42 (KJV) Then God turned, and gave them up to worship the host of heaven; as it is written in the book of the prophets, O ye house of Israel, have ye offered to me slain beasts and sacrifices by the space of forty years in the wilderness?

43 (KJV) Yea, ye took up the tabernacle of Moloch, and the star of your god Remphan, figures which ye made to worship them: and I will carry you away beyond Babylon.

46 (KJV) Who found favour before God, and desired to find a tabernacle for the God of Jacob.
46 (B21) kterého si Bůh oblíbil a který prosil, aby mohl Bohu Jákobovu zřídit příbytek.

47 (KJV) But Solomon built him an house.
47 (B21) Šalomoun mu potom postavil dům.

48 (KJV) Howbeit the most High dwelleth not in temples made with hands; as saith the prophet,
48 (B21) Nejvyšší ale nebydlí v chrámech udělaných rukama. Jak říká prorok:

49 (KJV) Heaven is my throne, and earth is my footstool: what house will ye build me? saith the Lord: or what is the place of my rest?
Jaký mi chcete stavět dům, praví Hospodin, a jaké místo, kde bych spočinul?

50 (KJV) Hath not my hand made all these things?
50 (B21) Copak jsem toto vše svou rukou nestvořil?'

51 (KJV) Ye stiffnecked and uncircumcised in heart and ears, ye do always resist the Holy Ghost: as your fathers did, so do ye.
51 (B21) Jak jste jen tvrdošíjní! Chybí vám obřízka srdce a uší!

52 (KJV) Which of the prophets have not your fathers persecuted? and they have slain them which shewed before of the coming of the Just One; of whom ye have been now the betrayers and murderers:
52 (B21) Kterého z proroků vaši otcové nepronásledovali? Zabíjeli ty, kdo předpovídali příchod toho Spravedlivého, a vy jste ho teď zradili a zavraždili.

53 (KJV) Who have received the law by the disposition of angels, and have not kept it.
53 (B21) Přijali jste Zákon z rukou andělů, ale nezachovali jste ho!"

54 (KJV) When they heard these things, they were cut to the heart, and they gnashed on him with their teeth.

55 (KJV) But he, being full of the Holy Ghost, looked up stedfastly into heaven, and saw the glory of God, and Jesus standing on the right hand of God,
55 (B21) On však, plný Ducha svatého, upřel pohled k nebi. Uviděl Boží slávu a Ježíše stojícího po Boží pravici

56 (KJV) And said, Behold, I see the heavens opened, and the Son of man standing on the right hand of God.
56 (B21) a zvolal: "Hle, vidím otevřené nebe a Syna člověka stojícího po Boží pravici!"

57 (KJV) Then they cried out with a loud voice, and stopped their ears, and ran upon him with one accord,

58 (KJV) And cast him out of the city, and stoned him: and the witnesses laid down their clothes at a young man's feet, whose name was Saul.
58 (B21) Vyhnali ho ven z města, kde ho kamenovali. Svědkové si tehdy odložili pláště k nohám mladíka jménem Saul.

59 (KJV) And they stoned Stephen, calling upon God, and saying, Lord Jesus, receive my spirit.
59 (B21) Zatímco ho kamenovali, Štěpán se modlil: "Pane Ježíši, přijmi mého ducha."

60 (KJV) And he kneeled down, and cried with a loud voice, Lord, lay not this sin to their charge. And when he had said this, he fell asleep.
