Evanjelium podľa Matúša

1 (HEM) אז נשא הרוח את ישוע המדברה למען ינסהו השטן׃
1 (UKJV) Then was Jesus led up of the spirit (o. pneuma) into the wilderness to be tempted of the devil.

2 (HEM) ויהי אחרי צומו ארבעים יום וארבעים לילה וירעב׃
2 (UKJV) And when he had fasted forty days and forty nights, he was afterward an hungered.

3 (HEM) ויגש אליו המנסה ויאמר אם בן האלהים אתה אמר לאבנים האלה ותהיין ללחם׃
3 (UKJV) And when the tempter came to him, he said, If you be the Son of God, command that these stones be made bread.

4 (HEM) ויען ויאמר הן כתוב לא על הלחם לבדו יחיה האדם כי על כל מוצא פי יי׃
4 (UKJV) But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word (o. rhema) that proceeds out of the mouth of God.

5 (HEM) וישאהו השטן אל עיר הקדש ויעמידהו על פנת בית המקדש׃
5 (UKJV) Then the devil takes him up into the holy city, and sets him on a pinnacle of the temple,

6 (HEM) ויאמר אליו אם בן האלהים אתה התנפל למטה כי כתוב כי מלאכיו יצוה לך ועל כפים ישאונך פן תגף באבן רגלך׃
6 (UKJV) And says unto him, If you be the Son of God, cast yourself down: for it is written, He shall give his angels charge concerning you: and in their hands they shall bear you up, lest at any time you dash your foot against a stone.

7 (HEM) ויאמר אליו ישוע ועוד כתוב לא תנסה את יהוה אלהיך׃
7 (UKJV) Jesus said unto him, It is written again, You shall not tempt the Lord your God.

8 (HEM) ויוסף השטן וישאהו אל הר גבה מאד ויראהו את כל ממלכות תבל וכבודן׃
8 (UKJV) "Again, the devil takes him up into an exceeding high mountain, and shows him all the kingdoms of the world, and the glory of them; "

9 (HEM) ויאמר אליו את כל זאת לך אתננה אם תקד ותשתחוה לי׃
9 (UKJV) And says unto him, All these things will I give you, if you will fall down and worship me.

10 (HEM) ויאמר אליו ישוע סור ממני השטן כי כתוב ליהוה אלהיך תשתחוה ואותו לבדו תעבד׃
10 (UKJV) Then says Jesus unto him, Get you behind, Satan: for it is written, You shall worship the Lord your God, and him only shall you serve.

11 (HEM) וירף ממנו השטן והנה נגשו אליו מלאכים וישרתוהו׃
11 (UKJV) Then the devil left him, and, behold, angels came and ministered unto him.

12 (HEM) ויהי כשמעו כי הסגירו את יוחנן וילך לו ארץ הגליל׃
12 (UKJV) "Now when Jesus had heard that John was cast into prison, he departed into Galilee; "

13 (HEM) ויעזב את נצרת ויבא וישב בכפר נחום אשר על שפת הים בגבול זבלון ונפתלי׃
13 (UKJV) And leaving Nazareth, he came and dwelt in Capernaum, which is upon the sea coast, in the borders of Zabulon and Nephthalim:

14 (HEM) למלאת הנאמר על פי ישעיהו הנביא לאמר׃
14 (UKJV) That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Isaiah the prophet, saying,

15 (HEM) ארצה זבלון וארצה נפתלי דרך הים עבר הירדן גליל הגוים׃
15 (UKJV) "The land of Zabulon, and the land of Nephthalim, by the way of the sea, beyond Jordan, Galilee of the Gentiles; "

16 (HEM) העם ההלכים בחשך ראו אור גדול וישבי בארץ צלמות אור נגה עליהם׃
16 (UKJV) "The people which sat in darkness saw great light; and to them which sat in the region and shadow of death light is sprung up. "

17 (HEM) מן העת ההיא החל ישוע לקרא קרוא ואמור שובו כי הגיעה מלכות השמים׃
17 (UKJV) From that time Jesus began to preach, and to say, Repent: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.

18 (HEM) ויהי בהתהלכו על יד ים הגליל וירא שני אנשים אחים את שמעון הנקרא פטרוס ואת אנדרי אחיו והמה משליכים מצודה בים כי דיגים היו׃
18 (UKJV) And Jesus, walking by the sea of Galilee, saw two brethren, Simon called Peter, and Andrew his brother, casting a net into the sea: for they were fishers.

19 (HEM) ויאמר אליהם לכו אחרי ואשימכם לדיגי אנשים׃
19 (UKJV) And he says unto them, Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men.

20 (HEM) ויעזבו מהרה את המכמרות וילכו אחריו׃
20 (UKJV) And they immediately left their nets, and followed him.

21 (HEM) ויהי כעברו משם וירא שני אנשים אחים אחרים את יעקב בן זבדי ואת יוחנן אחיו באניה עם זבדי אביהם מתקנים את מכמרותם ויקרא אליהם׃
21 (UKJV) "And going on from thence, he saw other two brethren, James the son of Zebedee, and John his brother, in a ship with Zebedee their father, mending their nets; and he called them. "

22 (HEM) ויעזבו מיד את האניה ואת אביהם וילכו אחריו׃
22 (UKJV) And they immediately left the ship and their father, and followed him.

23 (HEM) ויסב ישוע בכל הגליל וילמד בבתי כנסיותיהם ויבשר בשורת המלכות וירפא כל מחלה וכל מדוה בעם׃
23 (UKJV) And Jesus went about all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing all manner of sickness and all manner of disease among the people.

24 (HEM) ויצא שמעו בכל ארץ סוריא ויביאו אליו את כל החולים המענים בכל חלים ומכאובים ואחוזי שדים ומכי ירח ונכי אברים וירפאם׃
24 (UKJV) "And his fame went throughout all Syria: and they brought unto him all sick people that were taken with divers diseases and torments, and those which were possessed with devils, and those which were lunatic, and those that had the palsy; and he healed them. "

25 (HEM) וילכו אחריו המנים המנים מן הגליל ומן עשר הערים ומירושלים ויהודה ומעבר לירדן׃
25 (UKJV) And there followed him great multitudes of people from Galilee, and from Decapolis, and from Jerusalem, and from Judaea, and from beyond Jordan.
