Rim 14, 1-24

1 (UKJV) Him that is weak in the faith receive all of you, but not to doubtful disputations.

2 (UKJV) For one believes that he may eat all things: another, who is weak, eats herbs.
2 (ROH) Lebo niekto verí, že smie jesť všetko, a zase niekto súc slabý jie zeliny.

3 (UKJV) "Let not him that eats despise him that eats not; and let not him which eats not judge him that eats: for God has received him. "
3 (ROH) Ten, kto jie, nech nepohŕda tým, kto nejie; a zase ten, kto nejie, nech nesúdi toho, kto jie, lebo ho Bôh prijal.

4 (UKJV) Who are you that judge another man's servant? to his own master he stands or falls. Yea, he shall be held up: for God is able to make him stand.

5 (UKJV) One man esteems one day above another: another esteems every day alike. Let every man be fully persuaded in his own mind.

6 (UKJV) "He that regards the day, regards it unto the Lord; and he that regards not the day, to the Lord he does not regard it. He that eats, eats to the Lord, for he gives God thanks; and he that eats not, to the Lord he eats not, and gives God thanks. "
6 (ROH) Kto dá na deň, dá Pánovi; kto nedá na deň, nedá Pánovi na deň. Kto jie, jie Pánovi, lebo ďakuje Bohu, a kto nejie, nejie Pánovi a ďakuje Bohu.

7 (UKJV) For none of us lives to himself, and no man dies to himself.
7 (ROH) Lebo nikto z nás nežije sám sebe, a nikto sám sebe nezomiera.

8 (UKJV) "For whether we live, we live unto the Lord; and whether we die, we die unto the Lord: whether we live therefore, or die, we are the Lord's. "
8 (ROH) Lebo keď žijeme, žijeme Pánovi; a keď mrieme, mrieme Pánovi. A tak tedy buď žijeme buď mrieme, sme Pánovi.

9 (UKJV) In order to this end Christ both died, and rose, and revived, that he might be Lord both of the dead and living.
9 (ROH) Lebo nato Kristus i zomrel i vstal i ožil, aby panoval i nad mŕtvymi i nad živými.

10 (UKJV) But why do you judge your brother? or why do you set at nothing your brother? for we shall all stand before the judgment seat of Christ.
10 (ROH) A ty prečože súdiš svojho brata? Alebo aj ty, prečo pohŕdaš svojím bratom? Lebo sa všetci postavíme pred súdnou stolicou Kristovou.

11 (UKJV) For it is written, As I live, says the Lord, every knee shall bow to me, and every tongue shall confess to God.

12 (UKJV) So then every one of us shall give account (o. logos) of himself to God.
12 (ROH) Tak tedy jeden každý z nás dá sám za seba Bohu počet.

13 (UKJV) Let us not therefore judge one another any more: but judge this rather, that no man put a stumbling block or an occasion to fall in his brother's way.

14 (UKJV) I know, and am persuaded by the Lord Jesus, that there is nothing unclean of itself: but to him that esteems any thing to be unclean, to him it is unclean.

15 (UKJV) But if your brother be grieved with your food, now walk you not charitably. (o. agape) Destroy not him with your food, for whom Christ died.

16 (UKJV) Let not then your good be evil spoken of:
16 (ROH) Nech sa tedy nerúhajú vášmu dobrému!

17 (UKJV) "For the kingdom of God is not food and drink; but righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Spirit. (o. pneuma) "

18 (UKJV) For he that in these things serves Christ is acceptable to God, and approved of men.
18 (ROH) Lebo kto v tomto slúži Kristovi, je ľúby Bohu a dokázaný ľuďom.

19 (UKJV) Let us therefore follow after the things which make for peace, and things wherewith one may edify another.

20 (UKJV) "For food destroy not the work of God. All things indeed are pure; but it is evil for that man who eats with offence. "

21 (UKJV) It is good neither to eat flesh, nor to drink wine, nor any thing whereby your brother stumbles, or is offended, or is made weak.

22 (UKJV) Have you faith? have it to yourself before God. Happy is he that condemns not himself in that thing which he allows.
22 (ROH) Ty že máš vieru? Maj ju sám u seba pred Bohom. Blahoslavený, kto sám seba nesúdi v tom, čo uznáva za dobré.

23 (UKJV) And he that doubts is damned if he eat, because he eats not of faith: for whatsoever is not of faith is sin.
23 (ROH) Ale ten, kto pochybuje, keď jie, je odsúdený, lebo to nie je z viery. A všetko, čo nie je z viery, je hriech.

Každý si, pravda, má utvoriť svedomie isté a správne a prejavovať lásku ku všetkým.

Rim 14,11 - Porov. Iz 49, 18; 45, 23.

1 Kor 8, 1–6).
