1 (HEM) ותשא כל העדה ויתנו את קולם ויבכו העם בלילה ההוא׃
1 (VUL) Igitur vociferans omnis tur ba flevit nocte illa,
1 (KAT) Tu sa dal všetok ľud do kriku a národ nariekal cez celú noc,
1 (UKJV) "And all the congregation lifted up their voice, and cried; and the people wept that night. "

2 (HEM) וילנו על משה ועל אהרן כל בני ישראל ויאמרו אלהם כל העדה לו מתנו בארץ מצרים או במדבר הזה לו מתנו׃
2 (VUL) et mur murati sunt contra Moysen et Aaron cuncti filii Israel dicentes: “ Utinam mortui essemus in Aegypto vel in hac vasta solitudine!
2 (KAT) všetci Izraeliti reptali proti Mojžišovi a Áronovi a celá pospolitosť im vravela: „Ach, keby sme boli radšej pomreli v Egypte alebo tu na púšti! Kiežby sme boli mŕtvi!
2 (UKJV) And all the children of Israel murmured against Moses and against Aaron: and the whole congregation said unto them, Would God that we had died in the land of Egypt! or would God we had died in this wilderness!

3 (HEM) ולמה יהוה מביא אתנו אל הארץ הזאת לנפל בחרב נשינו וטפנו יהיו לבז הלוא טוב לנו שוב מצרימה׃
3 (VUL) Cur inducit nos Dominus in terram istam, ut cadamus gladio, et uxores ac liberi nostri ducantur captivi? Nonne melius est reverti in Aegyptum? ”.
3 (KAT) Prečo nás chce Pán voviesť do tejto krajiny?! Aby sme pohynuli mečom? Či sa majú naše ženy a malé deti stať korisťou? Nebude vari pre nás lepšie vrátiť sa do Egypta?“
3 (UKJV) And wherefore has the LORD brought us unto this land, to fall by the sword, that our wives and our children should be a prey? were it not better for us to return into Egypt?

4 (HEM) ויאמרו איש אל אחיו נתנה ראש ונשובה מצרימה׃
4 (VUL) Dixeruntque alter ad alterum: “ Constituamus nobis ducem et revertamur in Aegyptum! ”.
4 (KAT) A hovorili si: „Vyvoľme si vodcu a vráťme sa do Egypta!“
4 (UKJV) And they said one to another, Let us make a captain, and let us return into Egypt.

5 (HEM) ויפל משה ואהרן על פניהם לפני כל קהל עדת בני ישראל׃
5 (VUL) Quo audito, Moyses et Aaron ceciderunt proni in terram coram omni congregatione filiorum Israel.
5 (KAT) Keď to Mojžiš a Áron počuli, vrhli sa pred celou izraelskou pospolitosťou tvárou na zem.
5 (UKJV) Then Moses and Aaron fell on their faces before all the assembly of the congregation of the children of Israel.

6 (HEM) ויהושע בן נון וכלב בן יפנה מן התרים את הארץ קרעו בגדיהם׃
6 (VUL) At vero Iosue filius Nun et Chaleb filius Iephonne, qui et ipsi lustraverant terram, sciderunt vestimenta sua
6 (KAT) Nunov syn Jozue a Jefonov syn Kaleb, ktorí boli tiež na výzvedách v krajine, roztrhli si odev
6 (UKJV) And Joshua the son of Nun, and Caleb the son of Jephunneh, which were of them that searched the land, rent their clothes:

7 (HEM) ויאמרו אל כל עדת בני ישראל לאמר הארץ אשר עברנו בה לתור אתה טובה הארץ מאד מאד׃
7 (VUL) et ad omnem congregationem filiorum Israel locuti sunt: “ Terra, quam circuivimus, valde bona est.
7 (KAT) a povedali celej izraelskej pospolitosti: „Krajina, ktorú sme poprechodili, aby sme ju prezreli, je veľmi dobrá krajina.
7 (UKJV) And they spoke unto all the company of the children of Israel, saying, The land, which we passed through to search it, is an exceeding good land.

