1 (UKJV) "Now the children of Reuben and the children of Gad had a very great multitude of cattle: and when they saw the land of Jazer, and the land of Gilead, that, behold, the place was a place for cattle; "
1 (KAT) Rubenovi a Gadovi synovia mali veľa, veľmi veľa dobytka. Keď videli, že kraje Jazera a kraje Galaádu sú vhodným miestom pre dobytok,
2 (UKJV) The children of Gad and the children of Reuben came and spoke unto Moses, and to Eleazar the priest, and unto the princes of the congregation, saying,
2 (KAT) Gadovi a Rubenovi synovia prišli a povedali Mojžišovi, kňazovi Eleazarovi a kniežatám ľudu:
3 (UKJV) Ataroth, and Dibon, and Jazer, and Nimrah, and Heshbon, and Elealeh, and Shebam, and Nebo, and Beon,
3 (KAT) „Atarot, Dibon, Nemra, Hesebon, Eleale, Saban, Nebo a Beon,
4 (UKJV) Even the country which the LORD stroke before the congregation of Israel, is a land for cattle, and your servants have cattle:
4 (KAT) kraje, ktoré Pán dobyl pred izraelskou pospolitosťou, sú výhodné na chov dobytka a tvoji služobníci majú dobytok.“
5 (UKJV) Wherefore, said they, if we have found grace in your sight, let this land be given unto your servants for a possession, and bring us not over Jordan.
5 (KAT) A dodali: „Ak sme našli milosť v tvojich očiach, nech sa nám, tvojim služobníkom, pridelí táto krajina ako dedičný majetok. Nežiadaj, aby sme prešli cez Jordán!“
6 (UKJV) And Moses said unto the children of Gad and to the children of Reuben, Shall your brethren go to war, and shall all of you sit here?
6 (KAT) Mojžiš však odvrával Gadovým synom a Rubenovým synom: „Vaši bratia majú teda tiahnuť do boja a vy si budete tu odpočívať?!
7 (UKJV) And wherefore discourage all of you the heart of the children of Israel from going over into the land which the LORD has given them?
7 (KAT) Prečo oslabujete odvahu Izraelitov prejsť do krajiny, ktorú im dáva Pán?
8 (UKJV) Thus did your fathers, when I sent them from Kadeshbarnea to see the land.
8 (KAT) Takto to robili aj vaši otcovia, keď som poslal z Kadešbarny preskúmať zem!
9 (UKJV) For when they went up unto the valley of Eshcol, and saw the land, they discouraged the heart of the children of Israel, that they should not go into the land which the LORD had given them.
9 (KAT) Došli až do údolia Eskol, poprezerali krajinu, a potom podlomili odvahu Izraelitov tak, že nechceli ísť do krajiny, ktorú im dal Pán.
10 (UKJV) And the LORD's anger was kindled the same time, and he swore, saying,
10 (KAT) Vtedy sa Pán rozhneval a prisahal:
11 (UKJV) "Surely none of the men that came up out of Egypt, from twenty years old and upward, shall see the land which I swore unto Abraham, unto Isaac, and unto Jacob; because they have not wholly followed me: "
11 (KAT) »Mužovia, ktorí vyšli z Egypta, od dvadsiatich rokov nahor, neuvidia krajinu, ktorú som prísahou prisľúbil Abrahámovi, Izákovi a Jakubovi, lebo ma nepočúvali,
12 (UKJV) Save Caleb the son of Jephunneh the Kenezite, and Joshua the son of Nun: for they have wholly followed the LORD.
12 (KAT) okrem Jefonovho syna, Kenezejca Kaleba a Nunovho syna Jozueho, lebo oni mi ostali poslušní.«
13 (UKJV) And the LORD's anger was kindled against Israel, and he made them wander in the wilderness forty years, until all the generation, that had done evil in the sight of the LORD, was consumed.
13 (KAT) Vtedy sa Pán rozhneval na Izrael a nechal ich blúdiť štyridsať rokov po púšti, kým nevyhynulo celé pokolenie, ktoré sa previnilo v Pánových očiach.
