1 (UKJV) "Then came the children of Israel, even the whole congregation, into the desert of Zin in the first month: and the people abode in Kadesh; and Miriam died there, and was buried there. "
1 (ROH) A synovia Izraelovi prišli, celá obec, na púšť Tsin, prvého mesiaca. A ľud býval v Kádeši. A tam zomrela Mária a tam bola i pochovaná.
2 (UKJV) And there was no water for the congregation: and they gathered themselves together against Moses and against Aaron.
2 (ROH) A obec nemala vody, a preto sa shromaždili na Mojžiša a na Árona.
3 (UKJV) And the people find fault with Moses, and spoke, saying, Would God that we had died when our brethren died before the LORD!
3 (ROH) A ľud sa dohadoval s Mojžišom, a vraveli: Ach, keby sme len boli zomreli vtedy, keď zomreli naši bratia pred Hospodinom!
4 (UKJV) And why have all of you brought up the congregation of the LORD into this wilderness, that we and our cattle should die there?
4 (ROH) Prečo ste doviedli shromaždenie Hospodinovo na túto púšť? Aby sme tu pomreli i my i náš dobytok?
5 (UKJV) "And wherefore have all of you made us to come up out of Egypt, to bring us in unto this evil place? it is no place of seed, or of figs, or of vines, or of pomegranates; neither is there any water to drink. "
5 (ROH) A prečo ste nás vyviedli hore z Egypta, aby ste nás doviedli na toto zlé miesto? Nie je to miesto vhodné pre semä ani pre fík ani pre vinič ani pre granátovú jabloň, a niet ani vody na pitie.
6 (UKJV) And Moses and Aaron went from the presence of the assembly unto the door of the tabernacle of the congregation, and they fell upon their faces: and the glory of the LORD appeared unto them.
6 (ROH) Potom prišiel Mojžiš a Áron zpred schôdze ľudu ku dveriam stánu shromaždenia, a tam padli na svoju tvár, a ukázala sa im sláva Hospodinova.
7 (UKJV) And the LORD spoke unto Moses, saying,
7 (ROH) A Hospodin hovoril Mojžišovi a riekol:
8 (UKJV) "Take the rod, and gather you the assembly together, you, and Aaron your brother, and speak all of you unto the rock before their eyes; and it shall give forth his water, and you shall bring forth to them water out of the rock: so you shall give the congregation and their beasts drink. "
8 (ROH) Vezmi palicu a shromaždi obec, ty aj Áron, tvoj brat, a budete hovoriť skale pred ich očami, a skala vydá svoju vodu. A vyvedieš im vodu zo skaly a napojíš obec aj ich dobytok.
9 (UKJV) And Moses took the rod from before the LORD, as he commanded him.
9 (ROH) Vtedy vzal Mojžiš palicu zpred tvári Hospodinovej, tak ako mu prikázal.
10 (UKJV) "And Moses and Aaron gathered the congregation together before the rock, and he said unto them, Hear now, all of you rebels; must we fetch you water out of this rock? "
10 (ROH) A Mojžiš a Áron shromaždili shromaždenie pred skalu, a povedal im: Nože vy buriči, počujte! Či vám azda z tejto skaly vyvedieme vodu?
11 (UKJV) And Moses lifted up his hand, and with his rod he stroke the rock twice: and the water came out abundantly, and the congregation drank, and their beasts also.
11 (ROH) A Mojžiš pozdvihnul svoju ruku a dvakrát uderil skalu svojou palicou, a vyšly mnohé vody, a pila obec aj ich dobytok.
12 (UKJV) And the LORD spoke unto Moses and Aaron, Because all of you believed me not, to sanctify me in the eyes of the children of Israel, therefore all of you shall not bring this congregation into the land which I have given them.
12 (ROH) Potom riekol Hospodin Mojžišovi a Áronovi: Preto, že ste mi neverili, aby ste ma boli posvätili pred očami synov Izraelových, preto nevovediete tohoto shromaždenia do zeme, ktorú som im dal.
13 (UKJV) "This is the water of Meribah; because the children of Israel strove with the LORD, and he was sanctified in them. "
13 (ROH) To sú tie vody sváru, o ktoré sa svárili synovia Izraelovi s Hospodinom, a bol posvätený v nich.
