Jn 8, 1-59

1 (UKJV) Jesus went unto the mount of Olives.
1 (LS) Jésus se rendit à la montagne des oliviers.

2 (UKJV) "And early in the morning he came again into the temple, and all the people came unto him; and he sat down, and taught them. "
2 (LS) Mais, dès le matin, il alla de nouveau dans le temple, et tout le peuple vint à lui. S'étant assis, il les enseignait.

3 (UKJV) "And the scribes and Pharisees brought unto him a woman taken in adultery; and when they had set her in the midst, "
3 (LS) Alors les scribes et les pharisiens amenèrent une femme surprise en adultère; et, la plaçant au milieu du peuple,

4 (UKJV) They say unto him, Master, this woman was taken in adultery, in the very act.
4 (LS) ils dirent à Jésus: Maître, cette femme a été surprise en flagrant délit d'adultère.

5 (UKJV) Now Moses in the law commanded us, that such should be stoned: but what say you?
5 (LS) Moïse, dans la loi, nous a ordonné de lapider de telles femmes: toi donc, que dis-tu?

6 (UKJV) This they said, tempting him, that they might have to accuse him. But Jesus stooped down, and with his finger wrote on the ground, as though he heard them not.
6 (LS) Ils disaient cela pour l'éprouver, afin de pouvoir l'accuser. Mais Jésus, s'étant baissé, écrivait avec le doigt sur la terre.

7 (UKJV) So when they continued asking him, he lifted up himself, and said unto them, He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her.
7 (LS) Comme ils continuaient à l'interroger, il se releva et leur dit: Que celui de vous qui est sans péché jette le premier la pierre contre elle.

8 (UKJV) And again he stooped down, and wrote on the ground.
8 (LS) Et s'étant de nouveau baissé, il écrivait sur la terre.

9 (UKJV) And they which heard it, being convicted by their own conscience, went out one by one, beginning at the eldest, even unto the last: and Jesus was left alone, and the woman standing in the midst.
9 (LS) Quand ils entendirent cela, accusés par leur conscience, ils se retirèrent un à un, depuis les plus âgés jusqu'aux derniers; et Jésus resta seul avec la femme qui était là au milieu.

10 (UKJV) When Jesus had lifted up himself, and saw none but the woman, he said unto her, Woman, where are those your accusers? has no man condemned you?
10 (LS) Alors s'étant relevé, et ne voyant plus que la femme, Jésus lui dit: Femme, où sont ceux qui t'accusaient? Personne ne t'a-t-il condamnée?

11 (UKJV) She said, No man, Lord. And Jesus said unto her, Neither do I condemn you: go, and sin no more.
11 (LS) Elle répondit: Non, Seigneur. Et Jésus lui dit: Je ne te condamne pas non plus: va, et ne pèche plus.

12 (UKJV) Then spoke Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that follows me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.
12 (LS) Jésus leur parla de nouveau, et dit: Je suis la lumière du monde; celui qui me suit ne marchera pas dans les ténèbres, mais il aura la lumière de la vie.

13 (UKJV) "The Pharisees therefore said unto him, You bear record of yourself; your record is not true. "
13 (LS) Là-dessus, les pharisiens lui dirent: Tu rends témoignage de toi-même; ton témoignage n'est pas vrai.

14 (UKJV) "Jesus answered and said unto them, Though I bear record of myself, yet my record is true: for I know whence I came, and where I go; but all of you cannot tell whence I come, and where I go. "
14 (LS) Jésus leur répondit: Quoique je rende témoignage de moi-même, mon témoignage est vrai, car je sais d'où je suis venu et où je vais; mais vous, vous ne savez d'où je viens ni où je vais.

15 (UKJV) "All of you judge after the flesh; I judge no man. "
15 (LS) Vous jugez selon la chair; moi, je ne juge personne.

16 (UKJV) And yet if I judge, my judgment is true: for I am not alone, but I and the Father that sent me.
16 (LS) Et si je juge, mon jugement est vrai, car je ne suis pas seul; mais le Père qui m'a envoyé est avec moi.

