1 (B21) Patnáctého roku vlády císaře Tiberia, když Pontius Pilát spravoval Judeu a Herodes byl tetrarchou Galileje, jeho bratr Filip tetrarchou na území Itureje a Trachonitidy a Lysaniáš tetrarchou Abilény,
2 (KJV) Annas and Caiaphas being the high priests, the word of God came unto John the son of Zacharias in the wilderness.
2 (SVD) في ايام رئيس الكهنة حنان وقيافا كانت كلمة الله على يوحنا بن زكريا في البرية.
2 (B21) za velekněze Annáše a Kaifáše, dostal Jan, syn Zachariášův, na poušti Boží slovo.
3 (KJV) And he came into all the country about Jordan, preaching the baptism of repentance for the remission of sins;
3 (SVD) فجاء الى جميع الكورة المحيطة بالاردن يكرز بمعمودية التوبة لمغفرة الخطايا.
3 (B21) Procházel pak celým krajem kolem Jordánu a kázal křest pokání na odpuštění hříchů,
4 (KJV) As it is written in the book of the words of Esaias the prophet, saying, The voice of one crying in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of the Lord, make his paths straight.
4 (SVD) كما هو مكتوب في سفر اقوال اشعياء النبي القائل صوت صارخ في البرية أعدّوا طريق الرب اصنعوا سبله مستقيمة.
4 (B21) jak je to popsáno v knize výroků proroka Izaiáše: "Hlas volajícího na poušti: Připravte Pánovu cestu! Napřimujte jeho stezky!
5 (KJV) Every valley shall be filled, and every mountain and hill shall be brought low; and the crooked shall be made straight, and the rough ways shall be made smooth;
5 (SVD) كل واد يمتلئ وكل جبل واكمة ينخفض وتصير المعوجات مستقيمة والشعاب طرقا سهلة.
5 (B21) Každé údolí bude vyplněno a každá hora a pahorek budou sníženy. Křivé věci budou přímé, hrbolaté cesty budou hladké
6 (KJV) And all flesh shall see the salvation of God.
6 (SVD) ويبصر كل بشر خلاص الله
6 (B21) a veškeré lidstvo uvidí Boží spasení."
7 (KJV) Then said he to the multitude that came forth to be baptized of him, O generation of vipers, who hath warned you to flee from the wrath to come?
7 (SVD) وكان يقول للجموع الذين خرجوا ليعتمدوا منه يا اولاد الافاعي من اراكم ان تهربوا من الغضب الآتي.
7 (B21) Zástupům lidí, kteří se k němu hrnuli, aby se dali pokřtít, říkal: "Plemeno zmijí! Kdo vám ukázal, jak utéci před přicházejícím hněvem?
8 (KJV) Bring forth therefore fruits worthy of repentance, and begin not to say within yourselves, We have Abraham to our father: for I say unto you, That God is able of these stones to raise up children unto Abraham.
8 (SVD) فاصنعوا اثمارا تليق بالتوبة. ولا تبتدئوا تقولون في انفسكم لنا ابراهيم ابا. لاني اقول لكم ان الله قادر ان يقيم من هذه الحجارة اولادا لابراهيم.
8 (B21) Raději neste ovoce odpovídající vašemu pokání, než abyste říkali: ‚Máme otce Abrahama.' Říkám vám, že Bůh může Abrahamovi vzbudit potomky z tohoto kamení!
9 (KJV) And now also the axe is laid unto the root of the trees: every tree therefore which bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire.
9 (SVD) والآن قد وضعت الفاس على اصل الشجر. فكل شجرة لا تصنع ثمرا جيدا تقطع وتلقى في النار.
9 (B21) Ke kořeni stromů už dopadá sekera. Každý strom, který nenese dobré ovoce, bude poražen a vhozen do ohně!"
10 (KJV) And the people asked him, saying, What shall we do then?
10 (SVD) وسأله الجموع قائلين فماذا نفعل.
10 (B21) "Co máme dělat?" ptaly se ho zástupy.
11 (KJV) He answereth and saith unto them, He that hath two coats, let him impart to him that hath none; and he that hath meat, let him do likewise.
11 (SVD) فاجاب وقال لهم من له ثوبان فليعط من ليس له ومن له طعام فليفعل هكذا.
11 (B21) "Kdo má dvě košile, ať se rozdělí s tím, kdo nemá žádnou," odpověděl jim, "a kdo má jídlo, ať udělá totéž."
12 (KJV) Then came also publicans to be baptized, and said unto him, Master, what shall we do?
12 (SVD) وجاء عشارون ايضا ليعتمدوا فقالوا له يا معلّم ماذا نفعل.