14 (UKJV) And, behold, all of you are risen up in your fathers' position, an increase of sinful men, to augment yet the fierce anger of the LORD toward Israel.
14 (KAT) A teraz ste vy nastúpili na miesto svojich otcov, vy novokvet hriešnikov, aby ste ešte viac rozmnožili Pánov hnev na Izrael.
15 (UKJV) "For if all of you turn away from after him, he will yet again leave them in the wilderness; and all of you shall destroy all this people. "
15 (KAT) Ak sa od neho odvrátite, ponechá vás ešte dlhšie na púšti a vy budete príčinou záhuby všetkého tohto ľudu.“
16 (UKJV) And they came near unto him, and said, We will build sheepfolds here for our cattle, and cities for our little ones:
16 (KAT) Tu oni pristúpili k nemu a povedali mu: „Postavíme si iba stajne pre svoj dobytok a mestá pre svoje rodiny.
17 (UKJV) But we ourselves will go ready armed before the children of Israel, until we have brought them unto their place: and our little ones shall dwell in the fenced cities because of the inhabitants of the land.
17 (KAT) My však pôjdeme vystrojení do boja na čele Izraelitov, kým ich neuvedieme do ich bydlísk. Zatiaľ naše ženy a deti ostanú v opevnených mestách, aby boli isté pred obyvateľmi kraja.
18 (UKJV) We will not return unto our houses, until the children of Israel have inherited every man his inheritance.
18 (KAT) Do svojich domovov sa nevrátime dovtedy, kým nedostane každý Izraelita svoj dedičný majetok.
19 (UKJV) "For we will not inherit with them on yonder side Jordan, or forward; because our inheritance is fallen to us on this side Jordan eastward. "
19 (KAT) Lebo my si nenárokujeme dedičný majetok s nimi za Jordánom, keď sme dostali svoj dedičný podiel z tejto strany Jordánu.“
20 (UKJV) And Moses said unto them, If all of you will do this thing, if all of you will go armed before the LORD to war,
20 (KAT) Tu im Mojžiš povedal: „Ak to naozaj urobíte, ak sa ozbrojíte a pôjdete pred Pánom do boja
21 (UKJV) And will go all of you armed over Jordan before the LORD, until he has driven out his enemies from before him,
21 (KAT) a každý z vás prejde ozbrojený pred Pánom cez Jordán, kým spred seba nevyženie svojich nepriateľov,
22 (UKJV) "And the land be subdued before the LORD: then afterward all of you shall return, and be guiltless before the LORD, and before Israel; and this land shall be your possession before the LORD. "
22 (KAT) a vrátite sa len potom, keď bude krajina s Pánovou pomocou zaujatá, budete voľní voči Pánovi a voči Izraelu a tento kraj sa vám pridelí pred Pánom za dedičný majetok.
23 (UKJV) But if all of you will not do so, behold, all of you have sinned against the LORD: and be sure your sin will find you out.
23 (KAT) Ak sa však nezachováte tak, previníte sa proti Pánovi a vedzte, že váš hriech vás dochytí.
24 (UKJV) "Build you cities for your little ones, and folds for your sheep; and do that which has proceeded out of your mouth. "
24 (KAT) Stavajte si teda mestá pre svoje rodiny a svoje stáda, ale splňte aj to; čo ste sľúbili!“
25 (UKJV) And the children of Gad and the children of Reuben spoke unto Moses, saying, Your servants will do as my lord commands.
25 (KAT) Gadovci a Rubenovci odpovedali Mojžišovi: „Tvoji sluhovia, pane, urobia, čo prikazuješ.
26 (UKJV) Our little ones, our wives, our flocks, and all our cattle, shall be there in the cities of Gilead:
26 (KAT) Naše deti, naše ženy, naše stáda a všetok náš dobytok ostane tu v galaádskych mestách,
27 (UKJV) But your servants will pass over, every man armed for war, before the LORD to battle, as my lord says.