14 (UKJV) And Moses sent messengers from Kadesh unto the king of Edom, Thus says your brother Israel, You know all the travail that has befallen us:
14 (ROH) A Mojžiš poslal poslov z Kádeša ku kráľovi Edoma so slovom: Takto hovorí tvoj brat Izrael: Ty vieš o všetkých ťažkostiach, ktoré prišly na nás,
15 (UKJV) "How our fathers went down into Egypt, and we have dwelt in Egypt a long time; and the Egyptians vexed us, and our fathers: "
15 (ROH) že naši otcovia sostúpili do Egypta, a bývali sme v Egypte dlhý čas. A Egypťania nám robili zle i našim otcom.
16 (UKJV) And when we cried unto the LORD, he heard our voice, and sent an angel, and has brought us forth out of Egypt: and, behold, we are in Kadesh, a city in the uttermost of your border:
16 (ROH) Preto sme kričali k Hospodinovi, a počul náš hlas a pošlúc anjela vyviedol nás z Egypta, a hľa, sme tu v Kádeši, v meste na konci tvojej hranice.
17 (UKJV) Let us pass, I pray you, through your country: we will not pass through the fields, or through the vineyards, neither will we drink of the water of the wells: we will go by the king's high way, we will not turn to the right hand nor to the left, until we have passed your borders.
17 (ROH) Nech, prosím, prejdeme cez tvoju zem. Nepojdeme poľom ani vinicou ani nebudeme piť vody z ničej studne-cisterny; kráľovou cestou pojdeme, neuhneme sa ani napravo ani naľavo, dokiaľ neprejdeme tvojho územia.
18 (UKJV) And Edom said unto him, You shall not pass by me, lest I come out against you with the sword.
18 (ROH) Ale Edom mu odpovedal: Nepojdeš cezo mňa, aby som nevyšiel proti tebe s mečom.
19 (UKJV) And the children of Israel said unto him, We will go by the high way: and if I and my cattle drink of your water, then I will pay for it: I will only, without doing anything else, go through on my feet.
19 (ROH) A synovia Izraelovi mu riekli: Hradskou pojdeme hore, a keď sa napijeme tvojej vody, ja i môj dobytok, zaplatím ju; len nech, čo už ináče bude jakokoľvek, prejdem peši.
20 (UKJV) And he said, You shall not go through. And Edom came out against him with much people, and with a strong hand.
20 (ROH) A riekol: Neprejdeš. A Edom vyšiel proti nemu s veľkým množstvom ľudu a so silnou rukou.
21 (UKJV) Thus Edom refused to give Israel passage through his border: wherefore Israel turned away from him.
21 (ROH) Keď tedy odoprel Edom a nedal Izraelovi, aby prešiel jeho územím, uhnul sa Izrael od neho.
22 (UKJV) And the children of Israel, even the whole congregation, journeyed from Kadesh, and came unto mount Hor.
22 (ROH) Potom sa rušali synovia Izraelovi, celá obec, z Kádeša a prišli k vrchu Hor.
23 (UKJV) And the LORD spoke unto Moses and Aaron in mount Hor, by the coast of the land of Edom, saying,
23 (ROH) A Hospodin riekol Mojžišovi a Áronovi na vrchu Hore pri hranici zeme Edomovej povediac:
24 (UKJV) Aaron shall be gathered unto his people: for he shall not enter into the land which I have given unto the children of Israel, because all of you rebelled against my word at the water of Meribah.
24 (ROH) Áron bude pripojený k svojmu ľudu, lebo nevojde do zeme, ktorú som dal synom Izraelovým, pretože ste sa boli sprotivili môjmu rozkazu pri vodách sváru.
25 (UKJV) Take Aaron and Eleazar his son, and bring them up unto mount Hor:
25 (ROH) Pojmi Árona i Eleazára, jeho syna, a vyveď ich na vrch Hor.
26 (UKJV) And strip Aaron of his garments, and put them upon Eleazar his son: and Aaron shall be gathered unto his people, and shall die there.
26 (ROH) A vyzleč Árona z jeho rúcha a oblečieš do neho Eleazára, jeho syna. A Áron bude pripojený k svojmu ľudu a zomrie tam.
27 (UKJV) And Moses did as the LORD commanded: and they went up into mount Hor in the sight of all the congregation.
27 (ROH) A Mojžiš učinil tak, ako prikázal Hospodin, a vyšli na vrch Hor pred očami celej obce.
