1 (UKJV) When he was come down from the mountain, great multitudes followed him.
1 (ROH) A keď sišiel s vrchu, išlo za ním mnoho zástupov.
2 (UKJV) And, behold, there came a leper and worshipped him, saying, Lord, if you will, you can make me clean.
2 (ROH) A hľa, malomocný pristúpiac klaňal sa mu a vravel: Pane, keby si chcel, môžeš ma očistiť.
3 (UKJV) "And Jesus put forth his hand, and touched him, saying, I will; be you clean. And immediately his leprosy was cleansed. "
3 (ROH) A Ježiš vystrel ruku, dotknul sa ho a povedal: Chcem, buď čistý! A hneď bolo očistené jeho malomocenstvo.
4 (UKJV) "And Jesus says unto him, See you tell no man; but go your way, show yourself to the priest, and offer the gift that Moses commanded, for a testimony unto them. "
4 (ROH) A Ježiš mu riekol: Hľaď, aby si nikomu nepovedal o tom, ale idi, ukáž sa kňazovi a obetuj dar, aký nariadil Mojžiš, im na svedoctvo.
5 (UKJV) And when Jesus was entered into Capernaum, there came unto him a centurion, beseeching him,
5 (ROH) A keď vošiel Ježiš do Kafarnauma, pristúpil k nemu stotník, ktorý ho prosil
6 (UKJV) And saying, Lord, my servant lies at home sick of the palsy, grievously tormented.
6 (ROH) a hovoril: Pane, môj služobník leží doma porazený a hrozne sa trápi.
7 (UKJV) And Jesus says unto him, I will come and heal him.
7 (ROH) A Ježiš mu riekol: Ja prijdem a uzdravím ho.
8 (UKJV) The centurion answered and said, Lord, I am not worthy that you should come under my roof: but speak the word (o. logos) only, and my servant shall be healed.
8 (ROH) A stotník odpovedal a riekol: Pane, nie som hoden, aby si vošiel pod moju strechu, ale povedz len slovo, a môj služobník bude uzdravený.
9 (UKJV) "For I am a man under authority, having soldiers under me: and I say to this man, Go, and he goes; and to another, Come, and he comes; and to my servant, Do this, and he does it. "
9 (ROH) Lebo veď i ja som človek, pod mocou iných majúc pod sebou vojakov, a keď poviem tomuto: Iď! tak ide, a inému: Prijdi! a prijde, a svojmu sluhovi: Učiň toto! a učiní.
10 (UKJV) When Jesus heard it, he marvelled, and said to them that followed, Verily I say unto you, I have not found so great faith, no, not in Israel.
10 (ROH) Keď to počul Ježiš zadivil sa a povedal tým, ktorí išli za ním: Ameň vám hovorím, že ani v Izraelovi som nenašiel tak velikej viery.
11 (UKJV) And I say unto you, That many shall come from the east and west, and shall sit down with Abraham, and Isaac, and Jacob, in the kingdom of heaven.
11 (ROH) Ale vám hovorím, že mnohí prijdú od východu aj od západu a budú stolovať s Abrahámom, Izákom a Jakobom v nebeskom kráľovstve,
12 (UKJV) But the children of the kingdom shall be cast out into outer darkness: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.
12 (ROH) ale synovia kráľovstva budú vyvrhnutí do zovnútornej tmy; tam bude plač a škrípanie zubami.
13 (UKJV) "And Jesus said unto the centurion, Go your way; and as you have believed, so be it done unto you. And his servant was healed in the very same hour. "
13 (ROH) A potom riekol Ježiš stotníkovi: Iď, a jako si uveril, tak nech sa ti stane! A jeho služobník bol uzdravený v tú hodinu.
14 (UKJV) And when Jesus was come into Peter's house, he saw his wife's mother laid, and sick of a fever.
14 (ROH) A keď prišiel Ježiš do domu Petrovho videl jeho svokru, že leží a má horúčku,
15 (UKJV) And he touched her hand, and the fever left her: and she arose, and ministered unto them.
15 (ROH) a dotknul sa jej ruky, a hneď ju opustila horúčka, a vstala a posluhovala im.
16 (UKJV) When the even was come, they brought unto him many that were possessed with devils: and he cast out the spirits (o. pneuma) with his word, (o. logos) and healed all that were sick:
16 (ROH) A keď bol večer, priviedli mu mnohých posadlých démonami, a on slovom vyhnal nečistých duchov a všetkých, ktorí sa zle mali, uzdravil,
17 (UKJV) That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Isaiah the prophet, saying, Himself took our infirmities, and bare our sicknesses.
