1 (UKJV) The former treatise (o. logos) have I made, O Theophilus, of all that Jesus began both to do and teach,
1 (ROH) Prvú knihu som napísal, Teofíle, o všetkom, čo započal Ježiš činiť a učiť,
1 (RIV) Nel mio primo libro, o Teofilo, parlai di tutto quel che Gesù prese e a fare e ad insegnare,

2 (UKJV) Until the day in which he was taken up, after that he through the Holy Spirit (o. pneuma) had given commandments unto the apostles whom he had chosen:
2 (ROH) až do toho dňa, ktorého vzatý bol hore do neba, keď už bol dal skrze Svätého Ducha prikázania apoštolom, ktorých si vyvolil,
2 (RIV) fino al giorno che fu assunto in cielo, dopo aver dato per lo Spirito Santo dei comandamenti agli apostoli che avea scelto.

3 (UKJV) To whom also he showed himself alive after his passion by many infallible proofs, being seen of them forty days, and speaking of the things pertaining to the kingdom of God:
3 (ROH) ktorým sa aj zjavoval živý po svojom utrpení mnohými dôkazmi ukazujúc sa im štyridsať dní a hovoriac s nimi o kráľovstve Božom.
3 (RIV) Ai quali anche, dopo ch’ebbe sofferto, si presentò vivente con molte prove, facendosi veder da loro per quaranta giorni, e ragionando delle cose relative al regno di Dio.

4 (UKJV) And, being assembled together with them, commanded them that they should not depart from Jerusalem, but wait for the promise of the Father, which, says he, all of you have heard of me.
4 (ROH) A shromažďujúc sa s nimi prikazoval im, aby neodchádzali z Jeruzalema, ale aby čakali zasľúbenie Otcovo, o ktorom zasľúbení ste vraj počuli od mňa;
4 (RIV) E trovandosi con essi, ordinò loro di non dipartirsi da Gerusalemme, ma di aspettarvi il compimento della promessa del Padre, la quale, egli disse, avete udita da me.

5 (UKJV) "For John truly baptized with water; but all of you shall be baptized with the Holy Spirit (o. pneuma) not many days behind. "
5 (ROH) totiž že Ján krstil vodou, ale vy budete pokrstení Svätým Duchom už o nie mnoho dní.
5 (RIV) Poiché Giovanni battezzò sì con acqua, ma voi sarete battezzati con lo Spirito Santo fra non molti giorni.

6 (UKJV) When they therefore were come together, they asked of him, saying, Lord, will you at this time restore again the kingdom to Israel?
6 (ROH) A oni síduc sa pýtali sa ho a vraveli: Pane, či v tomto čase obnovíš Izraelovi kráľovstvo?
6 (RIV) Quelli dunque che erano raunati, gli domandarono: Signore, è egli in questo tempo che ristabilirai il regno ad Israele?

7 (UKJV) And he said unto them, It is not for you to know the times or the seasons, which the Father has put in his own power.
7 (ROH) A on im povedal: To nie je vašou vecou zvedieť časy alebo jednotlivé doby, ktoré si Otec uložil vo svojej vlastnej moci,
7 (RIV) Egli rispose loro: Non sta a voi di sapere i tempi o i momenti che il Padre ha riserbato alla sua propria autorità.

8 (UKJV) But all of you shall receive power, after that the Holy Spirit (o. pneuma) has come upon you: and all of you shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.
8 (ROH) ale prijmete moc Svätého Ducha, ktorý prijde na vás, a budete mi svedkami i v Jeruzaleme i po celom Judsku i v Samárii a tak až do poslednej končiny zeme.
8 (RIV) Ma voi riceverete potenza quando lo Spirito Santo verrà su voi, e mi sarete testimoni e in Gerusalemme, e in tutta la Giudea e Samaria, e fino all’estremità della terra.

9 (UKJV) "And when he had spoken these things, while they beheld, he was taken up; and a cloud received him out of their sight. "
9 (ROH) A keď to povedal, zdvihnutý bol hore, kým oni hľadeli na to, a podňal ho oblak a vzal zpred ich očí.
9 (RIV) E dette queste cose, mentr’essi guardavano, fu elevato; e una nuvola, accogliendolo, lo tolse d’innanzi agli occhi loro.