8 (HEM) אם חפץ בנו יהוה והביא אתנו אל הארץ הזאת ונתנה לנו ארץ אשר הוא זבת חלב ודבש׃
8 (VUL) Si propitius fuerit Dominus, inducet nos in eam et tradet humum lacte et melle manantem.
8 (KAT) Ak je nám Pán naklonený, vovedie nás do tejto krajiny a dá nám ju. Je to krajina, ktorá oplýva mliekom a medom.
8 (UKJV) "If the LORD delight in us, then he will bring us into this land, and give it us; a land which flows with milk and honey. "

9 (HEM) אך ביהוה אל תמרדו ואתם אל תיראו את עם הארץ כי לחמנו הם סר צלם מעליהם ויהוה אתנו אל תיראם׃
9 (VUL) Nolite rebelles esse contra Dominum neque timeatis populum terrae huius, quia sicut panem ita eos possumus devorare. Recessit ab eis omne praesidium; Dominus nobiscum est, nolite metuere ”.
9 (KAT) Nedvíhajte sa proti Pánovi a nebojte sa ľudu tej krajiny, lebo ich môžeme zničiť! Ich ochrana ich opustila, s nami je však Pán. Nebojte sa!“
9 (UKJV) "Only rebel not all of you against the LORD, neither fear all of you the people of the land; for they are bread for us: their defence is departed from them, and the LORD is with us: fear them not. "

10 (HEM) ויאמרו כל העדה לרגום אתם באבנים וכבוד יהוה נראה באהל מועד אל כל בני ישראל׃
10 (VUL) Cumque clamaret omnis congregatio et lapidibus eos vellet opprimere, apparuit gloria Domini super tabernaculum conventus cunctis filiis Israel,
10 (KAT) Keď sa celá pospolitosť chystala ukameňovať ich, zjavila sa nad stánkom zjavenia všetkým Izraelitom Pánova sláva.
10 (UKJV) But all the congregation bade stone them with stones. And the glory of the LORD appeared in the tabernacle of the congregation before all the children of Israel.

11 (HEM) ויאמר יהוה אל משה עד אנה ינאצני העם הזה ועד אנה לא יאמינו בי בכל האתות אשר עשיתי בקרבו׃
11 (VUL) et dixit Dominus ad Moysen: “ Usquequo detrahet mihi populus iste? Quousque non credent mihi in omnibus signis, quae feci coram eis?
11 (KAT) A Pán hovoril Mojžišovi: „Ako dlho ma ešte bude tento ľud tupiť? Dokedy mi bude odopierať vieru popri všetkých znameniach, ktoré som medzi vami urobil?
11 (UKJV) And the LORD said unto Moses, How long will this people provoke me? and how long will it be before they believe me, for all the signs which I have showed among them?

12 (HEM) אכנו בדבר ואורשנו ואעשה אתך לגוי גדול ועצום ממנו׃
12 (VUL) Feriam igitur eos pestilentia atque consumam; te autem faciam in gentem magnam et fortiorem quam haec est ”.
12 (KAT) Budem ho biť morom a vyničím ho! Teba však urobím národom väčším a početnejším, ako je tento!“
12 (UKJV) I will strike them with the pestilence, and disinherit them, and will make of you a greater nation and mightier than they.

13 (HEM) ויאמר משה אל יהוה ושמעו מצרים כי העלית בכחך את העם הזה מקרבו׃
13 (VUL) Et ait Moyses ad Dominum: ? Audient Aegyptii, de quorum medio eduxisti populum istum in virtute tua,
13 (KAT) Ale Mojžiš vravel Pánovi: „Egypťania počuli, že ty si z ich stredu vyviedol tento ľud svojou mocou;
13 (UKJV) "And Moses said unto the LORD, Then the Egyptians shall hear it, (for you brought up this people in your might from among them;) "

14 (HEM) ואמרו אל יושב הארץ הזאת שמעו כי אתה יהוה בקרב העם הזה אשר עין בעין נראה אתה יהוה ועננך עמד עלהם ובעמד ענן אתה הלך לפניהם יומם ובעמוד אש לילה׃
14 (VUL) et dicent ad habitatores terrae huius, quia audierunt quod tu, Domine, in populo isto sis et facie videaris ad faciem, et nubes tua protegat illos, et in columna nubis praecedas eos per diem et in columna ignis per noctem.
14 (KAT) a obyvatelia tejto krajiny hovoria, že ty, Pán, bývaš uprostred tohto ľudu, že ideš pred ním cez deň vo svojom oblačnom stĺpe a za noci v stĺpe ohnivom.
14 (UKJV) And they will tell it to the inhabitants of this land: for they have heard that you LORD are among this people, that you LORD are seen face to face, and that your cloud stands over them, and that you go before them, by day time in a pillar of a cloud, and in a pillar of fire by night.

