1 (HEM) אחרי אשר רבים הואילו לחבר ספור המעשים אשר נאמנו בשלמות בתוכנו׃
1 (VUL) Quoniam quidem multi conati sunt ordinare narrationem, quae in nobis completae sunt, rerum,
1 (KAT) Už mnohí sa pokúsili zaradom vyrozprávať udalosti, ktoré sa u nás stali,
1 (UKJV) Forasmuch as many have taken in hand to set forth in order a declaration of those things which are most surely believed among us,

2 (HEM) כאשר מסרום לנו הראים אתם בעיניהם מתחלה ואשר היו משרתי הדבר׃
2 (VUL) sicut tradiderunt nobis, qui ab initio ipsi viderunt et ministri fuerunt verbi,
2 (KAT) ako nám ich odovzdali tí, čo ich od začiatku sami videli a boli služobníkmi slova.
2 (UKJV) "Even as they delivered them unto us, which from the beginning were eyewitnesses, and ministers of the word; (o. logos) "

3 (HEM) חשבתי לטוב גם אני החפש כל הדברים היטב מראשיתם לכתבם אליך בסדר תאופילוס האדיר׃
3 (VUL) visum est et mihi, adsecuto a principio omnia, diligenter ex ordine tibi scribere, optime Theophile,
3 (KAT) Preto som sa aj ja rozhodol, že ti to, vznešený Teofil, po dôkladnom preskúmaní všetkého od počiatku verne rad-radom opíšem,
3 (UKJV) It seemed good to me also, having had perfect understanding of all things from the very first, to write unto you in order, most excellent Theophilus,

4 (HEM) למען תדע קשט האמרים אשר חנכת בם׃
4 (VUL) ut cognoscas eorum verborum, de quibus eruditus es, firmitatem.
4 (KAT) aby si poznal spoľahlivosť učenia, do ktorého ťa zasvätili.
4 (UKJV) That you might know the certainty of those things, (o. logos) wherein you have been instructed.

5 (HEM) כהן היה בימי הורדוס מלך יהודה זכריה שמו ממשמרת אביה ולו אשה מבנות אהרן ושמה אלישבע׃
5 (VUL) Fuit in diebus Herodis regis Iudaeae sacerdos quidam nomine Zacharias de vice Abiae, et uxor illi de filiabus Aaron, et nomen eius Elisabeth.
5 (KAT) Za čias judejského kráľa Herodesa žil istý kňaz menom Zachariáš z Abiášovej kňazskej triedy. Jeho manželka pochádzala z Áronových dcér a volala sa Alžbeta.
5 (UKJV) THERE was in the days of Herod, the king of Judaea, a certain priest named Zacharias, of the course of Abia: and his wife was of the daughters of Aaron, and her name was Elisabeth.

6 (HEM) ושניהם היו צדיקים לפני האלהים והלכי תם בכל מצות יהוה ובחקתיו׃
6 (VUL) Erant autem iusti ambo ante Deum, incedentes in omnibus mandatis et iustificationibus Domini, irreprehensibiles.
6 (KAT) Obaja boli spravodliví pred Bohom a bezúhonne zachovávali všetky Pánove prikázania a ustanovenia.
6 (UKJV) And they were both righteous before God, walking in all the commandments and ordinances of the Lord blameless.

7 (HEM) ולא היה להם ילד כי אלישבע עקרה ושניהם באו בימים׃
7 (VUL) Et non erat illis filius, eo quod esset Elisabeth sterilis, et ambo processissent in diebus suis.
7 (KAT) Nemali však deti, lebo Alžbeta bola neplodná a obaja boli v pokročilom veku.
7 (UKJV) And they had no child, because that Elisabeth was barren, and they both were now well stricken in years.

8 (HEM) ויהי היום ויכהן לפני אלהים בסדר משמרתו׃
8 (VUL) Factum est autem, cum sacerdotio fungeretur in ordine vicis suae ante Deum,
8 (KAT) Keď raz prišiel rad na jeho triedu a on konal kňazskú službu pred Bohom,
8 (UKJV) And it came to pass, that while he executed the priest's office before God in the order of his course,

9 (HEM) וכמשפט עבודת הכהנים יצא גורלו להקטיר קטרת ויבא אל היכל יהוה׃
9 (VUL) secundum consuetudinem sacerdotii sorte exiit, ut incensum poneret ingressus in templum Domini;
9 (KAT) podľa zvyku kňazského úradu lósom mu pripadlo vojsť do Pánovho chrámu a priniesť kadidlovú obetu.
9 (UKJV) According to the custom of the priest's office, his lot was to burn incense when he went into the temple of the Lord.