17 (UKJV) It is also written in your law, that the testimony of two men is true.
17 (LS) Il est écrit dans votre loi que le témoignage de deux hommes est vrai;

18 (UKJV) I am one that bear witness of myself, and the Father that sent me bears witness of me.
18 (LS) je rends témoignage de moi-même, et le Père qui m'a envoyé rend témoignage de moi.

19 (UKJV) Then said they unto him, Where is your Father? Jesus answered, All of you neither know me, nor my Father: if all of you had known me, all of you should have known my Father also.
19 (LS) Ils lui dirent donc: Où est ton Père? Jésus répondit: Vous ne connaissez ni moi, ni mon Père. Si vous me connaissiez, vous connaîtriez aussi mon Père.

20 (UKJV) "These words (o. rhema) spoke Jesus in the treasury, as he taught in the temple: and no man laid hands on him; for his hour was not yet come. "
20 (LS) Jésus dit ces paroles, enseignant dans le temple, au lieu où était le trésor; et personne ne le saisit, parce que son heure n'était pas encore venue.

21 (UKJV) Then said Jesus again unto them, I go my way, and all of you shall seek me, and shall die in your sins: where I go, all of you cannot come.
21 (LS) Jésus leur dit encore: Je m'en vais, et vous me chercherez, et vous mourrez dans votre péché; vous ne pouvez venir où je vais.

22 (UKJV) Then said the Jews, Will he kill himself? because he says, Where I go, all of you cannot come.
22 (LS) Sur quoi les Juifs dirent: Se tuera-t-il lui-même, puisqu'il dit: Vous ne pouvez venir où je vais?

23 (UKJV) "And he said unto them, All of you are from beneath; I am from above: all of you are of this world; I am not of this world. "
23 (LS) Et il leur dit: Vous êtes d'en bas; moi, je suis d'en haut. Vous êtes de ce monde; moi, je ne suis pas de ce monde.

24 (UKJV) I said therefore unto you, that all of you shall die in your sins: for if all of you believe not that I am he, all of you shall die in your sins.
24 (LS) C'est pourquoi je vous ai dit que vous mourrez dans vos péchés; car si vous ne croyez pas ce que je suis, vous mourrez dans vos péchés.

25 (UKJV) Then said they unto him, Who are you? And Jesus says unto them, Even the same that I said unto you from the beginning.
25 (LS) Qui es-tu? lui dirent-ils. Jésus leur répondit: Ce que je vous dis dès le commencement.

26 (UKJV) "I have many things to say and to judge of you: but he that sent me is true; and I speak to the world those things which I have heard of him. "
26 (LS) J'ai beaucoup de choses à dire de vous et à juger en vous; mais celui qui m'a envoyé est vrai, et ce que j'ai entendu de lui, je le dis au monde.

27 (UKJV) They understood not that he spoke to them of the Father.
27 (LS) Ils ne comprirent point qu'il leur parlait du Père.

28 (UKJV) "Then said Jesus unto them, When all of you have lifted up the Son of man, then shall all of you know that I am he, and that I do nothing of myself; but as my Father has taught me, I speak these things. "
28 (LS) Jésus donc leur dit: Quand vous aurez élevé le Fils de l'homme, alors vous connaîtrez ce que je suis, et que je ne fais rien de moi-même, mais que je parle selon ce que le Père m'a enseigné.

29 (UKJV) "And he that sent me is with me: the Father has not left me alone; for I do always those things that please him. "
29 (LS) Celui qui m'a envoyé est avec moi; il ne m'a pas laissé seul, parce que je fais toujours ce qui lui est agréable.

30 (UKJV) As he spoke these words, many believed on him.
30 (LS) Comme Jésus parlait ainsi, plusieurs crurent en lui.

31 (UKJV) "Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If all of you continue in my word, (o. logos) then are all of you my disciples indeed; "
31 (LS) Et il dit aux Juifs qui avaient cru en lui: Si vous demeurez dans ma parole, vous êtes vraiment mes disciples;

32 (UKJV) And all of you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.
32 (LS) vous connaîtrez la vérité, et la vérité vous affranchira.

