Evanjelium podľa Jána

1 (HEM) ויהי איש חולה לעזר שמו מבית היני כפר מרים ומרתא אחותה׃
1 (UKJV) Now a certain man was sick, named Lazarus, of Bethany, the town of Mary and her sister Martha.

2 (HEM) היא מרים אשר משחה את האדון בשמן המר ותנגב את רגליו בשערותיה ועתה לעזר אחיה חלה׃
2 (UKJV) (It was that Mary which anointed the Lord with ointment, and wiped his feet with her hair, whose brother Lazarus was sick.)

3 (HEM) ותשלחנה אחיותיו אליו לאמר אדני הנה זה אשר אהבת חלה הוא׃
3 (UKJV) Therefore his sisters sent unto him, saying, Lord, behold, he whom you love is sick.

4 (HEM) וישמע ישוע ויאמר זאת המחלה איננה למות כי אם לכבוד האלהים למען יכבד בה בן האלהים׃
4 (UKJV) When Jesus heard that, he said, This sickness is not unto death, but for the glory of God, that the Son of God might be glorified thereby.

5 (HEM) וישוע אהב את מרתא ואת אחותה ואת לעזר׃
5 (UKJV) Now Jesus loved Martha, and her sister, and Lazarus.

6 (HEM) ויהי כשמעו כי חלה ויתמהמה וישב יומים במקום אשר הוא שם׃
6 (UKJV) When he had heard therefore that he was sick, he abode two days still in the same place where he was.

7 (HEM) מאחרי כן אמר לתלמידיו לכו ונשובה לארץ יהודה׃
7 (UKJV) Then after that says he to his disciples, Let us go into Judaea again.

8 (HEM) ויאמרו אליו תלמידיו רבי עתה זה בקשו היהודים לסקלך ואתה תשוב שמה׃
8 (UKJV) "His disciples say unto him, Master, the Jews of late sought to stone you; and go you thither again? "

9 (HEM) ויען ישוע הלא שתים עשרה שעות ליום איש כי ילך ביום לא יכשל כי יראה אור העולם הזה׃
9 (UKJV) Jesus answered, Are there not twelve hours in the day? If any man walk in the day, he stumbles not, because he sees the light of this world.

10 (HEM) אבל ההלך בלילה יכשל כי האור אין בו׃
10 (UKJV) But if a man walk in the night, he stumbles, because there is no light in him.

11 (HEM) כזאת דבר ואחרי כן אמר אליהם לעזר ידידנו ישן הוא ואנכי הלך למען אעירנו׃
11 (UKJV) "These things said he: and after that he says unto them, Our friend Lazarus sleeps; but I go, that I may awake him out of sleep. "

12 (HEM) ויאמרו תלמידיו אדני אם ישן הוא יושע׃
12 (UKJV) Then said his disciples, Lord, if he sleep, he shall do well.

13 (HEM) וישוע דבר על מותו והמה חשבו כי על מנוחת השנה דבר׃
13 (UKJV) Nevertheless Jesus spoke of his death: but they thought that he had spoken of taking of rest in sleep.

14 (HEM) אז גלה ישוע את אזנם ויאמר אליהם לעזר מת׃
14 (UKJV) Then said Jesus unto them plainly, Lazarus is dead.

15 (HEM) ושמח אני בגללכם כי לא הייתי שם למען תאמינו ועתה נסעה ונלכה אליו׃
15 (UKJV) "And I am glad for your sakes that I was not there, to the intent all of you may believe; nevertheless let us go unto him. "

16 (HEM) ויאמר תומא הנקרא דידומוס אל התלמידים חבריו נלכה גם אנחנו למען נמות עמו׃
16 (UKJV) Then said Thomas, which is called Didymus, unto his fellow disciples, Let us also go, that we may die with him.

17 (HEM) ויבא ישוע וימצאהו זה ארבעה ימים שכב בקבר׃
17 (UKJV) Then when Jesus came, he found that he had lain in the grave four days already.

18 (HEM) ובית היני היה קרוב לירושלים כדרך חמש עשרה ריס׃
18 (UKJV) Now Bethany was nigh unto Jerusalem, about fifteen furlongs off:

19 (HEM) ורבים מן היהודים באו בית מרתא ומרים לנחם אתהן על אחיהן׃
19 (UKJV) And many of the Jews came to Martha and Mary, to comfort them concerning their brother.

20 (HEM) ויהי כשמע מרתא כי ישוע בא ותצא לקרתו ומרים יושבת בבית׃
20 (UKJV) Then Martha, as soon as she heard that Jesus was coming, went and met him: but Mary sat still in the house.

