Evanjelium podľa Jána

1 (KAT) Potom sa Ježiš znova zjavil učeníkom pri Tiberiadskom mori. A zjavil sa takto:
1 (VUL) Postea manifestavit se ite rum Iesus discipulis ad mare Tiberiadis; manifestavit autem sic.
1 (UKJV) "After these things Jesus showed himself again to the disciples at the sea of Tiberias; and likewise showed he himself. "

2 (KAT) Boli spolu Šimon Peter, Tomáš nazývaný Didymus, Natanael z Kány Galilejskej, Zebedejovi synovia a iní dvaja z jeho učeníkov.
2 (VUL) Erant simul Simon Petrus et Thomas, qui dicitur Didymus, et Nathanael, qui erat a Cana Galilaeae, et filii Zebedaei et alii ex discipulis eius duo.
2 (UKJV) There were together Simon Peter, and Thomas called Didymus, and Nathanael of Cana in Galilee, and the sons of Zebedee, and two other of his disciples.

3 (KAT) Šimon Peter im povedal: „Idem loviť ryby.“ Povedali mu: „Pôjdeme aj my s tebou.“ Išli a nastúpili na loď. Ale tej noci nechytili nič.
3 (VUL) Dicit eis Simon Petrus: “ Vado piscari ”. Dicunt ei: “ Venimus et nos tecum ”. Exierunt et ascenderunt in navem; et illa nocte nihil prendiderunt.
3 (UKJV) "Simon Peter says unto them, I go a fishing. They say unto him, We also go with you. They went forth, and entered into a ship immediately; and that night they caught nothing. "

4 (KAT) Keď sa už rozodnilo, stál Ježiš na brehu; ale učeníci nevedeli, že je to Ježiš.
4 (VUL) Mane autem iam facto, stetit Iesus in litore; non tamen sciebant discipuli quia Iesus est.
4 (UKJV) But when the morning was now come, Jesus stood on the shore: but the disciples knew not that it was Jesus.

5 (KAT) A Ježiš sa ich opýtal: „Deti, máte niečo na jedenie?“ Odpovedali mu: „Nemáme.“
5 (VUL) Dicit ergo eis Iesus: “ Pueri, numquid pulmentarium habetis? ”. Responderunt ei: “ Non ”.
5 (UKJV) Then Jesus says unto them, Children, have all of you any food? They answered him, No.

6 (KAT) On im povedal: „Spustite sieť z pravej strany lode a nájdete.“ Oni spustili a pre množstvo rýb ju už nevládali vytiahnuť.
6 (VUL) Ille autem dixit eis: “ Mittite in dexteram navigii rete et invenietis ”. Miserunt ergo et iam non valebant illud trahere a multitudine piscium.
6 (UKJV) And he said unto them, Cast the net on the right side of the ship, and all of you shall find. They cast therefore, and now they were not able to draw it for the multitude of fishes.

7 (KAT) Učeník, ktorého Ježiš miloval, povedal Petrovi: „To je Pán.“ Len čo Šimon Peter počul, že je to Pán, pripásal si šaty - bol totiž nahý - a skočil do mora.
7 (VUL) Dicit ergo discipulus ille, quem diligebat Iesus, Petro: “ Dominus est! ”. Simon ergo Petrus, cum audisset quia Dominus est, tunicam succinxit se, erat enim nudus, et misit se in mare;
7 (UKJV) Therefore that disciple whom Jesus loved says unto Peter, It is the Lord. Now when Simon Peter heard that it was the Lord, he girt his fisher's coat unto him, (for he was naked,) and did cast himself into the sea.

8 (KAT) Ostatní učeníci prišli na lodi, lebo neboli ďaleko od brehu, len asi dvesto lakťov, a sieť s rybami ťahali za sebou.
8 (VUL) alii autem discipuli navigio venerunt, non enim longe erant a terra, sed quasi cubitis ducentis, trahentes rete piscium.
8 (UKJV) "And the other disciples came in a little ship; (for they were not far from land, but as it were two hundred cubits,) dragging the net with fishes. "

9 (KAT) Keď vystúpili na breh, videli rozloženú pahrebu a na nej položenú rybu a chlieb.
9 (VUL) Ut ergo descenderunt in terram, vident prunas positas et piscem superpositum et panem.
9 (UKJV) As soon then as they were come to land, they saw a fire of coals there, and fish laid thereon, and bread.

