1 (UKJV) But a certain man named Ananias, with Sapphira his wife, sold a possession,
1 (LS) Mais un homme nommé Ananias, avec Saphira sa femme, vendit une propriété,

2 (UKJV) And kept back part of the price, his wife also being privy to it, and brought a certain part, and laid it at the apostles' feet.
2 (LS) et retint une partie du prix, sa femme le sachant; puis il apporta le reste, et le déposa aux pieds des apôtres.

3 (UKJV) But Peter said, Ananias, why has Satan filled your heart to lie to the Holy Spirit, (o. pneuma) and to keep back part of the price of the land?
3 (LS) Pierre lui dit: Ananias, pourquoi Satan a-t-il rempli ton coeur, au point que tu mentes au Saint-Esprit, et que tu aies retenu une partie du prix du champ?

4 (UKJV) While it remained, was it not your own? and after it was sold, was it not in your own power? why have you conceived this thing in your heart? you have not lied unto men, but unto God.
4 (LS) S'il n'eût pas été vendu, ne te restait-il pas? Et, après qu'il a été vendu, le prix n'était-il pas à ta disposition? Comment as-tu pu mettre en ton coeur un pareil dessein? Ce n'est pas à des hommes que tu as menti, mais à Dieu.

5 (UKJV) And Ananias hearing these words (o. logos) fell down, and gave up the spirit: and great fear came on all them that heard these things.
5 (LS) Ananias, entendant ces paroles, tomba, et expira. Une grande crainte saisit tous les auditeurs.

6 (UKJV) And the young men arose, wound him up, and carried him out, and buried him.
6 (LS) Les jeunes gens, s'étant levés, l'enveloppèrent, l'emportèrent, et l'ensevelirent.

7 (UKJV) And it was about the space of three hours after, when his wife, not knowing what was done, came in.
7 (LS) Environ trois heures plus tard, sa femme entra, sans savoir ce qui était arrivé.

8 (UKJV) And Peter answered unto her, Tell me whether all of you sold the land for so much? And she said, Yea, for so much.
8 (LS) Pierre lui adressa la parole: Dis-moi, est-ce à un tel prix que vous avez vendu le champ? Oui, répondit-elle, c'est à ce prix-là.

9 (UKJV) Then Peter said unto her, How is it that all of you have agreed together to tempt the Spirit (o. pneuma) of the Lord? behold, the feet of them which have buried your husband are at the door, and shall carry you out.
9 (LS) Alors Pierre lui dit: Comment vous êtes-vous accordés pour tenter l'Esprit du Seigneur? Voici, ceux qui ont enseveli ton mari sont à la porte, et ils t'emporteront.

10 (UKJV) Then fell she down immediately at his feet, and yielded up the spirit: and the young men came in, and found her dead, and, carrying her forth, buried her by her husband.
10 (LS) Au même instant, elle tomba aux pieds de l'apôtre, et expira. Les jeunes gens, étant entrés, la trouvèrent morte; ils l'emportèrent, et l'ensevelirent auprès de son mari.

11 (UKJV) And great fear came upon all the church, and upon as many as heard these things.
11 (LS) Une grande crainte s'empara de toute l'assemblée et de tous ceux qui apprirent ces choses.

12 (UKJV) "And by the hands of the apostles were many signs and wonders wrought among the people; (and they were all with one accord in Solomon's porch. "
12 (LS) Beaucoup de miracles et de prodiges se faisaient au milieu du peuple par les mains des apôtres. Ils se tenaient tous ensemble au portique de Salomon,

13 (UKJV) And of the rest durst no man join himself to them: but the people magnified them.
13 (LS) et aucun des autres n'osait se joindre à eux; mais le peuple les louait hautement.

14 (UKJV) And believers were the more added to the Lord, multitudes both of men and women.)
14 (LS) Le nombre de ceux qui croyaient au Seigneur, hommes et femmes, s'augmentait de plus en plus;

15 (UKJV) Insomuch that they brought forth the sick into the streets, and laid them on beds and couches, that at the least the shadow of Peter passing by might overshadow some of them.
15 (LS) en sorte qu'on apportait les malades dans les rues et qu'on les plaçait sur des lits et des couchettes, afin que, lorsque Pierre passerait, son ombre au moins couvrît quelqu'un d'eux.

