Lk 23, 1-56

1 (UKJV) And the whole multitude of them arose, and led him unto Pilate.
1 (KAT) Tu celé zhromaždenie vstalo, odviedli ho k Pilátovi

2 (UKJV) And they began to accuse him, saying, We found this fellow perverting the nation, and forbidding to give tribute to Caesar, saying that he himself is Christ a King.

3 (UKJV) And Pilate asked him, saying, Are you the King of the Jews? And he answered him and said, You say it.
3 (KAT) Pilát sa ho spýtal: „Si židovský kráľ?“ On odpovedal: „Sám to hovoríš.“

4 (UKJV) Then said Pilate to the chief priests and to the people, I find no fault in this man.
4 (KAT) Pilát povedal veľkňazom a zástupom: „Ja nenachádzam nijakú vinu na tomto človeku.“

5 (UKJV) And they were the more fierce, saying, He stirs up the people, teaching throughout all Jewry, beginning from Galilee to this place.
5 (KAT) Ale oni naliehali: „Poburuje ľud a učí po celej Judei; počnúc od Galiley až sem.“

6 (UKJV) When Pilate heard of Galilee, he asked whether the man were a Galilaean.
6 (KAT) Len čo to Pilát počul, opýtal sa, či je ten človek Galilejčan.

7 (UKJV) And as soon as he knew that he belonged unto Herod's jurisdiction, he sent him to Herod, who himself also was at Jerusalem at that time.

8 (UKJV) "And when Herod saw Jesus, he was exceeding glad: for he was desirous to see him of a long season, because he had heard many things of him; and he hoped to have seen some miracle done by him. "
8 (KAT) Keď Herodes uvidel Ježiša, veľmi sa zaradoval. Už dávno ho túžil vidieť, lebo o ňom počul, a dúfal, že ho uvidí urobiť nejaký zázrak.

9 (UKJV) "Then he questioned with him in many words; (o. logos) but he answered him nothing. "

10 (UKJV) And the chief priests and scribes stood and vehemently accused him.
10 (KAT) Stáli tam aj veľkňazi a zákonníci a nástojčivo naň žalovali.

11 (UKJV) And Herod with his men of war set him at nothing, and mocked him, and arrayed him in a gorgeous robe, and sent him again to Pilate.
11 (KAT) Ale Herodes so svojimi vojakmi ním opovrhol, urobil si z neho posmech, dal ho obliecť do bielych šiat a poslal ho nazad k Pilátovi.

12 (UKJV) And the same day Pilate and Herod were made friends together: for before they were at enmity between themselves.
12 (KAT) V ten deň sa Herodes a Pilát spriatelili, lebo predtým žili v nepriateľstve.

13 (UKJV) And Pilate, when he had called together the chief priests and the rulers and the people,
13 (KAT) Pilát zvolal veľkňazov, predstavených a ľud

14 (UKJV) Said unto them, All of you have brought this man unto me, as one that perverts the people: and, behold, I, having examined him before you, have found no fault in this man concerning those things whereof all of you accuse him:
14 (KAT) a povedal im: „Priviedli ste mi tohto človeka, že poburuje ľud. Ja som ho pred vami vypočúval a nenašiel som na tomto človeku nič z toho, čo na neho žalujete.

15 (UKJV) "No, nor yet Herod: for I sent you to him; and, lo, nothing worthy of death is done unto him. "

16 (UKJV) I will therefore chastise him, and release him.
16 (KAT) Potrescem ho teda a prepustím.“

17 (UKJV) (For of necessity he must release one unto them at the feast.)
17 (KAT) (Bol totiž povinný prepustiť im na sviatky jedného.)

18 (UKJV) And they cried out all at once, saying, Away with this man, and release unto us Barabbas:
18 (KAT) Tu celý dav skríkol: „Preč s ním a prepusť nám Barabáša!“

19 (UKJV) (Who for a certain sedition made in the city, and for murder, was cast into prison.)

20 (UKJV) Pilate therefore, willing to release Jesus, spoke again to them.
20 (KAT) Pilát k nim znova prehovoril, lebo chcel Ježiša prepustiť.

21 (UKJV) But they cried, saying, Crucify him, crucify him.
21 (KAT) Ale oni vykrikovali: „Ukrižuj! Ukrižuj ho!“

22 (UKJV) And he said unto them the third time, Why, what evil has he done? I have found no cause of death in him: I will therefore chastise him, and let him go.
22 (KAT) On k nim tretí raz prehovoril: „A čo zlé urobil? Nenašiel som na ňom nič, za čo by si zasluhoval smrť. Potrestám ho teda a prepustím.“

23 (UKJV) And they were instant with loud voices, requiring that he might be crucified. And the voices of them and of the chief priests prevailed.
23 (KAT) Ale oni veľkým krikom dorážali a žiadali, aby ho dal ukrižovať. Ich krik sa stupňoval

24 (UKJV) And Pilate gave sentence that it should be as they required.
24 (KAT) a Pilát sa rozhodol vyhovieť ich žiadosti:

25 (UKJV) "And he released unto them him that for sedition and murder was cast into prison, whom they had desired; but he delivered Jesus to their will. "
25 (KAT) prepustil toho, ktorého si žiadali, čo bol uväznený pre vzburu a vraždu, kým Ježiša vydal ich zvoli.

26 (UKJV) And as they led him away, they laid hold upon one Simon, a Cyrenian, coming out of the country, and on him they laid the cross, that he might bear it after Jesus.

27 (UKJV) And there followed him a great company of people, and of women, which also bewailed and lamented him.

