1 (CPDV) And Miriam and Aaron spoke against Moses, because of his wife, an Ethiopian,
1 (ROH) A Mária a Áron hovorili proti Mojžišovi pre jeho ženu Ethiopku, ktorú si vzal, lebo si vzal ženu Ethiopku.

2 (CPDV) and they said: “Has the Lord spoken only through Moses? Has he not also spoken similarly to us?” And when the Lord had heard this,
2 (ROH) Povedali: Či len s Mojžišom hovoril Hospodin? Či azda nehovoril aj s nami? A počul to Hospodin.

3 (CPDV) (for Moses was a man exceedingly meek, beyond all the men who were living upon the earth)
3 (ROH) A Mojžiš bol veľmi pokorný človek, pokornejší od všetkých ľudí, ktorí boli na tvári zeme.

4 (CPDV) immediately he spoke to him, and to Aaron and Miriam, “Go out, you three only, to the tabernacle of the covenant.” And when they had gone out,
4 (ROH) A hneď povedal Hospodin Mojžišovi, Áronovi a Márii: Vyjdite vy traja ku stánu shromaždenia. A vyšli oni traja.

5 (CPDV) the Lord descended in a column of cloud, and he stood at the entrance of the tabernacle, calling to Aaron and Miriam. And when they had advanced,
5 (ROH) Vtedy sostúpil Hospodin v oblakovom stĺpe a stál pri dveriach stánu a zavolal Árona a Máriu, a vyšli oni dvaja.

6 (CPDV) he said to them: “Listen to my words. If there will be among you a prophet of the Lord, I will appear to him in a vision, or I will speak to him through a dream.
6 (ROH) A riekol: Nože počujte moje slová: Ak máte kedy proroka Hospodinovho, dám sa mu poznať vo videní, vo snách hovorím s ním.

7 (CPDV) But it is not so with my servant Moses, who is the most faithful in all my house.
7 (ROH) Nie tak môj služobník Mojžiš, ktorý je verný v celom mojom dome.

8 (CPDV) For I speak with him mouth to mouth, and plainly. And not through enigmas and figures does he perceive the Lord. Therefore, why were you not afraid to disparage my servant Moses?”
8 (ROH) Ústa k ústam hovorím s ním a zjavne, a nie v záhadnej reči, a hľadí na podobu Hospodinovu. Nuž prečože ste sa nebáli hovoriť proti môjmu služobníkovi Mojžišovi?

9 (CPDV) And being angry against them, he went away.
9 (ROH) A zapálil sa na nich hnev Hospodinov, a odišiel.

10 (CPDV) Likewise, the cloud which was over the tabernacle withdrew. And behold, Miriam appeared to be white with a leprosy, like snow. And when Aaron had looked upon her, and he had seen the spreading of the leprosy,
10 (ROH) A uhnul aj oblak zponad stánu. A hľa, Mária bola malomocná, biela jako sneh. A keď pozrel Áron na Máriu, hľa, bola malomocná.

11 (CPDV) he said to Moses: “I beg you, my lord, not to impose upon us this sin, which we have committed foolishly.
11 (ROH) Vtedy riekol Áron Mojžišovi: Vypočuj ma, môj pane, neskladaj, prosím, na nás hriechu, pretože sme sa dopustili bláznovstva a že sme hrešili.

12 (CPDV) Do not let this one be like one who is dead, or like an abortion that has been cast from the womb of her mother. Behold, half of her flesh is already consumed by leprosy.”
12 (ROH) Nech nie je, prosím, ako mŕtvy, ktorý, keď vychádza zo života svojej matky, má polovicu svojho tela strávenú.

13 (CPDV) And Moses cried out to the Lord, saying, “O God, I beg you: heal her.”
13 (ROH) A Mojžiš volal na Hospodina a vravel: Ó, silný Bože, prosím, uzdrav ju!

14 (CPDV) And the Lord answered him: “If her father had spit on her face, should she not have been filled with shame for at least seven days? Let her be separated, outside the camp, for seven days, and after that, she will be called back.”
14 (ROH) A Hospodin riekol Mojžišovi: A čo, keby jej jej otec napľul do tvári, či by sa nemusela hanbiť sedem dní? Zatvorí sa na sedem dní vonku za táborom, a potom sa zase vovedie.

15 (CPDV) And so Miriam was excluded from the camp for seven days. And the people did not move from that place, until Miriam was called back.
15 (ROH) A tak bola Mária zatvorená vonku za táborom sedem dní. A ľud sa nehnul ďalej, až zase doviedli Máriu.
