    Nm 3, 1-51

    1 (CPDV) These are the generations of Aaron and Moses, in the day when the Lord spoke to Moses on mount Sinai.
    1 (ROH) Toto sú rody Áronove a Mojžišove v deň, v ktorý hovoril Hospodin s Mojžišom na vrchu Sinai.

    2 (CPDV) And these are the names of the sons of Aaron: his firstborn Nadab, then Abihu, and Eleazar, and Ithamar.
    2 (ROH) A toto sú mená synov Áronových: prvorodený Nádab a Abíhu, Eleazár a Itamár.

    3 (CPDV) These the names of the sons of Aaron, the priests who were anointed and whose hands were filled and consecrated in order to exercise the priesthood.
    3 (ROH) Toto sú teda mená synov Áronových, pomazaných kňazov, ktorým naplnili ich ruku, aby konali kňazskú službu.

    4 (CPDV) For Nadab and Abihu died without children, when they offered, in the sight of the Lord, a strange fire, in the desert of Sinai. And so, Eleazar and Ithamar exercised the priesthood in the sight of Aaron, their father.
    4 (ROH) A Nádab a Abíhu zomreli pred Hospodinom, keď obetovali cudzí oheň pred Hospodinom na púšti Sinai. A nemali synov. Preto konal kňazskú službu Eleazár a Itamár pred tvárou Árona, svojho otca.

    5 (CPDV) And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying:
    5 (ROH) A Hospodin hovoril Mojžišovi a riekol:

    6 (CPDV) “Bring forward the tribe of Levi, and cause them to stand in the sight of Aaron the priest, in order to minister to him. And let them keep watch outside,
    6 (ROH) Priveď pokolenie Léviho a postav ho pred Árona, kňaza, aby mu posluhovali.

    7 (CPDV) and let them observe whatever pertains to the ritual for the multitude, in front of the tabernacle of the testimony,
    7 (ROH) A budú strážiť jeho stráž a stráž celej obce pred stánom shromaždenia, aby konali službu príbytku.

    8 (CPDV) and let them take care of the vessels of the tabernacle, serving in its ministry.

    9 (CPDV) And you shall give the Levites as a gift to Aaron and his sons; for they have been delivered to them by the sons of Israel.

    11 (CPDV) And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying:
    11 (ROH) A Hospodin hovoril Mojžišovi a riekol:

    12 (CPDV) “I have taken the Levites from the sons of Israel. For the Levites, and all the firstborn who open the womb among the sons of Israel, shall be mine.
    12 (ROH) Hľa, ja som si vzal Levitov zpomedzi synov Izraelových namiesto všetkých prvorodených, otvárajúcich život, zo synov Izraelových, a tedy Levitovia sú moji,

    13 (CPDV) For every firstborn is mine. From the time that I struck the firstborn in the land of Egypt, I have sanctified for myself whatever is born first in Israel. From man, even to beast, they are mine. I am the Lord.”
    13 (ROH) pretože je mojím všetko prvorodené. Toho dňa, keď som bil všetko prvorodené v Egyptskej zemi, posvätil som si všetko prvorodené v Izraelovi od človeka až do hoväda. Mojimi budú. Ja som Hospodin.

    14 (CPDV) And the Lord spoke to Moses in the desert of Sinai, saying:
    14 (ROH) A Hospodin hovoril Mojžišovi na púšti Sinai a riekol:

    15 (CPDV) “Number the sons of Levi by the houses of their fathers and their families, every male from one month and above.”
    15 (ROH) Spočítaj synov Léviho podľa domu ich otcov, podľa ich čeľadí; všetkých mužského pohlavia vo veku od jedného mesiaca a vyše ich spočítaš.

    16 (CPDV) Moses numbered them, just as the Lord had instructed,
    16 (ROH) Vtedy ich spočítal Mojžiš na rozkaz Hospodinov, tak ako mu bolo rozkázané.

    17 (CPDV) and there were found the sons of Levi by their names: Gershon and Kohath and Merari.
    17 (ROH) A toto boli synovia Léviho po svojich menách: Geršon, Kehát a Merári.

