Nm 32, 1-42

1 (CPDV) Now the sons of Ruben and of Gad had many herds, and their substance in cattle was inestimable. And when they had seen that the lands of Jazer and Gilead were suitable for feeding animals,
1 (ROH) A synovia Rúbenovi a synovia Gádovi mali mnoho dobytka, náramne mnoho. A keď videli zem Jazer a zem Gileád, že hľa, to miesto je príhodné miesto pre dobytok,

2 (CPDV) they went to Moses, and to Eleazar the priest and the leaders of the multitude, and they said:
2 (ROH) prišli synovia Gádovi a synovia Rúbenovi a riekli Mojžišovi a Eleazárovi, kňazovi, i kniežatám obce takto:

3 (CPDV) “Ataroth, and Dibon, and Jazer, and Nimrah, Heshbon, and Elealeh, and Sebam, and Nebo, and Beon,
3 (ROH) Atarót, Díbon, Jazer, Nimra, Chešbon, Elaleh, Sebám, Nébo a Beon,

4 (CPDV) the land, which the Lord has struck in the sight of the sons of Israel, is a very fertile region for pasturing animals. And we, your servants, have very many cattle.
4 (ROH) zem to, ktorú zbil Hospodin pred obcou Izraelovou, je zem príhodná pre dobytok, a tvoji služobníci majú dobytok.

5 (CPDV) And so we beseech you, if we have found favor before you, that you give it to us, your subjects, as a possession, and that you not cause us cross the Jordan.”
5 (ROH) A ešte riekli: Ak sme našli milosť v tvojich očiach, nech sa dá tá zem tvojim služobníkom do državia; nevoď nás za Jordán.

6 (CPDV) And Moses answered them: “Should your brothers go to battle, while you sit here?
6 (ROH) Na to riekol Mojžiš synom Gádovým a synom Rúbenovým: Či azda vaši bratia pojdú do boja, a vy budete tu sedieť?

7 (CPDV) Why do you subvert the minds of the sons of Israel, so that they might not dare to cross into the place which the Lord will give to them?
7 (ROH) Nuž prečo zdŕžate a odvraciate srdce synov Izraelových, aby neprešli do zeme, ktorú im dal Hospodin?

8 (CPDV) Did not your fathers act in 92 the same way, when I sent them from Kadesh-Barnea to explore the land?
8 (ROH) Tak urobili vaši otcovia, keď som ich bol poslal z Kádeš-barnee, aby prehliadli zem.

9 (CPDV) And when they had gone all the way to the Valley of the Cluster of Grapes, having viewed the entire region, they subverted the hearts of the sons of Israel, so that they would not enter into the parts that the Lord gave to them.
9 (ROH) Zašli hore až po dolinu Eškol a videli zem, zdržali a odvrátili srdce synov Izraelových, aby neišli do zeme, ktorú im dal Hospodin.

10 (CPDV) And being angry, the Lord swore an oath, saying:
10 (ROH) A preto sa toho dňa rozpálil hnev Hospodinov, takže prisahal povediac:

11 (CPDV) ‘These men, who ascended out of Egypt, from twenty years and above, will not see the land, which I have promised under an oath to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. For they were not willing to follow me,
11 (ROH) Prisahám, že mužovia, ktorí vyšli hore z Egypta vo veku od dvadsiatich rokov a vyše, neuvidia zeme, ktorú som prísahou zasľúbil Abrahámovi, Izákovi a Jakobovi, lebo ma nenasledovali cele,

12 (CPDV) except Caleb, the son of Jephunneh the Kenizzite, and Joshua the son of Nun; these have fulfilled my will.’
12 (ROH) krome Kálefa, syna Jefunneho, Kenezeja, a Jozuu, syna Núnovho, lebo cele nasledovali Hospodina.

13 (CPDV) And the Lord, being angry against Israel, led them in a course through the desert for forty years, until the entire generation, which had done evil in his sight, was consumed.

14 (CPDV) And behold,” he said, “you have risen up in the place of your fathers, the offshoots and the nurslings of sinful men, in order to augment the fury of the Lord against Israel.
14 (ROH) A hľa, vy ste nastúpili na miesto svojich otcov, plemä hriešnych mužov, aby ste ešte pridávali na páľu hnevu Hospodinovho proti Izraelovi,

15 (CPDV) But if you are not willing to follow him, he will leave the people behind in the wilderness, and you will have been the cause of all our deaths.”
15 (ROH) lebo sa odvraciate zpät nenasledujúc ho, a on ho zase len nechá na púšti, a budete príčinou zkazy všetkého tohoto ľudu.

16 (CPDV) But approaching closer, they said: “We will manufacture sheep pens and cattle stalls, as well as fortified cities, for our little ones.
16 (ROH) Vtedy pristúpili k nemu a riekli: Len ohrady tu vystavíme pre svoj dobytok a mestá pre svoje deti,

17 (CPDV) But we ourselves will continue on, armed and girded for battle, before the sons of Israel, until we lead them to their places. Our little ones, and whatever we may be able to have, shall be in walled cities, because of the treachery of the inhabitants.
17 (ROH) a my sa rýchle vyzbrojíme a pojdeme pred synmi Izraelovými, dokiaľ ich nedovedieme na ich miesto, a naše deti budú bývať v ohradených mestách pre nepriateľských obyvateľov zeme.

18 (CPDV) We will not return to our houses, even until the sons of Israel may possess their inheritance.
18 (ROH) Nevrátime sa do svojich domov, dokiaľ nezdedia synovia Izraelovi, každý svojho dedičstva.

19 (CPDV) Neither will we seek anything across the Jordan, because we already have our possession on its eastern side.”
19 (ROH) Lebo nedostaneme s nimi dedičstva za Jordánom alebo tam ďalej, keď sa nám dostane naše dedičstvo za Jordánom na východ.

20 (CPDV) And Moses said to them: “If you accomplish what you have promised, you may go out, equipped for battle, before the Lord.
20 (ROH) Vtedy im povedal Mojžiš: Ak učiníte tú vec, ak sa ozbrojíte a pojdete pred Hospodinom do boja,

21 (CPDV) And let every fighting man cross over the Jordan, until the Lord overthrows his enemies,
21 (ROH) a prejde vám každý ozbrojený cez Jordán pred Hospodinom a zostane tam, dokiaľ nevyženie svojich nepriateľov od svojej tvári,

22 (CPDV) and all the land is subjected to him. Then you will be guiltless with the Lord and with Israel, and you will obtain the regions which you desire before the Lord.
22 (ROH) a dokiaľ nebude zem podmanená pred Hospodinom, a len potom sa vrátite, budete bez viny pred Hospodinom a pred Izraelom, a tak vám bude táto zem dedičným državím pred Hospodinom.

23 (CPDV) But if you do not do what you have said, no one could doubt that you will have sinned against God. And know this: your sin shall overtake you.
23 (ROH) Ale ak myslíte, že neučiníte tak, vtedy hľa, zhrešili ste proti Hospodinovi, a poznajte svoj hriech, ktorý vás najde.-

24 (CPDV) Therefore, build cities for your little ones, and pens and stables for your sheep and cattle; and fulfill what you have promised.”
24 (ROH) Vystavte si mestá pre svoje deti a stáje pre svoj dobytok, a to, čo vyšlo z vašich úst, učiňte.

25 (CPDV) And the sons of Gad and of Ruben said to Moses: “We are your servants, we shall do what you, our ruler, orders.
25 (ROH) A synovia Gádovi a synovia Rúbenovi odpovedali Mojžišovi a riekli: Tvoji služobníci učinia tak, ako rozkazuje náš pán:

26 (CPDV) We will leave behind our little ones, and our wives, and the sheep and cattle, in the cities of Gilead.
26 (ROH) naše deti, naše ženy, náš dobytok a všetky naše hovädá budú tam, v mestách Gileáda,

27 (CPDV) And we, your servants, all well-equipped, will go forth to battle, just as you, our ruler, has spoken.”
27 (ROH) a tvoji služobníci prejdú, každý ozbrojený do vojny, idúc pred Hospodinom do boja, tak ako hovorí náš pán.

28 (CPDV) Therefore, Moses instructed Eleazar the priest, and Joshua the son of Nun, and the princes of the families throughout the tribes of Israel, and he said to them:
28 (ROH) A Mojžiš prikázal o nich Eleazárovi, kňazovi, a Jozuovi, synovi Núnovmu, i hlavám otcov pokolení synov Izraelových.

29 (CPDV) “If the sons of Gad and the sons of Ruben cross over the Jordan with you, all armed for war before the Lord, and if the land becomes subject to you, give them Gilead as a possession.
29 (ROH) A Mojžiš im povedal: Ak prejdú synovia Gádovi a synovia Rúbenovi s vami Jordán, každý ozbrojený do boja, idúc pred Hospodinom, a keď už bude zem podmanená pred vami, dáte im zem Gileád do dedičného državia.

30 (CPDV) But if they are not willing to cross with you, armed, into the land of Canaan, then let them receive places among you for their dwellings.”
30 (ROH) Ale keby neprešli ozbrojení s vami, dostanú državie medzi vami v zemi Kanaána.

31 (CPDV) And the sons of Gad and the sons of Ruben responded: “Just as the Lord has spoken to his servants, so shall we do.
31 (ROH) Na to odpovedali synovia Gádovi a synovia Rúbenovi a riekli: To, čo hovoril Hospodin tvojim služobníkom, tak to učiníme;

32 (CPDV) We will go forth, armed, before the Lord into the land of Canaan; and we acknowledge that we have already received our possession across the Jordan.”
32 (ROH) my prejdeme ozbrojení pred Hospodinom do zeme Kanaána, a naše državie nášho dedičstva bude tu za Jordánom.

33 (CPDV) And so, Moses gave to the sons of Gad and of Ruben, and to half the tribe of Manasseh, the son of Joseph, the kingdom of Sihon, king of the Amorites, and the kingdom of Og, king of Bashan, and their land with its surrounding cities.
33 (ROH) A tak im dal Mojžiš, synom Gádovým a synom Rúbenovým a polovici pokolenia Manassesa, syna Jozefovho, kráľovstvo Síchona, amorejského kráľa, a kráľovstvo Óga, bázanského kráľa, zem i s jej mestami v hraniciach, mestá zeme dookola.

34 (CPDV) Therefore, the sons of Gad built up Dibon, and Ataroth, and Aroer,
34 (ROH) A synovia Gádovi vystavili Díbon, Atarót a Aroér

35 (CPDV) and Atroth and Shophan, and Jazer, and Jogbehah,
35 (ROH) a Atarót-šofan, Jazer a Jogbehu

36 (CPDV) and Beth-Nimrah, and Beth-Haran, as fortified cities with pens for their cattle.
36 (ROH) a Bét-nimru a Bét-cháran, ohradené mestá, i stáje pre drobný dobytok.

37 (CPDV) Yet truly, the sons of Ruben built up Heshbon, and Elealeh, and Kiriathaim,
37 (ROH) A synovia Rúbenovi vystavili Chešbon, Elale a Kirjataim

38 (CPDV) and Nebo, and Baal-meon (their names having been changed) and Sibmah, appointing names for the cities which they had built.
38 (ROH) a Nébo a Bál-meon, premeniac im mená, i Sibmu, a dali iné mená mestám, ktoré vystavili.

39 (CPDV) Moreover, the sons of Machir, the son of Manasseh, continued on within Gilead, and they devastated it, putting to death its inhabitant, the Amorite.
39 (ROH) Potom odišli synovia Machíra, syna Manassesovho, do Gileáda a vzali ho a hnali Amoreja, ktorý býval v ňom.

40 (CPDV) Therefore, Moses gave the land of Gilead to Machir, the son of Manasseh, and he lived in it.
40 (ROH) A Mojžiš dal Gileád Machírovi, synovi Manassesovmu, a býval v ňom.

41 (CPDV) But Jair, the son of Manasseh, went out and occupied its villages, which he called Havoth Jair, that is, the Villages of Jair.
41 (ROH) A Jair, syn Manassesov, išiel a zaujal ich dediny a nazval ich dedinami Jairovými.

42 (CPDV) Likewise, Nobah went forth and captured Kenath with its villages. And he called it by his own name, Nobah.
42 (ROH) A Nóbach išiel a zaujal Kenát a jeho mestečká a pomenoval ho Nóbachom, svojím menom.