16 (UKJV) There came also a multitude out of the cities round about unto Jerusalem, bringing sick folks, and them which were vexed with unclean spirits: (o. pneuma) and they were healed every one.
16 (LS) La multitude accourait aussi des villes voisines à Jérusalem, amenant des malades et des gens tourmentés par des esprits impurs; et tous étaient guéris.

17 (UKJV) Then the high priest rose up, and all they that were with him, (which is the sect of the Sadducees,) and were filled with indignation,
17 (LS) Cependant le souverain sacrificateur et tous ceux qui étaient avec lui, savoir le parti des sadducéens, se levèrent, remplis de jalousie,

18 (UKJV) And laid their hands on the apostles, and put them in the common prison.
18 (LS) mirent les mains sur les apôtres, et les jetèrent dans la prison publique.

19 (UKJV) But the angel of the Lord by night opened the prison doors, and brought them forth, and said,
19 (LS) Mais un ange du Seigneur, ayant ouvert pendant la nuit les portes de la prison, les fit sortir, et leur dit:

20 (UKJV) Go, stand and speak in the temple to the people all the words (o. rhema) of this life.
20 (LS) Allez, tenez-vous dans le temple, et annoncez au peuple toutes les paroles de cette vie.

21 (UKJV) And when they heard that, they entered into the temple early in the morning, and taught. But the high priest came, and they that were with him, and called the council together, and all the senate of the children of Israel, and sent to the prison to have them brought.
21 (LS) Ayant entendu cela, ils entrèrent dès le matin dans le temple, et se mirent à enseigner. Le souverain sacrificateur et ceux qui étaient avec lui étant survenus, ils convoquèrent le sanhédrin et tous les anciens des fils d'Israël, et ils envoyèrent chercher les apôtres à la prison.

22 (UKJV) But when the officers came, and found them not in the prison, they returned and told,
22 (LS) Les huissiers, à leur arrivée, ne les trouvèrent point dans la prison. Ils s'en retournèrent, et firent leur rapport,

23 (UKJV) Saying, The prison truly found we shut with all safety, and the keepers standing without before the doors: but when we had opened, we found no man within.
23 (LS) en disant: Nous avons trouvé la prison soigneusement fermée, et les gardes qui étaient devant les portes; mais, après avoir ouvert, nous n'avons trouvé personne dedans.

24 (UKJV) Now when the high priest and the captain of the temple and the chief priests heard these things, (o. logos) they doubted of them unto which this would grow.
24 (LS) Lorsqu'ils eurent entendu ces paroles, le commandant du temple et les principaux sacrificateurs ne savaient que penser des apôtres et des suites de cette affaire.

25 (UKJV) Then came one and told them, saying, Behold, the men whom all of you put in prison are standing in the temple, and teaching the people.
25 (LS) Quelqu'un vint leur dire: Voici, les hommes que vous avez mis en prison sont dans le temple, et ils enseignent le peuple.

26 (UKJV) Then went the captain with the officers, and brought them without violence: for they feared the people, lest they should have been stoned.
26 (LS) Alors le commandant partit avec les huissiers, et les conduisit sans violence, car ils avaient peur d'être lapidés par le peuple.

27 (UKJV) And when they had brought them, they set them before the council: and the high priest asked them,
27 (LS) Après qu'ils les eurent amenés en présence du sanhédrin, le souverain sacrificateur les interrogea

28 (UKJV) Saying, Did not we strictly command you that all of you should not teach in this name? and, behold, all of you have filled Jerusalem with your doctrine, and intend to bring this man's blood upon us.
28 (LS) en ces termes: Ne vous avons-nous pas défendu expressément d'enseigner en ce nom-là? Et voici, vous avez rempli Jérusalem de votre enseignement, et vous voulez faire retomber sur nous le sang de cet homme!