15 (HEM) והמתה את העם הזה כאיש אחד ואמרו הגוים אשר שמעו את שמעך לאמר׃
15 (VUL) Et occidisti hunc populum quasi unum hominem, et dicent gentes, quae audierunt auditum tuum:
15 (KAT) Ak jedným úderom zabiješ tento národ, tak národy, ktoré počuli zvesť o tebe, povedia:
15 (UKJV) Now if you shall kill all this people as one man, then the nations which have heard the fame of you will speak, saying,

16 (HEM) מבלתי יכלת יהוה להביא את העם הזה אל הארץ אשר נשבע להם וישחטם במדבר׃
16 (VUL) "Non poterat Dominus introducere populum in terram, pro qua iuraverat, idcirco occidit eos in solitudine!".
16 (KAT) »Pretože Pán nemohol voviesť tento ľud do krajiny, ktorú im prísahou prisľúbil, pobil ich na púšti!«
16 (UKJV) Because the LORD was not able to bring this people into the land which he swore unto them, therefore he has slain them in the wilderness.

17 (HEM) ועתה יגדל נא כח אדני כאשר דברת לאמר׃
17 (VUL) Magnificetur ergo fortitudo Domini, sicut iurasti dicens:
17 (KAT) Nech sa ukáže moc môjho Pána vo svojej veľkosti, ako si hovoril:
17 (UKJV) And now, I plead to you, let the power of my LORD be great, according as you have spoken, saying,

18 (HEM) יהוה ארך אפים ורב חסד נשא עון ופשע ונקה לא ינקה פקד עון אבות על בנים על שלשים ועל רבעים׃
18 (VUL) "Dominus patiens et multae misericordiae, auferens iniquitatem et scelera nullumque innoxium derelinquens, qui visitas peccata patrum in filios in tertiam et quartam generationem".
18 (KAT) Pán je zhovievavý a veľmi milostivý, odpúšťa hriechy a poklesky. Nikoho však nenechá bez trestu, navštevuje hriechy otcov na deťoch až do tretieho a štvrtého pokolenia.
18 (UKJV) The LORD is longsuffering, and of great mercy, forgiving iniquity and transgression, and by no means clearing the guilty, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation.

19 (HEM) סלח נא לעון העם הזה כגדל חסדך וכאשר נשאתה לעם הזה ממצרים ועד הנה׃
19 (VUL) Dimitte obsecro peccatum populi huius secundum magnitudinem misericordiae tuae, sicut propitius fuisti populo huic de Aegypto usque ad locum istum ”.
19 (KAT) Nuž odpusť hriech tomuto ľudu podľa svojho milosrdenstva, ako si tomuto ľudu odpúšťal od odchodu z Egypta až doteraz!“
19 (UKJV) Pardon, I plead to you, the iniquity of this people according unto the greatness of your mercy, and as you have forgiven this people, from Egypt even until now.

20 (HEM) ויאמר יהוה סלחתי כדברך׃
20 (VUL) Dixitque Dominus: “ Dimisi iuxta verbum tuum.
20 (KAT) Pán odpovedal: „Odpustím, ako si prosil.
20 (UKJV) And the LORD said, I have pardoned according to your word:

21 (HEM) ואולם חי אני וימלא כבוד יהוה את כל הארץ׃
21 (VUL) Vivo ego, et implebit gloria Domini universam terram!
21 (KAT) Ale ako žijem a ako Pánova sláva napĺňa celú zem,
21 (UKJV) But as truly as I live, all the earth shall be filled with the glory of the LORD.