21 (HEM) ותאמר מרתא אל ישוע אדני אלו היית פה כי אז לא מת אחי׃
21 (UKJV) Then said Martha unto Jesus, Lord, if you had been here, my brother had not died.

22 (HEM) וגם עתה ידעתי כי כל אשר תשאל מאת אלהים יתן לך אלהים׃
22 (UKJV) But I know, that even now, whatsoever you will ask of God, God will give it you.

23 (HEM) ויאמר אליה ישוע קום יקום אחיך׃
23 (UKJV) Jesus says unto her, Your brother shall rise again.

24 (HEM) ותאמר אליו מרתא ידעתי כי יקום בתקומה ביום האחרון׃
24 (UKJV) Martha says unto him, I know that he shall rise again in the resurrection at the last day.

25 (HEM) ויאמר אליה ישוע אנכי התקומה והחיים המאמין בי יחיה גם כי ימות׃
25 (UKJV) Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believes in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live:

26 (HEM) וכל החי אשר יאמין בי לא ימות לעולם התאמיני זאת׃
26 (UKJV) And whosoever lives and believes in me shall never die. Believe you this?

27 (HEM) ותאמר אליו כן אדני האמנתי כי אתה המשיח בן האלהים הבא לעולם׃
27 (UKJV) She says unto him, Yea, Lord: I believe that you are the Christ, the Son of God, which should come into the world.

28 (HEM) ויהי אחר דברה זאת ותלך ותקרא למרים אחותה בסתר לאמר הנה המורה פה וקרא לך׃
28 (UKJV) And when she had so said, she went her way, and called Mary her sister secretly, saying, The Master has come, and calls for you.

29 (HEM) היא שמעה ותמהר לקום ותבא אליו׃
29 (UKJV) As soon as she heard that, she arose quickly, and came unto him.

30 (HEM) וישוע טרם יבא אל הכפר כי עודנו עמד במקום אשר פגשתו שם מרתא׃
30 (UKJV) Now Jesus was not yet come into the town, but was in that place where Martha met him.

31 (HEM) והיהודים אשר באו אל ביתה לנחמה כראותם את מרים כי קמה פתאם ותצא הלכו אחריה באמרם כי הלכה לה אל הקבר לבכות שמה׃
31 (UKJV) The Jews then which were with her in the house, and comforted her, when they saw Mary, that she rose up hastily and went out, followed her, saying, She goes unto the grave to weep there.

32 (HEM) ותבא מרים אל המקום אשר ישוע עמד שם ותרא אתו ותפל לרגליו ותאמר לו אדני אלו היית פה כי אז לא מת אחי׃
32 (UKJV) Then when Mary was come where Jesus was, and saw him, she fell down at his feet, saying unto him, Lord, if you had been here, my brother had not died.

33 (HEM) ויהי כראות ישוע אתה בכיה וגם היהודים אשר באו אתה בכים ותזעם רוחו ויהי מרעיד׃
33 (UKJV) When Jesus therefore saw her weeping, and the Jews also weeping which came with her, he groaned in the spirit, (o. pneuma) and was troubled.

34 (HEM) ויאמר איפה שמתם אתו ויאמרו אליו אדני בא וראה׃
34 (UKJV) And said, Where have all of you laid him? They said unto him, Lord, come and see.

35 (HEM) ויבך ישוע׃
35 (UKJV) Jesus wept.

36 (HEM) ויאמרו היהודים הנה מה גדלה אהבתו אתו׃
36 (UKJV) Then said the Jews, Behold how he loved him!

37 (HEM) ומקצתם אמרו הפקח עיני העור הלא יכל לעשות שגם זה לא ימות׃
37 (UKJV) And some of them said, Could not this man, which opened the eyes of the blind, have caused that even this man should not have died?

38 (HEM) ויוסף עוד ישוע להזעם ברוחו ויבא אל הקבר והוא מערה ואבן על מבואה׃
38 (UKJV) Jesus therefore again groaning in himself comes to the grave. It was a cave, and a stone lay upon it.

39 (HEM) ויאמר ישוע שאו את האבן מעליה ותאמר אליו מרתא אחות המת אדני הנה כבר באש כי ארבעה ימים לו׃
39 (UKJV) Jesus said, Take all of you away the stone. Martha, the sister of him that was dead, says unto him, Lord, by this time he stinks: for he has been dead four days.

40 (HEM) ויאמר אליה ישוע הלא אמרתי לך כי אם תאמיני תחזי את כבוד האלהים׃
40 (UKJV) Jesus says unto her, Said I not unto you, that, if you would believe, you should see the glory of God?