27 (KAT) tvoji sluhovia však pôjdu všetci vystrojení na boj pred Pánom, ako ty, pane, hovoríš.“
28 (UKJV) So concerning them Moses commanded Eleazar the priest, and Joshua the son of Nun, and the chief fathers of the tribes of the children of Israel:
28 (KAT) Potom dal Mojžiš o nich príkaz kňazovi Eleazarovi, Nunovmu synovi Jozuemu i náčelníkom izraelských kmeňov.
29 (UKJV) "And Moses said unto them, If the children of Gad and the children of Reuben will pass with you over Jordan, every man armed to battle, before the LORD, and the land shall be subdued before you; then all of you shall give them the land of Gilead for a possession: "
29 (KAT) Mojžiš im povedal: „Ak Gadovi a Rubenovi synovia prekročia s vami Jordán - všetci prichystaní do boja -, aby bojovali pred Pánom, keď vám bude krajina podrobená, dajte im územie Galaád za dedičný majetok!
30 (UKJV) But if they will not pass over with you armed, they shall have possessions among you in the land of Canaan.
30 (KAT) Ale ak nepôjdu s vami vychystaní na boj, potom nech sa osadia medzi vami v kanaánskej krajine!“
31 (UKJV) And the children of Gad and the children of Reuben answered, saying, As the LORD has said unto your servants, so will we do.
31 (KAT) Gadovi a Rubenovi synovia odpovedali: „Urobíme, čo Pán prikázal tvojim služobníkom,
32 (UKJV) We will pass over armed before the LORD into the land of Canaan, that the possession of our inheritance on this side Jordan may be ours.
32 (KAT) pôjdeme vyzbrojení pred Pánom do krajiny Kanaán, aby sme dostali dedičný majetok za Jordánom.“
33 (UKJV) And Moses gave unto them, even to the children of Gad, and to the children of Reuben, and unto half the tribe of Manasseh the son of Joseph, the kingdom of Sihon king of the Amorites, and the kingdom of Og king of Bashan, the land, with the cities thereof in the coasts, even the cities of the country round about.
33 (KAT) Mojžiš dal teda Gadovým synom, Rubenovým synom a polovici kmeňa Jozefovho syna Manassesa kráľovstvo amorejského kráľa Sehona a kráľovstvo bášanského kráľa Oga: územie s mestami a okolím, i mestá okolitej krajiny.
34 (UKJV) And the children of Gad built Dibon, and Ataroth, and Aroer,
34 (KAT) Gadovi synovia potom postavili Dibon, Atarot, Araoer,
35 (UKJV) And Atroth, Shophan, and Jaazer, and Jogbehah,
35 (KAT) Etrot-Sofan, Jazer, Jegban,
36 (UKJV) And Bethnimrah, and Bethharan, fenced cities: and folds for sheep.
36 (KAT) Betnemru, Betaran, pevné mestá a stajne pre stáda.
37 (UKJV) And the children of Reuben built Heshbon, and Elealeh, and Kirjathaim,
37 (KAT) Rubenovi synovia postavili Hesebon, Eleale, Karjatain,
38 (UKJV) And Nebo, and Baalmeon, (their names being changed,) and Shibmah: and gave other names unto the cities which they built.
38 (KAT) Nabo, Balmeon - so zmenenými menami - a Sabamu. A mestám, ktoré postavili, dali mená.
39 (UKJV) And the children of Machir the son of Manasseh went to Gilead, and took it, and dispossessed the Amorite which was in it.
39 (KAT) Tu synovia Manassesovho syna Machira tiahli do Galaádu, zaujali ho a vyhnali Amorejčanov, čo tam bývali.
40 (UKJV) "And Moses gave Gilead unto Machir the son of Manasseh; and he dwelt therein. "
40 (KAT) Mojžiš pridelil Galaád Manassesovmu synovi Machirovi a on sa tam osadil.
41 (UKJV) And Jair the son of Manasseh went and took the small towns thereof, and called them Havothjair.
