1 (HEM) וידבר יהוה אל משה לאמר׃
1 (VUL) Locutusque est Dominus ad Moysen dicens:
1 (KAT) Po tomto Pán povedal Mojžišovi:
1 (UKJV) And the LORD spoke unto Moses, saying,

2 (HEM) דבר אל בני ישראל וקח מאתם מטה מטה לבית אב מאת כל נשיאהם לבית אבתם שנים עשר מטות איש את שמו תכתב על מטהו׃
2 (VUL) “ Praecipe Eleazaro filio Aaron sacerdoti, ut tollat turibula, quae iacent in incendio, et ignem huc illucque dispergat, quoniam sanctificata sunt
2 (KAT) „Hovor s Izraelitmi a vezmi si od nich, od každého kmeňa, po jednej palici, teda od všetkých ich kniežat, od každého kmeňa, spolu dvanásť palíc. Meno každého napíš na jeho palicu!
2 (UKJV) Speak unto the children of Israel, and take of every one of them a rod according to the house of their fathers, of all their princes according to the house of their fathers twelve rods: write you every man's name upon his rod.

3 (HEM) ואת שם אהרן תכתב על מטה לוי כי מטה אחד לראש בית אבותם׃
3 (VUL) in mortibus peccatorum; producatque ea in laminas et affigat altari, eo quod attulerunt ea Domino, et sanctificata sunt, ut sint pro signo filiis Israel ”.
3 (KAT) Na Léviho palicu však napíš Áronovo meno, lebo len jedna palica bude prislúchať domu ich otcov.
3 (UKJV) And you shall write Aaron's name upon the rod of Levi: for one rod shall be for the head of the house of their fathers.

4 (HEM) והנחתם באהל מועד לפני העדות אשר אועד לכם שמה׃
4 (VUL) Tulit ergo Eleazar sacerdos turibula aenea, in quibus obtulerant hi, quos incendium devoravit, et produxit ea in laminas affigens altari,
4 (KAT) Potom ich polož do stánku zjavenia pred zákon, kde sa ti ja zjavujem.
4 (UKJV) And you shall lay them up in the tabernacle of the congregation before the testimony, where I will meet with you.

5 (HEM) והיה האיש אשר אבחר בו מטהו יפרח והשכתי מעלי את תלנות בני ישראל אשר הם מלינם עליכם׃
5 (VUL) ut haberent postea filii Israel, quibus commonerentur, ne quis accedat alienigena et, qui non est de semine Aaron, ad offerendum incensum Domino, ne patiatur sicut passus est Core et omnis congregatio eius, loquente Domino ad Moysen.
5 (KAT) Palica toho, ktorého som si vyvolil, vypučí. Takto pred sebou umlčím šomranie Izraelitov, ktorým broja proti vám.“
5 (UKJV) And it shall come to pass, that the man's rod, whom I shall choose, shall blossom: and I will make to cease from me the murmurings of the children of Israel, whereby they murmur against you.

6 (HEM) וידבר משה אל בני ישראל ויתנו אליו כל נשיאיהם מטה לנשיא אחד מטה לנשיא אחד לבית אבתם שנים עשר מטות ומטה אהרן בתוך מטותם׃
6 (VUL) Murmuravit autem omnis congregatio filiorum Israel sequenti die contra Moysen et Aaron dicens: “ Vos interfecistis populum Domini ”.
6 (KAT) Keď to Mojžiš oznámil Izraelitom a keď mu všetky kniežatá dali svoje palice, každé knieža jednu, kmeň po kmeni, spolu teda dvanásť palíc - a medzi ich palicami bola aj Áronova palica -,
6 (UKJV) And Moses spoke unto the children of Israel, and every one of their princes gave him a rod apiece, for each prince one, according to their fathers' houses, even twelve rods: and the rod of Aaron was among their rods.

7 (HEM) וינח משה את המטת לפני יהוה באהל העדת׃
7 (VUL) Cumque oriretur seditio contra Moysen et Aaron, converterunt se ad tabernaculum conventus; quod operuit nubes, et apparuit gloria Domini.
7 (KAT) Mojžiš položil palice pred Pána v stánku zjavenia.
7 (UKJV) And Moses laid up the rods before the LORD in the tabernacle of witness.

8 (HEM) ויהי ממחרת ויבא משה אל אהל העדות והנה פרח מטה אהרן לבית לוי ויצא פרח ויצץ ציץ ויגמל שקדים׃
8 (VUL) Moyses et Aaron venerunt ante tabernaculum conventus.
8 (KAT) Keď potom Mojžiš na druhý deň vošiel do stánku zákona, Áronova palica, tá, čo patrila kmeňu Léviho, vypučala! Vyhnala puky a rozkvitla a boli na nej dozreté mandle.
8 (UKJV) "And it came to pass, that on the next day Moses went into the tabernacle of witness; and, behold, the rod of Aaron for the house of Levi was budded, and brought forth buds, and bloomed blossoms, and yielded almonds. "

9 (HEM) ויצא משה את כל המטת מלפני יהוה אל כל בני ישראל ויראו ויקחו איש מטהו׃
9 (VUL) Dixitque Dominus ad Moysen:
9 (KAT) Tu Mojžiš vyniesol všetky palice spred Pána ku všetkým Izraelitom. Oni ich poznali a každý si vzal svoju palicu.
9 (UKJV) And Moses brought out all the rods from before the LORD unto all the children of Israel: and they looked, and took every man his rod.

