Sk 26, 1-32

1 (UKJV) Then Agrippa said unto Paul, You are permitted to speak for yourself. Then Paul stretched forth the hand, and answered for himself:
1 (KAT) Agrippa povedal Pavlovi: „Dovoľuje sa ti hovoriť na svoju obranu.“ Vtedy Pavol vystrel ruku a začal svoju obrannú reč:

2 (UKJV) I think myself happy, king Agrippa, because I shall answer for myself this day before you concerning all the things whereof I am accused of the Jews:
2 (KAT) „Kráľ Agrippa, pokladám sa za šťastného, že sa smiem dnes pred tebou brániť proti všetkému, čo Židia na mňa žalujú,

3 (UKJV) Especially because I know you to be expert in all customs and questions which are among the Jews: wherefore I plead to you to hear me patiently.
3 (KAT) tým viac, že ty poznáš všetky židovské obyčaje a sporné otázky. Preto ťa prosím, trpezlivo ma vypočuj.

4 (UKJV) "My manner of life from my youth, which was at the first among mine own nation at Jerusalem, know all the Jews; "

5 (UKJV) Which knew me from the beginning, if they would testify, that after the most strictest sect of our religion I lived a Pharisee.

6 (UKJV) And now I stand and am judged for the hope of the promise made of God, unto our fathers:
6 (KAT) A teraz stojím pred súdom pre nádej z prisľúbenia, ktoré dostali od Boha naši otcovia.

7 (UKJV) Unto which promise our twelve tribes, instantly serving God day and night, hope to come. For which hope's sake, king Agrippa, I am accused of the Jews.
7 (KAT) Dvanásť našich kmeňov dúfa, že ho dosiahne, a preto mu vytrvalo slúži dňom i nocou. Pre túto nádej ma Židia, kráľ môj, žalujú.

8 (UKJV) Why should it be thought a thing incredible with you, that God should raise the dead?

9 (UKJV) I verily thought with myself, that I ought to do many things contrary to the name of Jesus of Nazareth.
9 (KAT) Ja som si tiež myslel, že musím všemožne bojovať proti menu Ježiša Nazaretského.

10 (UKJV) "Which thing I also did in Jerusalem: and many of the saints did I shut up in prison, having received authority from the chief priests; and when they were put to death, I gave my voice against them. "
10 (KAT) A to som v Jeruzaleme aj robil. A keď som dostal od veľkňazov moc, veľa svätých som dal pozatvárať do väzenia; a keď ich zabíjali, ja som súhlasil.

11 (UKJV) "And I punished them often in every synagogue, and compelled them to blaspheme; and being exceedingly mad against them, I persecuted them even unto strange cities. "

12 (UKJV) Whereupon as I went to Damascus with authority and commission from the chief priests,
12 (KAT) Keď som takto išiel do Damasku s mocou a dovolením veľkňazov,

13 (UKJV) At midday, O king, I saw in the way a light from heaven, above the brightness of the sun, shining round about me and them which journeyed with me.

14 (UKJV) And when we were all fallen to the earth, I heard a voice speaking unto me, and saying in the Hebrew tongue, Saul, Saul, why persecute you me? it is hard for you to kick against the pricks.
14 (KAT) Všetci sme padli na zem a ja som počul hlas, ktorý mi po hebrejsky hovoril: »Šavol, Šavol, prečo ma prenasleduješ? Ťažko ti proti ostňu sa vzpierať.«

15 (UKJV) And I said, Who are you, Lord? And he said, I am Jesus whom you persecute.
15 (KAT) Ja som sa spýtal: »Kto si, Pane?« A Pán povedal: »Ja som Ježiš, ktorého ty prenasleduješ.

16 (UKJV) "But rise, and stand upon your feet: for I have appeared unto you for this purpose, to make you a minister and a witness both of these things which you have seen, and of those things in the which I will appear unto you; "
16 (KAT) Ale vstaň a stoj na nohách; lebo som sa ti na to zjavil, aby som ťa ustanovil za služobníka a svedka toho, čo si videl, i toho, čo ti ešte zjavím.

17 (UKJV) Delivering you from the people, and from the Gentiles, unto whom now I send you,
17 (KAT) Budem ťa chrániť pred ľudom aj pred pohanmi, ku ktorým ťa posielam

18 (UKJV) To open their eyes, and to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan unto God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins, and inheritance among them which are sanctified by faith that is in me.

19 (UKJV) Whereupon, O king Agrippa, I was not disobedient unto the heavenly vision:
19 (KAT) Preto som, kráľ Agrippa, nemohol odporovať nebeskému videniu,

20 (UKJV) But showed first unto them of Damascus, and at Jerusalem, and throughout all the coasts of Judaea, and then to the Gentiles, that they should repent and turn to God, and do works meet for repentance.

21 (UKJV) For these causes the Jews caught me in the temple, and went about to kill me.

22 (UKJV) Having therefore obtained help of God, I continue unto this day, witnessing both to small and great, saying no other things than those which the prophets and Moses did say should come:
22 (KAT) Ale Boh mi pomohol, a tak som tu do dnešného dňa a svedčím malému i veľkému. A nehovorím nič zvláštne, len to, čo predpovedali do budúcnosti Proroci a Mojžiš:

23 (UKJV) That Christ should suffer, and that he should be the first that should rise from the dead, and should show light unto the people, and to the Gentiles.

24 (UKJV) "And as he thus spoke for himself, Festus said with a loud voice, Paul, you are out of your mind; much learning does make you mad. "
24 (KAT) Keď sa takto bránil, Festus zvolal veľkým hlasom: „Šalieš, Pavol! Veľká učenosť ťa privádza do šialenstva.“

25 (UKJV) "But he said, I am not mad, most noble Festus; but speak forth the words (o. rhema) of truth and soberness. "
25 (KAT) Ale Pavol povedal: „Nešaliem, vznešený Festus, hovorím pravdivé a triezve slová.

26 (UKJV) "For the king knows of these things, before whom also I speak freely: for I am persuaded that none of these things are hidden from him; for this thing was not done in a corner. "

27 (UKJV) King Agrippa, believe you the prophets? I know that you believe.
27 (KAT) Veríš, kráľ Agrippa, prorokom? Viem, že veríš.“

28 (UKJV) Then Agrippa said unto Paul, Almost you persuade me to be a Christian.
28 (KAT) Agrippa povedal Pavlovi: „Bezmála by si ma presvedčil, aby som sa stal kresťanom.“

29 (UKJV) And Paul said, I would to God, that not only you, but also all that hear me this day, were both almost, and altogether such as I am, except these bonds.
29 (KAT) A Pavol: „Dal by Boh, aby si sa nielen ty, ale aby sa všetci títo, čo ma dnes počúvajú, stali v malom i veľkom takými, akým som ja, okrem týchto pút!“

30 (UKJV) And when he had thus spoken, the king rose up, and the governor, and Bernice, and they that sat with them:
30 (KAT) Tu vstal kráľ aj vladár, Berenika a ostatní, čo s nimi sedeli,

31 (UKJV) And when they were gone aside, they talked between themselves, saying, This man does nothing worthy of death or of bonds.

32 (UKJV) Then said Agrippa unto Festus, This man might have been set at liberty, if he had not appealed unto Caesar.
32 (KAT) A Agrippa povedal Festovi: „Tento človek mohol byť prepustený, keby sa nebol odvolal na cisára.“