    18 (CPDV) The sons of Gershon: Libni and Shimei.
    18 (ROH) A toto sú mená synov Geršonových podľa svojich čeľadí: Libni a Šimei.

    19 (CPDV) The sons of Kohath: Amram, and Izhar, Hebron and Uzziel.
    19 (ROH) A synovia Kehátovi podľa svojich čeľadí: Amram a Jishár, Hebron a Uzziel.

    20 (CPDV) The sons of Merari: Mahli and Mushi.

    21 (CPDV) From Gershon were two families: the Libnites, and the Shimeites.

    22 (CPDV) The people of these were numbered, of the male sex, from one month and above: seven thousand five hundred.
    22 (ROH) Ich spočítaných v počte všetkých mužského pohlavia vo veku od jedného mesiaca a vyše, teda ich spočítaných bolo sedem tisíc päťsto.

    23 (CPDV) These shall encamp behind the tabernacle, toward the west,
    23 (ROH) Čeľade Geršonovcov táborily za príbytkom na strane k moru.

    24 (CPDV) under the leader Eliasaph the son of Lael.
    24 (ROH) A kniežaťom domu otca Geršonovcov bol Eliasaf, syn Laelov.

    25 (CPDV) And they shall keep watch over the tabernacle of the covenant:
    25 (ROH) A to, čo mali strážiť synovia Geršonovi v stáne shromaždenia, bol príbytok a stán, jeho pokrov a záclona dverí stánu shromaždenia,

    26 (CPDV) the tabernacle itself, and its covering; the tent that is drawn before the doors of the covering of the covenant; and the curtains of the atrium; likewise, the tent that is suspended at the entrance of the atrium of the tabernacle; and whatever pertains to the ritual of the altar; the cords of the tabernacle and all its implements.

    27 (CPDV) The kinship of Kohath 73 includes the peoples of the Amramites and Izharites and Hebronites and Uzzielites. These are the families of the Kohathites, having been counted by their names,
    27 (ROH) Kehátove čeľade boly: čeľaď Amrámovcov, čeľaď Jishárovcov, čeľaď Hebronovcov a čeľaď Uzzielovcov. To sú čeľade Kehátovcov.

    28 (CPDV) all those of the male gender, from one month and above: eight thousand six hundred. They shall keep watch over the Sanctuary,
    28 (ROH) V počte všetkých mužského pohlavia vo veku od jedného mesiaca a vyše ich bolo osem tisíc šesťsto, ktorí strážili stráž svätyne.

    29 (CPDV) and they shall encamp toward the south side.
    29 (ROH) Čeľade synov Kehátových táborily po strane príbytku na juh.

    30 (CPDV) And their leader shall be Elisaphan the son of Uzziel.
    30 (ROH) A kniežaťom domu otca čeľadí Kehátovcov bol Elicafán, syn Uzzielov.

    31 (CPDV) And they shall take care of the ark, and the table and the lampstand, the altars and the vessels of the Sanctuary, by which they minister, and the veil, and all the articles of this kind.
    31 (ROH) A to, čo im bolo sverené strážiť, bola truhla, stôl, svietnik, oltáre a nádoby svätyne, ktorými konali svätú službu, a záclona a všetka jej služba, služba svätyne.

    32 (CPDV) But the leader of the leaders of the Levites, Eleazar the son of Aaron the priest, shall be over those who watch over the care of the Sanctuary.
    32 (ROH) A kniežaťom kniežat Levitov bol Eleazár, syn Árona, kňaza, ustanovený nad tými, ktorí strážili stráž svätyne.

    33 (CPDV) And truly, from Merari are the peoples of the Mahlites and Mushites, having been counted by their names,

    35 (CPDV) Their leader is Suriel the son of Abihaiel. They shall make camp on the north side.
    35 (ROH) A kniežaťom domu otca čeľadí Meráriho bol Cúriel, syn Abichailov. Po strane príbytku táborili na sever.