10 (UKJV) "And while they looked steadfastly toward heaven as he went up, behold, two men stood by them in white apparel; "
10 (ROH) A jako v tom, čo odchádzal, upretým zrakom hľadeli do neba, tu hľa, dvaja mužovia sa postavili vedľa nich v bielom rúchu,
10 (RIV) E come essi aveano gli occhi fissi in cielo, mentr’egli se ne andava, ecco che due uomini in vesti bianche si presentaron loro e dissero:

11 (UKJV) Which also said, All of you men of Galilee, why stand all of you gazing up into heaven? this same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as all of you have seen him go into heaven.
11 (ROH) ktorí aj povedali: Galilejskí mužovia, čo tu stojíte a hľadíte do neba? Tento Ježiš, ktorí bol vzatý od vás hore do neba, prijde tak, ako ste ho videli ísť do neba.
11 (RIV) Uomini Galilei, perché state a guardare verso il cielo? Questo Gesù che è stato tolto da voi ed assunto in cielo, verrà nella medesima maniera che l’avete veduto andare in cielo.

12 (UKJV) Then returned they unto Jerusalem from the mount called Olivet, which is from Jerusalem a sabbath day's journey.
12 (ROH) Vtedy sa vrátili do Jeruzalema s vrchu, zvaného Olivového, ktorý je blízko Jeruzalema, na cestu sobotného dňa od neho.
12 (RIV) Allora essi tornarono a Gerusalemme dal monte chiamato dell’Uliveto, il quale è vicino a Gerusalemme, non distandone che un cammin di sabato.

13 (UKJV) And when they were come in, they went up into an upper room, where abode both Peter, and James, and John, and Andrew, Philip, and Thomas, Bartholomew, and Matthew, James the son of Alphaeus, and Simon Zelotes, and Judas the brother of James.
13 (ROH) A keď vošli do mesta, vyšli do vrchnej dvorany, kde sa zdržovali Peter a Jakob a Ján a Andrej, Filip a Tomáš, Bartolomeus a Matúš, Jakob Alfeov a Šimon Zelóta, Horlivec, a Júdas Jakobov.
13 (RIV) E come furono entrati, salirono nella sala di sopra ove solevano trattenersi Pietro e Giovanni e Giacomo e Andrea, Filippo e Toma, Bartolomeo e Matteo, Giacomo d’Alfeo, e Simone lo Zelota, e Giuda di Giacomo.

14 (UKJV) These all continued with one accord in prayer and supplication, with the women, and Mary the mother of Jesus, and with his brethren.
14 (ROH) Títo všetci zotrvávali jednomyseľne na modlitbe a v pokornej prosbe so ženami a s Máriou, matkou Ježišovou, i s jeho bratmi.
14 (RIV) Tutti costoro perseveravano di pari consentimento nella preghiera, con le donne, e con Maria, madre di Gesù, e coi fratelli di lui.

15 (UKJV) And in those days Peter stood up in the midst of the disciples, and said, (the number of names together were about an hundred and twenty,)
15 (ROH) A v tých dňoch vstal Peter v strede učeníkov (a bol tam vovedne zástup tak asi sto dvadsať duší) a povedal:
15 (RIV) E in que’ giorni, Pietro, levatosi in mezzo ai fratelli (il numero delle persone adunate saliva a circa centoventi), disse:

16 (UKJV) Men and brethren, this scripture must essentially have been fulfilled, which the Holy Spirit (o. pneuma) by the mouth of David spoke before concerning Judas, which was guide to them that took Jesus.
16 (ROH) Mužovia bratia, muselo sa naplniť písmo, ktoré predpovedal Svätý Duch skrze ústa Dávidove o Judášovi, ktorý sa stal vodcom tým, ktorí zajali Ježiša,
16 (RIV) Fratelli, bisognava che si adempisse la profezia della Scrittura pronunziata dallo Spirito Santo per bocca di Davide intorno a Giuda, che fu la guida di quelli che arrestarono Gesù.

17 (UKJV) For he was numbered with us, and had obtained part of this ministry.
17 (ROH) pretože bol počítaný k nám a bol dostal podiel na tejto službe.
17 (RIV) Poiché egli era annoverato fra noi, e avea ricevuto la sua parte di questo ministerio.

