Nm 23, 1-30

1 (UKJV) And Balaam said unto Balak, Build me here seven altars, and prepare me here seven oxen and seven rams.
1 (KAT) Tu povedal Balám Balakovi: „Postav mi tu sedem oltárov a prichystaj sedem býčkov a sedem baranov!“

2 (UKJV) "And Balak did as Balaam had spoken; and Balak and Balaam offered on every altar a bullock and a ram. "
2 (KAT) A Balak urobil, ako si Balám žiadal. Nato Balak a Balám obetovali na každom oltári po jednom býčkovi a jednom baranovi.

3 (UKJV) And Balaam said unto Balak, Stand by your burnt offering, and I will go: possibly the LORD will come to meet me: and whatsoever he shows me I will tell you. And he went to an high place.

4 (UKJV) And God met Balaam: and he said unto him, I have prepared seven altars, and I have offered upon every altar a bullock and a ram.
4 (KAT) a Boh sa ozaj zjavil Balámovi, ktorý mu povedal: „Postavil som sedem oltárov a na každom oltári som obetoval býčka a barana.“

5 (UKJV) And the LORD put a word in Balaam's mouth, and said, Return unto Balak, and thus you shall speak.
5 (KAT) Nato Pán vložil do Balámových úst slová a povedal mu: „Vráť sa k Balakovi a takto rozprávaj!“

6 (UKJV) And he returned unto him, and, lo, he stood by his burnt sacrifice, he, and all the princes of Moab.

7 (UKJV) And he took up his parable, and said, Balak the king of Moab has brought me from Aram, out of the mountains of the east, saying, Come, curse me Jacob, and come, defy Israel.
7 (KAT) Tu predniesol svoj oslavný spev a hovoril: Z Aramu ma Balak priviedol, od vrchov východu moabský kráľ: Poď, prekľaj mi Jakuba, poď zlorečiť Izraelovi!

8 (UKJV) How shall I curse, whom God has not cursed? or how shall I defy, whom the LORD has not defied?
8 (KAT) Akože môžem prekliať, koho nepreklína Boh? Akože môžem zlorečiť, komu nezlorečí Pán?

9 (UKJV) For from the top of the rocks I see him, and from the hills I behold him: lo, the people shall dwell alone, and shall not be reckoned among the nations.
9 (KAT) Veď ho vidím z vrchu skál, z výšin sa naň dívam: „Hľa, ľud, čo osamote býva si a neráta sa medzi národy.

10 (UKJV) Who can count the dust of Jacob, and the number of the fourth part of Israel? Let me die the death of the righteous, and let my last end be like his!

11 (UKJV) And Balak said unto Balaam, What have you done unto me? I took you to curse mine enemies, and, behold, you have blessed them altogether.
11 (KAT) Tu povedal Balak Balámovi: „Čo si mi to urobil? Zavolal som ťa prekliať mojich nepriateľov, a ty ich bohato žehnáš!“

12 (UKJV) And he answered and said, Must I not take heed to speak that which the LORD has put in my mouth?
12 (KAT) Ale on mu odpovedal: „Či nemám dbať, aby som hovoril to, čo mi vložil do úst Pán?“

13 (UKJV) And Balak said unto him, Come, I pray you, with me unto another place, from whence you may see them: you shall see but the utmost part of them, and shall not see them all: and curse me them from thence.
13 (KAT) Potom vravel Balak Balámovi: „Poď so mnou na iné miesto, odkiaľ ho uvidíš celého. Teraz vidíš len poslednú časť. Potom mi ho odtiaľ prekľaješ!“

14 (UKJV) And he brought him into the field of Zophim, to the top of Pisgah, and built seven altars, and offered a bullock and a ram on every altar.

15 (UKJV) And he said unto Balak, Stand here by your burnt offering, while I meet the LORD yonder.
15 (KAT) Nato povedal Balakovi: „Ostaň tu pri svojej zápalnej žertve, ja počkám na zjavenie.“

16 (UKJV) And the LORD met Balaam, and put a word in his mouth, and said, Go again unto Balak, and say thus.
16 (KAT) Balámovi sa zjavil Pán, vložil mu do úst slová a povedal: „Vráť sa k Balakovi a takto hovor!“

17 (UKJV) And when he came to him, behold, he stood by his burnt offering, and the princes of Moab with him. And Balak said unto him, What has the LORD spoken?
17 (KAT) Keď došiel k nemu, on stál ešte pri svojej zápalnej žertve a pri ňom moabskí náčelníci. Balak sa ho opýtal: „Čo hovoril Pán?“

18 (UKJV) "And he took up his parable, and said, Rise up, Balak, and hear; hearken unto me, you son of Zippor: "
18 (KAT) Tu on predniesol svoj oslavný spev a vravel: „Vstaň, Balak, a počúvaj! Nakloň ku mne sluch, Seforov syn!

19 (UKJV) "God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: has he said, and shall he not do it? or has he spoken, and shall he not make it good? "
Azda by povedal, a nevykonal, hovoril var', a nesplnil?

20 (UKJV) "Behold, I have received commandment to bless: and he has blessed; and I cannot reverse it. "
20 (KAT) Hľa, dostal som rozkaz požehnať, nuž požehnávam a nezmením to:

21 (UKJV) He has not beheld iniquity in Jacob, neither has he seen perverseness in Israel: the LORD his God is with him, and the shout of a king is among them.
21 (KAT) Nevidno nešťastia v Jakubovi a nebadať strasti v Izraelovi.

22 (UKJV) "God brought them out of Egypt; he has as it were the strength of an unicorn (p. ox). "

23 (UKJV) Surely there is no enchantment against Jacob, neither is there any divination against Israel: according to this time it shall be said of Jacob and of Israel, What has God wrought!
23 (KAT) Veď niet hádačstva v Jakubovi a niet veštectva v Izraelovi.

24 (UKJV) Behold, the people shall rise up as a great lion, and lift up himself as a young lion: he shall not lie down until he eat of the prey, and drink the blood of the slain.
Neľahne, pokým korisť nezhltne a nevypije krv zabitých.“

25 (UKJV) And Balak said unto Balaam, Neither curse them at all, nor bless them at all.
25 (KAT) Balak povedal Balámovi: „Keď mu nemôžeš zlorečiť, aspoň mu nežehnaj!“

26 (UKJV) But Balaam answered and said unto Balak, Told not I you, saying, All that the LORD speaks, that I must do?
26 (KAT) Balám mu odpovedal: „Nevravel som ti: »Všetko, čo povie Pán, musím urobiť?«“

27 (UKJV) "And Balak said unto Balaam, Come, I pray you, I will bring you unto another place; possibly it will please God that you may curse me them from thence. "

28 (UKJV) And Balak brought Balaam unto the top of Peor, that looks toward Jeshimon.

29 (UKJV) And Balaam said unto Balak, Build me here seven altars, and prepare me here seven bullocks and seven rams.
29 (KAT) Tu Balám povedal Balakovi: „Vystav mi tu sedem oltárov a prichystaj mi sedem býčkov a sedem baranov!“

30 (UKJV) And Balak did as Balaam had said, and offered a bullock and a ram on every altar.
30 (KAT) Balak urobil, ako si želal Balám, a na každom oltári obetoval jedného býčka a jedného barana.