10 (KAT) Ježiš im povedal: „Doneste z rýb, čo ste teraz chytili!“
10 (VUL) Dicit eis Iesus: “ Afferte de piscibus, quos prendidistis nunc ”.
10 (UKJV) Jesus says unto them, Bring of the fish which all of you have now caught.

11 (KAT) Šimon Peter šiel a vytiahol na breh sieť plnú veľkých rýb. Bolo ich stopäťdesiattri. A hoci ich bolo toľko, sieť sa nepretrhla.
11 (VUL) Ascendit ergo Simon Petrus et traxit rete in terram, plenum magnis piscibus centum quinquaginta tribus; et cum tanti essent, non est scissum rete.
11 (UKJV) Simon Peter went up, and drew the net to land full of great fishes, an hundred and fifty and three: and for all there were so many, yet was not the net broken.

12 (KAT) Ježiš im povedal: „Poďte jesť!“ A nik z učeníkov sa ho neodvážil spýtať: „Kto si?“, lebo vedeli, že je to Pán.
12 (VUL) Dicit eis Iesus: “ Venite, prandete ”. Nemo autem audebat discipulorum interrogare eum: “ Tu quis es? ”, scientes quia Dominus est.
12 (UKJV) Jesus says unto them, Come and dine. And none of the disciples durst ask him, Who are you? knowing that it was the Lord.

13 (KAT) Ježiš pristúpil, vzal chlieb a dával im; podobne aj rybu.
13 (VUL) Venit Iesus et accipit panem et dat eis et piscem similiter.
13 (UKJV) Jesus then comes, and takes bread, and gives them, and fish likewise.

14 (KAT) To sa Ježiš učeníkom zjavil už tretí raz od svojho zmŕtvychvstania.
14 (VUL) Hoc iam tertio manifestatus est Iesus discipulis, cum resurrexisset a mortuis.
14 (UKJV) This is now the third time that Jesus showed himself to his disciples, after that he was risen from the dead.

15 (KAT) Keď sa najedli, Ježiš sa opýtal Šimona Petra: „Šimon, syn Jánov, miluješ ma väčšmi ako títo?“ Odpovedal mu: „Áno, Pane, ty vieš, že ťa mám rád.“ Ježiš mu povedal: „Pas moje baránky.“
15 (VUL) Cum ergo prandissent, dicit Simoni Petro Iesus: “ Simon Ioannis, diligis me plus his? ”. Dicit ei: “ Etiam, Domine, tu scis quia amo te ”. Dicit ei: “ Pasce agnos meos ”.
15 (UKJV) "So when they had dined, Jesus says to Simon Peter, Simon, son of Jonas, love you me more than these? He says unto him, Yea, Lord; you know that I love you. He says unto him, Feed my lambs. "

16 (KAT) Opýtal sa ho aj druhý raz: „Šimon, syn Jánov, miluješ ma?“ On mu odpovedal: „Áno, Pane, ty vieš, že ťa mám rád.“ Ježiš mu povedal: „Pas moje ovce!“
16 (VUL) Dicit ei iterum secundo: “ Simon Ioannis, diligis me? ”. Ait illi: “ Etiam, Domine, tu scis quia amo te ”. Dicit ei: “ Pasce oves meas ”.
16 (UKJV) "He says to him again the second time, Simon, son of Jonas, love you me? He says unto him, Yea, Lord; you know that I love you. He says unto him, Feed my sheep. "

17 (KAT) Pýtal sa ho tretí raz: „Šimon, syn Jánov, máš ma rád?“ Petra zarmútilo, že sa ho tretí raz spýtal: „Máš ma rád?“, a povedal mu: „Pane, ty vieš všetko, ty dobre vieš, že ťa mám rád.“ Ježiš mu povedal: „Pas moje ovce!