41 (KAT) Manassesov syn Jair tiež vytiahol do boja, zaujal ich stanové dediny a nazval ich Havot-Jair.
42 (UKJV) And Nobah went and took Kenath, and the villages thereof, and called it Nobah, after his own name.
42 (KAT) Podobne vytiahol aj Nobe a zaujal Kanat aj s jeho dedinami a pomenoval ho podľa svojho mena Nobe.

Verš 8
Thus did your fathers, when I sent them from Kadeshbarnea to see the land.
Nm 13:3 - And Moses by the commandment of the LORD sent them from the wilderness of Paran: all those men were heads of the children of Israel.
Dt 1:22 - And all of you came near unto me every one of you, and said, We will send men before us, and they shall search us out the land, and bring us word again by what way we must go up, and into what cities we shall come.
Verš 33
And Moses gave unto them, even to the children of Gad, and to the children of Reuben, and unto half the tribe of Manasseh the son of Joseph, the kingdom of Sihon king of the Amorites, and the kingdom of Og king of Bashan, the land, with the cities thereof in the coasts, even the cities of the country round about.
Dt 3:12 - And this land, which we possessed at that time, from Aroer, which is by the river Arnon, and half mount Gilead, and the cities thereof, gave I unto the Reubenites and to the Gadites.
Joz 13:8 - "With whom the Reubenites and the Gadites have received their inheritance, which Moses gave them, beyond Jordan eastward, even as Moses the servant of the LORD gave them; "
Joz 22:4 - And now the LORD your God has given rest unto your brethren, as he promised them: therefore now return all of you, and get you unto your tents, and unto the land of your possession, which Moses the servant of the LORD gave you on the other side Jordan.

"Surely none of the men that came up out of Egypt, from twenty years old and upward, shall see the land which I swore unto Abraham, unto Isaac, and unto Jacob; because they have not wholly followed me: "
Nm 14:28 - Say unto them, As truly as I live, says the LORD, as all of you have spoken in mine ears, so will I do to you:
Dt 1:35 - Surely there shall not one of these men of this evil generation see that good land, which I swore to give unto your fathers.

So concerning them Moses commanded Eleazar the priest, and Joshua the son of Nun, and the chief fathers of the tribes of the children of Israel:
Joz 1:13 - Remember the word which Moses the servant of the LORD commanded you, saying, The LORD your God has given you rest, and has given you this land.
Joz 4:12 - And the children of Reuben, and the children of Gad, and half the tribe of Manasseh, passed over armed before the children of Israel, as Moses spoke unto them:
Verš 39
And the children of Machir the son of Manasseh went to Gilead, and took it, and dispossessed the Amorite which was in it.
Gn 50:23 - And Joseph saw Ephraim's children of the third generation: the children also of Machir the son of Manasseh were brought up upon Joseph's knees.
Nm 32,1 - Jazer (21,24.32) malo by sa hľadať na mieste dnešného Chirbet Sár. Jazer bolo pohraničné opevnené mesto Amonitov. O Galaáde pozri Gn 31,21. Galaád je územie za Jordánom v dnešnom Zajordánsku. Rozprestieralo sa medzi riekami Arnonom na juhu a Jarmukom na severe.
Nm 32,6-15 - Eskol, porov. 13,24. Kaleb bol z kmeňa Júdovho 13,7. K vv. 10–12 porov. 14,28 n.
Nm 32,21-22 - Pred Pánom, t. j. pred archou, na ktorej trónil Pán. Na pochode išli Rubenovci, Gadovci a Simeonovci pred archou (10,18–21).
Nm 32,39-42 - Uvádza sa dôvod, prečo Mojžiš pridelil polovici kmeňa Manassesovho územie v Za jordánsku: Manassesovci dobyli mnohé mestá tejto krajiny. Mojžiš ich nechce preto ukrátiť v práve, ktoré majú ako bojovníci na svoju korisť (21,32 n.).
Nm 32,41 - Havot-Jair, t. j. Jairove stanové dediny.
