Evanjelium podľa Lukáša

1 (KAT) Keď skončil všetky svoje slová ľudu, ktorý ho počúval, vošiel do Kafarnauma.
1 (VUL) Cum autem implesset omnia verba sua in aures plebis, intra vit Capharnaum.
1 (UKJV) Now when he had ended all his sayings (o. rhema) in the audience of the people, he entered into Capernaum.

2 (KAT) Tam mal istý stotník sluhu, ktorého si veľmi cenil, a ten bol na smrť chorý.
2 (VUL) Centurionis autem cuiusdam servus male habens erat moriturus, qui illi erat pretiosus.
2 (UKJV) And a certain centurion's servant, who was dear unto him, was sick, and ready to die.

3 (KAT) Keď sa stotník dopočul o Ježišovi, poslal k nemu židovských starších s prosbou, aby prišiel a sluhu mu zachránil.
3 (VUL) Et cum audisset de Iesu, misit ad eum seniores Iudaeorum rogans eum, ut veniret et salvaret servum eius.
3 (UKJV) And when he heard of Jesus, he sent unto him the elders of the Jews, beseeching him that he would come and heal his servant.

4 (KAT) Oni prišli k Ježišovi a naliehavo ho prosili: „Zaslúži si, aby si mu to urobil,
4 (VUL) At illi cum venissent ad Iesum, rogabant eum sollicite dicentes: “ Dignus est, ut hoc illi praestes:
4 (UKJV) And when they came to Jesus, they besought him instantly, saying, That he was worthy for whom he should do this:

5 (KAT) lebo miluje náš národ; aj synagógu nám postavil.“
5 (VUL) diligit enim gentem nostram et synagogam ipse aedificavit nobis ”.
5 (UKJV) For he loves our nation, and he has built us a synagogue.

6 (KAT) Ježiš teda išiel s nimi. A keď už nebol ďaleko od domu, stotník poslal k nemu priateľov s odkazom: „Pane, neunúvaj sa, lebo nie som hoden, aby si vošiel pod moju strechu.
6 (VUL) Iesus autem ibat cum illis. At cum iam non longe esset a domo, misit centurio amicos dicens ei: “ Domine, noli vexari; non enim dignus sum, ut sub tectum meum intres,
6 (UKJV) Then Jesus went with them. And when he was now not far from the house, the centurion sent friends to him, saying unto him, Lord, trouble not yourself: for I am not worthy that you should enter under my roof:

7 (KAT) Preto som sa ani nepokladal za hodného ísť k tebe. Ale povedz slovo a môj sluha ozdravie!
7 (VUL) propter quod et meipsum non sum dignum arbitratus, ut venirem ad te; sed dic verbo, et sanetur puer meus.
7 (UKJV) Wherefore neither thought I myself worthy to come unto you: but say in a word, (o. logos) and my servant shall be healed.

8 (KAT) Veď aj ja som človek podriadený vrchnosti a mám pod sebou vojakov. Ak daktorému poviem: »Choď!« - ide; inému: »Poď sem!« - tak príde; a svojmu sluhovi: »Urob toto!« - on to urobí.“
8 (VUL) Nam et ego homo sum sub potestate constitutus, habens sub me milites, et dico huic: “Vade”, et vadit; et alii: “Veni”, et venit; et servo meo: “Fac hoc”, et facit ”.
8 (UKJV) "For I also am a man set under authority, having under me soldiers, and I say unto one, Go, and he goes; and to another, Come, and he comes; and to my servant, Do this, and he does it. "

9 (KAT) Keď to Ježiš počul, zadivil sa mu, obrátil sa a zástupom, čo ho sprevádzali, povedal: „Hovorím vám: Takú vieru som nenašiel ani v Izraeli!“

10 (VUL) Et reversi, qui missi fuerant, domum, invenerunt servum sanum.
10 (UKJV) And they that were sent, returning to the house, found the servant whole that had been sick.