17 (UKJV) "He says unto him the third time, Simon, son of Jonas, love you me? Peter was grieved because he said unto him the third time, Love you me? And he said unto him, Lord, you know all things; you know that I love you. Jesus says unto him, Feed my sheep. "

18 (KAT) Veru, veru, hovorím ti: Keď si bol mladší, sám si sa opásal a chodil si, kade si chcel. Ale keď zostarneš, vystrieš ruky, iný ťa opáše a povedie, kam nechceš.“
18 (VUL) Amen, amen dico tibi: Cum esses iunior, cingebas teipsum et ambulabas, ubi volebas; cum autem senueris, extendes manus tuas, et alius te cinget et ducet, quo non vis ”.
18 (UKJV) Verily, verily, I say unto you, When you were young, you gird yourself, and walked where you would: but when you shall be old, you shall stretch forth your hands, and another shall gird you, and carry you where you would not.

19 (KAT) To povedal, aby naznačil, akou smrťou oslávi Boha. Ako to povedal, vyzval ho: „Poď za mnou!“
19 (VUL) Hoc autem dixit significans qua morte clarificaturus esset Deum. Et hoc cum dixisset, dicit ei: “ Sequere me ”.
19 (UKJV) This spoke he, signifying by what death he should glorify God. And when he had spoken this, he says unto him, Follow me.

20 (KAT) Peter sa obrátil a videl, že za nimi ide učeník, ktorého Ježiš miloval, ten, čo sa pri večeri naklonil k jeho hrudi a spýtal sa: „Pane, kto ťa to zradí?“
20 (VUL) Conversus Petrus videt illum discipulum, quem diligebat Iesus, sequentem, qui et recubuit in cena super pectus eius et dixit: “ Domine, quis est qui tradit te? ”.
20 (UKJV) "Then Peter, turning about, sees the disciple whom Jesus loved following; which also leaned on his breast at supper, and said, Lord, which is he that betrays you? "

21 (KAT) Keď ho teda Peter zazrel, povedal Ježišovi: „Pane, a čo bude s týmto?“
21 (VUL) Hunc ergo cum vidisset Petrus, dicit Iesu: “ Domine, hic autem quid? ”.

22 (KAT) Ježiš mu odpovedal: „Ak chcem, aby zostal, kým neprídem, čo teba do toho? Ty poď za mnou!“
22 (VUL) Dicit ei Iesus: “ Si eum volo manere donec veniam, quid ad te? Tu me sequere ”.
22 (UKJV) Jesus says unto him, If I will that he tarry till I come, what is that to you? follow you me.

23 (KAT) A tak sa medzi bratmi rozchýrilo, že ten učeník neumrie. No Ježiš mu nepovedal: „Neumrie,“ ale: „Ak chcem, aby zostal, kým neprídem, čo teba do toho?“
23 (VUL) Exivit ergo sermo iste in fratres, quia discipulus ille non moritur. Non autem dixit ei Iesus: “ Non moritur ”, sed: “ Si eum volo manere donec veniam, quid ad te? ”.
23 (UKJV) "Then went this saying (o. logos) abroad among the brethren, that that disciple should not die: yet Jesus said not unto him, He shall not die; but, If I will that he tarry till I come, what is that to you? "

24 (KAT) To je ten učeník, ktorý o týchto veciach vydáva svedectvo a toto napísal. A vieme, že jeho svedectvo je pravdivé.
24 (VUL) Hic est discipulus, qui testimonium perhibet de his et scripsit haec; et scimus quia verum est testimonium eius.
24 (UKJV) This is the disciple which testifies of these things, and wrote these things: and we know that his testimony is true.

25 (KAT) Ale Ježiš urobil ešte veľa iného. Keby sa to všetko malo dopodrobna opísať, myslím, ani na celom svete by nebolo dosť miesta na knihy, ktoré by bolo treba napísať.
25 (VUL) Sunt autem et alia multa, quae fecit Iesus; quae, si scribantur per singula, nec ipsum arbitror mundum capere eos, qui scribendi sunt, libros.
25 (UKJV) And there are also many other things which Jesus did, the which, if they should be written every one, I suppose that even the world itself could not contain the books that should be written. Amen.
