Lk 19, 1-48

1 (CPDV) And having entered, he walked through Jericho.
1 (ROH) A vojdúc išiel cez Jericho.

2 (CPDV) And behold, there was a man named Zacchaeus. And he was the leader of the tax collectors, and he was wealthy.
2 (ROH) A hľa, bol tam nejaký muž, menom Zacheus, a to bol nadcolný a bol bohatý.

3 (CPDV) And he sought to see Jesus, to see who he was. But he was unable to do so, because of the crowd, for he was small in stature.

4 (CPDV) And running ahead, he climbed up a sycamore tree, so that he might see him. For he was to pass near there.
4 (ROH) A predbehol napred a vyšiel na planý fík, aby ho videl, lebo tade mal ísť.

5 (CPDV) And when he had arrived at the place, Jesus looked up and saw him, and he said to him: “Zacchaeus, hurry down. For today, I should lodge in your house.”
5 (ROH) A jako prišiel Ježiš na to miesto, pozrel hore a povedal mu: Zachee, sídi rýchle dolu, lebo dnes musím zostať v tvojom dome!

6 (CPDV) And hurrying, he came down, and he received him joyfully.
6 (ROH) A sišiel rýchle a prijal ho radujúc sa.

7 (CPDV) And when they all saw this, they murmured, saying that he had turned aside to a sinful man.
7 (ROH) A vidiac to všetci reptali a hovorili: K hriešnemu človeku vošiel nocovať.

8 (CPDV) But Zacchaeus, standing still, said to the Lord: “Behold, Lord, one half of my goods I give to the poor. And if I have cheated anyone in any matter, I will repay him fourfold.”
8 (ROH) A Zacheus si stal a povedal Pánovi: Hľa, polovicu svojho majetku, Pane, dávam chudobným a jestli som niekoho v niečom oklamal, vraciam štvornásobne.

9 (CPDV) Jesus said to him: “Today, salvation has come to this house; because of this, he too is a son of Abraham.

10 (CPDV) For the Son of man has come to seek and to save what had been lost.”
10 (ROH) Lebo syn človeka prišiel hľadať a spasiť to, čo bolo zahynulo.

11 (CPDV) As they were listening to these things, continuing on, he spoke a parable, because he was nearing Jerusalem, and because they guessed that the kingdom of God might be manifested without delay.

12 (CPDV) Therefore, he said: “A certain man of nobility traveled to a far away region, to receive for himself a kingdom, and to return.
12 (ROH) A tak povedal: Akýsi znamenitého rodu človek odcestoval do ďalekej krajiny, aby prevzal kráľovstvo a zase sa navrátil.

13 (CPDV) And calling his ten servants, he gave them ten pounds, and he said to them: ‘Do business until I return.’
13 (ROH) A pred svojím odchodom zavolal svojich desiatich sluhov, dal im desať hrivien a povedal im: Kupčite, kým neprijdem.

14 (CPDV) But his citizens hated him. And so they sent a delegation after him, saying, ‘We do not want this one to reign over us.’

15 (CPDV) And it happened that he returned, having received the kingdom. And he ordered the servants, to whom he had given the money, to be called so that he would know how much each one had earned by doing business.

16 (CPDV) Now the first approached, saying: ‘Lord, your one pound has earned ten pounds.’
16 (ROH) A prišiel prvý a povedal: Pane, tvoja hrivna získala desať hrivien.

17 (CPDV) And he said to him: ‘Well done, good servant. Since you have been faithful in a small matter, you will hold authority over ten cities.’

18 (CPDV) And the second came, saying: ‘Lord, your one pound has earned five pounds.’
18 (ROH) Potom prišiel druhý a povedal: Pane, tvoja hrivna zarobila päť hrivien.

19 (CPDV) And he said to him, ‘And so, you shall be over five cities.’
19 (ROH) A pán povedal i tomu: Aj ty buď nad piatimi mestami.

20 (CPDV) And another approached, saying: ‘Lord, behold your one pound, which I kept stored in a cloth.
20 (ROH) A iný prišiel a povedal: Pane, tu hľa, tvoja hrivna, ktorú som mal odloženú v ručníčku.

21 (CPDV) For I feared you, because you are an austere man. You take up what you did not lay down, and you reap what you did not sow.’

22 (CPDV) He said to him: ‘By your own mouth, do I judge you, O wicked servant. You knew that I am an austere man, taking up what I did not lay down, and reaping what I did not sow.
22 (ROH) A pán mu povedal: Z tvojich úst ťa súdim, zlý sluha. Vedel si, že som ja prísny človek, že beriem, čoho som nepoložil, a žnem, čoho som nesial,

23 (CPDV) And so, why did you not give my money to the bank, so that, upon my return, I might have withdrawn it with interest?’

24 (CPDV) And he said to the bystanders, ‘Take the pound away from him, and give it to him who has ten pounds.’
24 (ROH) A tým, ktorí tam stáli, povedal: Vezmite od neho hrivnu a dajte tomu, ktorý má desať hrivien.

25 (CPDV) And they said to him, ‘Lord, he has ten pounds.’
25 (ROH) A oni mu povedali: Pane, má desať hrivien.