10 (HEM) וכל קהל העם היו מתפללים בחוץ בעת הקטרת׃
10 (VUL) et omnis multitudo erat populi orans foris hora incensi.
10 (KAT) V čase kadidlovej obety sa vonku modlilo množstvo ľudu.
10 (UKJV) And the whole multitude of the people were praying without at the time of incense.

11 (HEM) וירא אליו מלאך יהוה עמד לימין מזבח הקטרת׃
11 (VUL) Apparuit autem illi angelus Domini stans a dextris altaris incensi;
11 (KAT) Tu sa mu zjavil Pánov anjel; stál na pravej strane kadidlového oltára.
11 (UKJV) And there appeared unto him an angel of the Lord standing on the right side of the altar of incense.

12 (HEM) ויבהל זכריה בראותו אתו ואימה נפלה עליו׃
12 (VUL) et Zacharias turbatus est videns, et timor irruit super eum.
12 (KAT) Keď ho Zachariáš zbadal, zľakol sa a zmocňovala sa ho hrôza.
12 (UKJV) And when Zacharias saw him, he was troubled, and fear fell upon him.

13 (HEM) ויאמר אליו המלאך אל תירא זכריהו כי נשמעה תפלתך ואלישבע אשתך תלד לך בן וקראת שמו יוחנן׃
13 (VUL) Ait autem ad illum angelus: “ Ne timeas, Zacharia, quoniam exaudita est deprecatio tua, et uxor tua Elisabeth pariet tibi filium, et vocabis nomen eius Ioannem.
13 (KAT) Ale anjel mu povedal: „Neboj sa, Zachariáš, lebo je vyslyšaná tvoja modlitba. Tvoja manželka Alžbeta ti porodí syna a dáš mu meno Ján.
13 (UKJV) "But the angel said unto him, Fear not, Zacharias: for your prayer is heard; and your wife Elisabeth shall bear you a son, and you shall call his name John. "

14 (HEM) והיה לך לשמחה וגיל ורבים ישמחו בהולדו׃
14 (VUL) Et erit gaudium tibi et exsultatio, et multi in nativitate eius gaudebunt:
14 (KAT) Budeš sa radovať a plesať a jeho narodenie poteší mnohých.
14 (UKJV) "And you shall have joy and gladness; and many shall rejoice at his birth. "

15 (HEM) כי גדול יהיה לפני יהוה ויין ושכר לא ישתה ורוח הקדש ימלא בעודנו בבטן אמו׃
15 (VUL) erit enim magnus coram Domino et vinum et siceram non bibet et Spiritu Sancto replebitur adhuc ex utero matris suae
15 (KAT) Lebo on bude veľký pred Pánom. Víno a opojný nápoj piť nebude a už v matkinom lone ho naplní Duch Svätý.
15 (UKJV) "For he shall be great in the sight of the Lord, and shall drink neither wine nor strong drink; and he shall be filled with the Holy Spirit, (o. pneuma) even from his mother's womb. "

16 (HEM) ורבים מבני ישראל ישיב אל יהוה אלהיהם׃
16 (VUL) et multos filiorum Israel convertet ad Dominum Deum ipsorum.
16 (KAT) Mnohých synov Izraela obráti k Pánovi, ich Bohu.
16 (UKJV) And many of the children of Israel shall he turn to the Lord their God.

17 (HEM) והוא ילך לפניו ברוח אליהו ובגבורתו להשיב את לב אבות על בנים ואת הסוררים לתבונת הצדיקים להעמיד ליהוה עם מתקן׃
17 (VUL) Et ipse praecedet ante illum in spiritu et virtute Eliae, ut convertat corda patrum in filios et incredibiles ad prudentiam iustorum, parare Domino plebem perfectam ”.
17 (KAT) Sám pôjde pred ním s Eliášovým duchom a mocou, aby obrátil srdcia otcov k synom a neveriacich k múdrosti spravodlivých a pripravil Pánovi dokonalý ľud.“
17 (UKJV) "And he shall go before him in the spirit (o. pneuma) and power of Elijah, to turn the hearts of the fathers to the children, and the disobedient to the wisdom of the just; to make ready a people prepared for the Lord. "

18 (HEM) ויאמר זכריה אל המלאך במה אדע זאת כי אני זקנתי ואשתי באה בימים׃
18 (VUL) Et dixit Zacharias ad angelum: “ Unde hoc sciam? Ego enim sum senex, et uxor mea processit in diebus suis ”.
18 (KAT) Zachariáš povedal anjelovi: „Podľa čoho to poznám? Veď ja som starec a moja manželka je v pokročilom veku.“
18 (UKJV) And Zacharias said unto the angel, Whereby shall I know this? for I am an old man, and my wife well stricken in years.

