Sk 28, 1-31

1 (UKJV) And when they were escaped, then they knew that the island was called Melita.
1 (ROH) A keď sme už boli zachránení, vtedy sme poznali, že sa ostrov volá Melita.

2 (UKJV) And the natives people showed us no little kindness: for they kindled a fire, and received us every one, because of the present rain, and because of the cold.

3 (UKJV) And when Paul had gathered a bundle of sticks, and laid them on the fire, there came a viper out of the heat, and fastened on his hand.

4 (UKJV) And when the barbarians saw the venomous beast hang on his hand, they said among themselves, No doubt this man is a murderer, whom, though he has escaped the sea, yet vengeance suffers not to live.

5 (UKJV) And he shook off the beast into the fire, and felt no harm.
5 (ROH) Ale on striasol zviera do ohňa, a nestalo sa mu nič zlého.

6 (UKJV) Nevertheless they looked when he should have swollen, or fallen down dead suddenly: but after they had looked a great while, and saw no harm come to him, they changed their minds, and said that he was a god.

7 (UKJV) "In the same quarters were possessions of the chief man of the island, whose name was Publius; who received us, and lodged us three days courteously. "
7 (ROH) A na okolí toho miesta mal polia najpoprednejší človek ostrova, menom Publius, ktorý nás prijal a tri dni priateľsky hostil.

8 (UKJV) And it came to pass, that the father of Publius lay sick of a fever and of a dysentery: to whom Paul entered in, and prayed, and laid his hands on him, and healed him.

9 (UKJV) So when this was done, others also, which had diseases in the island, came, and were healed:
9 (ROH) A keď sa to stalo, prichádzali aj ostatní na ostrove, ktorí boli nemocní, a boli uzdravení,

10 (UKJV) "Who also honoured us with many honours; and when we departed, they laded us with such things as were necessary. "
10 (ROH) ktorí nás i mnohými cťami ctili, a keď sme sa mali odplaviť, nakládli, čo bolo treba na cestu.

11 (UKJV) And after three months we departed in a ship of Alexandria, which had wintered in the isle, whose sign was Castor and Pollux.

12 (UKJV) And landing at Syracuse, we tarried there three days.
12 (ROH) A keď sme sa doplavili do Syrakúz, pobudli sme tam tri dni,

13 (UKJV) And from thence we fetched a compass, and came to Rhegium: and after one day the south wind blew, and we came the next day to Puteoli:
13 (ROH) odkiaľ sme išli okolo a prišli sme do Regia, a keď o deň neskoršie vial poludniak, prišli sme na druhý deň do Potiól,

14 (UKJV) Where we found brethren, and were desired to tarry with them seven days: and so we went toward Rome.
14 (ROH) kde sme našli bratov, ktorí nás prosili, žeby sme zostali u nich sedem dní, a tak sme prišli do Ríma.

15 (UKJV) And from thence, when the brethren heard of us, they came to meet us as far as Appii forum, and The three taverns: whom when Paul saw, he thanked God, and took courage.
15 (ROH) A odtiaľ bratia, keď počuli o nás, prišli nám naproti až po Apiovo Forum, po námestie Apiovo, a ku Tres tabernä, ku Trom krčmám. A keď ich videl Pavel, poďakoval Bohu, rozveselil sa a nabral smelosti.

16 (UKJV) And when we came to Rome, the centurion delivered the prisoners to the captain of the guard: but Paul was suffered to dwell by himself with a soldier that kept him.
16 (ROH) A keď sme vošli do Ríma, stotník oddal väzňov hlavnému veliteľovi, ale Pavlovi bolo dovolené bývať osebe s vojakom, ktorý ho strážil.

17 (UKJV) And it came to pass, that after three days Paul called the chief of the Jews together: and when they were come together, he said unto them, Men and brethren, though I have committed nothing against the people, or customs of our fathers, yet was I delivered prisoner from Jerusalem into the hands of the Romans.

18 (UKJV) Who, when they had examined me, would have let me go, because there was no cause of death in me.

19 (UKJV) "But when the Jews spoke against it, I was constrained to appeal unto Caesar; not that I had ought to accuse my nation of. "

20 (UKJV) For this cause therefore have I called for you, to see you, and to speak with you: because that for the hope of Israel I am bound with this chain.

21 (UKJV) And they said unto him, We neither received letters out of Judaea concerning you, neither any of the brethren that came showed or spoke any harm of you.

22 (UKJV) But we desire to hear of you what you think: for as concerning this sect, we know that every where it is spoken against.

23 (UKJV) "And when they had appointed him a day, there came many to him into his lodging; to whom he expounded and testified the kingdom of God, persuading them concerning Jesus, both out of the law of Moses, and out of the prophets, from morning till evening. "
23 (ROH) A keď mu určili deň, prišli k nemu viacerí do jeho bytu.

24 (UKJV) And some believed the things which were spoken, and some believed not.
24 (ROH) A jedni verili tomu, čo hovoril, druhí neverili.

25 (UKJV) And when they agreed not among themselves, they departed, after that Paul had spoken one word, (o. rhema) Well spoke the Holy Spirit (o. pneuma) by Isaiah the prophet unto our fathers,
25 (ROH) A tak nie súc jednomyseľní medzi sebou rozchádzali sa, keď povedal Pavel to jedno slovo: Dobre hovoril Svätý Duch skrze proroka Izaiáša našim otcom,

26 (UKJV) "Saying, Go unto this people, and say, Hearing all of you shall hear, and shall not understand; and seeing all of you shall see, and not perceive: "
26 (ROH) keď povedal: Idi k tomuto ľudu a povedz: Počuť, áno počujete, ale neporozumejte a hľadieť, i hľadieť budete, ale nevidzte!

27 (UKJV) "For the heart of this people is waxed gross, and their ears are dull of hearing, and their eyes have they closed; lest they should see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and understand with their heart, and should be converted, and I should heal them. "
27 (ROH) Lebo stučnelo srdce tohoto ľudu, a ušami ťažko počuli a svoje oči zažmúrili, aby snáď nejako očami nevideli, ušami nepočuli, srdcom neporozumeli a neobrátili sa, a uzdravil by som ich.

28 (UKJV) Be it known therefore unto you, that the salvation of God is sent unto the Gentiles, and that they will hear it.

29 (UKJV) And when he had said these words, the Jews departed, and had great reasoning among themselves.
29 (ROH) A keď to povedal, odišli Židia veľmi sa medzi sebou dohadujúc.

30 (UKJV) And Paul dwelt two whole years in his own hired house, and received all that came in unto him,
30 (ROH) A Pavel zostal celé dva roky v byte, ktorý si sám najal, a prijímal všetkých, ktorí prichádzali k nemu,

31 (UKJV) Preaching the kingdom of God, and teaching those things which concern the Lord Jesus Christ, with all confidence, no man forbidding him.
31 (ROH) a kázal kráľovstvo Božie a učil o Pánu Ježišu Kristovi úplne smele a bez prekážky.