17 (ROH) aby sa naplnilo, čo bolo povedané skrze proroka Izaiáša, ktorý povedal: On vzal naše nemoci a naše neduhy niesol.
18 (UKJV) Now when Jesus saw great multitudes about him, he gave commandment to depart unto the other side.
18 (ROH) A Ježiš vidiac mnohé zástupy okolo seba rozkázal preplaviť sa na druhú stranu.
19 (UKJV) And a certain scribe came, and said unto him, Master, I will follow you anywhere you go.
19 (ROH) A pristúpil nejaký zákonník a povedal mu: Učiteľu, pojdem za tebou, kamkoľvek pojdeš.
20 (UKJV) "And Jesus says unto him, The foxes have holes, and the birds of the air have nests; but the Son of man has not where to lay his head. "
20 (ROH) A Ježiš mu povedal: Líšky majú svoje skrýše a nebeskí vtáci svoje hniezda, ale Syn človeka nemá, kde by hlavu sklonil.
21 (UKJV) And another of his disciples said unto him, Lord, suffer me first to go and bury my father.
21 (ROH) A iný z jeho učeníkov mu povedal: Pane, dovoľ mi najprv odísť a pochovať svojho otca.
22 (UKJV) "But Jesus said unto him, Follow me; and let the dead bury their dead. "
22 (ROH) Ale Ježiš mu povedal: Poď za mnou a nechaj, nech mŕtvi pochovajú svojich mŕtvych.
23 (UKJV) And when he was entered into a ship, his disciples followed him.
23 (ROH) A keď vstúpil do lode, išli za ním jeho učeníci.
24 (UKJV) And, behold, there arose a great tempest in the sea, insomuch that the ship was covered with the waves: but he was asleep.
24 (ROH) A hľa, veliká búrka povstala na mori, takže vlny prikrývaly loď, a on spal.
25 (UKJV) And his disciples came to him, and awoke him, saying, Lord, save us: we perish.
25 (ROH) A pristúpiac jeho učeníci zobudili ho a hovorili: Pane, zachráň nás, hynieme!
26 (UKJV) "And he says unto them, Why are all of you fearful, O all of you of little faith? Then he arose, and rebuked the winds and the sea; and there was a great calm. "
26 (ROH) A on im povedal: Čo sa bojíte, ľudia malej viery? Vtedy vstal, pohrozil vetrom a moru, a nastalo veliké ticho.
27 (UKJV) But the men marvelled, saying, What manner of man is this, that even the winds and the sea obey him!
27 (ROH) A ľudia sa divili a vraveli: Jaký je toto človek, že ho i vetry i more poslúchajú?
28 (UKJV) And when he was come to the other side into the country of the Gergesenes, there met him two possessed with devils, coming out of the tombs, exceeding fierce, so that no man might pass by that way.
28 (ROH) A keď prišiel na druhú stranu, do zeme Gergežanov, stretli sa s ním dvaja posadlí démonami; išli z hrobov, strašní náramne, takže nikto nemohol prejsť tou cestou popri nich.
29 (UKJV) And, behold, they cried out, saying, What have we to do with you, Jesus, you Son of God? are you come here to torment us before the time?
29 (ROH) A hľa, kričali a hovorili: Čo máme s tebou, Ježišu, Synu Boží? Prišiel si sem pred časom nás trápiť?
30 (UKJV) And there was a good way off from them an herd of many swine feeding.
30 (ROH) A bolo opodiaľ od nich veliké stádo svíň pasúce sa.
31 (UKJV) So the devils besought him, saying, If you cast us out, suffer us to go away into the herd of swine.
31 (ROH) A démoni ho prosili a hovorili: Jestli nás vyháňaš, dovoľ nám odísť do toho stáda svíň!
32 (UKJV) And he said unto them, Go. And when they were come out, they went into the herd of swine: and, behold, the whole herd of swine ran violently down a steep place into the sea, and perished in the waters.
32 (ROH) A povedal im: Iďte! A oni vyjdúc odišli do svíň. A hľa, celé to stádo svíň sa srútilo dolu úbočím do mora, a zomrely potopiac sa vo vodách.
33 (UKJV) And they that kept them fled, and went their ways into the city, and told every thing, and what was befallen to the possessed of the devils.
33 (ROH) A pasáci utiekli a odíduc do mesta porozprávali všetko, aj o tých posadlých.
34 (UKJV) And, behold, the whole city came out to meet Jesus: and when they saw him, they besought him that he would depart out of their coasts.
34 (ROH) A tu hľa, vyšlo celé to mesto oproti Ježišovi, a keď ho videli, prosili ho, žeby odišiel z ich kraja.