11 (KAT) Potom išiel do mesta, ktoré sa volá Naim. Išli s ním jeho učeníci a veľký zástup ľudu.
11 (VUL) Et factum est, deinceps ivit in civitatem, quae vocatur Naim, et ibant cum illo discipuli eius et turba copiosa.
11 (UKJV) "And it came to pass the day after, that he went into a city called Nain; and many of his disciples went with him, and much people. "

12 (KAT) Keď sa priblížil k mestskej bráne, práve vynášali mŕtveho. Bol to jediný syn matky a tá bola vdova. Sprevádzal ju veľký zástup z mesta.
12 (VUL) Cum autem appropinquaret portae civitatis, et ecce defunctus efferebatur filius unicus matri suae; et haec vidua erat, et turba civitatis multa cum illa.
12 (UKJV) Now when he came nigh to the gate of the city, behold, there was a dead man carried out, the only son of his mother, and she was a widow: and much people of the city was with her.

13 (KAT) Keď ju Pán uvidel, bolo mu jej ľúto a povedal jej: „Neplač!“
13 (VUL) Quam cum vidisset Dominus, misericordia motus super ea dixit illi: “ Noli flere! ”.
13 (UKJV) And when the Lord saw her, he had compassion on her, and said unto her, Weep not.

14 (KAT) Potom pristúpil a dotkol sa már. Nosiči zastali a on povedal: „Mládenec, hovorím ti, vstaň!“
14 (VUL) Et accessit et tetigit loculum; hi autem, qui portabant, steterunt. Et ait: “ Adulescens, tibi dico: Surge! ”.
14 (UKJV) And he came and touched the bier: and they that bare him stood still. And he said, Young man, I say unto you, Arise.

15 (VUL) Et resedit, qui erat mortuus, et coepit loqui; et dedit illum matri suae.
15 (UKJV) And he that was dead sat up, and began to speak. And he delivered him to his mother.

16 (KAT) Tu sa všetkých zmocnil strach, velebili Boha a hovorili: „Veľký prorok povstal medzi nami“ a: „Boh navštívil svoj ľud.“
16 (VUL) Accepit autem omnes timor, et magnificabant Deum dicentes: “ Propheta magnus surrexit in nobis ” et: “ Deus visitavit plebem suam ”.
16 (UKJV) "And there came a fear on all: and they glorified God, saying, That a great prophet has risen up among us; and, That God has visited his people. "

17 (KAT) A táto zvesť o ňom sa rozšírila po celej Judei a po celom okolí.
17 (VUL) Et exiit hic sermo in universam Iudaeam de eo et omnem circa regionem.
17 (UKJV) And this rumour (o. logos) of him went forth throughout all Judaea, and throughout all the region round about.

18 (KAT) O tom všetkom priniesli Jánovi zvesť jeho učeníci.
18 (VUL) Et nuntiaverunt Ioanni discipuli eius de omnibus his.
18 (UKJV) And the disciples of John showed him of all these things.

19 (KAT) Ján si zavolal dvoch svojich učeníkov a poslal ich k Pánovi s otázkou: „Ty si ten, ktorý má prísť, alebo máme čakať iného?“
19 (VUL) Et convocavit duos de discipulis suis Ioannes et misit ad Dominum dicens: “ Tu es qui venturus es, an alium exspectamus? ”.
19 (UKJV) And John calling unto him two of his disciples sent them to Jesus, saying, Are you he that should come? or look we for another?

20 (KAT) Keď muži k nemu prišli, povedali: „Poslal nás k tebe Ján Krstiteľ a pýta sa: »Ty si ten, ktorý má prísť, alebo máme čakať iného?«“
20 (VUL) Cum autem venissent ad eum viri, dixerunt: “ Ioannes Baptista misit nos ad te dicens: “Tu es qui venturus es, an alium exspectamus?” ”.
20 (UKJV) When the men were come unto him, they said, John Baptist has sent us unto you, saying, Are you he that should come? or look we for another?

