2. list Korinťanom

Biblia - Sväté písmo

(KJV - Anglický - King James)

2Kor 11, 1-33

1 (KJV) Would to God ye could bear with me a little in my folly: and indeed bear with me.
1 (ROH) Bárs by ste ma zniesli niečo málo v mojom nerozume!

2 (KJV) For I am jealous over you with godly jealousy: for I have espoused you to one husband, that I may present you as a chaste virgin to Christ.
2 (ROH) Lebo horlím za vás horlivosťou Božou, lebo som si vás zasnúbil jednému mužovi, aby som vás predstavil a oddal ako čistú pannu Kristovi.

3 (KJV) But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtilty, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ.

4 (KJV) For if he that cometh preacheth another Jesus, whom we have not preached, or if ye receive another spirit, which ye have not received, or another gospel, which ye have not accepted, ye might well bear with him.
4 (ROH) Lebo pravda, ak ten, kto ide k vám, káže iného Ježiša, ktorého sme nekázali, alebo ak dostávate iného ducha, ktorého ste nedostali, alebo iného evanjelium, ktoré ste neprijali, pekne znášate.

5 (KJV) For I suppose I was not a whit behind the very chiefest apostles.

6 (KJV) But though I be rude in speech, yet not in knowledge; but we have been throughly made manifest among you in all things.

7 (KJV) Have I committed an offence in abasing myself that ye might be exalted, because I have preached to you the gospel of God freely?
7 (ROH) Alebo či som spáchal hriech, že sám seba ponižujem, aby ste vy boli povýšení, že som vám darmo zvestoval evanjelium Božie?

8 (KJV) I robbed other churches, taking wages of them, to do you service.

9 (KJV) And when I was present with you, and wanted, I was chargeable to no man: for that which was lacking to me the brethren which came from Macedonia supplied: and in all things I have kept myself from being burdensome unto you, and so will I keep myself.

10 (KJV) As the truth of Christ is in me, no man shall stop me of this boasting in the regions of Achaia.

11 (KJV) Wherefore? because I love you not? God knoweth.
11 (ROH) Prečo? Azda preto, že vás nemilujem? Bôh vie.

12 (KJV) But what I do, that I will do, that I may cut off occasion from them which desire occasion; that wherein they glory, they may be found even as we.
12 (ROH) Ale čo robím, to i budem robiť, aby som odťal príčinu tým, ktorí chcú príčinu, aby v tom, čím sa chvália, boli najdení takí jako aj my.

13 (KJV) For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ.

14 (KJV) And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light.

15 (KJV) Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works.

16 (KJV) I say again, Let no man think me a fool; if otherwise, yet as a fool receive me, that I may boast myself a little.

17 (KJV) That which I speak, I speak it not after the Lord, but as it were foolishly, in this confidence of boasting.

18 (KJV) Seeing that many glory after the flesh, I will glory also.
18 (ROH) Keď sa mnohí chvália podľa tela, i ja sa pochválim.

19 (KJV) For ye suffer fools gladly, seeing ye yourselves are wise.
19 (ROH) Lebo veď radi znášate nerozumných súc rozumní.

20 (KJV) For ye suffer, if a man bring you into bondage, if a man devour you, if a man take of you, if a man exalt himself, if a man smite you on the face.
20 (ROH) Lebo znášate i to, ak vás niekto otročí, ak niekto vyžiera, ak niekto berie, ak sa niekto povyšuje, ak vás niekto do tvári bije.

21 (KJV) I speak as concerning reproach, as though we had been weak. Howbeit whereinsoever any is bold, (I speak foolishly,) I am bold also.
21 (ROH) V nečesti hovorím, ako čo by sme my boli bývali slabí.

22 (KJV) Are they Hebrews? so am I. Are they Israelites? so am I. Are they the seed of Abraham? so am I.
22 (ROH) Že sú Hebreji? I ja. Sú Izraeliti? I ja. Sú semä Abrahámovo? I ja.

23 (KJV) Are they ministers of Christ? (I speak as a fool) I am more; in labours more abundant, in stripes above measure, in prisons more frequent, in deaths oft.
23 (ROH) Sú služobníkmi Kristovými? Nesmyselne hovorím - nad to ja! V prácach hojnejšie, v úderoch svrchovane, v žalároch hojnejšie, v smrtiach často.

24 (KJV) Of the Jews five times received I forty stripes save one.
24 (ROH) Od Židov som dostal päťkrát štyridsať bez jednej;

25 (KJV) Thrice was I beaten with rods, once was I stoned, thrice I suffered shipwreck, a night and a day I have been in the deep;
25 (ROH) tri razy ma palicovali, raz ma kameňovali; trikrát som zažil stroskotanie lode; deň a noc som trávil v hlbine;

26 (KJV) In journeyings often, in perils of waters, in perils of robbers, in perils by mine own countrymen, in perils by the heathen, in perils in the city, in perils in the wilderness, in perils in the sea, in perils among false brethren;
26 (ROH) na cestách často, v nebezpečenstvách riek, v nebezpečenstvách zo strany zbojníkov, v nebezpečenstvách zo strany rodákov, v nebezpečenstvách zo strany pohanov; v nebezpečenstvách v meste, v nebezpečenstvách na púšti, v nebezpečenstvách na mori, v nebezpečenstvách medzi falošnými bratmi;

27 (KJV) In weariness and painfulness, in watchings often, in hunger and thirst, in fastings often, in cold and nakedness.
27 (ROH) v práci a v námahe, v bdeniach často, o hlade a smäde, v pôstoch mnoho ráz, na zime a v nahote

28 (KJV) Beside those things that are without, that which cometh upon me daily, the care of all the churches.
28 (ROH) a krome iného, čo každodenne dolieha na mňa, starosť o všetky sbory.

29 (KJV) Who is weak, and I am not weak? who is offended, and I burn not?
29 (ROH) Ktože je slabý, a ja by som nebol slabý? Kto sa uráža, a ja by som sa nepálil?

30 (KJV) If I must needs glory, I will glory of the things which concern mine infirmities.
30 (ROH) Ak už sa musím chváliť, budem sa chváliť svojou slabosťou.

31 (KJV) The God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which is blessed for evermore, knoweth that I lie not.

32 (KJV) In Damascus the governor under Aretas the king kept the city of the Damascenes with a garrison, desirous to apprehend me:
32 (ROH) V Damašku vladár kráľa Aretu strážil mesto Damaščanov, čo ma chcel lapiť;

33 (KJV) And through a window in a basket was I let down by the wall, and escaped his hands.

A to nazýva "nerozumnosťou".

Mohla to byť dajaká chronická choroba (porov. Gal 4, 14–15), alebo prenasledovanie zo strany Židov (porov. Rim 9, 3).

2Kor 11,8 - Olupovaním nazýva Pavol to, čo prijímal od iných cirkví, len aby mohol slúžiť Korinťanom a nebol im na ťarchu.

2Kor 11,9 - Pavol sa živil prácou svojich rúk (porov. Sk 18, 3) a podporu prijal jedine z Macedónska (porov. Flp 4, 15).

2Kor 11,33 - Porov. Sk 9, 23–25.