29 (UKJV) Then Peter and the other apostles answered and said, We ought to obey God rather than men.
29 (LS) Pierre et les apôtres répondirent: Il faut obéir à Dieu plutôt qu'aux hommes.

30 (UKJV) The God of our fathers raised up Jesus, whom all of you slew and hanged on a tree.
30 (LS) Le Dieu de nos pères a ressuscité Jésus, que vous avez tué, en le pendant au bois.

31 (UKJV) Him has God exalted with his right hand to be a Prince and a Saviour, in order to give repentance to Israel, and forgiveness of sins.
31 (LS) Dieu l'a élevé par sa droite comme Prince et Sauveur, pour donner à Israël la repentance et le pardon des péchés.

32 (UKJV) "And we are his witnesses of these things; (o. rhema) and so is also the Holy Spirit, (o. pneuma) whom God has given to them that obey him. "
32 (LS) Nous sommes témoins de ces choses, de même que le Saint-Esprit, que Dieu a donné à ceux qui lui obéissent.

33 (UKJV) When they heard that, they were cut to the heart, and took counsel to slay them.
33 (LS) Furieux de ces paroles, ils voulaient les faire mourir.

34 (UKJV) "Then stood there up one in the council, a Pharisee, named Gamaliel, a doctor of the law, had in reputation among all the people, and commanded to put the apostles forth a little space; "
34 (LS) Mais un pharisien, nommé Gamaliel, docteur de la loi, estimé de tout le peuple, se leva dans le sanhédrin, et ordonna de faire sortir un instant les apôtres.

35 (UKJV) And said unto them, All of you men of Israel, take heed to yourselves what all of you intend to do as concerning these men.
35 (LS) Puis il leur dit: Hommes Israélites, prenez garde à ce que vous allez faire à l'égard de ces gens.

36 (UKJV) "For before these days rose up Theudas, boasting himself to be somebody; to whom a number of men, about four hundred, joined themselves: who was slain; and all, as many as obeyed him, were scattered, and brought to nothing. "
36 (LS) Car, il n'y a pas longtemps que parut Theudas, qui se donnait pour quelque chose, et auquel se rallièrent environ quatre cents hommes: il fut tué, et tous ceux qui l'avaient suivi furent mis en déroute et réduits à rien.

37 (UKJV) "After this man rose up Judas of Galilee in the days of the taxing, and drew away much people after him: he also perished; and all, even as many as obeyed him, were dispersed. "
37 (LS) Après lui, parut Judas le Galiléen, à l'époque du recensement, et il attira du monde à son parti: il périt aussi, et tous ceux qui l'avaient suivi furent dispersés.

38 (UKJV) And now I say unto you, Refrain from these men, and let them alone: for if this counsel or this work be of men, it will come to nothing:
38 (LS) Et maintenant, je vous le dis ne vous occupez plus de ces hommes, et laissez-les aller. Si cette entreprise ou cette oeuvre vient des hommes, elle se détruira;

39 (UKJV) "But if it be of God, all of you cannot overthrow it; lest lest by any means all of you be found even to fight against God. "
39 (LS) mais si elle vient de Dieu, vous ne pourrez la détruire. Ne courez pas le risque d'avoir combattu contre Dieu.

40 (UKJV) And to him they agreed: and when they had called the apostles, and beaten them, they commanded that they should not speak in the name of Jesus, and let them go.
40 (LS) Ils se rangèrent à son avis. Et ayant appelé les apôtres, ils les firent battre de verges, ils leur défendirent de parler au nom de Jésus, et ils les relâchèrent.

41 (UKJV) And they departed from the presence of the council, rejoicing that they were counted worthy to suffer shame for his name.
41 (LS) Les apôtres se retirèrent de devant le sanhédrin, joyeux d'avoir été jugés dignes de subir des outrages pour le nom de Jésus.

42 (UKJV) And daily in the temple, and in every house, they ceased not to teach and preach Jesus Christ.
42 (LS) Et chaque jour, dans le temple et dans les maisons, ils ne cessaient d'enseigner, et d'annoncer la bonne nouvelle de Jésus-Christ.