    36 (CPDV) Under their care shall be the panels of the tabernacle, and the bars, and the columns with their bases, and all the things which pertain to service of this kind,
    36 (ROH) Úlohou synov Meráriho bolo strážiť dosky príbytku, jeho zásuvky, jeho stĺpy, jeho podstavce a všetko jeho náradie a všetku jeho službu

    37 (CPDV) and the columns of the surrounding atrium with their bases, and the tent pegs with their cords.
    37 (ROH) i stĺpy dvora dookola a ich podstavce, ich kolíky aj ich povrazy.

    38 (CPDV) Moses and Aaron, with their sons, shall make camp before the tabernacle of the covenant, that is, on the east side, holding the custody of the Sanctuary in the midst of the sons of Israel. Whatever foreigner approaches it shall die.
    38 (ROH) A tí, ktorí táborili pred príbytkom, napredku pred stánom shromaždenia na východ, boli Mojžiš, Áron a jeho synovia, ktorí strážili stráž svätyne, za stráž synov Izraelových. A vraj cudzí, kto by sa priblížil, zomrie.

    39 (CPDV) All the Levites, whom Moses and Aaron numbered by their families according to the precept of the Lord, of the male gender, from one month and above, were twenty-two thousand.
    39 (ROH) Všetkých spočítaných z Levitov, ktorých spočítal Mojžiš a Áron na rozkaz Hospodinov podľa ich čeľadí, teda všetkých mužského pohlavia vo veku od jedného mesiaca a vyše bolo dvadsaťdva tisíc.

    40 (CPDV) And the Lord said to Moses: “Number the firstborn of the male sex from the sons of Israel, from one month and above, and you shall take their total.
    40 (ROH) A Hospodin riekol Mojžišovi: Spočítaj všetkých prvorodených mužského pohlavia zo synov Izraelových vo veku od jedného mesiaca a vyše a spočítaj počet ich mien.

    41 (CPDV) And you shall bring the Levites to me, in place of all the firstborn of the sons of Israel, and you shall bring their cattle to me, in place of all the firstborn of the cattle of the sons of Israel. I am the Lord.”
    41 (ROH) A vezmeš Levitov mne - Ja som Hospodin - namiesto všetkých prvorodených zo synov Izraelových. I dobytok Levitov vezmeš namiesto všetkého prvorodeného z dobytka synov Izraelových.

    42 (CPDV) Moses took a census, just as the Lord had instructed, of the firstborn of the sons of Israel.
    42 (ROH) Vtedy spočítal Mojžiš tak, ako mu prikázal Hospodin, všetkých prvorodených medzi synmi Izraelovými.

    43 (CPDV) And the males by their names, from one month and above, were twenty-two thousand two hundred seventy-three.
    43 (ROH) A bolo všetkých prvorodených mužského pohlavia v počte mien vo veku od jedného mesiaca a vyše, ich spočítaných, dvadsaťdva tisíc dvesto sedemdesiattri.

    44 (CPDV) And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying:
    44 (ROH) A Hospodin hovoril Mojžišovi a riekol:

    45 (CPDV) “Take the Levites, in place of the firstborn of the sons of Israel, and the cattle of the Levites, in place of their cattle, and so the Levites shall be mine. I am the Lord.
    45 (ROH) Vezmi Levitov namiesto všetkých prvorodených medzi synmi Izraelovými i dobytok Levitov namiesto ich dobytka, a Levitovia budú moji. Ja som Hospodin.

    46 (CPDV) But for the price of the two hundred and seventy-three, which exceed the number of the Levites compared to the number of firstborn of the sons of Israel,
    46 (ROH) A čo do tých dvesto sedemdesiattri vykúpených, zbývajúcich nad Levitov, z prvorodených zo synov Izraelových,

    47 (CPDV) you shall take five shekels for each head, by the measure of the Sanctuary. A shekel has twenty obols.
    47 (ROH) vezmeš po päť šeklov od hlavy, v šekle svätyne to vezmeš. Taký šekel je dvadsať gér.