12 (B21) Dokonce i výběrčí daní se přicházeli nechat pokřtít. "Mistře," ptali se ho, "co máme dělat?"
13 (KJV) And he said unto them, Exact no more than that which is appointed you.
13 (SVD) فقال لهم لا تستوفوا اكثر مما فرض لكم.
13 (B21) "Nevybírejte víc, než máte nařízeno," odpověděl jim.
14 (KJV) And the soldiers likewise demanded of him, saying, And what shall we do? And he said unto them, Do violence to no man, neither accuse any falsely; and be content with your wages.
14 (SVD) وسأله جنديون ايضا قائلين وماذا نفعل نحن. فقال لهم لا تظلموا احدا ولا تشوا باحد واكتفوا بعلائفكم
14 (B21) "A co máme dělat my?" ptali se vojáci. "Nikoho nezastrašujte ani nevydírejte," odpověděl jim. "Spokojte se se svým žoldem."
15 (KJV) And as the people were in expectation, and all men mused in their hearts of John, whether he were the Christ, or not;
15 (SVD) واذ كان الشعب ينتظر والجميع يفكرون في قلوبهم عن يوحنا لعله المسيح
15 (B21) Lid byl plný očekávání a všichni si o Janovi v srdci říkali, jestli to snad není Mesiáš.
16 (KJV) John answered, saying unto them all, I indeed baptize you with water; but one mightier than I cometh, the latchet of whose shoes I am not worthy to unloose: he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost and with fire:
16 (SVD) اجاب يوحنا الجميع قائلا انا اعمدكم بماء ولكن يأتي من هو اقوى مني الذي لست اهلا ان احل سيور حذائه. هو سيعمدكم بالروح القدس ونار.
16 (B21) Jan ale dal všem tuto odpověď: "Jistě, já vás křtím vodou, ale přichází někdo silnější než já. Jemu nejsem hoden ani rozvázat řemínek sandálu. On vás bude křtít Duchem svatým a ohněm.
17 (KJV) Whose fan is in his hand, and he will throughly purge his floor, and will gather the wheat into his garner; but the chaff he will burn with fire unquenchable.
17 (SVD) الذي رفشه في يده وسينقي بيدره ويجمع القمح الى مخزنه. واما التبن فيحرقه بنار لا تطفأ.
17 (B21) Už drží v ruce lopatu, aby pročistil svůj mlat. Pšenici shromáždí do své obilnice, ale plevy spálí neuhasitelným ohněm."
18 (KJV) And many other things in his exhortation preached he unto the people.
18 (SVD) وباشياء أخر كثيرة كان يعظ الشعب ويبشرهم.
18 (B21) Takto i mnoha jinými slovy napomínal lid a ohlašoval radostnou zprávu.
19 (KJV) But Herod the tetrarch, being reproved by him for Herodias his brother Philip's wife, and for all the evils which Herod had done,
19 (SVD) اما هيرودس رئيس الربع فاذ توبخ منه لسبب هيروديا امرأة فيلبّس اخيه ولسبب جميع الشرور التي كان هيرودس يفعلها
19 (B21) Když ale káral tetrarchu Heroda za jeho sňatek s Herodiadou, manželkou jeho bratra, a za všechno zlo, které napáchal,
20 (KJV) Added yet this above all, that he shut up John in prison.
20 (SVD) زاد هذا ايضا على الجميع انه حبس يوحنا في السجن
20 (B21) Herodes k tomu všemu přidal ještě to, že Jana vsadil do vězení.
21 (KJV) Now when all the people were baptized, it came to pass, that Jesus also being baptized, and praying, the heaven was opened,
21 (SVD) ولما اعتمد جميع الشعب اعتمد يسوع ايضا. واذ كان يصلّي انفتحت السماء
21 (B21) Zatímco se křtil všechen lid, byl pokřtěn i Ježíš. Když se modlil, otevřelo se nebe
22 (KJV) And the Holy Ghost descended in a bodily shape like a dove upon him, and a voice came from heaven, which said, Thou art my beloved Son; in thee I am well pleased.
22 (SVD) ونزل عليه الروح القدس بهيئة جسمية مثل حمامة وكان صوت من السماء قائلا انت ابني الحبيب بك سررت
22 (B21) a Duch svatý na něj sestoupil v tělesné podobě jako holubice. Z nebe tehdy zazněl hlas: "Ty jsi můj milovaný Syn, v tobě jsem našel zalíbení."
23 (KJV) And Jesus himself began to be about thirty years of age, being (as was supposed) the son of Joseph, which was the son of Heli,