19 (HEM) ויען המלאך ויאמר אליו אני גבריאל העומד לפני האלהים ושלוח אנכי לדבר אליך ולבשרך את זאת׃
19 (VUL) Et respondens angelus dixit ei: “ Ego sum Gabriel, qui adsto ante Deum, et missus sum loqui ad te et haec tibi evangelizare.
19 (KAT) Anjel mu odpovedal: „Ja som Gabriel. Stojím pred Bohom a som poslaný hovoriť s tebou a oznámiť ti túto radostnú zvesť.
19 (UKJV) "And the angel answering said unto him, I am Gabriel, that stand in the presence of God; and am sent to speak unto you, and to show you these glad tidings. "

20 (HEM) והנה תאלם ולא תוכל לדבר עד היום אשר תהיה זאת תחת כי לא האמנת בדברי אשר ימלאו למועדם׃
20 (VUL) Et ecce: eris tacens et non poteris loqui usque in diem, quo haec fiant, pro eo quod non credidisti verbis meis, quae implebuntur in tempore suo ”.
20 (KAT) Ale onemieš a nebudeš môcť hovoriť až do dňa, keď sa toto stane, lebo si neuveril mojim slovám, ktoré sa splnia v svojom čase.“
20 (UKJV) And, behold, you shall be dumb, and not able to speak, until the day that these things shall be performed, because you believe not my words, (o. logos) which shall be fulfilled in their season.

21 (HEM) והעם היה מחכה לזכריה ויתמהו כי אחר בהיכל׃
21 (VUL) Et erat plebs exspectans Zachariam, et mirabantur quod tardaret ipse in templo.
21 (KAT) Ľud čakal na Zachariáša a divil sa, že sa tak dlho zdržuje v chráme.
21 (UKJV) And the people waited for Zacharias, and marvelled that he tarried so long in the temple.

22 (HEM) ויהי בצאתו לא יכל לדבר אליהם וידעו כי מראה ראה בהיכל וירמז להם ועודנו נאלם׃
22 (VUL) Egressus autem non poterat loqui ad illos, et cognoverunt quod visionem vidisset in templo; et ipse erat innuens illis et permansit mutus.
22 (KAT) Ale keď vyšiel, nemohol k nim prehovoriť; a oni pochopili, že mal v chráme videnie. Dával im znaky a zostal nemý.
22 (UKJV) And when he came out, he could not speak unto them: and they perceived that he had seen a vision in the temple: for he beckoned unto them, and remained speechless.

23 (HEM) ויהי כאשר מלאו ימי עבדתו וילך לו אל ביתו׃
23 (VUL) Et factum est, ut impleti sunt dies officii eius, abiit in domum suam.
23 (KAT) Len čo sa skončili dni jeho služby, vrátil sa domov.
23 (UKJV) And it came to pass, that, as soon as the days of his ministration were accomplished, he departed to his own house.

24 (HEM) ויהי אחרי הימים האלה ותהר אלישבע אשתו ותתחבא חמשה חדשים ותאמר׃
24 (VUL) Post hos autem dies concepit Elisabeth uxor eius et occultabat se mensibus quinque dicens:
24 (KAT) Po tých dňoch jeho manželka Alžbeta počala, ale skrývala sa päť mesiacov a hovorila:
24 (UKJV) And after those days his wife Elisabeth conceived, and hid herself five months, saying,

25 (HEM) ככה עשה לי יהוה בימי פקדו אותי לאסף את חרפתי בתוך בני אדם׃
25 (VUL) “ Sic mihi fecit Dominus in diebus, quibus respexit auferre opprobrium meum inter homines ”.
25 (KAT) „Toto mi urobil Pán v čase, keď zhliadol na mňa, aby ma zbavil hanby pred ľuďmi.“
25 (UKJV) Thus has the Lord dealt with me in the days wherein he looked on me, to take away my reproach among men.