10 (HEM) ויאמר יהוה אל משה השב את מטה אהרן לפני העדות למשמרת לאות לבני מרי ותכל תלונתם מעלי ולא ימתו׃
10 (VUL) “ Recedite de medio congregationis huius, nam extemplo delebo eos ”. Et ceciderunt in faciem suam.
10 (KAT) Pán však povedal Mojžišovi: „Áronovu palicu polož späť pred zákon, aby sa zachovala na výstražné znamenie pre poburovačov, aby bol koniec ich reptaniu predo mnou a aby oni nemuseli umierať.“
10 (UKJV) "And the LORD said unto Moses, Bring Aaron's rod again before the testimony, to be kept for a token against the rebels; and you shall quite take away their murmurings from me, that they die not. "

11 (HEM) ויעש משה כאשר צוה יהוה אתו כן עשה׃
11 (VUL) Dixit Moyses ad Aaron: “ Tolle turibulum et, hausto igne de altari, mitte incensum desuper pergens cito ad populum, ut expies pro eis; iam enim egressa est ira a Domino, et plaga desaevit ”.
11 (KAT) A Mojžiš to urobil. Ako mu Pán prikázal, tak urobil.
11 (UKJV) And Moses did so: as the LORD commanded him, so did he.

12 (HEM) ויאמרו בני ישראל אל משה לאמר הן גוענו אבדנו כלנו אבדנו׃
12 (VUL) Quod cum fecisset Aaron et cucurrisset ad mediam congregationem, quam iam vastabat plaga, obtulit thymiama et expiavit pro populo;
12 (KAT) Izraeliti potom vraveli Mojžišovi: „Pomrieme! Sme stratení, celkom stratení! Veď ktokoľvek sa priblíži k Pánovmu stánku, musí zomrieť! Vari máme všetci do jedného pohynúť?!“
12 (UKJV) And the children of Israel spoke unto Moses, saying, Behold, we die, we perish, we all perish.

13 (HEM) כל הקרב הקרב אל משכן יהוה ימות האם תמנו לגוע׃
13 (VUL) et stetit inter mortuos ac viventes, et plaga cessavit.
13 ----
13 (UKJV) Whosoever comes any thing near unto the tabernacle of the LORD shall die: shall we be consumed with dying?

14 ----
14 (VUL) Fuerunt autem, qui percussi sunt, quattuordecim milia hominum et septingenti, absque his, qui perierant in seditione Core.

15 (VUL) Reversusque est Aaron ad Moysen ad ostium tabernaculi conventus, postquam quievit interitus.

16 (VUL) Et locutus est Dominus ad Moysen dicens:

17 (VUL) “ Loquere ad filios Israel et accipe ab eis virgas singulas per cognationes suas, a cunctis principibus tribuum virgas duodecim, et uniuscuiusque nomen superscribes virgae suae.

18 (VUL) Nomen autem Aaron scribes in virga Levi, et una virga cunctas seorsum familias continebit.

19 (VUL) Ponesque eas in tabernaculo conventus coram testimonio, ubi conveniam cum vobis.

20 (VUL) Quem ex his elegero, germinabit virga eius; et cohibebo a me querimonias filiorum Israel, quibus contra vos murmurant ”.

21 (VUL) Locutusque est Moyses ad filios Israel, et dederunt ei omnes principes virgas per singulas tribus; fueruntque virgae duodecim, et virga Aaron in medio earum.

22 (VUL) Quas cum posuisset Moyses coram Domino in tabernaculo testimonii,

23 (VUL) sequenti die regressus invenit germinasse virgam Aaron in domo Levi; et turgentibus gemmis eruperant flores, qui, foliis dilatatis, in amygdalas deformati sunt.

24 (VUL) Protulit ergo Moyses omnes virgas de conspectu Domini ad cunctos filios Israel; videruntque et receperunt singuli virgas suas.

25 (VUL) Dixitque Dominus ad Moysen: “ Refer virgam Aaron coram testimonio, ut servetur ibi in signum rebellium filiorum Israel, et quiescant querelae eorum a me, ne moriantur ”.

26 (VUL) Fecitque Moyses, sicut praeceperat Dominus.

27 (VUL) Dixerunt autem filii Israel ad Moysen: “ Ecce consumpti sumus, perimus, omnes perimus!

28 (VUL) Quicumque accedit ad habitaculum Domini, moritur. Num usque ad internecionem cuncti delendi sumus? ”.