41 (HEM) וישאו את האבן אשר המת הושם שם וישוע נשא את עיניו למרום ויאמר אודך אבי כי עניתני׃
41 (UKJV) Then they took away the stone from the place where the dead was laid. And Jesus lifted up his eyes, and said, Father, I thank you that you have heard me.

42 (HEM) ואני ידעתי כי בכל עת תענני אולם בעבור העם הזה אשר סביבותי דברתי למען יאמינו בי כי אתה שלחתני׃
42 (UKJV) And I knew that you hear me always: but because of the people which stand by I said it, that they may believe that you have sent me.

43 (HEM) ויהי ככלותו לדבר ויקרא בקול גדול לעזר קום צא׃
43 (UKJV) And when he thus had spoken, he cried with a loud voice, Lazarus, come forth.

44 (HEM) ויצא המת וידיו ורגליו כרוכת בתכריכין ופיו לוטים בסודר ויאמר אליהם ישוע התירו אתו וילך לדרכו׃
44 (UKJV) And he that was dead came forth, bound hand and foot with grave clothes: and his face was bound about with a cloth. Jesus says unto them, Loose him, and let him go.

45 (HEM) ורבים מן היהודים אשר באו אל מרים בראותם את אשר עשה ישוע האמינו בו׃
45 (UKJV) Then many of the Jews which came to Mary, and had seen the things which Jesus did, believed on him.

46 (HEM) ומקצתם הלכו אל הפרושים ויגידו להם את אשר עשה ישוע׃
46 (UKJV) But some of them went their ways to the Pharisees, and told them what things Jesus had done.

47 (HEM) אז יקהילו הכהנים הגדולים והפרושים את הסנהדרין ויאמרו מה נעשה כי האיש הלזה עשה אתות הרבה׃
47 (UKJV) Then gathered the chief priests and the Pharisees a council, and said, What do we? for this man does many miracles.

48 (HEM) אם נניח לו לעשות כלם יאמינו בו ובאו הרומיים ולקחו גם את אדמתנו וגם את עמנו׃
48 (UKJV) If we let him thus alone, all men will believe on him: and the Romans shall come and take away both our place and nation.

49 (HEM) ואחד מהם קיפא שמו והוא כהן גדול בשנה ההיא אמר אליהם הן לא תדעו מאומה׃
49 (UKJV) And one of them, named Caiaphas, being the high priest that same year, said unto them, All of you know nothing at all,

50 (HEM) אף לא תתבוננו כי טוב לנו מות איש אחד בעד הגוי מאבד העם כלו׃
50 (UKJV) Nor consider that it is expedient for us, that one man should die for the people, and that the whole nation perish not.

51 (HEM) וזאת לא דבר מלבו כי אם בהיותו כהן גדול בשנה ההיא נבא כי ישוע ימות בעד העם׃
51 (UKJV) "And this spoke he not of himself: but being high priest that year, he prophesied that Jesus should die for that nation; "

52 (HEM) ולא בעד העם לבד כי אם לקבץ גם את בני אלהים המפזרים והיו לאחדים׃
52 (UKJV) And not for that nation only, but that also he should gather together in one the children of God that were scattered abroad.

53 (HEM) ויועצו יחדו להמיתו מהיום ההוא והלאה׃
53 (UKJV) Then from that day forth they took counsel together in order to put him to death.

54 (HEM) על כן לא התהלך ישוע עוד בתוך היהודים בגלוי כי אם סר משם לארץ הקרובה אל המדבר אל עיר עפרים ויגר שם עם תלמידיו׃
54 (UKJV) "Jesus therefore walked no more openly among the Jews; but went thence unto a country near to the wilderness, into a city called Ephraim, and there continued with his disciples. "

55 (HEM) ויקרבו ימי הפסח ליהודים ועם רב עלו מן הארץ ירושלימה לפני הפסח למען יטהרו׃
55 (UKJV) And the Jews' passover was nigh at hand: and many went out of the country up to Jerusalem before the passover, to purify themselves.

56 (HEM) ויבקשו את ישוע ובעמדם בבית המקדש נדברו לאמר מה תחשבו הכי לא יבוא אל החג׃
56 (UKJV) Then sought they for Jesus, and spoke among themselves, as they stood in the temple, What think all of you, that he will not come to the feast?

57 (HEM) והכהנים הגדולים והפרושים גזרו גזרה אשר אם ידע איש את מקומו יודיענו למען יתפשהו׃
57 (UKJV) Now both the chief priests and the Pharisees had given a commandment, that, if any man knew where he were, he should show it, that they might take him.