22 (HEM) כי כל האנשים הראים את כבדי ואת אתתי אשר עשיתי במצרים ובמדבר וינסו אתי זה עשר פעמים ולא שמעו בקולי׃
22 (VUL) Attamen omnes homines, qui viderunt maiestatem meam et signa, quae feci in Aegypto et in solitudine, et tentaverunt me iam per decem vices nec oboedierunt voci meae,
22 (KAT) tak všetci mužovia, ktorí videli moju slávu a moje znamenia, ktoré som robil v Egypte a na púšti, a pritom ma pokúšali desať ráz a nepočúvali môj hlas,
22 (UKJV) "Because all those men which have seen my glory, and my miracles, which I did in Egypt and in the wilderness, and have tempted me now these ten times, and have not hearkened to my voice; "

23 (HEM) אם יראו את הארץ אשר נשבעתי לאבתם וכל מנאצי לא יראוה׃
23 (VUL) non videbunt terram, pro qua iuravi patribus eorum; nec quisquam ex illis, qui detraxit mihi, intuebitur eam.
23 (KAT) neuvidia krajinu, ktorú som prísahou sľúbil vašim otcom.
23 (UKJV) Surely they shall not see the land which I swore unto their fathers, neither shall any of them that provoked me see it:

24 (HEM) ועבדי כלב עקב היתה רוח אחרת עמו וימלא אחרי והביאתיו אל הארץ אשר בא שמה וזרעו יורשנה׃
24 (VUL) Servum meum Chaleb, qui plenus alio spiritu secutus est me, inducam in terram hanc, quam circuivit, et semen eius possidebit eam.
24 (KAT) Svojho služobníka Kaleba však vovediem do krajiny - do ktorej už vkročil - za odmenu, že bol naplnený iným duchom a že mi ostal verný. Jeho potomstvo ju prevezme do vlastníctva.
24 (UKJV) "But my servant Caleb, because he had another spirit with him, and has followed me fully, him will I bring into the land into where he went; and his seed shall possess it. "

25 (HEM) והעמלקי והכנעני יושב בעמק מחר פנו וסעו לכם המדבר דרך ים סוף׃
25 (VUL) Quoniam Amalecites et Chananaeus habitant in vallibus, cras movete castra et revertimini in solitudinem per viam maris Rubri ”.
25 (KAT) Amalekiti a Kanaánčania ostanú však bývať na rovine. Preto sa ráno pohnite a vráťte sa na púšť cestou k Červenému moru!“
25 (UKJV) (Now the Amalekites and the Canaanites dwelt in the valley.) Tomorrow turn you, and get you into the wilderness by the way of the Red sea.

26 (HEM) וידבר יהוה אל משה ואל אהרן לאמר׃
26 (VUL) Locutusque est Dominus ad Moysen et Aaron dicens:
26 (KAT) Ďalej Pán hovoril Mojžišovi a Áronovi:
26 (UKJV) And the LORD spoke unto Moses and unto Aaron, saying,

27 (HEM) עד מתי לעדה הרעה הזאת אשר המה מלינים עלי את תלנות בני ישראל אשר המה מלינים עלי שמעתי׃
27 (VUL) “ Usquequo congregatio haec pessima murmurat contra me? Querelas filiorum Israel audivi.
27 (KAT) „Dokedy ešte bude tento naničhodný ľud proti mne reptať? Počul som tupenie Izraelitov, ktorým sa previnili voči mne.
27 (UKJV) How long shall I bear with this evil congregation, which murmur against me? I have heard the murmurings of the children of Israel, which they murmur against me.

28 (HEM) אמר אלהם חי אני נאם יהוה אם לא כאשר דברתם באזני כן אעשה לכם׃
28 (VUL) Dic ergo eis: Vivo ego, ait Dominus, sicut locuti estis, audiente me, sic faciam vobis!
28 (KAT) Povedz im teda: Tak, ako žijem - to je Pánov výrok -, naložím s vami tak, ako ste si otvorene odo mňa žiadali.
28 (UKJV) Say unto them, As truly as I live, says the LORD, as all of you have spoken in mine ears, so will I do to you:

29 (HEM) במדבר הזה יפלו פגריכם וכל פקדיכם לכל מספרכם מבן עשרים שנה ומעלה אשר הלינתם עלי׃
29 (VUL) In solitudine hac iacebunt cadavera vestra. Omnes, qui numerati estis a viginti annis et supra et murmurastis contra me,
29 (KAT) Tu na púšti popadajú vaše telá. Vy všetci, čo ste boli prehliadnutí, vy všetci bez výnimky od dvadsiateho roku nahor, lebo ste reptali proti mne.
29 (UKJV) "Your carcasses shall fall in this wilderness; and all that were numbered of you, according to your whole number, from twenty years old and upward which have murmured against me. "