26 (CPDV) So then, I say to you, that to all who have, it shall be given, and he will have in abundance. And from him who does not have, even what he has will be taken from him.
26 (ROH) Lebo hovorím vám, že každému, kto má, bude dané; ale od toho, kto nemá, bude vzaté i to, čo má.

27 (CPDV) ‘Yet truly, as for those enemies of mine, who did not want me to reign over them, bring them here, and put them to death before me.’ ”
27 (ROH) Ale tých mojich nepriateľov, ktorí nechceli, aby som kraľoval nad nimi, doveďte sem a pobite ich predo mnou!

28 (CPDV) And having said these things, he went ahead, ascending to Jerusalem.
28 (ROH) A keď to povedal, išiel popredku idúc hore do Jeruzalema.

29 (CPDV) And it happened that, when he had drawn near to Bethphage and Bethania, to the mount which is called Olivet, he sent two of his disciples,

30 (CPDV) saying: “Go into the town which is opposite you. Upon entering it, you will find the colt of a donkey, tied, on which no man has ever sat. Untie it, and lead it here.
30 (ROH) a povedal im: Iďte do mestečka tu naproti, a keď budete vchádzať do neho, najdete osľa priviazané, na ktorom ešte nikdy nikto z ľudí nesedel, odviažte ho a priveďte ku mne.

31 (CPDV) And if anyone will ask you, ‘Why are you untying it?’ you shall say this to him: ‘Because the Lord has requested its service.’ ”
31 (ROH) A keby sa vás niekto pýtal, prečo ho odväzujete, takto mu poviete: Pán ho potrebuje.

32 (CPDV) And those who were sent went out, and they found the colt standing, just as he told them.
32 (ROH) A poslaní odišli a našli, jako im povedal.

33 (CPDV) Then, as they were untying the colt, its owners said to them, “Why are you untying the colt?”
33 (ROH) A keď odväzovali osľa, povedali im jeho pánovia: Načo odväzujete osľa?

34 (CPDV) So they said, “Because the Lord has need of it.”
34 (ROH) A oni povedali: Pán ho potrebuje.

35 (CPDV) And they led it to Jesus. And casting their garments on the colt, they helped Jesus onto it.
35 (ROH) A priviedli ho k Ježišovi a hodiac na osľa svoje rúcha vysadili naň Ježiša.

36 (CPDV) Then, as he was traveling, they were laying down their garments along the way.
36 (ROH) A keď išiel, podstierali svoje rúcha na ceste.

37 (CPDV) And when he was now drawing near to the descent of Mount Olivet, the entire crowd of his disciples began to praise God joyfully, with a loud voice, over all the powerful works which they had seen,

38 (CPDV) saying: “Blessed is the king who has arrived in the name of the Lord! Peace in heaven and glory on high!”
38 (ROH) a hovorili: Požehnaný Kráľ, ktorý prichádza v mene Pánovom! Pokoj na nebi a sláva na výsostiach!

39 (CPDV) And certain Pharisees within the crowd said to him, “Teacher, rebuke your disciples.”
39 (ROH) Ale niektorí z farizeov zo zástupu mu povedali: Učiteľu, potresci svojich učeníkov!

40 (CPDV) And he said to them, “I tell you, that if these will keep silent, the stones themselves will cry out.”
40 (ROH) A on odpovedal a riekol im: Hovorím vám, že keby títo mlčali, kamene budú hneď volať.

41 (CPDV) And when he drew near, seeing the city, he wept over it, saying:
41 (ROH) A keď sa priblížil a uvidel mesto, zaplakal nad ním

42 (CPDV) “If only you had known, indeed even in this your day, which things are for your peace. But now they are hidden from your eyes.

43 (CPDV) For the days will overtake you. And your enemies will encircle you with a valley. And they will surround you and hem you in on every side.
43 (ROH) Lebo prijdú na teba dni, že tvoji nepriatelia nahádžu okolo teba val a obkľúčia ťa a sovrú ťa zo všetkých strán

44 (CPDV) And they will knock you down to the ground, with your sons who are in you. And they will not leave stone upon stone within you, because you did not recognize the time of your visitation.”
44 (ROH) a srovnajú ťa so zemou i tvoje deti v tebe a nenechajú v tebe kameňa na kameni, pretože si nepoznalo času svojho navštívenia.

45 (CPDV) And entering into the temple, he began to cast out those who sold in it, and those who bought,
45 (ROH) A vošiel do chrámu a začal vyháňať predávajúcich v ňom a kupujúcich

46 (CPDV) saying to them: “It is written: ‘My house is a house of prayer.’ But you have made it into a den of robbers.”
46 (ROH) a povedal im: Je napísané: Môj dom je domom modlitby, ale vy ste ho urobili pelešou lotrov.

47 (CPDV) And he was teaching in the temple daily. And the leaders of the priests, and the scribes, and the leaders of the people were seeking to destroy him.

48 (CPDV) But they could not find what to do to him. For all the people were listening to him attentively. 610
48 (ROH) ale nenašli, čo by mu urobili, lebo všetok ľud visel na ňom a počúval ho.