    48 (CPDV) And you shall give the money to Aaron and his sons as the price of those that are in excess.”
    48 (ROH) A dáš peniaze Áronovi a jeho synom, výkupné to vykúpených, ktorí zbývajú medzi nimi nad ich počet.

    49 (CPDV) Therefore, Moses took the money for those that were in excess, and whom they had redeemed from the Levites
    49 (ROH) Vtedy vzal Mojžiš peniaze výkupu od tých, ktorí zbývali nad počet vykúpených Levitmi,

    50 (CPDV) in place of the firstborn of the sons of Israel: one thousand three hundred sixty-five shekels, according to the weight of the Sanctuary.
    50 (ROH) od prvorodených zo synov Izraelových vzal tie peniaze, tisíc tristo a šesťdesiatpäť šeklov v šekle svätyne.

    51 (CPDV) And he gave it to Aaron and his sons, according to the word by which the Lord had instructed him.
    51 (ROH) A tedy dal Mojžiš peniaze výkupu Áronovi a jeho synom na rozkaz Hospodinov, tak ako prikázal Hospodin Mojžišovi.

    Verš 2
    And these are the names of the sons of Aaron: his firstborn Nadab, then Abihu, and Eleazar, and Ithamar.
    Ex 6:23 - Now Aaron took as a wife Elizabeth, the daughter of Amminadab, sister of Nahshon, who bore for him Nadab, and Abihu, and Eleazar, and Ithamar.

    Verš 4
    For Nadab and Abihu died without children, when they offered, in the sight of the Lord, a strange fire, in the desert of Sinai. And so, Eleazar and Ithamar exercised the priesthood in the sight of Aaron, their father.
    Lv 10:1 - And the sons of Aaron, Nadab and Abihu, picking up their censers, placed fire in them and incense upon them, offering in the sight of the Lord a strange fire, such as was not instructed of them.
    Nm 26:61 - Of these, Nadab and Abihu died, when they had offered strange fire before the Lord.
    1Krn 24:2 - But Nadab and Abihu died before their father, and without children. And so Eleazar and Ithamar exercised the priestly office.

    Verš 38
    Moses and Aaron, with their sons, shall make camp before the tabernacle of the covenant, that is, on the east side, holding the custody of the Sanctuary in the midst of the sons of Israel. Whatever foreigner approaches it shall die.
    Nm 3:10 - But you shall appoint Aaron and his sons over the service of priesthood. The outsider who approaches to minister shall be put to death.”
    Nm 16:40 - so that the sons of Israel would have, thereafter, something to admonish them, lest any stranger, or anyone who is not of the offspring of Aaron, might approach to offer incense to the Lord, and lest he endure what happened to Korah, and to all his congregation, when the Lord spoke to Moses.

    “Bring forward the tribe of Levi, and cause them to stand in the sight of Aaron the priest, in order to minister to him. And let them keep watch outside,
    Nm 16:9 - Is it a small thing to you, that the God of Israel has separated you from all the people, and has joined you to himself, so that you would serve him in the rituals of the tabernacle, and stand before gatherings of the people, and minister to him?
    Nm 18:2 - But take to yourselves also your brothers from the tribe of Levi, and the scepter of your father, and may they be prepared, and may they minister to you. Then you and your sons shall minister in the tabernacle of the testimony.

    “I have taken the Levites from the sons of Israel. For the Levites, and all the firstborn who open the womb among the sons of Israel, shall be mine.
    Ex 13:2 - “Sanctify to me every firstborn which opens the womb among the sons of Israel, as much of men as of cattle. For they are all mine.”