30 (HEM) אם אתם תבאו אל הארץ אשר נשאתי את ידי לשכן אתכם בה כי אם כלב בן יפנה ויהושע בן נון׃
30 (VUL) non intrabitis terram, super quam levavi manum meam, ut habitare vos facerem, praeter Chaleb filium Iephonne et Iosue filium Nun.
30 (KAT) Nik z vás nevojde do krajiny, o ktorej som so zdvihnutou rukou sľúbil, že vám ju dám, okrem Jefonovho syna Kaleba a Nunovho syna Jozueho.
30 (UKJV) Doubtless all of you shall not come into the land, concerning which I swore to make you dwell therein, save Caleb the son of Jephunneh, and Joshua the son of Nun.

31 (HEM) וטפכם אשר אמרתם לבז יהיה והביאתי אתם וידעו את הארץ אשר מאסתם בה׃
31 (VUL) Parvulos autem vestros, de quibus dixistis quod praedae hostibus forent, introducam, ut videant terram, quae vobis displicuit.
31 (KAT) Vaše malé deti však, o ktorých ste vraveli, že budú korisťou, tie tam vovediem a ony spoznajú krajinu, ktorou ste vy pohrdli.
31 (UKJV) But your little ones, which all of you said should be a prey, them will I bring in, and they shall know the land which all of you have despised.

32 (HEM) ופגריכם אתם יפלו במדבר הזה׃
32 (VUL) Vestra cadavera iacebunt in solitudine hac;
32 (KAT) Vaše mŕtve telá sa rozpadnú tu na púšti
32 (UKJV) But as for you, your carcasses, they shall fall in this wilderness.

33 (HEM) ובניכם יהיו רעים במדבר ארבעים שנה ונשאו את זנותיכם עד תם פגריכם במדבר׃
33 (VUL) filii vestri erunt pastores in deserto annis quadraginta et portabunt fornicationem vestram, donec consumantur cadavera vestra in deserto.
33 (KAT) a vaši synovia budú štyridsať rokov blúdiť po púšti a budú pykať za váš odpad, kým ich telá nepohynú na púšti.
33 (UKJV) And your children shall wander in the wilderness forty years, and bear your whoredoms, until your carcasses be wasted in the wilderness.

34 (HEM) במספר הימים אשר תרתם את הארץ ארבעים יום יום לשנה יום לשנה תשאו את עונתיכם ארבעים שנה וידעתם את תנואתי׃
34 (VUL) Iuxta numerum quadraginta dierum, quibus considerastis terram annus pro die imputabitur quadraginta annis portabitis iniquitates vestras et scietis ultionem meam.
34 (KAT) Bude to podľa počtu dní, v ktorých ste sa vyzvedali o krajine, štyridsať dní, rátajúc deň za rok, budete pykať za svoje pochybenie. Teda štyridsať rokov, aby ste poznali, čo znamená, keď sa ja vzdialim.
34 (UKJV) After the number of the days in which all of you searched the land, even forty days, each day for a year, shall all of you bear your iniquities, even forty years, and all of you shall know my breach of promise.

35 (HEM) אני יהוה דברתי אם לא זאת אעשה לכל העדה הרעה הזאת הנועדים עלי במדבר הזה יתמו ושם ימתו׃
35 (VUL) Ego Dominus locutus sum, ita faciam omni congregationi huic pessimae, quae consurrexit adversum me: in solitudine hac deficiet et morietur ”.
35 (KAT) To som povedal ja, Pán! Naozaj toto urobím celému tomuto naničhodnému ľudu, ktorý sa proti mne spolčil. Tu na púšti pohynú, tu oni pohynú!“
35 (UKJV) I the LORD have said, I will surely do it unto all this evil congregation, that are gathered together against me: in this wilderness they shall be consumed, and there they shall die.