28 (UKJV) But Jesus turning unto them said, Daughters of Jerusalem, weep not for me, but weep for yourselves, and for your children.
28 (KAT) Ježiš sa k nim obrátil a povedal: „Dcéry jeruzalemské, neplačte nado mnou, ale plačte samy nad sebou a nad svojimi deťmi.

29 (UKJV) For, behold, the days are coming, in the which they shall say, Blessed are the barren, and the wombs that never bare, and the breast which never gave suck.
29 (KAT) Lebo prichádzajú dni, keď povedia: »Blahoslavené neplodné, loná, čo nerodili, a prsia, čo nepridájali!«

30 (UKJV) "Then shall they begin to say to the mountains, Fall on us; and to the hills, Cover us. "
30 (KAT) Vtedy začnú hovoriť vrchom: »Padnite na nás!« a kopcom: »Prikryte nás!«

31 (UKJV) For if they do these things in a green tree, what shall be done in the dry?
31 (KAT) Lebo keď toto robia so zeleným stromom, čo sa stane so suchým?“

32 (UKJV) And there were also two other, malefactors, led with him to be put to death.
32 (KAT) Vedno s ním viedli na popravu ešte dvoch zločincov.

33 (UKJV) And when they were come to the place, which is called Calvary, there they crucified him, and the malefactors, one on the right hand, and the other on the left.

34 (UKJV) "Then said Jesus, Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do. And they parted his raiment, and cast lots. "
34 (KAT) Ježiš povedal: „Otče, odpusť im, lebo nevedia, čo robia.“ Potom hodili lós a rozdelili si jeho šaty.

35 (UKJV) "And the people stood beholding. And the rulers also with them derided him, saying, He saved others; let him save himself, if he be Christ, the chosen of God. "

36 (UKJV) And the soldiers also mocked him, coming to him, and offering him vinegar,
36 (KAT) Aj vojaci sa mu posmievali. Chodili k nemu, podávali mu ocot

37 (UKJV) And saying, If you be the king of the Jews, save yourself.
37 (KAT) a hovorili: „Zachráň sa, ak si židovský kráľ!“

38 (UKJV) And a superscription also was written over him in letters of Greek, and Latin, and Hebrew, THIS IS THE KING OF THE JEWS.

39 (UKJV) And one of the malefactors which were hanged railed on him, saying, If you be Christ, save yourself and us.
Zachráň seba i nás!“

40 (UKJV) But the other answering rebuked him, saying, Do not you fear God, seeing you are in the same condemnation?

41 (UKJV) "And we indeed justly; for we receive the due reward of our deeds: but this man has done nothing amiss. "
41 (KAT) Lenže my spravodlivo, lebo dostávame, čo sme si skutkami zaslúžili. Ale on neurobil nič zlé.“

42 (UKJV) And he said unto Jesus, Lord, remember me when you come into your kingdom.
42 (KAT) Potom povedal: „Ježišu, spomeň si na mňa, keď prídeš do svojho kráľovstva.“

43 (UKJV) And Jesus said unto him, Verily I say unto you, To day shall you be with me in paradise.
43 (KAT) On mu odpovedal: „Veru, hovorím ti: Dnes budeš so mnou v raji.“

44 (UKJV) And it was about the sixth hour, and there was a darkness over all the earth until the ninth hour.
44 (KAT) Bolo už okolo dvanástej hodiny a nastala tma po celej zemi až do tretej hodiny popoludní.

45 (UKJV) And the sun was darkened, and the veil of the temple was rent in the midst.
45 (KAT) Slnko sa zatmelo, chrámová opona sa roztrhla napoly

46 (UKJV) And when Jesus had cried with a loud voice, he said, Father, into your hands I commend my spirit: (o. pneuma) and having said thus, he gave up the spirit.
46 (KAT) a Ježiš zvolal mocným hlasom: „Otče, do tvojich rúk porúčam svojho ducha.“ Po tých slovách vydýchol.

47 (UKJV) Now when the centurion saw what was done, he glorified God, saying, Certainly this was a righteous man.
47 (KAT) Keď stotník videl, čo sa stalo, oslavoval Boha, hovoriac: „Tento človek bol naozaj spravodlivý.“

48 (UKJV) And all the people that came together to that sight, beholding the things which were done, stroke their breasts, and returned.

49 (UKJV) And all his acquaintance, and the women that followed him from Galilee, stood far off, beholding these things.

50 (UKJV) "And, behold, there was a man named Joseph, a counsellor; and he was a good man, and a just: "
50 (KAT) Tu istý muž menom Jozef, člen rady, dobrý a spravodlivý človek

51 (UKJV) "(The same had not consented to the counsel and deed of them;) he was of Arimathaea, a city of the Jews: who also himself waited for the kingdom of God. "
51 (KAT) z judejského mesta Arimatey, ktorý nesúhlasil s ich rozhodnutím ani činmi a očakával Božie kráľovstvo,

52 (UKJV) This man went unto Pilate, and begged the body of Jesus.
52 (KAT) zašiel k Pilátovi a poprosil o Ježišovo telo.

53 (UKJV) And he took it down, and wrapped it in linen, and laid it in a tomb that was hewn in stone, wherein never man before was laid.
53 (KAT) Keď ho sňal, zavinul ho do plátna a uložil do vytesaného hrobu, v ktorom ešte nik neležal.

54 (UKJV) And that day was the preparation, and the sabbath drew on.
54 (KAT) Bol Prípravný deň a už sa začínala sobota.

55 (UKJV) And the women also, which came with him from Galilee, followed after, and beheld the tomb, and how his body was laid.

56 (UKJV) "And they returned, and prepared spices and ointments; and rested the sabbath day according to the commandment. "
56 (KAT) Potom sa vrátili domov a pripravili si voňavé oleje a masti. Ale v sobotu zachovali podľa prikázania pokoj.