    Verš 13
    For every firstborn is mine. From the time that I struck the firstborn in the land of Egypt, I have sanctified for myself whatever is born first in Israel. From man, even to beast, they are mine. I am the Lord.”
    Ex 13:2 - “Sanctify to me every firstborn which opens the womb among the sons of Israel, as much of men as of cattle. For they are all mine.”
    Ex 22:29 - You shall not delay in paying your tithes and your first-fruits. You shall give the firstborn of your sons to me.
    Ex 34:19 - All of the male kind, which open the womb, shall be mine: from all the animals, as much of oxen as of sheep, it shall be mine.
    Lv 27:26 - The 71 firstborn, which belong to the Lord, no one is able to sanctify or vow, whether it is an ox, or a sheep, they are for the Lord.
    Nm 8:16 - I have accepted them in place of the firstborn which open every womb in Israel.
    Lk 2:22 - And after the days of her purification were fulfilled, according to the law of Moses, they brought him to Jerusalem, in order to present him to the Lord,

    Verš 47
    you shall take five shekels for each head, by the measure of the Sanctuary. A shekel has twenty obols.
    Ex 30:31 - Likewise, you shall say to the sons of Israel: ‘This oil of unction will be holy to me throughout your generations.
    Lv 27:25 - All estimation shall be weighed according to the shekel of the Sanctuary. A shekel has twenty obols.
    Nm 18:16 - And its redemption shall be, after one month, five shekels of silver, by the weight of the Sanctuary. A shekel has twenty obols.
    Ez 45:12 - Now the shekel consists of twenty obols. Furthermore, twenty shekels, and twenty-five shekels, and fifteen shekels makes one mina.

    Verš 17
    and there were found the sons of Levi by their names: Gershon and Kohath and Merari.
    Ex 6:15 - These are the kindred of Reuben. The sons of Simeon: Jemuel and Jamin, and Ohad, and Jachin, and Zohar, and Shaul, the son of a Canaanite women. These are the progeny of Simeon.
    Nm 26:57 - Likewise, this is the number of the sons of Levi by their families: Gershon, from whom is the family of the Gershonites; Kohath, from whom is the family of the Kohathites; Merari, from whom is the family of the Merarites.
    1Krn 6:1 - The sons of Levi: Gershom, Kohath, and Merari.
    1Krn 23:6 - And David distributed them into courses according to the sons of Levi, specifically, Gershom, and Kohath, and Merari.

    Nm 3,1-4 - Porov. Ex 6,23; Lv 8,1 n.; 10,1 n. O naplnení rúk pozri Ex 28,41 a 29,24; o pomazaní Ex 29,7.

    Nm 3,5 - Leviti majú pomáhať kňazom pri bohoslužbe, majú však byť nápomocní aj jednoduchým Izraelitom; napr. pri zabíjaní obetných zvierat, ak ten, čo priviedol zviera na obetu, zabiť ho nevedel alebo nemohol.

    Nm 3,12 - Všetko prvorodené patrilo Pánovi, preto že on je Pánom a Darcom všetkého (Ex 22,28 n.; 34, 19 n.). Prvorodení z Izraela patrili mu však aj preto, že zachránil pred záhubou všetkých prvorodených v izraelských rodinách (Ex 13,13 n.). Izraeliti mali zasvätiť svojich prvorodených synov službe svätostánku, obetovať prvorodené zo statku a prvotiny plodín priniesť na potravinovú a nápojovú obetu. Pán teraz namiesto prvorodených volí si levitov a takto zaručuje pravidelnosť bohoslužby, poskytuje ľudu ľahšie plniť náboženské povinnosti a zabraňuje aj tomu, aby sa jednotlivé kmene miešali do bohoslužby, čo sa ľahko mohlo stať, keby prvorodení boli robievali službu pri svätyni.

    Nm 3,40-51 - Ako vidno, levitov od jedného mesiaca nahor bolo o 273 menej ako prvorodených v Izraeli. A keďže aj títo prvorodení patrili Pánovi, bolo ich treba vykúpiť, nakoľko náhrada za nich v levitoch už nebola. Museli sa vykúpiť piatimi šeklami. O šekli pozri Ex 30,13. Tí, čo sa mali vykúpiť, pravdepodobne určili sa žrebom. Lenže v budúcnosti budú sa vykupovať všetci izraelskí prvorodení touto sumou (18,16). Pánovi patril každý prvorodený len po mesiaci.