21 (VUL) In ipsa hora curavit multos a languoribus et plagis et spiritibus malis et caecis multis donavit visum.
21 (UKJV) "And in that same hour he cured many of their infirmities and plagues, and of evil spirits; (o. pneuma) and unto many that were blind he gave sight. "

22 (KAT) A tak im odpovedal: „Choďte a oznámte Jánovi, čo ste videli a počuli. Slepí vidia, chromí chodia, malomocní sú čistí, hluchí počujú, mŕtvi vstávajú a chudobným sa hlása evanjelium.
22 (VUL) Et respondens dixit illis: “ Euntes nuntiate Ioanni, quae vidistis et audistis: caeci vident, claudi ambulant, leprosi mundantur et surdi audiunt, mortui resurgunt, pauperes evangelizantur;
22 (UKJV) "Then Jesus answering said unto them, Go your way, and tell John what things all of you have seen and heard; how that the blind see, the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed, the deaf hear, the dead are raised, to the poor the gospel is preached. "

23 (KAT) A blahoslavený je, kto sa na mne nepohorší.“
23 (VUL) et beatus est, quicumque non fuerit scandalizatus in me ”.
23 (UKJV) And blessed is he, whosoever shall not be offended in me.

24 (KAT) Keď Jánovi poslovia odišli, začal hovoriť zástupom o Jánovi: „Čo ste vyšli na púšť vidieť? Trstinu zmietanú vetrom?
24 (VUL) Et cum discessissent nuntii Ioannis, coepit dicere de Ioanne ad turbas: “ Quid existis in desertum videre? Arundinem vento moveri?
24 (UKJV) And when the messengers of John were departed, he began to speak unto the people concerning John, What went all of you out into the wilderness in order to see? A reed shaken with the wind?

25 (KAT) Alebo čo ste vyšli vidieť? Človeka oblečeného do jemných šiat? Veď tí, čo sa skvostne obliekajú a žijú v rozkošiach, bývajú v kráľovských domoch.
25 (VUL) Sed quid existis videre? Hominem mollibus vestimentis indutum? Ecce, qui in veste pretiosa sunt et deliciis, in domibus regum sunt.
25 (UKJV) But what went all of you out in order to see? A man clothed in soft raiment? Behold, they which are gorgeously apparelled, and live delicately, are in kings' courts.

26 (KAT) Teda čo ste vyšli vidieť? Proroka? Áno, hovorím vám, viac ako proroka.
26 (VUL) Sed quid existis videre? Prophetam? Utique, dico vobis, et plus quam prophetam.
26 (UKJV) But what went all of you out in order to see? A prophet? Yea, I say unto you, and much more than a prophet.

27 (KAT) Lebo to o ňom je napísané: »Hľa, posielam svojho posla pred tvojou tvárou a on pripraví cestu pred tebou.«
27 (VUL) Hic est, de quo scriptum est: “Ecce mitto angelum meum ante faciem tuam, qui praeparabit viam tuam ante te”.
27 (UKJV) This is he, of whom it is written, Behold, I send my messenger before your face, which shall prepare your way before you.

28 (KAT) Hovorím vám: Medzi tými, čo sa narodili zo ženy, nie je nik väčší ako Ján. Ale ten, kto je v Božom kráľovstve menší, je väčší ako on.“
28 (VUL) Dico vobis: Maior inter natos mulierum Ioanne nemo est; qui autem minor est in regno Dei, maior est illo.
28 (UKJV) For I say unto you, Among those that are born of women there is not a greater prophet than John the Baptist: but he that is least in the kingdom of God is greater than he.

29 (KAT) A všetok ľud, čo ho počúval, ba aj mýtnici uznali Božiu spravodlivosť, keď sa dali pokrstiť Jánovým krstom.
29 (VUL) Et omnis populus audiens et publicani iustificaverunt Deum, baptizati baptismo Ioannis;
29 (UKJV) And all the people that heard him, and the publicans, justified God, being baptized with the baptism of John.

30 (KAT) Ale farizeji a zákonníci zmarili v sebe Boží úmysel, lebo sa mu nedali pokrstiť.
30 (VUL) pharisaei autem et legis periti consilium Dei spreverunt in semetipsos, non baptizati ab eo.
30 (UKJV) But the Pharisees and lawyers rejected the counsel of God against themselves, being not baptized of him.