33 (UKJV) They answered him, We be Abraham's seed, and were never in bondage to any man: how say you, All of you shall be made free?
33 (LS) Ils lui répondirent: Nous sommes la postérité d'Abraham, et nous ne fûmes jamais esclaves de personne; comment dis-tu: Vous deviendrez libres?

34 (UKJV) Jesus answered them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whosoever commits sin is the servant of sin.
34 (LS) En vérité, en vérité, je vous le dis, leur répliqua Jésus, quiconque se livre au péché est esclave du péché.

35 (UKJV) And the servant abides not in the house for ever: but the Son abides ever.
35 (LS) Or, l'esclave ne demeure pas toujours dans la maison; le fils y demeure toujours.

36 (UKJV) If the Son therefore shall make you free, all of you shall be free indeed.
36 (LS) Si donc le Fils vous affranchit, vous serez réellement libres.

37 (UKJV) "I know that all of you are Abraham's seed; but all of you seek to kill me, because my word (o. logos) has no place in you. "
37 (LS) Je sais que vous êtes la postérité d'Abraham; mais vous cherchez à me faire mourir, parce que ma parole ne pénètre pas en vous.

38 (UKJV) I speak that which I have seen with my Father: and all of you do that which all of you have seen with your father.
38 (LS) Je dis ce que j'ai vu chez mon Père; et vous, vous faites ce que vous avez entendu de la part de votre père.

39 (UKJV) They answered and said unto him, Abraham is our father. Jesus says unto them, If all of you were Abraham's children, all of you would do the works of Abraham.
39 (LS) Ils lui répondirent: Notre père, c'est Abraham. Jésus leur dit: Si vous étiez enfants d'Abraham, vous feriez les oeuvres d'Abraham.

40 (UKJV) But now all of you seek to kill me, a man that has told you the truth, which I have heard of God: this did not Abraham.
40 (LS) Mais maintenant vous cherchez à me faire mourir, moi qui vous ai dit la vérité que j'ai entendue de Dieu. Cela, Abraham ne l'a point fait.

41 (UKJV) "All of you do the deeds of your father. Then said they to him, We be not born of fornication; we have one Father, even God. "
41 (LS) Vous faites les oeuvres de votre père. Ils lui dirent: Nous ne sommes pas des enfants illégitimes; nous avons un seul Père, Dieu.

42 (UKJV) "Jesus said unto them, If God were your Father, all of you would love me: for I proceeded forth and came from God; neither came I of myself, but he sent me. "
42 (LS) Jésus leur dit: Si Dieu était votre Père, vous m'aimeriez, car c'est de Dieu que je suis sorti et que je viens; je ne suis pas venu de moi-même, mais c'est lui qui m'a envoyé.

43 (UKJV) Why do all of you not understand my speech? even because all of you cannot hear my word. (o. logos)
43 (LS) Pourquoi ne comprenez-vous pas mon langage? Parce que vous ne pouvez écouter ma parole.

44 (UKJV) All of you are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father all of you will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaks a lie, he speaks of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.
44 (LS) Vous avez pour père le diable, et vous voulez accomplir les désirs de votre père. Il a été meurtrier dès le commencement, et il ne se tient pas dans la vérité, parce qu'il n'y a pas de vérité en lui. Lorsqu'il profère le mensonge, il parle de son propre fonds; car il est menteur et le père du mensonge.

45 (UKJV) And because I tell you the truth, all of you believe me not.
45 (LS) Et moi, parce que je dis la vérité, vous ne me croyez pas.

46 (UKJV) Which of you convinces me of sin? And if I say the truth, why do all of you not believe me?
46 (LS) Qui de vous me convaincra de péché? Si je dis la vérité, pourquoi ne me croyez-vous pas?

47 (UKJV) He that is of God hears God's words: (o. rhema) all of you therefore hear them not, because all of you are not of God.
47 (LS) Celui qui est de Dieu, écoute les paroles de Dieu; vous n'écoutez pas, parce que vous n'êtes pas de Dieu.

