1 (UKJV) Now concerning spiritual gifts, brethren, I would not have you ignorant.
1 (B21) Pokud jde o duchovní dary, bratři, nechci, abyste zůstali v nevědomosti.
2 (UKJV) All of you know that all of you were Gentiles, carried away unto these dumb idols, even as all of you were led.
3 (UKJV) Wherefore I give you to understand, that no man speaking by the Spirit (o. pneuma) of God calls Jesus accursed: and that no man can say that Jesus is the Lord, but by the Holy Spirit. (o. pneuma)
4 (UKJV) Now there are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit. (o. pneuma)
4 (B21) Jsou různé dary, ale tentýž Duch,
5 (UKJV) And there are differences of administrations, but the same Lord.
5 (B21) jsou různé služby, ale tentýž Pán,
6 (UKJV) And there are diversities of operations, but it is the same God which works all in all.
7 (UKJV) But the manifestation of the Spirit (o. pneuma) is given to every man to profit likewise.
7 (B21) Každý ovšem dostává projev Ducha ke společnému užitku:
8 (UKJV) "In order to one is given by the Spirit (o. pneuma) the word (o. logos) of wisdom; to another the word (o. logos) of knowledge by the same Spirit; (o. pneuma) "
9 (UKJV) "To another faith by the same Spirit; (o. pneuma) to another the gifts of healing by the same Spirit; (o. pneuma) "
9 (B21) dalšímu víra v tomtéž Duchu, jinému dary uzdravování v tomtéž Duchu,
10 (UKJV) "To another the working of miracles; to another prophecy; to another discerning of spirits; (o. pneuma) to another divers kinds of tongues; to another the interpretation of tongues: "
10 (B21) jinému konání zázraků, jinému proroctví, jinému rozlišování duchů, jinému různé druhy jazyků, jinému výklad jazyků.
11 (UKJV) But all these works that one and the very same Spirit, (o. pneuma) dividing to every man severally as he will.
12 (UKJV) For as the body is one, and has many members, and all the members of that one body, being many, are one body: so also is Christ.
12 (B21) Tělo tvoří jeden celek, i když se skládá z mnoha částí; i když je všech těch částí mnoho, přece tvoří jedno tělo. A právě takové je to s Kristem.
13 (UKJV) "For by one Spirit (o. pneuma) are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit. (o. pneuma) "
13 (B21) Ať už jsme totiž Židé či Řekové, otroci nebo svobodní, všichni jsme jedním Duchem pokřtěni do téhož těla a jeden Duch se nám všem stal nápojem.
14 (UKJV) For the body is not one member, but many.
15 (UKJV) "If the foot shall say, Because I am not the hand, I am not of the body; is it therefore not of the body? "
15 (B21) Kdyby noha řekla: "Když nejsem ruka, nepatřím do těla," nepatří snad kvůli tomu do těla?
16 (UKJV) "And if the ear shall say, Because I am not the eye, I am not of the body; is it therefore not of the body? "
16 (B21) A kdyby ucho řeklo: "Když nejsem oko, nepatřím do těla," nepatří snad kvůli tomu do těla?
17 (UKJV) If the whole body were an eye, where were the hearing? If the whole were hearing, where were the smelling?
18 (UKJV) But now has God set the members every one of them in the body, as it has pleased him.
19 (UKJV) And if they were all one member, where were the body?
19 (B21) Kdyby všichni byli jednou částí, kam by se podělo tělo?
20 (UKJV) But now are they many members, yet but one body.
21 (UKJV) And the eye cannot say unto the hand, I have no need of you: nor again the head to the feet, I have no need of you.
21 (B21) Oko nemůže říci ruce: "Nepotřebuji tě," stejně jako hlava nemůže říci nohám: "Nepotřebuji vás."
22 (UKJV) Nay, much more those members of the body, which seem to be more feeble, are necessary:
22 (B21) Naopak!
23 (UKJV) "And those members of the body, which we think to be less honourable, upon these we bestow more abundant honour; and our indecent parts have more abundant loveliness. "
24 (UKJV) For our comely parts have no need: but God has tempered the body together, having given more abundant honour to that part which lacked.
25 (UKJV) "That there should be no division in the body; but that the members should have the same care one for another. "
26 (UKJV) "And whether one member suffer, all the members suffer with it; or one member be honoured, all the members rejoice with it. "
26 (B21) Vždyť trpí-li jedna část, všechny části trpí s ní, a je-li jedna část poctěna, všechny části se s ní radují.
27 (UKJV) Now all of you are the body of Christ, and members in particular.
27 (B21) Vy jste tedy tělo Kristovo a jednotlivě jeho části.
28 (UKJV) And God has set some in the church, first apostles, secondly prophets, thirdly teachers, after that miracles, then gifts of healings, helps, governments, diversities of tongues.
28 (B21) Bůh v církvi ustanovil jedny za apoštoly, druhé za proroky, třetí za učitele, potom zázraky, dary uzdravování, pomocné služby, vedení a různé druhy jazyků.
29 (UKJV) Are all apostles? are all prophets? are all teachers? are all workers of miracles?
29 (B21) Jsou snad všichni apoštolové? Jsou snad všichni proroci? Jsou snad všichni učitelé? Konají všichni zázraky?
30 (UKJV) Have all the gifts of healing? do all speak with tongues? do all interpret?
30 (B21) Mají všichni dary uzdravování? Mluví snad všichni jazyky? Vykládají snad všichni?
31 (UKJV) But covet earnestly the best gifts: and yet show I unto you a more excellent way.
31 (B21) Horlete po těch nejlepších darech. Ukážu vám však ještě mnohem vyšší cestu:

Verš 12
For as the body is one, and has many members, and all the members of that one body, being many, are one body: so also is Christ.
Rim 12:4 - For as we have many members in one body, and all members have not the same office:
