Nm 31, 1-54

1 (CPDV) And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying:
1 (ROH) A Hospodin hovoril Mojžišovi a riekol:

2 (CPDV) “First, avenge the sons of Israel from the Midianites, and then you shall be gathered to your people.”
2 (ROH) Pomsti synov Izraelových na Madianoch. Potom budeš pripojený k svojmu ľudu.

3 (CPDV) And immediately Moses said: “Arm the men among you for a battle, so that they may be able to fulfill the retribution of the Lord on the Midianites.
3 (ROH) Vtedy hovoril Mojžiš ľudu a riekol: Vyzbrojte si zpomedzi seba mužov do vojny, a pojdú na Madiana dať na neho pomstu Hospodinovu.

4 (CPDV) Let one thousand men be chosen from each tribe of Israel, who shall be sent to war.”
4 (ROH) Po tisíci mužov z pokolenia, zo všetkých pokolení Izraelových, vyšlete do vojny.

5 (CPDV) And they gave one thousand from each tribe, that is, twelve thousand foot soldiers for battle.

6 (CPDV) And Moses sent them with Phinehas, the son of Eleazar the priest; also, he delivered to him the holy vessels, and the trumpets to sound.
6 (ROH) A tedy ich vyslal Mojžiš, tisíc mužov na jedno pokolenie, do vojny, ich a Pinchasa, syna Eleazára, kňaza, do vojny, a sväté nádoby i trúby na trúbenie v jeho ruke.

7 (CPDV) And when they had fought against the Midianites and had prevailed, they killed all the men.
7 (ROH) A viedli vojnu proti Madianovi, tak ako prikázal Hospodin Mojžišovi, a pobili všetkých mužského pohlavia.

8 (CPDV) And they put to death by the sword their kings: Evi, and Rekem, and Zur, and Hur, and Reba, the five leaders of the nation, and also Balaam the son of Beor.
8 (ROH) Pobili aj madianských kráľov medzi inými ich pobitými, Eviho, Rekema, Cúra, Chúra a Rebu, piatich madianských kráľov, aj Baláma, syna Beorovho, zabili mečom.

9 (CPDV) And they seized their women and little ones, and all their cattle, and all their goods; whatever they were able to have, they despoiled.
9 (ROH) A synovia Izraelovi zajali ženy Madianov aj ich drobné deti a všetky ich hovädá aj všetok ich dobytok aj všetok ich majetok ulúpili.

10 (CPDV) Both their cities and their villages, as well as their fortresses, they burned.
10 (ROH) A všetky ich mestá, v ktorých bývali, i všetky ich hrady popálili ohňom.

11 (CPDV) And they carried away prey from everything that they had seized, both of men and of beasts.

12 (CPDV) And they led these to Moses and Eleazar the priest, and to all the multitude of the sons of Israel. But the remainder of the articles they carried to the camp on the plains of Moab, next to the Jordan, opposite Jericho.

13 (CPDV) Then Moses, and Eleazar the priest, and all the leaders of the assembly went out to meet them beyond the camp.
13 (ROH) A vyšli, Mojžiš a Eleazár, kňaz, i všetky kniežatá obce oproti nim von za tábor.

14 (CPDV) And Moses, being angry with the leaders of the army, and the tribunes, and the centurions, who had arrived from the battle,

15 (CPDV) said: “Why have you spared the females?
15 (ROH) A Mojžiš im povedal: Či ste zachovali všetky ženy živé?

16 (CPDV) Are not these the ones who deceived the sons of Israel at the suggestion of Balaam, and who caused you betray the Lord by the sin of Peor, because of which the people also were struck down?
16 (ROH) Hľa, veď ony boly synom Izraelovým na radu Balámovu pokušením, aby ich zviedly do hriechu proti Hospodinovi, pre vec modly Peora, pre ktorú príčinu potom prišla tá porážka na obec Hospodinovu!

17 (CPDV) Therefore, put to death all of them: whatever is of the male sex, even among the little ones, and cut the throats of those women who have known men by sexual relations.
17 (ROH) Preto teraz pobite všetko mužského pohlavia medzi deťmi a zabite aj každú ženu, ktorá poznala muža čo do súlože s mužským pohlavím.

18 (CPDV) But the young girls, and all female virgins, reserve for yourselves.
18 (ROH) A všetky deti medzi ženami, ktoré nepoznaly súlože mužského pohlavia, zachovajte si živé.

19 (CPDV) And remain beyond the camp for seven days. Whoever has killed a man, or who has touched one that was killed, shall be purified on the third day and on the seventh day.

20 (CPDV) And all of the spoils, whether it is a garment, or a vessel, or another useful thing, made from the pelts or hair of goats, or from wood, shall be expiated.”

21 (CPDV) Likewise, Eleazar the priest spoke in this manner to the men of the army who had fought: “This is the precept of the law, which the Lord has commanded Moses:
21 (ROH) A Eleazár, kňaz, povedal vojakom, ktorí boli išli do boja: Toto je ustanovenie zákona, ktoré prikázal Hospodin Mojžišovi:

22 (CPDV) Gold, and silver, and brass, and iron, and lead, and tin,
22 (ROH) Avšak zlato, striebro, meď, železo, cín a olovo,

23 (CPDV) and all that may be able to pass through fire, shall be purified by fire. But whatever is not able to sustain fire shall be sanctified with the waters of expiation.

24 (CPDV) And you shall wash your garments on the seventh day, and, after having been purified, you shall enter the camp.”
24 (ROH) A siedmeho dňa operiete svoje rúcha a budete čistí, a potom vojdete do tábora.

25 (CPDV) And the Lord also said to Moses:
25 (ROH) A Hospodin riekol Mojžišovi:

26 (CPDV) “Take the sum of those things which were captured, from man even to beast, you and Eleazar the priest, and the leaders of the common people.
26 (ROH) Spočítaj sumu vzatého do zajatia z ľudí aj z hoviad, ty a Eleazár, kňaz, i hlavy otcov, obce.

27 (CPDV) And you shall divide the prey equally, among those who went out to war and fought, and among the remainder of the multitude.
27 (ROH) A rozdelíš korisť na poly medzi tých, ktorí sa boli chopili boja, ktorí boli vyšli do vojny, a medzi celú ostatnú obec.

28 (CPDV) And you shall separate a portion for the Lord from the portion of those who fought and were in the battle: one soul out of five hundred, as much from humans, as from oxen and donkeys and sheep.

29 (CPDV) And you shall give it to Eleazar the priest, because these are the first-fruits of the Lord.
29 (ROH) Z ich polovice to vezmete, a dáš to Eleazárovi, kňazovi, obeť pozdvihnutia Hospodinovu.

30 (CPDV) Likewise, from the half of the portion belonging to the sons of Israel, you shall receive the fiftieth head of humans, and of oxen, and donkeys, and sheep, and of all living things, and you shall give these to the Levites who stand watch over the care of the tabernacle of the Lord.”
30 (ROH) A z polovice koristi synov Izraelových vezmeš jedno zajaté z päťdesiatich, z ľudí, z rožného statku, z oslov a z drobného dobytka, zo všetkých hoviad, a dáš ich Levitom, ktorí strážia stráž príbytku Hospodinovho.

31 (CPDV) And Moses and Eleazar did just as the Lord had instructed.

32 (CPDV) Now the prey which the army had seized was six hundred seventy-five thousand sheep,
32 (ROH) A bolo koristi, zvýšenej z lúpeže, ktorú ulúpil ľud čaty: drobného dobytka šesťsto sedemdesiatpäť tisíc,

33 (CPDV) seventy-two thousand oxen,
33 (ROH) rožného statku sedemdesiatdva tisíc,

34 (CPDV) sixty-one thousand donkeys,
34 (ROH) oslov šesťdesiatjeden tisíc

35 (CPDV) and thirty-two thousand human lives, of the female sex, who had not known men.
35 (ROH) a ľudských duší, zo žien, ktoré nepoznaly súlože s mužským pohlavím, všetkých duší bolo tridsaťdva tisíc.

36 (CPDV) And one half of the portion was given to those who had been in the battle: three hundred thirty-seven thousand five hundred sheep.
36 (ROH) A polovice, podielu tých, ktorí boli vyšli do vojny, bolo, čo do počtu drobného dobytka, tristo tridsaťsedem tisíc päťsto.