26 (HEM) ויהי בחדש הששי וישלח המלאך גבריאל מאת האלהים גלילה אל עיר אשר שמה נצרת׃
26 (VUL) In mense autem sexto missus est angelus Gabriel a Deo in civitatem Galilaeae, cui nomen Nazareth,
26 (KAT) V šiestom mesiaci poslal Boh anjela Gabriela do galilejského mesta, ktoré sa volá Nazaret,
26 (UKJV) And in the sixth month the angel Gabriel was sent from God unto a city of Galilee, named Nazareth,

27 (HEM) אל בתולה מארשה לאיש אשר שמו יוסף מבית דוד ושם הבתולה מרים׃
27 (VUL) ad virginem desponsatam viro, cui nomen erat Ioseph de domo David, et nomen virginis Maria.
27 (KAT) k panne zasnúbenej mužovi z rodu Dávidovho, menom Jozefovi. A meno panny bolo Mária.
27 (UKJV) "To a virgin espoused to a man whose name was Joseph, of the house of David; and the virgin's name was Mary. "

28 (HEM) ויבא המלאך אליה החדרה ויאמר שלום לך אשת חן יהוה עמך ברוכה את בנשים׃
28 (VUL) Et ingressus ad eam dixit: “ Ave, gratia plena, Dominus tecum ”.
28 (KAT) Anjel prišiel k nej a povedal: „Zdravas’, milosti plná, Pán s tebou.“
28 (UKJV) And the angel came in unto her, and said, Hail, you that are highly favoured, the Lord is with you: blessed are you among women.

29 (HEM) והיא בראותה נבהלה לדברו ותאמר בלבה מה היא הברכה הזאת׃
29 (VUL) Ipsa autem turbata est in sermone eius et cogitabat qualis esset ista salutatio.
29 (KAT) Ona sa nad jeho slovami zarazila a rozmýšľala, čo znamená takýto pozdrav.
29 (UKJV) And when she saw him, she was troubled at his saying, (o. logos) and cast in her mind what manner of salutation this should be.

30 (HEM) ויאמר לה המלאך אל תיראי מרים כי מצאת חן לפני האלהים׃
30 (VUL) Et ait angelus ei: “ Ne timeas, Maria; invenisti enim gratiam apud Deum.
30 (KAT) Anjel jej povedal: „Neboj sa, Mária, našla si milosť u Boha.
30 (UKJV) And the angel said unto her, Fear not, Mary: for you have found favour with God.

31 (HEM) והנך הרה וילדת בן וקראת את שמו ישוע׃
31 (VUL) Et ecce concipies in utero et paries filium et vocabis nomen eius Iesum.
31 (KAT) Počneš a porodíš syna a dáš mu meno Ježiš.
31 (UKJV) And, behold, you shall conceive in your womb, and bring forth a son, and shall call his name JESUS.

32 (HEM) והוא גדול יהיה ובן עליון יקרא ויהוה אלהים יתן לו את כסא דוד אביו׃
32 (VUL) Hic erit magnus et Filius Altissimi vocabitur, et dabit illi Dominus Deus sedem David patris eius,
32 (KAT) On bude veľký a bude sa volať Synom Najvyššieho. Pán Boh mu dá trón jeho otca Dávida,
32 (UKJV) He shall be great, and shall be called the Son of the Highest: and the Lord God shall give unto him the throne of his father David:

33 (HEM) ועל בית יעקב ימלך לעולם ועד ולמלכותו אין קץ׃
33 (VUL) et regnabit super domum Iacob in aeternum, et regni eius non erit finis ”.
33 (KAT) naveky bude kraľovať nad Jakubovým rodom a jeho kráľovstvu nebude konca.“
33 (UKJV) "And he shall reign over the house of Jacob for ever; and of his kingdom there shall be no end. "

34 (HEM) ותאמר מרים אל המלאך איך תהיה זאת ואני אינני ידעת איש׃
34 (VUL) Dixit autem Maria ad angelum: “ Quomodo fiet istud, quoniam virum non cognosco? ”.
34 (KAT) Mária povedala anjelovi: „Ako sa to stane, veď ja muža nepoznám?“
34 (UKJV) Then said Mary unto the angel, How shall this be, seeing I know not a man?

35 (HEM) ויען המלאך ויאמר אליה רוח הקדש תבוא עליך וגבורת עליון תצל עליך על כן גם לקדוש הילוד יקרא בן אלהים׃
35 (VUL) Et respondens angelus dixit ei: “ Spiritus Sanctus superveniet in te, et virtus Altissimi obumbrabit tibi: ideoque et quod nascetur sanctum, vocabitur Filius Dei.
35 (KAT) Anjel jej odpovedal: „Duch Svätý zostúpi na teba a moc Najvyššieho ťa zatieni. A preto aj dieťa bude sa volať svätým, bude to Boží Syn.
35 (UKJV) And the angel answered and said unto her, The Holy Spirit (o. pneuma) shall come upon you, and the power of the Highest shall overshadow you: therefore also that holy thing which shall be born of you shall be called the Son of God.