28 (UKJV) "And Moses stripped Aaron of his garments, and put them upon Eleazar his son; and Aaron died there in the top of the mount: and Moses and Eleazar came down from the mount. "
28 (ROH) A Mojžiš vyzliekol Árona z jeho rúcha a obliekol do neho Eleazára, jeho syna. A Áron zomrel tam na temene vrchu. A Mojžiš a Eleazár sostúpili s vrchu.
29 (UKJV) And when all the congregation saw that Aaron was dead, they mourned for Aaron thirty days, even all the house of Israel.
29 (ROH) Keď potom videla celá obec, že Áron zomrel, oplakávali ho tridsať dní, celý dom Izraelov.

Verš 3
And the people find fault with Moses, and spoke, saying, Would God that we had died when our brethren died before the LORD!
Nm 16:32 - And the earth opened her mouth, and swallowed them up, and their houses, and all the men that appertained unto Korah, and all their goods.
Nm 16:49 - Now they that died in the plague were fourteen thousand and seven hundred, beside them that died about the matter of Korah.

"Take the rod, and gather you the assembly together, you, and Aaron your brother, and speak all of you unto the rock before their eyes; and it shall give forth his water, and you shall bring forth to them water out of the rock: so you shall give the congregation and their beasts drink. "
Neh 9:15 - And gave them bread from heaven for their hunger, and brought forth water for them out of the rock for their thirst, and promised them that they should go in to possess the land which you had sworn to give them.
Ž 78:15 - He clave the rocks in the wilderness, and gave them drink as out of the great depths.
Ž 105:41 - "He opened the rock, and the waters gushed out; they ran in the dry places like a river. "
Ž 114:8 - Which turned the rock into a standing water, the flint into a fountain of waters.

"And Moses and Aaron gathered the congregation together before the rock, and he said unto them, Hear now, all of you rebels; must we fetch you water out of this rock? "
Ž 106:32 - They angered him also at the waters of strife, so that it went ill with Moses for their sakes:
Dt 32:51 - "Because all of you trespassed against me among the children of Israel at the waters of MeribahKadesh, in the wilderness of Zin; because all of you sanctified me not in the midst of the children of Israel. "

And Moses lifted up his hand, and with his rod he stroke the rock twice: and the water came out abundantly, and the congregation drank, and their beasts also.
Ž 78:15 - He clave the rocks in the wilderness, and gave them drink as out of the great depths.
Ž 105:41 - "He opened the rock, and the waters gushed out; they ran in the dry places like a river. "
Iz 48:21 - And they thirsted not when he led them through the deserts: he caused the waters to flow out of the rock for them: he clave the rock also, and the waters gushed out.
1Kor 10:4 - And did all drink the same spiritual drink: for they drank of that spiritual Rock that followed them: and that Rock was Christ.
Iz 43:20 - The beast of the field shall honour me, the dragons and the owls: because I give waters in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert, to give drink to my people, my chosen.
Verš 12
And the LORD spoke unto Moses and Aaron, Because all of you believed me not, to sanctify me in the eyes of the children of Israel, therefore all of you shall not bring this congregation into the land which I have given them.
Nm 27:14 - For all of you rebelled against my commandment in the desert of Zin, in the strife of the congregation, to sanctify me at the water before their eyes: that is the water of Meribah in Kadesh in the wilderness of Zin.
Dt 1:37 - Also the LORD was angry with me for your sakes, saying, You also shall not go in thither.
Verš 14
And Moses sent messengers from Kadesh unto the king of Edom, Thus says your brother Israel, You know all the travail that has befallen us:
Dt 23:7 - "You shall not detest an Edomite; for he is your brother: you shall not detest an Egyptian; because you were a stranger in his land. "
Abd 1:10 - For your violence against your brother Jacob shame shall cover you, and you shall be cut off for ever.
Abd 1:12 - "But you should not have looked on the day of your brother in the day that he became a stranger; neither should you have rejoiced over the children of Judah in the day of their destruction; neither should you have spoken proudly in the day of distress. "
Verš 16
And when we cried unto the LORD, he heard our voice, and sent an angel, and has brought us forth out of Egypt: and, behold, we are in Kadesh, a city in the uttermost of your border:
Ex 2:23 - And it came to pass in process of time, that the king of Egypt died: and the children of Israel sighed by reason of the bondage, and they cried, and their cry came up unto God by reason of the bondage.
Ex 14:19 - "And the angel of God, which went before the camp of Israel, removed and went behind them; and the pillar of the cloud went from before their face, and stood behind them: "
Verš 21
Thus Edom refused to give Israel passage through his border: wherefore Israel turned away from him.