31 (KAT) „Komuže prirovnám ľudí tohto pokolenia? Komu sú podobní?
31 (VUL) Cui ergo similes dicam homines generationis huius, et cui similes sunt?
31 (UKJV) And the Lord said, Unto which then shall I liken the men of this generation? and to what are they like?

32 (KAT) Podobajú sa deťom, čo vysedávajú na námestí a pokrikujú jedno na druhé: »Pískali sme vám, a netancovali ste; nariekali sme, a neplakali ste.«
32 (VUL) Similes sunt pueris sedentibus in foro et loquentibus ad invicem, quod dicit: “Cantavimus vobis tibiis, et non saltastis; lamentavimus, et non plorastis!”.
32 (UKJV) "They are like unto children sitting in the marketplace, and calling one to another, and saying, We have piped unto you, and all of you have not danced; we have mourned to you, and all of you have not wept. "

33 (KAT) Prišiel Ján Krstiteľ, nejedol chlieb a nepil víno, a hovoríte: »Je posadnutý zlým duchom.«
33 (VUL) Venit enim Ioannes Baptista neque manducans panem neque bibens vinum, et dicitis: “Daemonium habet!”;

34 (KAT) Prišiel Syn človeka, je a pije, a hovoríte: »Hľa, pažravec a pijan, priateľ mýtnikov a hriešnikov!«
34 (VUL) venit Filius hominis manducans et bibens, et dicitis: “Ecce homo devorator et bibens vinum, amicus publicanorum et peccatorum!”.
34 (UKJV) "The Son of man has come eating and drinking; and all of you say, Behold a gluttonous man, and a wine indulger, a friend of publicans and sinners! "

35 (KAT) No múdrosť ospravedlňujú všetky jej deti.“
35 (VUL) Et iustificata est sapientia ab omnibus filiis suis ”.
35 (UKJV) But wisdom is justified of all her children.

36 (KAT) Ktorýsi farizej ho pozval, aby s ním jedol. On vošiel do farizejovho domu a sadol si k stolu.
36 (VUL) Rogabat autem illum quidam de pharisaeis, ut manducaret cum illo; et ingressus domum pharisaei discubuit.
36 (UKJV) And one of the Pharisees desired him that he would eat with him. And he went into the Pharisee's house, and sat down to food.

37 (KAT) V meste bola istá žena, hriešnica. Keď sa dozvedela, že je hosťom vo farizejovom dome, priniesla alabastrovú nádobu s voňavým olejom,
37 (VUL) Et ecce mulier, quae erat in civitate peccatrix, ut cognovit quod accubuit in domo pharisaei, attulit alabastrum unguenti;
37 (UKJV) And, behold, a woman in the city, which was a sinner, when she knew that Jesus sat at food in the Pharisee's house, brought an alabaster box of ointment,

38 (KAT) s plačom pristúpila zozadu k jeho nohám, začala mu slzami máčať nohy a utierala mu ich svojimi vlasmi, bozkávala mu ich a natierala voňavým olejom.
38 (VUL) et stans retro secus pedes eius flens lacrimis coepit rigare pedes eius et capillis capitis sui tergebat, et osculabatur pedes eius et unguento ungebat.
38 (UKJV) And stood at his feet behind him weeping, and began to wash his feet with tears, and did wipe them with the hairs of her head, and kissed his feet, and anointed them with the ointment.

39 (KAT) Keď to videl farizej, ktorý ho pozval, povedal si v duchu: „Keby tento bol prorokom, vedel by, kto a aká je to žena, čo sa ho dotýka, že je to hriešnica.“
39 (VUL) Videns autem pharisaeus, qui vocaverat eum, ait intra se dicens: “ Hic si esset propheta, sciret utique quae et qualis mulier, quae tangit eum, quia peccatrix est ”.
39 (UKJV) Now when the Pharisee which had bidden him saw it, he spoke within himself, saying, This man, if he were a prophet, would have known who and what manner of woman this is that touches him: for she is a sinner.