36 (HEM) והנה אלישבע קרובתך אשר קראו לה עקרה גם היא הרתה בן בזקנתה וזה לה החדש הששי׃
36 (VUL) Et ecce Elisabeth cognata tua et ipsa concepit filium in senecta sua, et hic mensis est sextus illi, quae vocatur sterilis,
36 (KAT) Aj Alžbeta, tvoja príbuzná, počala syna v starobe. Už je v šiestom mesiaci. A hovorili o nej, že je neplodná!
36 (UKJV) And, behold, your cousin Elisabeth, she has also conceived a son in her old age: and this is the sixth month with her, who was called barren.

37 (HEM) כי לא יפלא מאלהים כל דבר׃
37 (VUL) quia non erit impossibile apud Deum omne verbum ”.
37 (KAT) Lebo Bohu nič nie je nemožné.“
37 (UKJV) For with God nothing (o. rhema) shall be impossible.

38 (HEM) ותאמר מרים הנני שפחת יהוה יהי לי כדברך ויצא מאתה המלאך׃
38 (VUL) Dixit autem Maria: “ Ecce ancilla Domini; fiat mihi secundum verbum tuum ”. Et discessit ab illa angelus.
38 (KAT) Mária povedala: „Hľa, služobnica Pána, nech sa mi stane podľa tvojho slova.“ Anjel potom od nej odišiel.
38 (UKJV) "And Mary said, Behold the handmaid of the Lord; be it unto me according to your word. (o. rhema) And the angel departed from her. "

39 (HEM) ותקם מרים בימים ההם ותמהר ללכת ההרה אל עיר יהודה׃
39 (VUL) Exsurgens autem Maria in diebus illis abiit in montana cum festinatione in civitatem Iudae
39 (KAT) V tých dňoch sa Mária vydala na cestu a ponáhľala sa do istého judejského mesta v hornatom kraji.
39 (UKJV) "And Mary arose in those days, and went into the hill country with haste, into a city of Juda; "

40 (HEM) ותבא בית זכריה ותברך את אלישבע׃
40 (VUL) et intravit in domum Zachariae et salutavit Elisabeth.
40 (KAT) Vošla do Zachariášovho domu a pozdravila Alžbetu.
40 (UKJV) And entered into the house of Zacharias, and saluted Elisabeth.

41 (HEM) ויהי כשמע אלישבע את ברכת מרים וירקד הילד במעיה ותמלא אלישבע רוח הקדש׃
41 (VUL) Et factum est, ut audivit salutationem Mariae Elisabeth, exsultavit infans in utero eius, et repleta est Spiritu Sancto Elisabeth
41 (KAT) Len čo Alžbeta začula Máriin pozdrav, dieťa v jej lone sa zachvelo a Alžbetu naplnil Duch Svätý.
41 (UKJV) "And it came to pass, that, when Elisabeth heard the salutation of Mary, the babe leaped in her womb; and Elisabeth was filled with the Holy Spirit: (o. pneuma) "

42 (HEM) ותקרא בקול גדול ותאמר ברוכה את בנשים וברוך פרי בטנך׃
42 (VUL) et exclamavit voce magna et dixit: “ Benedicta tu inter mulieres, et benedictus fructus ventris tui.
42 (KAT) Vtedy zvolala veľkým hlasom: „Požehnaná si medzi ženami a požehnaný je plod tvojho života.
42 (UKJV) And she spoke out with a loud voice, and said, Blessed are you among women, and blessed is the fruit of your womb.

43 (HEM) ומאין לי זאת אשר אם אדני באה אלי׃
43 (VUL) Et unde hoc mihi, ut veniat mater Domini mei ad me?
43 (KAT) Čím som si zaslúžila, že matka môjho Pána prichádza ku mne?
43 (UKJV) And whence is this to me, that the mother of my Lord should come to me?

44 (HEM) כי קול ברכתך בא באזני והנה רקד בשמחה הילד במעי׃
44 (VUL) Ecce enim ut facta est vox salutationis tuae in auribus meis, exsultavit in gaudio infans in utero meo.
44 (KAT) Lebo len čo zaznel tvoj pozdrav v mojich ušiach, radosťou sa zachvelo dieťa v mojom lone.
44 (UKJV) For, lo, as soon as the voice of your salutation sounded in mine ears, the babe leaped in my womb for joy.

45 (HEM) ואשרי המאמינה כי המלא תמלא אשר דבר לה מאת יהוה׃
45 (VUL) Et beata, quae credidit, quoniam perficientur ea, quae dicta sunt ei a Domino ”.
45 (KAT) A blahoslavená je tá, ktorá uverila, že sa splní, čo jej povedal Pán.“
45 (UKJV) And blessed is she that believed: for there shall be a performance of those things which were told her from the Lord.

