In that day, Jesus, departing from the house, sat down beside the sea.
Mk 4:1 - And again, he began to teach by the sea. And a great crowd was gathered to him, so much so that, climbing into a boat, he was seated on the sea. And the entire crowd was on the land along the sea.
Lk 8:4 - Then, when a very numerous crowd was gathering together and hurrying from the cities to him, he spoke using a comparison:

And such great crowds were gathered to him that he climbed into a boat and he sat down. And the entire multitude stood on the shore.
Lk 5:3 - And so, climbing into one of the boats, which belonged to Simon, he asked him to draw back a little from the land. And sitting down, he taught the crowds from the boat.

And his disciples drew near to him and said, “Why do you speak to them in parables?”
Mk 4:10 - And when he was alone, the twelve, who were with him, questioned him about the parable.

Responding, he said to them: “Because it has been given to you to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, but it has not been given to them.

For whoever has, it shall be given to him, and he shall have in abundance. But whoever has not, even what he has shall be taken away from him.
Mt 25:29 - For to everyone who has, more shall be given, and he shall have in abundance. But from him who has not, even what he seems to have, shall be taken away.
Mk 4:24 - And he said to them: “Consider what you hear. With whatever measure you have measured out, it shall be measured back to you, and more shall be added to you.
Lk 8:18 - Therefore, take care how you listen. For whoever has, it will be given to him; and whoever does not have, even what he thinks he has will be taken away from him.”

And so, in them is fulfilled the prophecy of Isaiah, who said, ‘Hearing, you shall hear, but not understand; and seeing, you shall see, but not perceive.
Iz 6:9 - And he said: “Go forth! And you shall say to this people: ‘When you listen, you will hear and not understand. And when you see a vision, you will not comprehend.’
Mk 4:12 - ‘so that, seeing, they may see, and not perceive; and hearing, they may hear, and not understand; lest at any time they may be converted, and their sins would be forgiven them.’ ”
Lk 8:10 - And he said to them: “To you it has been given to know the mystery of the kingdom of God. But to the rest, it is in parables, so that: seeing, they may not perceive, and hearing, they may not understand.
Jn 12:40 - “He has blinded their eyes, and hardened their heart, so that they may not see with their eyes, and understand with their heart, and be converted: and then I would heal them.”
Sk 28:26 - saying: ‘Go to this people and say to them: Hearing, you shall hear and not understand, and seeing, you shall see and not perceive.
Rim 11:8 - just as it was written: “God has given them a spirit of reluctance: eyes that do not perceive, and ears that do not hear, even until this very day.”

But blessed are your eyes, because they see, and your ears, because they hear.

Verš 17
Amen I say to you, certainly, that many of the prophets and the just desired to see what you see, and yet they did not see it, and to hear what you hear, and yet they did not hear it.

Listen, then, to the parable of the sower.
Mk 4:13 - And he said to them: “Do you not understand this parable? And so, how will you understand all the parables?
Lk 8:11 - Now the parable is this: The seed is the word of God.

With anyone who hears the word of the kingdom and does not understand it, evil comes and carries away what was sown in his heart. This is he who received the seed by the side of the road.
Mt 4:23 - And Jesus traveled throughout all of Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the Gospel of the kingdom, and healing every sickness and every infirmity among the people.

And whoever has received the seed among thorns, this is he who hears the word, but the cares of this age and the falseness of riches suffocate the word, and he is effectively without fruit.
Mt 19:23 - Then Jesus said to his disciples: “Amen, I say to you, that the wealthy shall enter with difficulty into the kingdom of heaven.
Mk 10:23 - And Jesus, looking around, said to his disciples, “How difficult it is for those who have riches to enter into the kingdom of God!”
Lk 18:24 - Then Jesus, seeing him brought to sorrow, said: “How difficult it is for those who have money to enter into the kingdom of God!
1Tim 6:9 - For those who want to become rich fall into temptation and into the snare of the devil and into many useless and harmful desires, which submerge men in destruction and in perdition.

Permit both to grow until the harvest, and at the time of the harvest, I will say to the reapers: Gather first the weeds, and bind them into bundles to burn, but the wheat gather into my storehouse.’ ”
Mt 3:12 - His winnowing fan is in his hand. And he will thoroughly cleanse his threshing floor. And he will gather his wheat into the barn. But the chaff he will burn with unquenchable fire.”

