Biblia - Sväté písmo

(KJV - Anglický - King James)

Nm 21, 1-35

1 (KJV) And when king Arad the Canaanite, which dwelt in the south, heard tell that Israel came by the way of the spies; then he fought against Israel, and took some of them prisoners.

2 (KJV) And Israel vowed a vow unto the LORD, and said, If thou wilt indeed deliver this people into my hand, then I will utterly destroy their cities.

3 (KJV) And the LORD hearkened to the voice of Israel, and delivered up the Canaanites; and they utterly destroyed them and their cities: and he called the name of the place Hormah.
I nazvali to miesto Horma.
A nazvali meno toho miesta Chorma .

4 (KJV) And they journeyed from mount Hor by the way of the Red sea, to compass the land of Edom: and the soul of the people was much discouraged because of the way.

5 (KJV) And the people spake against God, and against Moses, Wherefore have ye brought us up out of Egypt to die in the wilderness? for there is no bread, neither is there any water; and our soul loatheth this light bread.
5 (KAT) ľud šomral proti Bohu a proti Mojžišovi: „Prečo ste nás vyviedli z Egypta?
5 (ROH) A ľud vravel proti Bohu a proti Mojžišovi: Prečo ste nás vyviedli hore z Egypta? Aby sme pomreli tu na púšti? Lebo niet ani chleba ani vody. A naša duša si už zošklivila ten ničomný chlieb.

6 (KJV) And the LORD sent fiery serpents among the people, and they bit the people; and much people of Israel died.
6 (KAT) Za to Pán poslal na ľudí jedovaté hady. Ony hrýzli ľud a z Izraelitov mnoho ľudí pomrelo.
6 (ROH) A Hospodin poslal na ľud jedovatých hadov ohnivých, ktorí štípali ľud, takže zomrelo množstvo ľudu z Izraela.

7 (KJV) Therefore the people came to Moses, and said, We have sinned, for we have spoken against the LORD, and against thee; pray unto the LORD, that he take away the serpents from us. And Moses prayed for the people.
7 (KAT) Tu prišiel ľud k Mojžišovi a povedal: „Zhrešili sme, keď sme šomrali proti Pánovi a proti tebe.
7 (ROH) Preto prišiel ľud k Mojžišovi a vraveli: Zhrešili sme, keď sme hovorili proti Hospodinovi i proti tebe.

8 (KJV) And the LORD said unto Moses, Make thee a fiery serpent, and set it upon a pole: and it shall come to pass, that every one that is bitten, when he looketh upon it, shall live.

9 (KJV) And Moses made a serpent of brass, and put it upon a pole, and it came to pass, that if a serpent had bitten any man, when he beheld the serpent of brass, he lived.
9 (KAT) Mojžiš teda urobil medeného hada a vyvesil ho na žrď. A keď niekoho hady uhryzli a on pozrel na medeného hada, ostal nažive.

10 (KJV) And the children of Israel set forward, and pitched in Oboth.
10 (KAT) Potom Izraeliti išli ďalej a táborili v Obote.
10 (ROH) Potom sa zase rušali synovia Izraelovi a rozložili sa táborom v Obóte.

11 (KJV) And they journeyed from Oboth, and pitched at Ije-abarim, in the wilderness which is before Moab, toward the sunrising.

12 (KJV) From thence they removed, and pitched in the valley of Zared.

13 (KJV) From thence they removed, and pitched on the other side of Arnon, which is in the wilderness that cometh out of the coasts of the Amorites: for Arnon is the border of Moab, between Moab and the Amorites.

14 (KJV) Wherefore it is said in the book of the wars of the LORD, What he did in the Red sea, and in the brooks of Arnon,
14 (KAT) Preto sa hovorí v „Knihe bojov Pánových“:
14 (ROH) Preto sa hovorí v knihe bojov Hospodinových: Vahéb zaujal víchricou i údolia potoka Arnona

15 (KJV) And at the stream of the brooks that goeth down to the dwelling of Ar, and lieth upon the border of Moab.

16 (KJV) And from thence they went to Beer: that is the well whereof the LORD spake unto Moses, Gather the people together, and I will give them water.
16 (KAT) Odtiaľ tiahli k Bére. To je studnica, o ktorej hovoril Pán Mojžišovi: „Zhromaždi ľud, nech im dám vody!“
16 (ROH) A odtiaľ odišli do Béri. To je tá Bér , o ktorej povedal Hospodin Mojžišovi: Sober ľud, a dám im vody.

17 (KJV) Then Israel sang this song, Spring up, O well; sing ye unto it:
17 (KAT) Vtedy Izrael spieval túto pieseň:
17 (ROH) Vtedy spieval Izrael túto pieseň: Vystúp, studňo! Spievajte o nej!

18 (KJV) The princes digged the well, the nobles of the people digged it, by the direction of the lawgiver, with their staves. And from the wilderness they went to Mattanah:
18 (KAT) „Vyraz studnička! Prespevujte jej! Studnica, ktorú kopali kniežatá, vznešení ľudu ju vyhĺbili svojimi žezlami, svojimi palicami!“ Z púšte potom tiahli do Matany,
18 (ROH) Studňa, ktorú kopaly kniežatá, vyvrtali ju prední z ľudu, berlou, svojimi palicami! A z púšte prešli do Mattana,

19 (KJV) And from Mattanah to Nahaliel: and from Nahaliel to Bamoth:
19 (KAT) z Matany do Nahalielu, z Nahalielu do Bamotu,
19 (ROH) a z Mattana do Nachaliela, a z Nachaliela do Bámot,

20 (KJV) And from Bamoth in the valley, that is in the country of Moab, to the top of Pisgah, which looketh toward Jeshimon.