46 (HEM) ותאמר מרים רוממה נפשי את יהוה׃
46 (VUL) Et ait Maria: “ Magnificat anima mea Dominum,
46 (KAT) Mária hovorila: „Velebí moja duša Pána
46 (UKJV) And Mary said, My soul does magnify the Lord,

47 (HEM) ותגל רוחי באלהי ישעי׃
47 (VUL) et exsultavit spiritus meus in Deo salvatore meo,
47 (KAT) a môj duch jasá v Bohu, mojom Spasiteľovi,
47 (UKJV) And my spirit (o. pneuma) has rejoiced in God my Saviour.

48 (HEM) ]94-84[ אשר ראה בעני אמתו כי הנה מעתה כל הדרות יאשרוני כי גדלות עשה לי שדי וקדוש שמו׃
48 (VUL) quia respexit humilitatem ancillae suae. Ecce enim ex hoc beatam me dicent omnes generationes,
48 (KAT) lebo zhliadol na poníženosť svojej služobnice. Hľa, od tejto chvíle blahoslaviť ma budú všetky pokolenia,
48 (UKJV) For he has regarded the low estate of his handmaiden: for, behold, from henceforth all generations shall call me blessed.

49 (HEM) ]94-84[׃
49 (VUL) quia fecit mihi magna, qui potens est, et sanctum nomen eius,
49 (KAT) lebo veľké veci mi urobil ten, ktorý je mocný, a sväté je jeho meno
49 (UKJV) "For he that is mighty has done to me great things; and holy is his name. "

50 (HEM) וחסדו לדור דורים על יראיו׃
50 (VUL) et misericordia eius in progenies et progenies timentibus eum.
50 (KAT) a jeho milosrdenstvo z pokolenia na pokolenie s tými, čo sa ho boja.
50 (UKJV) And his mercy is on them that fear him from generation to generation.

51 (HEM) גבורות עשה בזרעו פזר גאים במזמות לבבם׃
51 (VUL) Fecit potentiam in brachio suo, dispersit superbos mente cordis sui;
51 (KAT) Ukázal silu svojho ramena, rozptýlil tých, čo v srdci pyšne zmýšľajú.
51 (UKJV) "He has showed strength with his arm; he has scattered the proud in the imagination of their hearts. "

52 (HEM) הרס נדיבים מכסאותו וירם שפלים׃
52 (VUL) deposuit potentes de sede et exaltavit humiles;
52 (KAT) Mocnárov zosadil z trónov a povýšil ponížených.
52 (UKJV) He has put down the mighty from their seats, and exalted them of low degree.

53 (HEM) רעבים מלא טוב ועשירים שלח ריקם׃

55 (HEM) כאשר דבר אל אבותינו לאברהם ולזרעו עד עולם׃
55 (VUL) sicut locutus est ad patres nostros, Abraham et semini eius in saecula ”.
55 (KAT) ako sľúbil našim otcom, Abrahámovi a jeho potomstvu naveky.“
55 (UKJV) As he spoke to our fathers, to Abraham, and to his seed for ever.

56 (HEM) ותשב מרים עמה כשלשה חדשים ותשב לביתה׃
56 (VUL) Mansit autem Maria cum illa quasi mensibus tribus et reversa est in domum suam.
56 (KAT) Mária zostala pri nej asi tri mesiace a potom sa vrátila domov.
56 (UKJV) And Mary abode with her about three months, and returned to her own house.

57 (HEM) וימלאו ימי אלישבע ללדת ותלד בן׃
57 (VUL) Elisabeth autem impletum est tempus pariendi, et peperit filium.
57 (KAT) Alžbete nadišiel čas pôrodu a porodila syna.
57 (UKJV) "Now Elisabeth's full time came that she should be delivered; and she brought forth a son. "

58 (HEM) וישמעו שכניה וקרוביה כי הגדיל יהוה את חסדו עמה וישמחו אתה׃
58 (VUL) Et audierunt vicini et cognati eius quia magnificavit Dominus misericordiam suam cum illa, et congratulabantur ei.
58 (KAT) Keď jej susedia a príbuzní počuli, že jej Pán prejavil svoje veľké milosrdenstvo, radovali sa s ňou.
58 (UKJV) "And her neighbours and her cousins heard how the Lord had showed great mercy upon her; and they rejoiced with her. "