37 (CPDV) From these, for the portion of the Lord, there were accounted: six hundred seventy-five sheep;
37 (ROH) A dávky pre Hospodina bolo z drobného dobytka šesťsto sedemdesiatpäť,

38 (CPDV) and from the thirty-six thousand oxen, seventy-two oxen;
38 (ROH) a rožného statku bolo tridsaťšesť tisíc a ich dávka pre Hospodina sedemdesiatdva kusov,

39 (CPDV) from the thirty thousand five hundred donkeys, sixty-one donkeys.
39 (ROH) oslov tridsať tisíc päťsto a ich dávka pre Hospodina šesťdesiatjeden kusov.

40 (CPDV) From the sixteen thousand human souls, there fell to the portion of the Lord thirty-two souls.
40 (ROH) Ľudských duší bolo šestnásť tisíc a ich dávka pre Hospodina tridsaťdva duší.

41 (CPDV) And Moses delivered the number of the first-fruits of the Lord to Eleazar the priest, just as had been commanded of him,
41 (ROH) A Mojžiš dal dávku, obeť to pozdvihnutia Hospodinovu, Eleazárovi, kňazovi, tak ako prikázal Hospodin Mojžišovi.

42 (CPDV) from the one half portion belonging to the sons of Israel, which he had separated from the portion of those who had been in the battle.
42 (ROH) A z polovice synov Izraelových, ktorú vzal Mojžiš od mužov, ktorí bojovali.-

43 (CPDV) Yet truly, from the one half portion which fell to the remainder of the multitude, that is, from the three hundred thirty-seven thousand five hundred sheep,
43 (ROH) A polovice koristi obce bolo z drobného dobytka tristo tridsať sedem tisíc päťsto,

44 (CPDV) and from the thirty-six thousand oxen,
44 (ROH) rožného statku tridsaťšesť tisíc,

45 (CPDV) and from the thirty thousand five hundred donkeys,
45 (ROH) oslov tridsať tisíc päťsto

46 (CPDV) and from the sixteen thousand persons,
46 (ROH) a ľudských duší šestnásť tisíc -

47 (CPDV) Moses took the fiftieth head, and gave it to the Levites who stand watch at the tabernacle of the Lord, just as the Lord had instructed.

48 (CPDV) And when the leaders of the army, and the tribunes, and the centurions had approached Moses, they said:
48 (ROH) Potom pristúpili k Mojžišovi vodcovia, ktorí boli ustanovení nad tisícami vojska, tisícnici a stotníci,

49 (CPDV) “We, your servants, have taken a census of the number of the fighting men, whom we had under our hand, and indeed not one was lacking.
49 (ROH) a riekli Mojžišovi: Tvoji služobníci spočítali sumu bojovníkov, ktorí boli v našej ruke, a nechýba z nás ani jeden.

50 (CPDV) For this reason, we offer as gifts to the Lord whatever gold each one was able to find amid the spoils, in anklets and arm bands, rings and bracelets, and little chains, so that you may intercede for us to the Lord.”
50 (ROH) Preto obetujeme obetný dar Hospodinovi, každý z toho, čo ktorý dostal, už či zlatú nádobu či záponu na nohu či náramok či prsteň či náušnice a či retiazku, pokryť hriech na našich dušiach pred Hospodinom.

51 (CPDV) And Moses and Eleazar the priest received all the gold in its various kinds,
51 (ROH) A Mojžiš a Eleazár, kňaz, vzali od nich zlato, všelijaké klenoty, umele vypracované.

52 (CPDV) weighing sixteen thousand seven hundred fifty shekels, from the tribunes and the centurions.
52 (ROH) A bolo všetkého zlata tej obeti pozdvihnutia, ktorú obetovali Hospodinovi, šestnásť tisíc sedemsto päťdesiat šeklov, od tisícnikov a stotníkov.

53 (CPDV) For whatever each one had taken away in the spoils was his own.
53 (ROH) Mužovia vojska totiž ulúpili každý sebe.

54 (CPDV) And having been accepted, they took it into the tabernacle of the testimony, as a memorial of the sons of Israel before the Lord.
54 (ROH) A tedy vzal Mojžiš a Eleazár, kňaz, zlato od tisícnikov a stotníkov a vniesli ho do stánu shromaždenia na pamiatku synom Izraelovým pred Hospodinom.