21 (KJV) And Israel sent messengers unto Sihon king of the Amorites, saying,
21 (KAT) Izrael poslal poslov k amorejskému kráľovi Sehonovi a odkázal mu:
21 (ROH) A Izrael poslal poslov k Síchonovi, amorejskému kráľovi, a povedal:

22 (KJV) Let me pass through thy land: we will not turn into the fields, or into the vineyards; we will not drink of the waters of the well: but we will go along by the king's high way, until we be past thy borders.
22 (KAT) „Chcel by som prejsť cez tvoju krajinu. Nevstúpime ti ani na pole, ani do vinice, nebudeme piť vodu z tvojich studníc. Pôjdeme po kráľovskej ceste, kým neprejdeme tvoje územie.“
22 (ROH) Dovoľ, prosím, aby som prešiel cez tvoju zem. Neuhneme sa na pole ani do vinice, nebudeme piť vody zo studne, pojdeme cestou kráľovou, dokiaľ neprejdeme tvojho územia.

23 (KJV) And Sihon would not suffer Israel to pass through his border: but Sihon gathered all his people together, and went out against Israel into the wilderness: and he came to Jahaz, and fought against Israel.
23 (KAT) Ale Sehon nedovolil Izraelitom prejsť cez svoje územie. Ba zhromaždil všetko svoje vojsko a vytiahol proti Izraelitom na púšť, a keď prišiel do Jasy, napadol Izrael.
23 (ROH) Ale Síchon nedal Izraelovi, aby prešiel cez jeho územie, lež soberúc Síchon všetok svoj ľud vyšiel oproti Izraelovi na púšť a prijdúc do Johsy bojoval proti Izraelovi.

24 (KJV) And Israel smote him with the edge of the sword, and possessed his land from Arnon unto Jabbok, even unto the children of Ammon: for the border of the children of Ammon was strong.

25 (KJV) And Israel took all these cities: and Israel dwelt in all the cities of the Amorites, in Heshbon, and in all the villages thereof.
25 (KAT) Izrael zaujal všetky tamojšie mestá a osadil sa vo všetkých amorejských mestách, v Hesebone a vo všetkých dedinách.
25 (ROH) A Izrael vzal všetky tie mestá a tak býval Izrael vo všetkých mestách Amoreja, v Chešbone a vo všetkých jeho dcéro-mestách.

26 (KJV) For Heshbon was the city of Sihon the king of the Amorites, who had fought against the former king of Moab, and taken all his land out of his hand, even unto Arnon.
26 (KAT) Hesebon bolo mesto amorejského kráľa Sehona. On predtým viedol vojnu s predchádzajúcim moabským kráľom a vyrval mu z rúk celú krajinu až po Arnon.

27 (KJV) Wherefore they that speak in proverbs say, Come into Heshbon, let the city of Sihon be built and prepared:
27 (KAT) Preto pospevovali (uštipačne) pesničkári:
27 (ROH) Preto povedali básnici, ktorí hovorili v prísloví: Poďte do Chešbona, nech sa vybuduje a nech sa pevne postaví mesto Síchonovo!

28 (KJV) For there is a fire gone out of Heshbon, a flame from the city of Sihon: it hath consumed Ar of Moab, and the lords of the high places of Arnon.
28 (KAT) „Poďte do Hesebonu, vystavané a opevnené bude Sehonovo mesto! Veď z Hesebona vyšľahol oheň, plameň zo Sehonovho hradu, strávil moabský Ar dočista, popálil arnonské výšiny.
28 (ROH) Lebo oheň vyšiel z Chešbona a plameň z mesta Síchonovho a strávil Ár Moábovo, pánov výšin Arnona.

29 (KJV) Woe to thee, Moab! thou art undone, O people of Chemosh: he hath given his sons that escaped, and his daughters, into captivity unto Sihon king of the Amorites.
29 (KAT) Beda ti, Moabsko! Stratený si, Kamošov ľud! Opustil svojich synov na úteku a svoje dcéry v zajatí amorejského kráľa Sehona.
29 (ROH) Beda tebe, Moábe! Zahynul si, ľude Chámošov! Dal svojich synov za ubehlíkov a svoje dcéry do zajatia, amorejskému kráľovi Síchonovi.

30 (KJV) We have shot at them; Heshbon is perished even unto Dibon, and we have laid them waste even unto Nophah, which reacheth unto Medeba.
30 (ROH) Strieľali sme do nich.

31 (KJV) Thus Israel dwelt in the land of the Amorites.
31 (KAT) Keď sa Izraeliti osadili v krajine Amorejčanov,
31 (ROH) A tak býval Izrael v zemi Amoreja.

32 (KJV) And Moses sent to spy out Jaazer, and they took the villages thereof, and drove out the Amorites that were there.

33 (KJV) And they turned and went up by the way of Bashan: and Og the king of Bashan went out against them, he, and all his people, to the battle at Edrei.
33 (KAT) Nato sa obrátili a tiahli smerom k Bášanu. Tu pri Edrei vytiahol proti nim do boja so všetkým svojím vojskom bášanský kráľ Og.
33 (ROH) A obrátiac sa išli hore cestou do Bázana. A vyšiel Óg, kráľ Bázana, proti nim, on i všetok jeho ľud, do boja v Edrei.

34 (KJV) And the LORD said unto Moses, Fear him not: for I have delivered him into thy hand, and all his people, and his land; and thou shalt do to him as thou didst unto Sihon king of the Amorites, which dwelt at Heshbon.

35 (KJV) So they smote him, and his sons, and all his people, until there was none left him alive: and they possessed his land.

Veci, zvieratá a ľudí; ktorí boli takto sľúbení, museli víťazi poničiť.

Obot a Jeabarim (hebr.

Porov. Dt 3,1–3.