And, behold, there came a leper and worshipped him, saying, Lord, if you will, you can make me clean.
Mk 1:40 - And there came a leper to him, beseeching him, and kneeling down to him, and saying unto him, If you will, you can make me clean.
Lk 5:12 - And it came to pass, when he was in a certain city, behold a man full of leprosy: who seeing Jesus fell on his face, and besought him, saying, Lord, if you will, you can make me clean.

"And Jesus says unto him, See you tell no man; but go your way, show yourself to the priest, and offer the gift that Moses commanded, for a testimony unto them. "
Lk 5:14 - And he charged him to tell no man: but go, and show yourself to the priest, and offer for your cleansing, according as Moses commanded, for a testimony unto them.
Lv 13:2 - "When a man shall have in the skin of his flesh a rising, a scab, or bright spot, and it be in the skin of his flesh like the plague of leprosy; then he shall be brought unto Aaron the priest, or unto one of his sons the priests: "

And when Jesus was entered into Capernaum, there came unto him a centurion, beseeching him,

The centurion answered and said, Lord, I am not worthy that you should come under my roof: but speak the word (o. logos) only, and my servant shall be healed.

And, behold, the whole city came out to meet Jesus: and when they saw him, they besought him that he would depart out of their coasts.

That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Isaiah the prophet, saying, Himself took our infirmities, and bare our sicknesses.
Iz 53:4 - Surely he has borne our sicknesses, and carried our pains: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted.
1Pt 2:24 - Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes all of you were healed.

And a certain scribe came, and said unto him, Master, I will follow you anywhere you go.

Mk 4:35 - And the same day, when the even was come, he says unto them, Let us pass over unto the other side.
Lk 8:22 - Now it came to pass on a certain day, that he went into a ship with his disciples: and he said unto them, Let us go over unto the other side of the lake. And they launched forth.

"And he says unto them, Why are all of you fearful, O all of you of little faith? Then he arose, and rebuked the winds and the sea; and there was a great calm. "
Jób 26:12 - He divides the sea with his power, and by his understanding he strikes through the proud.
Ž 107:29 - He makes the storm a calm, so that the waves thereof are still.
Iz 51:10 - "Are you not it which has dried the sea, the waters of the great deep; that has made the depths of the sea a way for the ransomed to pass over? "

And when he was come to the other side into the country of the Gergesenes, there met him two possessed with devils, coming out of the tombs, exceeding fierce, so that no man might pass by that way.
Mk 5:1 - And they came over unto the other side of the sea, into the country of the Gadarenes.
Lk 8:26 - And they arrived at the country of the Gadarenes, which is opposite to Galilee.
Mt 8,1-4 - Mk 1, 40–45; Lk 5, 12–14.
Mt 8,4 - Lv 14, 2–32.Ježiš na začiatku svojej činnosti nechce, aby sa zvesť o jeho zázračných činoch priveľmi šírila. Ľud sa mal postupne presvedčiť o jeho božskom poslaní a mal zmeniť aj svoje nesprávne pozemské náhľady na mesiášske kráľovstvo.
Mt 8,5-13 - Lk 7,1–10; 13,28–29.
Mt 8,12 - "Synovia kráľovstva" sú členovia vyvolené- ho národa, ktorí svojou zaťatosťou, nepoddajnosťou a odporom proti Ježišovi stratili prednostné právo (Lk 13,28–29). Radosti neba znázorňuje Kristus obrazom hostiny, ktorá bývala večer v osvetlenej miestnosti.
Mt 8,14-17 - Mk 1,29–32. 34; Lk 4,38–40.
Mt 8,17 - Iz 53,4.
Mt 8,18-22 - Lk 9,57–60.
Mt 8,20 - "Syn človeka" je mesiášsky názov, ktorým Ježiš u Mt 33-krát označuje sám seba. Neznamená len toľko, že Ježiš je pravý človek, ale podľa Daniela (7, 13) týmto názvom sa vyjadruje aj Ježišov nebeský pôvod, ako aj jeho večná sláva a vláda.
Mt 8,23-27 - Mk 4,35–41; Lk 8,22–25.
Mt 8,28-34 - Mk 5,1–20; Lk 8,26–39.
Mt 8,28 - Kraj Gadary (alebo Gerazy) treba hľadať v Dekapole na východnom pobreží Genezaretského jazera. Obyvatelia boli pohania a tí mohli chovať svine.
Mt 8,29 - "Predčasne," – t. j. ešte pred posledným súdom, keď budú definitívne vrhnutí do pekla.