48 (UKJV) Then answered the Jews, and said unto him, Say we not well that you are a Samaritan, and have a devil?
48 (LS) Les Juifs lui répondirent: N'avons-nous pas raison de dire que tu es un Samaritain, et que tu as un démon?

49 (UKJV) "Jesus answered, I have not a devil; but I honour my Father, and all of you do dishonour me. "
49 (LS) Jésus répliqua: Je n'ai point de démon; mais j'honore mon Père, et vous m'outragez.

50 (UKJV) And I seek not mine own glory: there is one that seeks and judges.
50 (LS) Je ne cherche point ma gloire; il en est un qui la cherche et qui juge.

51 (UKJV) Verily, verily, I say unto you, If a man keep my saying, (o. logos) he shall never see death.
51 (LS) En vérité, en vérité, je vous le dis, si quelqu'un garde ma parole, il ne verra jamais la mort.

52 (UKJV) "Then said the Jews unto him, Now we know that you have a devil. Abraham is dead, and the prophets; and you say, If a man keep my saying, (o. logos) he shall never taste of death. "
52 (LS) Maintenant, lui dirent les Juifs, nous connaissons que tu as un démon. Abraham est mort, les prophètes aussi, et tu dis: Si quelqu'un garde ma parole, il ne verra jamais la mort.

53 (UKJV) Are you greater than our father Abraham, which is dead? and the prophets are dead: whom make you yourself?
53 (LS) Es-tu plus grand que notre père Abraham, qui est mort? Les prophètes aussi sont morts. Qui prétends-tu être?

54 (UKJV) "Jesus answered, If I honour myself, my honour is nothing: it is my Father that honors me; of whom all of you say, that he is your God: "
54 (LS) Jésus répondit: Si je me glorifie moi-même, ma gloire n'est rien. C'est mon Père qui me glorifie, lui que vous dites être votre Dieu,

55 (UKJV) "Yet all of you have not known him; but I know him: and if I should say, I know him not, I shall be a liar like unto you: but I know him, and keep his saying. (o. logos) "
55 (LS) et que vous ne connaissez pas. Pour moi, je le connais; et, si je disais que je ne le connais pas, je serais semblable à vous, un menteur. Mais je le connais, et je garde sa parole.

56 (UKJV) Your father Abraham rejoiced to see my day: and he saw it, and was glad.
56 (LS) Abraham, votre père, a tressailli de joie de ce qu'il verrait mon jour: il l'a vu, et il s'est réjoui.

57 (UKJV) Then said the Jews unto him, You are not yet fifty years old, and have you seen Abraham?
57 (LS) Les Juifs lui dirent: Tu n'as pas encore cinquante ans, et tu as vu Abraham!

58 (UKJV) Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Before Abraham was, I am.
58 (LS) Jésus leur dit: En vérité, en vérité, je vous le dis, avant qu'Abraham fût, je suis.

59 (UKJV) Then took they up stones to cast at him: but Jesus hid himself, and went out of the temple, going through the midst of them, and so passed by.
59 (LS) Là-dessus, ils prirent des pierres pour les jeter contre lui; mais Jésus se cacha, et il sortit du temple.

Now Moses in the law commanded us, that such should be stoned: but what say you?

Lv 20:10 - And the man that commits adultery with another man's wife, even he that commits adultery with his neighbour's wife, the adulterer and the adulteress shall surely be put to death.

Dt 22:22 - If a man be found lying with a woman married to an husband, then they shall both of them die, both the man that lay with the woman, and the woman: so shall you put away evil from Israel.

Verš 7

So when they continued asking him, he lifted up himself, and said unto them, He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her.

Dt 17:7 - The hands of the witnesses shall be first upon him to put him to death, and afterward the hands of all the people. So you shall put the evil away from among you.

Verš 11

She said, No man, Lord. And Jesus said unto her, Neither do I condemn you: go, and sin no more.

Jn 5:14 - Afterward Jesus finds him in the temple, and said unto him, Behold, you are made whole: sin no more, lest a worse thing come unto you.

Verš 12

Then spoke Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that follows me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.