40 (KAT) Ježiš mu vravel: „Šimon, mám ti niečo povedať.“ On odvetil: „Povedz, Učiteľ!“
40 (VUL) Et respondens Iesus dixit ad illum: “ Simon, habeo tibi aliquid dicere ”. At ille ait: “ Magister, dic ”.
40 (UKJV) And Jesus answering said unto him, Simon, I have somewhat to say unto you. And he says, Master, say on.

41 (KAT) „Istý veriteľ mal dvoch dlžníkov. Jeden dlhoval päťsto denárov, druhý päťdesiat.
41 (VUL) “ Duo debitores erant cuidam feneratori: unus debebat denarios quingentos, alius quinquaginta.
41 (UKJV) There was a certain creditor which had two debtors: the one owed five hundred pence, and the other fifty.

42 (KAT) Keďže nemali skadiaľ dlžobu splatiť, odpustil ju obidvom. Ktorý z nich ho bude mať radšej?“
42 (VUL) Non habentibus illis, unde redderent, donavit utrisque. Quis ergo eorum plus diliget eum? ”.
42 (UKJV) And when they had nothing to pay, he frankly forgave them both. Tell me therefore, which of them will love him most?

43 (KAT) Šimon odpovedal: „Myslím, že ten, ktorému viac odpustil.“ On mu povedal: „Správne usudzuješ.“
43 (VUL) Respondens Simon dixit: “ Aestimo quia is, cui plus donavit ”. At ille dixit ei: “ Recte iudicasti ”.
43 (UKJV) Simon answered and said, I suppose that he, to whom he forgave most. And he said unto him, You have rightly judged.

44 (KAT) Potom sa obrátil k žene a Šimonovi povedal: „Vidíš túto ženu? Vošiel som do tvojho domu a nedal si mi vodu na nohy. Ale ona slzami zmáčala moje nohy a svojimi vlasmi ich poutierala.
44 (VUL) Et conversus ad mulierem, dixit Simoni: “ Vides hanc mulierem? Intravi in domum tuam: aquam pedibus meis non dedisti; haec autem lacrimis rigavit pedes meos et capillis suis tersit.
44 (UKJV) And he turned to the woman, and said unto Simon, See you this woman? I entered into your house, you gave me no water for my feet: but she has washed my feet with tears, and wiped them with the hairs of her head.

45 (KAT) Nepobozkal si ma. Ale ona odvtedy, ako som vošiel, neprestala mi nohy bozkávať.
45 (VUL) Osculum mihi non dedisti; haec autem, ex quo intravi, non cessavit osculari pedes meos.
45 (UKJV) You gave me no kiss: but this woman since the time I came in has not ceased to kiss my feet.

46 (KAT) Hlavu si mi olejom nepomazal. Ona mi voňavým olejom nohy natrela.
46 (VUL) Oleo caput meum non unxisti; haec autem unguento unxit pedes meos.
46 (UKJV) My head with oil you did not anoint: but this woman has anointed my feet with ointment.

47 (KAT) Preto ti hovorím: Odpúšťajú sa jej mnohé hriechy, lebo veľmi miluje. Komu sa menej odpúšťa, menej miluje.“
47 (VUL) Propter quod dico tibi: Remissa sunt peccata eius multa, quoniam dilexit multum; cui autem minus dimittitur, minus diligit ”.
47 (UKJV) "Wherefore I say unto you, Her sins, which are many, are forgiven; for she loved much: but to whom little is forgiven, the same loves little. "

48 (KAT) A jej povedal: „Tvoje hriechy sú odpustené.“
48 (VUL) Dixit autem ad illam: “ Remissa sunt peccata tua ”.
48 (UKJV) And he said unto her, Your sins are forgiven.

49 (KAT) Vtedy tí, čo s ním stolovali, začali si hovoriť: „Ktože je to, že aj hriechy odpúšťa?“