18 (UKJV) "Now this man purchased a field with the reward of iniquity; and falling headlong, he burst asunder in the midst, and all his bowels gushed out. "
18 (ROH) Ten si teda nadobudol pole za mzdu neprávosti a svaliac sa strmhlav rozpukol sa napoly, a vykydly sa všetky jeho vnútornosti.
18 (RIV) Costui dunque acquistò un campo col prezzo della sua iniquità; ed essendosi precipitato, gli si squarciò il ventre, e tutte le sue interiora si sparsero.

19 (UKJV) "And it was known unto all the dwellers at Jerusalem; insomuch as that field is called in their proper tongue, Aceldama, that is to say, The field of blood. "
19 (ROH) A stalo sa to známym všetkým, ktorí bývajú v Jeruzaleme, takže je nazvané to pole ich vlastným nárečím: Akeldama, to jest Pole krvi.
19 (RIV) E ciò è divenuto così noto a tutti gli abitanti di Gerusalemme, che quel campo è stato chiamato nel loro proprio linguaggio Acheldama, cioè, Campo di sangue.

20 (UKJV) For it is written in the book of Psalms, Let his habitation be desolate, and let no man dwell therein: and his bishoprick let another take.
20 (ROH) Lebo je napísané v knihe žalmov: Nech je jeho príbytok pustý, a nech nie je nikoho, kto by býval v ňom! a: Jeho biskupstvo nech vezme iný!
20 (RIV) Poiché è scritto nel libro dei Salmi: Divenga la sua dimora deserta, e non vi sia chi abiti in essa; e: L’ufficio suo lo prenda un altro.

21 (UKJV) Wherefore of these men which have companied with us all the time that the Lord Jesus went in and out among us,
21 (ROH) Musí teda jeden z týchto mužov, ktorí sa s nami schádzali po celý čas, v ktorom Pán Ježiš vchádzal a vychádzal, žil a obcoval medzi nami,
21 (RIV) Bisogna dunque che fra gli uomini che sono stati in nostra compagnia tutto il tempo che il Signor Gesù è andato e venuto fra noi,

22 (UKJV) Beginning from the baptism of John, unto that same day that he was taken up from us, must one be ordained to be a witness with us of his resurrection.
22 (ROH) počnúc od krstu Jánovho až do dňa, v ktorom bol vzatý od nás hore do neba, byť s nami svedkom jeho zmŕtvychvstania.
22 (RIV) a cominciare dal battesimo di Giovanni fino al giorno ch’egli, tolto da noi, è stato assunto in cielo, uno sia fatto testimone con noi della risurrezione di lui.

23 (UKJV) And they appointed two, Joseph called Barsabas, who was surnamed Justus, and Matthias.
23 (ROH) A tak postavili dvoch, Jozefa, zvaného Barsabáša, ktorý mal prímeno Justus, Spravedlivý, a Mateja.
23 (RIV) E ne presentarono due: Giuseppe, detto Barsabba, il quale era soprannominato Giusto, e Mattia.

24 (UKJV) And they prayed, and said, You, Lord, which know the hearts of all men, show whether of these two you have chosen,
24 (ROH) A pomodliac sa povedali: Ty, Pane, ktorý znáš srdcia všetkých ľudí, ukáž, prosíme, z týchto dvoch toho jedného, ktorého si si vyvolil,
24 (RIV) E, pregando, dissero: Tu, Signore, che conosci i cuori di tutti, mostra quale di questi due hai scelto

25 (UKJV) That he may take part of this ministry and apostleship, from which Judas by transgression fell, that he might go to his own place.
25 (ROH) aby dostal podiel na tejto službe a na apoštolstve, odkiaľ odstúpil Judáš, aby odišiel na svoje vlastné miesto.
25 (RIV) per prendere in questo ministerio ed apostolato il posto che Giuda ha abbandonato per andarsene al suo luogo.

26 (UKJV) "And they gave forth their lots; and the lot fell upon Matthias; and he was numbered with the eleven apostles. "
26 (ROH) A dali im losy, a los padol na Mateja, a bol spolu počítaný s jedonástimi apoštolmi.
26 (RIV) E li trassero a sorte, e la sorte cadde su Mattia, che fu associato agli undici apostoli.