Iz 42:16 - "And I will bring the blind by a way that they knew not; I will lead them in paths that they have not known: I will make darkness light before them, and crooked things straight. These things will I do unto them, and not forsake them. "

Jn 1:9 - That was the true Light, which lights every man that comes into the world.

Jn 9:5 - As long as I am in the world, I am the light of the world.

Jn 12:35 - Then Jesus said unto them, Yet a little while is the light with you. Walk while all of you have the light, lest darkness come upon you: for he that walks in darkness knows not where he goes.

"Jesus answered and said unto them, Though I bear record of myself, yet my record is true: for I know whence I came, and where I go; but all of you cannot tell whence I come, and where I go. "

Jn 5:31 - If I bear witness of myself, my witness is not true.

Verš 17

It is also written in your law, that the testimony of two men is true.

Nm 35:30 - Whoso kills any person, the murderer shall be put to death by the mouth of witnesses: but one witness shall not testify against any person to cause him to die.

Dt 17:6 - "At the mouth of two witnesses, or three witnesses, shall he that is worthy of death be put to death; but at the mouth of one witness he shall not be put to death. "

Dt 19:15 - One witness shall not rise up against a man for any iniquity, or for any sin, in any sin that he sins: at the mouth of two witnesses, or at the mouth of three witnesses, shall the matter be established.

Mt 18:16 - But if he will not hear you, then take with you one or two more, that in the mouth of two or three witnesses every word (o. rhema) may be established.

2Kor 13:1 - This is the third time I am coming to you. In the mouth of two or three witnesses shall every word (o. rhema) be established.

Heb 10:28 - He that despised Moses' law died without mercy under two or three witnesses:

I am one that bear witness of myself, and the Father that sent me bears witness of me.

Mt 3:17 - And lo a voice from heaven, saying, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.

Mt 17:5 - "While he yet spoke, behold, a bright cloud overshadowed them: and behold a voice out of the cloud, which said, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased; hear all of you him. "

Mk 1:11 - And there came a voice from heaven, saying, You are my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.

Mk 9:7 - And there was a cloud that overshadowed them: and a voice came out of the cloud, saying, This is my beloved Son: hear him.

Lk 3:22 - "And the Holy Spirit (o. pneuma) descended in a bodily shape like a dove upon him, and a voice came from heaven, which said, You are my beloved Son; in you I am well pleased. "

Lk 9:35 - And there came a voice out of the cloud, saying, This is my beloved Son: hear him.

Jn 1:33 - And I knew him not: but he that sent me to baptize with water, the same said unto me, Upon whom you shall see the Spirit (o. pneuma) descending, and remaining on him, the same is he which baptizes with the Holy Spirit. (o. pneuma)

Jn 5:37 - And the Father himself, which has sent me, has borne witness of me. All of you have neither heard his voice at any time, nor seen his shape.

Jn 6:27 - Labour not for the food which perishes, but for that food which endures unto everlasting life, which the Son of man shall give unto you: for him has God the Father sealed.

Then said they unto him, Where is your Father? Jesus answered, All of you neither know me, nor my Father: if all of you had known me, all of you should have known my Father also.

Jn 16:3 - And these things will they do unto you, because they have not known the Father, nor me.

Jn 14:9 - "Jesus says unto him, Have I been so long time with you, and yet have you not known me, Philip? he that has seen me has seen the Father; and how say you then, Show us the Father? "

"These words (o. rhema) spoke Jesus in the treasury, as he taught in the temple: and no man laid hands on him; for his hour was not yet come. "

Jn 7:30 - Then they sought to take him: but no man laid hands on him, because his hour was not yet come.

Verš 21

Then said Jesus again unto them, I go my way, and all of you shall seek me, and shall die in your sins: where I go, all of you cannot come.

Jn 7:34 - All of you shall seek me, and shall not find me: and where I am, thither all of you cannot come.

Jn 13:33 - "Little children, yet a little while I am with you. All of you shall seek me: and as I said unto the Jews, Where I go, all of you cannot come; so now I say to you. "

"And he said unto them, All of you are from beneath; I am from above: all of you are of this world; I am not of this world. "

Jn 3:31 - He that comes from above is above all: he that is of the earth is earthly, and speaks of the earth: he that comes from heaven is above all.