59 (HEM) ויהי ביום השמיני ויבאו למול את הילד ויקראו אתו זכריה על שם אביו׃
59 (VUL) Et factum est, in die octavo venerunt circumcidere puerum et vocabant eum nomine patris eius, Zachariam.
59 (KAT) Na ôsmy deň prišli chlapca obrezať a chceli mu dať meno Zachariáš po jeho otcovi.
59 (UKJV) "And it came to pass, that on the eighth day they came to circumcise the child; and they called him Zacharias, after the name of his father. "

60 (HEM) ותען אמו ותאמר לא כי יוחנן יקרא׃
60 (VUL) Et respondens mater eius dixit: “ Nequaquam, sed vocabitur Ioannes ”.
60 (KAT) Ale jeho matka povedala: „Nie, bude sa volať Ján.“
60 (UKJV) "And his mother answered and said, Not so; but he shall be called John. "

61 (HEM) ויאמרו אליה אין איש במשפחתך אשר נקרא בשם הזה׃
61 (VUL) Et dixerunt ad illam: “ Nemo est in cognatione tua, qui vocetur hoc nomine ”.
61 (KAT) Povedali jej: „Veď v tvojom príbuzenstve sa nik takto nevolá.“
61 (UKJV) And they said unto her, There is none of your kindred that is called by this name.

62 (HEM) וירמזו אל אביו לדעת מה השם אשר יחפץ להקרא לו׃
62 (VUL) Innuebant autem patri eius quem vellet vocari eum.
62 (KAT) Dali znak otcovi, ako ho chce nazvať on.
62 (UKJV) And they made signs to his father, how he would have him called.

63 (HEM) וישאל לוח ויכתב עליו לאמר יוחנן שמו ויתמהו כלם׃
63 (VUL) Et postulans pugillarem scripsit dicens: “ Ioannes est nomen eius ”. Et mirati sunt universi.
63 (KAT) Vypýtal si tabuľku a napísal: „Ján sa bude volať.“ A všetci sa divili.
63 (UKJV) And he asked for a writing table, and wrote, saying, His name is John. And they marvelled all.

64 (HEM) ויפתח פיו ולשונו פתאם וידבר ויברך את האלהים׃
64 (VUL) Apertum est autem ilico os eius et lingua eius, et loquebatur benedicens Deum.
64 (KAT) Vtom sa mu rozviazali ústa a jazyk i prehovoril a velebil Boha.
64 (UKJV) And his mouth was opened immediately, and his tongue loosed, and he spoke, and praised God.

65 (HEM) ותפל אימה על כל שכניהם ויספר כל הדברים האלה בכל הרי יהודה׃
65 (VUL) Et factus est timor super omnes vicinos eorum, et super omnia montana Iudaeae divulgabantur omnia verba haec.
65 (KAT) Všetkých ich susedov zmocnil sa strach a všade po judejských horách sa hovorilo o týchto udalostiach.
65 (UKJV) And fear came on all that dwelt round about them: and all these sayings (o. rhema) were noised abroad throughout all the hill country of Judaea.

66 (HEM) וישימו כל השמעים אל לבם לאמר מה אפוא יהיה הילד הזה ויד יהוה היתה עמו׃
66 (VUL) Et posuerunt omnes, qui audierant, in corde suo dicentes: “ Quid putas puer iste erit? ”. Etenim manus Domini erat cum illo.
66 (KAT) A všetci, čo to počuli, vštepili si to do srdca a vraveli: „Čím len bude tento chlapec?“ A vskutku Pánova ruka bola s ním.
66 (UKJV) And all they that heard them laid them up in their hearts, saying, What manner of child shall this be! And the hand of the Lord was with him.

67 (HEM) וימלא זכריה אביו רוח הקדש וינבא לאמר׃
67 (VUL) Et Zacharias pater eius impletus est Spiritu Sancto et prophetavit dicens:
67 (KAT) Jeho otca Zachariáša naplnil Duch Svätý a takto prorokoval:
67 (UKJV) And his father Zacharias was filled with the Holy Spirit, (o. pneuma) and prophesied, saying,

68 (HEM) ברוך יהוה אלהי ישראל כי פקד את עמו וישלח לו פדות׃
68 (VUL) “ Benedictus Dominus, Deus Israel, quia visitavit et fecit redemptionem plebi suae
68 (KAT) „Nech je zvelebený Pán, Boh Izraela, lebo navštívil a vykúpil svoj ľud
68 (UKJV) "Blessed be the Lord God of Israel; for he has visited and redeemed his people, "

69 (HEM) וירם לנו קרן ישועה בבית דוד עבדו׃
69 (VUL) et erexit cornu salutis nobis in domo David pueri sui,
69 (KAT) a vzbudil nám mocného Spasiteľa z rodu Dávida, svojho služobníka,
69 (UKJV) "And has raised up an horn of salvation for us in the house of his servant David; "

