Sk 15,1 - Ide o židokresťanov, ktorí učili, že pohania ešte pred prijatím krstu sa majú dať obrezať. Toto učenie popieralo, že na spásu stačí viera v Krista. Pavol a Barnabáš však mali iný názor. Aby sa pohan mohol stať kresťanom a byť spaseným, nemusí sa stať Židom (porov. Gal 1, 7; 2, 1–10; 5, 2).
Sk 15,7 - Peter sa odvoláva na udalosť s Kornéliom (hl. 10.).
Sk 15,8 - Porov. 10, 44.
Sk 15,11 - Cesta spásy je jediná tak pre Židov, ako aj pre pohanov.
Sk 15,16-17 - Porov. Am 9, 11–12.
Sk 15,20 - Apoštol Jakub navrhuje, aby kresťania obrátení z pohanstva aspoň v niečom brali ohľad na židokresťanov a vyhýbali sa tomu, čo ich najviac pohoršuje. Porov. Lv 18, 6–18; 17, 10–16.
Sk 15,22 - Barsabáš je neznámy. Sílas je Pavlov spolupracovník (15, 40).
Sk 15,23 - Ide vlastne o prvý dokument, ktorý sa týka cirkevnej disciplíny.
Sk 15,34 - Neovulgáta tento verš vynecháva. Znie: "Sílas sa rozhodol zostať tam; Júda sa vrátil sám do Jeruzalema." Tento verš chýba v najdôležitejších rukopisoch. Pravdepodobne ide o marginálnu poznámku k v. 40.
Sk 15,36 - Tu sa začína druhá Pavlova misijná cesta (roky 50–52). Pavol šiel cez Galáciu do európskych stredísk na pobreží Egejského mora. Sú to Filipy, Solún, Atény a Korint.
Sk 15,40 - Pavol si zvolil za sprievodcu Sílasa, ktorý bol pravdepodobne rímskym občanom (16, 37), mal dôveru Cirkvi (15, 22) a bol vystrojený aj darom proroctva (15, 32).