Verš 24

I said therefore unto you, that all of you shall die in your sins: for if all of you believe not that I am he, all of you shall die in your sins.

Jn 8:21 - Then said Jesus again unto them, I go my way, and all of you shall seek me, and shall die in your sins: where I go, all of you cannot come.

Verš 26

"I have many things to say and to judge of you: but he that sent me is true; and I speak to the world those things which I have heard of him. "

Jn 7:28 - Then cried Jesus in the temple as he taught, saying, All of you both know me, and all of you know whence I am: and I am not come of myself, but he that sent me is true, whom all of you know not.

Rim 3:4 - "God forbid: yea, let God be true, but every man a liar; as it is written, That you might be justified in your sayings, (o. logos) and might overcome when you are judged. "

Jn 15:15 - "Henceforth I call you not servants; for the servant knows not what his lord does: but I have called you friends; for all things that I have heard of my Father I have made known unto you. "

"Then said Jesus unto them, When all of you have lifted up the Son of man, then shall all of you know that I am he, and that I do nothing of myself; but as my Father has taught me, I speak these things. "

Nm 21:9 - And Moses made a serpent of brass, and put it upon a pole, and it came to pass, that if a serpent had bitten any man, when he beheld the serpent of brass, he lived.

2Kr 18:4 - He removed the high places, and brake the images, and cut down the groves, and brake in pieces the brazen serpent that Moses had made: for unto those days the children of Israel did burn incense to it: and he called it Nehushtan.

Jn 3:14 - And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up:

Jn 12:32 - And I, if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw all men unto me.

Jn 3:11 - "Verily, verily, I say unto you, We speak that we do know, and testify that we have seen; and all of you receive not our witness. "

Jn 7:16 - Jesus answered them, and said, My doctrine is not mine, but his that sent me.

Jn 12:49 - "For I have not spoken of myself; but the Father which sent me, he gave me a commandment, what I should say, and what I should speak. "

Jn 14:10 - Believe you not that I am in the Father, and the Father in me? the (o. rhema) words that I speak unto you I speak not of myself: but the Father that dwells in me, he does the works.

Jn 14:24 - He that loves me not keeps not my sayings: (o. logos) and the word (o. logos) which all of you hear is not mine, but the Father's which sent me.

Verš 29

"And he that sent me is with me: the Father has not left me alone; for I do always those things that please him. "

Jn 14:10 - Believe you not that I am in the Father, and the Father in me? the (o. rhema) words that I speak unto you I speak not of myself: but the Father that dwells in me, he does the works.

Jn 16:32 - Behold, the hour comes, yea, is now come, that all of you shall be scattered, every man to his own, and shall leave me alone: and yet I am not alone, because the Father is with me.

Verš 30

As he spoke these words, many believed on him.

Jn 7:31 - And many of the people believed on him, and said, When Christ comes, will he do more miracles than these which this man has done?

Verš 32

And all of you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.

Rim 6:18 - Being then made free from sin, all of you became the servants of righteousness.

Gal 5:1 - Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ has made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage.

1Pt 2:16 - As free, and not using your liberty for a coat of maliciousness, but as the servants of God.

Verš 33

They answered him, We be Abraham's seed, and were never in bondage to any man: how say you, All of you shall be made free?

Mt 3:9 - And think not to say within yourselves, We have Abraham to our father: for I say unto you, that God is able of these stones to raise up children unto Abraham.

Verš 34

Jesus answered them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whosoever commits sin is the servant of sin.

Rim 6:20 - For when all of you were the servants of sin, all of you were free from righteousness.

2Pt 2:19 - While they promise them liberty, they themselves are the servants of corruption: for of whom a man is overcome, of the same is he brought in bondage.

Verš 36

If the Son therefore shall make you free, all of you shall be free indeed.

Rim 8:2 - For the law of the Spirit (o. pneuma) of life in Christ Jesus has made me free from the law of sin and death.

Verš 38

I speak that which I have seen with my Father: and all of you do that which all of you have seen with your father.