70 (HEM) כאשר דבר בפי נביאיו הקדושים אשר מעולם׃
70 (VUL) sicut locutus est per os sanctorum, qui a saeculo sunt, prophetarum eius,
70 (KAT) ako odpradávna hovoril ústami svojich svätých prorokov,
70 (UKJV) As he spoke by the mouth of his holy prophets, which have been since the world began:

71 (HEM) ישועה מאיבינו ומיד כל שנאינו׃
71 (VUL) salutem ex inimicis nostris et de manu omnium, qui oderunt nos;
71 (KAT) že nás oslobodí od našich nepriateľov a z rúk všetkých, čo nás nenávidia.
71 (UKJV) "That we should be saved from our enemies, and from the hand of all that hate us; "

72 (HEM) לעשות חסד עם אבותינו ולזכר את ברית קדשו׃
72 (VUL) ad faciendam misericordiam cum patribus nostris et memorari testamenti sui sancti,
72 (KAT) Preukázal milosrdenstvo našim otcom a pamätá na svoju svätú zmluvu,
72 (UKJV) "To perform the mercy promised to our fathers, and to remember his holy covenant; "

73 (HEM) את השבועה אשר נשבע לאברהם אבינו׃
73 (VUL) iusiurandum, quod iuravit ad Abraham patrem nostrum, daturum se nobis,
73 (KAT) na prísahu, ktorou sa zaviazal nášmu otcovi Abrahámovi, že nás vyslobodí z rúk nepriateľov,
73 (UKJV) The oath which he swore to our father Abraham,

74 (HEM) להצילנו מיד איבינו ולתתנו לעבדו בלי פחד׃
74 (VUL) ut sine timore, de manu inimicorum liberati, serviamus illi
74 (KAT) aby sme mu bez strachu slúžili
74 (UKJV) That he would grant unto us, that we being delivered out of the hand of our enemies might serve him without fear,

75 (HEM) בתמים ובצדקה לפניו כל ימי חיינו׃
75 (VUL) in sanctitate et iustitia coram ipso omnibus diebus nostris.
75 (KAT) vo svätosti a spravodlivosti pred jeho tvárou po všetky dni nášho života.
75 (UKJV) In holiness and righteousness before him, all the days of our life.

76 (HEM) ואתה הילד נביא עליון תקרא כי לפני יהוה תלך לפנות את דרכיו׃
76 (VUL) Et tu, puer, propheta Altissimi vocaberis: praeibis enim ante faciem Domini parare vias eius,
76 (KAT) A ty, chlapček, budeš sa volať prorokom Najvyššieho: pôjdeš pred tvárou Pána, pripravíš mu cestu
76 (UKJV) "And you, child, shall be called the prophet of the Highest: for you shall go before the face of the Lord to prepare his ways; "

77 (HEM) לתת דעת הישועה לעמו בסליחת חטאתיהם׃
77 (VUL) ad dandam scientiam salutis plebi eius in remissionem peccatorum eorum,
77 (KAT) a poučíš jeho ľud o spáse,
77 (UKJV) To give knowledge of salvation unto his people by the remission of their sins,

78 (HEM) ברחמי חסד אלהינו אשר בהם פקדנו הנגה ממרום׃
78 (VUL) per viscera misericordiae Dei nostri, in quibus visitabit nos oriens ex alto,
78 (KAT) že mu náš Boh z hĺbky svojho milosrdenstva odpustí hriechy. Tak nás Vychádzajúci z výsosti navštívi
78 (UKJV) "Through the tender mercy of our God; whereby the dayspring from on high has visited us, "

79 (HEM) להאיר לישבי חשך וצלמות ולהכין את רגלינו אל דרך השלום׃
79 (VUL) illuminare his, qui in tenebris et in umbra mortis sedent, ad dirigendos pedes nostros in viam pacis ”.
79 (KAT) a zažiari tým, čo sedia vo tme a v tôni smrti, a naše kroky upriami na cestu pokoja.“
79 (UKJV) To give light to them that sit in darkness and in the shadow of death, to guide our feet into the way of peace.

80 (HEM) ויגדל הילד ויחזק ברוח ויהי במדברות עד יום הראתו אל ישראל׃
80 (VUL) Puer autem crescebat et confortabatur spiritu et erat in deserto usque in diem ostensionis suae ad Israel.
80 (KAT) Chlapec rástol a mocnel na duchu a žil na púšti až do dňa, keď vystúpil pred Izrael.
80 (UKJV) And the child grew, and waxed strong in spirit, (o. pneuma) and was in the deserts till the day of his showing unto Israel.