Sdc 11:18 - Then they went along through the wilderness, and compassed the land of Edom, and the land of Moab, and came by the east side of the land of Moab, and pitched on the other side of Arnon, but came not within the border of Moab: for Arnon was the border of Moab.
Verš 22
And the children of Israel, even the whole congregation, journeyed from Kadesh, and came unto mount Hor.
Nm 33:37 - And they removed from Kadesh, and pitched in mount Hor, in the edge of the land of Edom.
Verš 25
Take Aaron and Eleazar his son, and bring them up unto mount Hor:
Nm 33:38 - And Aaron the priest went up into mount Hor at the commandment of the LORD, and died there, in the fortieth year after the children of Israel were come out of the land of Egypt, in the first day of the fifth month.
Dt 32:50 - "And die in the mount where you go up, and be gathered unto your people; as Aaron your brother died in mount Hor, and was gathered unto his people: "
Verš 28
"And Moses stripped Aaron of his garments, and put them upon Eleazar his son; and Aaron died there in the top of the mount: and Moses and Eleazar came down from the mount. "
Dt 10:6 - "And the children of Israel took their journey from Beeroth of the children of Jaakan to Mosera: there Aaron died, and there he was buried; and Eleazar his son ministered in the priest's office in his position. "
Dt 32:50 - "And die in the mount where you go up, and be gathered unto your people; as Aaron your brother died in mount Hor, and was gathered unto his people: "
Nm 20,1 - O Kádeši pozri Gn 14,7. O Márii porov. Ex 2,4 n.; 15,20; Nm 26,59.
Nm 20,2 - Mojžiš je už unavený, tak ako aj Áron, ustavičným zápasom s nevďačným ľudom. Už mu ani neodvrávajú. Nie div, veď za štyridsať rokov viesť ľud tvrdej a nepoddajnej šije nebolo malou úlohou.
Nm 20,3 - Bratia zahynuli porov. 11,33; 14,37.45; Nm 17,11.12.
Nm 20,8 - Mojžiš už v Egypte robil divy s Pánovou palicou (Ex 4,2; 7,15; 9,23; 10,13; 14,16), aj pri Rafidim vyviedol ňou vodu zo skaly Ex 17,5.6.
Nm 20,10 - Mojžiš vie síce, že Pán môže všetko, myslí však na to, že ľud sa nenapráva, a preto ho trápi myšlienka, či sa Pán teraz zmiluje nad národom. Pochybuje teda, či Pán dá ľudu vodu. Preto mu nepostačuje udrieť skalu raz, robí to dva razy. Chýba mu pevná viera a dôvera. Mojžiš neoslávil Pána, keď neveril v jeho nesmierne milosrdenstvo. Zato sa Pán oslávil sám, keď predsa dal ľudu zázračnú vodu. Lenže pochybujúcich vylučuje zo zasľúbenej zeme, pre ktorú podstúpili toľko obetí a strastí.
Nm 20,13 - Meríba značí zvadu (pozri Ex 17,7). Lenže toto miesto nie je totožné s oným v Rafidim (porov. tiež Dt 32,15 a Ex 17,2 n.).
Nm 20,14-17 - Po skúsenosti, opísanej v Nm 14,45, Mojžiš chce svoj národ viesť do zasľúbenej zeme nie od juhu, ale od východu, a to cestou popod Mŕtve more a potom cez Jordán. Cez územie Edomčanov chce prejsť pokojne, ako priateľ. Posiela poslov, ktorí majú vyjednať pokojný prechod. Pravdepodobne napísal edomskému kráľovi list, v ktorom mu vyložil svoj úmysel. Z pamiatok Tell-el-Amarna sa dozvedáme, že králi už v najstarších časoch vyjednávali medzi sebou "listovne". – O príbuzenstve medzi Edomčanmi a Izraelitmi porov. Gn 25,21–26, o edomských kráľoch Gn 36,31–39, o anjelovi Božom Ex 23,20; Gn 12,7 a Ex 14,19. Kádeš v tom čase patril Amorejčanom.
Nm 20,21 - Porov. hl. 33.
Nm 20,22 - Vrch Hor je neďaleko Kádeša, na severozápadnej strane pohoria Seir.
Nm 20,25-29 - Podľa Dt 10,6 Áron zomrel pri Mosere (Nm 33,30). Vrch Hor bol jeden z končiarov pohoria Moserot.