36 (HEM) והאנשים אשר שלח משה לתור את הארץ וישבו וילונו עליו את כל העדה להוציא דבה על הארץ׃
36 (VUL) Igitur omnes viri, quos miserat Moyses ad contemplandam terram et qui reversi murmurare fecerant contra eum omnem congregationem detrahentes terrae quod esset mala,
36 (KAT) Mužovia, ktorých Mojžiš poslal preskúmať krajinu a ktorí po svojom návrate popudili celú pospolitosť na reptanie tým, že rozprávali o krajine nepravdy,
36 (UKJV) And the men, which Moses sent to search the land, who returned, and made all the congregation to murmur against him, by bringing up a slander upon the land,

37 (HEM) וימתו האנשים מוצאי דבת הארץ רעה במגפה לפני יהוה׃
37 (VUL) mortui sunt atque percussi in conspectu Domini.
37 (KAT) tí mužovia, čo rozprávali zlomyseľne o krajine, pomreli náhlou smrťou pred Pánom.
37 (UKJV) Even those men that did bring up the evil report upon the land, died by the plague before the LORD.

38 (HEM) ויהושע בן נון וכלב בן יפנה חיו מן האנשים ההם ההלכים לתור את הארץ׃
38 (VUL) Iosue autem filius Nun et Chaleb filius Iephonne vixerunt ex omnibus, qui perrexerant ad considerandam terram.
38 (KAT) Iba Nunov syn Jozue a Jefonov syn Kaleb ostali nažive z tých, čo boli preskúmať krajinu.
38 (UKJV) But Joshua the son of Nun, and Caleb the son of Jephunneh, which were of the men that went to search the land, lived still.

39 (HEM) וידבר משה את הדברים האלה אל כל בני ישראל ויתאבלו העם מאד׃
39 (VUL) Locutusque est Moyses universa verba haec ad omnes filios Israel, et luxit populus nimis.
39 (KAT) Keď Mojžiš oznámil celému ľudu tieto slová, ľud veľmi zosmutnel.
39 (UKJV) And Moses told these sayings unto all the children of Israel: and the people mourned greatly.

40 (HEM) וישכמו בבקר ויעלו אל ראש ההר לאמר הננו ועלינו אל המקום אשר אמר יהוה כי חטאנו׃
40 (VUL) Et ecce mane primo surgentes ascenderunt verticem montis atque dixerunt: “ Parati sumus ascendere ad locum, de quo Dominus locutus est, quia peccavimus ”.
40 (KAT) Na druhý deň zavčas rána vstali, išli na temeno vrchu a vraveli: „Sme ochotní tiahnuť na miesto, o ktorom hovoril Pán, lebo sme zhrešili.“
40 (UKJV) And they rose up early in the morning, and got them up into the top of the mountain, saying, Lo, we be here, and will go up unto the place which the LORD has promised: for we have sinned.

41 (HEM) ויאמר משה למה זה אתם עברים את פי יהוה והוא לא תצלח׃
41 (VUL) Quibus Moyses: “ Cur, inquit, transgredimini verbum Domini, quod vobis non cedet in prosperum?
41 (KAT) Mojžiš im však odvrával: „Prečo chcete prestúpiť Pánov rozkaz?! To sa vám nepodarí!
41 (UKJV) And Moses said, Wherefore now do all of you transgress the commandment of the LORD? but it shall not prosper.

42 (HEM) אל תעלו כי אין יהוה בקרבכם ולא תנגפו לפני איביכם׃
42 (VUL) Nolite ascendere, non enim est Dominus vobiscum, ne corruatis coram inimicis vestris!
42 (KAT) Nevystupujte, lebo Pán nie je uprostred vás a vaši nepriatelia vás porazia.
42 (UKJV) "Go not up, for the LORD is not among you; that all of you be not smitten before your enemies. "

43 (HEM) כי העמלקי והכנעני שם לפניכם ונפלתם בחרב כי על כן שבתם מאחרי יהוה ולא יהיה יהוה עמכם׃
43 (VUL) Amalecites et Chananaeus ante vos sunt, quorum gladio corruetis, eo quod nolueritis acquiescere Domino, nec erit Dominus vobiscum ”.
43 (KAT) Veď tam budú proti vám Amalekiti a Kanaánčania a vy padnete mečom. Odvrátili ste sa od Pána, preto ani Pán nebude s vami!“
43 (UKJV) For the Amalekites and the Canaanites are there before you, and all of you shall fall by the sword: because all of you are turned away from the LORD, therefore the LORD will not be with you.

44 (HEM) ויעפלו לעלות אל ראש ההר וארון ברית יהוה ומשה לא משו מקרב המחנה׃