He proposed another parable to them, saying: “The kingdom of heaven is like a grain of mustard seed, which a man took and sowed in his field.
Mk 4:30 - And he said: “To what should we compare the kingdom of God? Or to what parable should we compare it?
Lk 13:18 - And so he said: “To what is the kingdom of God similar, and to what figure shall I compare it?

He spoke another parable to them: “The kingdom of heaven is like leaven, which a woman took and hid in three measures of fine wheat flour, until it was entirely leavened.”

All these things Jesus spoke in parables to the crowds. And he did not speak to them apart from parables,

in order to fulfill what was spoken through the prophet, saying: “I will open my mouth in parables. I will proclaim what has been hidden since the foundation of the world.”

So the enemy who sowed them is the devil. And truly, the harvest is the consummation of the age; while the reapers are the Angels.

And he shall cast them into the furnace of fire, where there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.
Mt 8:12 - But the sons of the kingdom shall be cast into the outer darkness, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.”
Mt 22:13 - Then the king said to the ministers: ‘Bind his hands and feet, and cast him into the outer darkness, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.
Mt 24:51 - And he shall separate him, and he shall place his portion with the hypocrites, where there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.”
Mt 25:30 - And cast that useless servant into the outer darkness, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.’

Then the just ones shall shine like the sun, in the kingdom of their Father. Whoever has ears to hear, let him hear.
Dan 12:3 - But those who have taught will shine like the brightness of the firmament, and those who instruct many towards justice, like the stars for unending eternity.
1Kor 15:42 - So it is also with the resurrection of the dead. What is sown in corruption shall rise to incorruption.
Verš 44
The kingdom of heaven is like a treasure hidden in a field. When a man finds it, he hides it, and, because of his joy, he goes and sells everything that he has, and he buys that field.

Is this not the son of a workman? Is not his mother called Mary, and his brothers, James, and Joseph, and Simon, and Jude?

Mt 13,3 - Podobenstvo je literárny útvar, charakteristický pre evanjeliá. Je to príbeh, udalosť, najčastejšie zo života človeka, pomocou ktorého Ježiš vysvetľuje nadprirodzenú pravdu. Pre podobenstvo je príznačné, že vyzýva poslucháča, aby sa nad ním zamyslel a porovnal s ním svoj život.

Mt 13,14-15 - Iz 6, 9–10.
Mt 13,16 - Lk 10, 23–24.
Mt 13,18-23 - Mk 4, 13–20; Lk 8, 11–15.
Mt 13,24-30 - Podobenstvo o kúkoli má iba Mt. Odpovedá v ňom na otázku o pôvode zla a o zmysle zla v Cirkvi a vo svete.
Mt 13,31-32 - Mk 4, 30–32; Lk 13, 18–19.
Mt 13,31 - Podobenstvo o vzraste horčičného zrnka znázorňuje rozvoj Božieho kráľovstva na svete od skromných začiatkov až po celosvetovú veľkosť.
Mt 13,33 - Lk 13, 20–21.Cirkev sa nemá len rozšíriť po svete, ale má premeniť najmä vnútorné zmýšľanie ľudí, aby boli Božími deťmi. Podobenstvo vyjadruje vnútornú silu evanjelia. "Miera" je 13,09 l.
Mt 13,34 - Mk 4, 34–35.
Mt 13,35 - Ž 78, 2.
Mt 13,36-43 - Boh trpí na tomto svete dobrých i zlých ľudí a tak to bude až do posledného súdu. Vtedy sa konečne všetko roztriedi. Týmto podobenstvom Kristus poúča, že v jeho Cirkvi budú aj hriešni členovia; ukazuje sa tu božská zhovievavosť, ktorou Boh trpí hriešnikov a dáva im čas na pokánie.
Mt 13,47-50 - Podobenstvo o rybárskej sieti znázorňuje, aký osud čaká dobrých a zlých členov Cirkvi na konci sveta.
Mt 13,53-58 - Mk 6, 1–6; Lk 4, 16. 24.
Mt 13,55-56 - O Ježišových "bratoch" pozri poznámku k 12, 46. Tu spomínané Ježišove "sestry" boli podobne ako "bratia" jeho príbuznými.
Mt 13,58 - Ježiš nekonal zázraky na želanie ľudí. Každý jeho zázrak bol znamením spásy. Konaním zázrakov dokazoval ľuďom, že v ňom sa priblížila spása. Preto na jednej strane sa žiada viera u toho, na kom mal vykonať zázrak, na druhej strane túto vieru zázrakmi udeľoval a zväčšoval. Nerobil preto zázraky tam, kde ho vopred svojou neverou odmietali.