Verš 2
Annas and Caiaphas being the high priests, the word of God came unto John the son of Zacharias in the wilderness.

As it is written in the book of the words of Esaias the prophet, saying, The voice of one crying in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of the Lord, make his paths straight.

And all flesh shall see the salvation of God.
Ž 98:2 - The LORD hath made known his salvation: his righteousness hath he openly shewed in the sight of the heathen.
Iz 52:10 - The LORD hath made bare his holy arm in the eyes of all the nations; and all the ends of the earth shall see the salvation of our God.

Then said he to the multitude that came forth to be baptized of him, O generation of vipers, who hath warned you to flee from the wrath to come?
Mt 3:7 - But when he saw many of the Pharisees and Sadducees come to his baptism, he said unto them, O generation of vipers, who hath warned you to flee from the wrath to come?
Mt 23:33 - Ye serpents, ye generation of vipers, how can ye escape the damnation of hell?

Bring forth therefore fruits worthy of repentance, and begin not to say within yourselves, We have Abraham to our father: for I say unto you, That God is able of these stones to raise up children unto Abraham.

But Herod the tetrarch, being reproved by him for Herodias his brother Philip's wife, and for all the evils which Herod had done,
Mt 14:3 - For Herod had laid hold on John, and bound him, and put him in prison for Herodias' sake, his brother Philip's wife.
Mk 6:18 - For John had said unto Herod, It is not lawful for thee to have thy brother's wife.

Now when all the people were baptized, it came to pass, that Jesus also being baptized, and praying, the heaven was opened,
Mt 3:13 - Then cometh Jesus from Galilee to Jordan unto John, to be baptized of him.
Mk 1:9 - And it came to pass in those days, that Jesus came from Nazareth of Galilee, and was baptized of John in Jordan.
Jn 1:32 - And John bare record, saying, I saw the Spirit descending from heaven like a dove, and it abode upon him.

And the Holy Ghost descended in a bodily shape like a dove upon him, and a voice came from heaven, which said, Thou art my beloved Son; in thee I am well pleased.
Iz 42:1 - Behold my servant, whom I uphold; mine elect, in whom my soul delighteth; I have put my spirit upon him: he shall bring forth judgment to the Gentiles.
Mt 17:5 - While he yet spake, behold, a bright cloud overshadowed them: and behold a voice out of the cloud, which said, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased; hear ye him.
Mk 9:7 - And there was a cloud that overshadowed them: and a voice came out of the cloud, saying, This is my beloved Son: hear him.
Lk 9:35 - And there came a voice out of the cloud, saying, This is my beloved Son: hear him.
Kol 1:13 - Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son:

And Jesus himself began to be about thirty years of age, being (as was supposed) the son of Joseph, which was the son of Heli,
Mt 13:55 - Is not this the carpenter's son? is not his mother called Mary? and his brethren, James, and Joses, and Simon, and Judas?
Jn 6:42 - And they said, Is not this Jesus, the son of Joseph, whose father and mother we know? how is it then that he saith, I came down from heaven?
Lk 3,1-18 - Mt 3, 1-12; Mk 1, 1-18; Jn 1, 19-31.
Lk 3,1 - Lukáš opisuje skutočné udalosti a zvýrazňuje to tým, že dejiny spásy včleňuje do svetských dejín. Presne určuje čas vystúpenia Jána Krstiteľa.
Lk 3,2 - Veľkňaz Annáš bol v tom čase už zosadený. Jeho zaťa Kajfáša Rimania ustanovili za úradujúceho veľkňaza. Pre Židov však zostal veľkňazom aj naďalej Annáš. Jeho vplyv nezanikol ani po zosadení. Preto Lukáš spomína oboch, Annáša aj Kajfáša.

Lk 3,21-22 - Mt 3, 13-17; Mk 1, 9-11; Jn 1, 32-34.
Lk 3,23-38 - Mt 1, 17.Ježišov rodokmeň u Lk sa v mnohom odlišuje od Matúšovho. Lukášovo evanjelium je určené pre obrátených z pohanstva, preto so zreteľom na nich i rodokmeň Ježiša Krista ide až k samému praotcovi celého ľudského pokolenia, aby aj tým vyniklo, že Ježiš je Spasiteľom všetkých ľudí. - Jozefovi predkovia sú u Lk iní ako u Mt. Vysvetlenie podávajú svätí otcovia, odvolávajúc sa na švagrovské manželstvo, a myslia, že oba rodokmene uvádzajú predkov sv. Jozefa. Jeden evanjelista však uvádza prirodzený pôvod sv. Jozefa (Mt), druhý zasa legálny pôvod (Lk) podľa ustanovenia o švagrovskom manželstve (Dt 25, 5-6). Podľa toho Jakub (u Mt) a Héli (u Lk) boli by vlastní bratia od spoločnej matky. Héli zomrel bez potomka. Jeho vdovu si vzal Jakub a od nej mal syna Jozefa. Tak môže byť Jozef súčasne synom Jakubovým (prirodzeným) a Héliho (legálnym).
