1 1Kor 8, 1 Now as touching things offered unto idols, we know that we all have knowledge. Knowledge puffeth up, but charity edifieth. 2 1Kor 8, 2 And if any man think that he knoweth anything, he knoweth nothing yet as he ought to know. 3 1Kor 8, 3 But if any man love God, the same is known of him. 4 1Kor 8, 4 As concerning therefore the eating of those things that are offered in sacrifice unto idols, we know that an idol is nothing in the world, and that there is none other God but one. 5 1Kor 8, 5 For though there be that are called gods, whether in heaven or in earth, (as there be gods many, and lords many,) 6 1Kor 8, 6 But to us there is but one God, the Father, of whom are all things, and we in him; and one Lord Jesus Christ, by whom are all things, and we by him. 7 1Kor 8, 7 Howbeit there is not in every man that knowledge: for some with conscience of the idol unto this hour eat it as a thing offered unto an idol; and their conscience being weak is defiled. 8 1Kor 8, 8 But meat commendeth us not to God: for neither, if we eat, are we the better; neither, if we eat not, are we the worse. 9 1Kor 8, 9 But take heed lest by any means this liberty of yours become a stumblingblock to them that are weak. 10 1Kor 8, 10 For if any man see thee which hast knowledge sit at meat in the idol's temple, shall not the conscience of him which is weak be emboldened to eat those things which are offered to idols; 11 1Kor 8, 11 And through thy knowledge shall the weak brother perish, for whom Christ died? 12 1Kor 8, 12 But when ye sin so against the brethren, and wound their weak conscience, ye sin against Christ. 13 1Kor 8, 13 Wherefore, if meat make my brother to offend, I will eat no flesh while the world standeth, lest I make my brother to offend.

Verš 4
As concerning therefore the eating of those things that are offered in sacrifice unto idols, we know that an idol is nothing in the world, and that there is none other God but one.
Rim 14:14 - I know, and am persuaded by the Lord Jesus, that there is nothing unclean of itself: but to him that esteemeth any thing to be unclean, to him it is unclean.
1Kor 10:19 - What say I then? that the idol is any thing, or that which is offered in sacrifice to idols is any thing?
Dt 4:39 - Know therefore this day, and consider it in thine heart, that the LORD he is God in heaven above, and upon the earth beneath: there is none else.
Ef 4:6 - One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all.
Verš 6
But to us there is but one God, the Father, of whom are all things, and we in him; and one Lord Jesus Christ, by whom are all things, and we by him.
Mal 2:10 - Have we not all one father? hath not one God created us? why do we deal treacherously every man against his brother, by profaning the covenant of our fathers?
Ef 4:6 - One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all.
Rim 11:36 - For of him, and through him, and to him, are all things: to whom be glory for ever. Amen.
Jn 13:13 - Ye call me Master and Lord: and ye say well; for so I am.
1Kor 12:3 - Wherefore I give you to understand, that no man speaking by the Spirit of God calleth Jesus accursed: and that no man can say that Jesus is the Lord, but by the Holy Ghost.
Flp 2:11 - And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.
Verš 7
Howbeit there is not in every man that knowledge: for some with conscience of the idol unto this hour eat it as a thing offered unto an idol; and their conscience being weak is defiled.
1Kor 10:28 - But if any man say unto you, This is offered in sacrifice unto idols, eat not for his sake that shewed it, and for conscience sake: for the earth is the Lord's, and the fulness thereof:
Verš 8
But meat commendeth us not to God: for neither, if we eat, are we the better; neither, if we eat not, are we the worse.
Rim 14:17 - For the kingdom of God is not meat and drink; but righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost.
