Mal 3, 1-18

1 (HEM) הנני שלח מלאכי ופנה דרך לפני ופתאם יבוא אל היכלו האדון אשר אתם מבקשים ומלאך הברית אשר אתם חפצים הנה בא אמר יהוה צבאות׃
1 (UKJV) Behold, I will send my messenger, and he shall prepare the way before me: and the LORD, whom all of you seek, shall suddenly come to his temple, even the messenger of the covenant, whom all of you delight in: behold, he shall come, says the LORD of hosts.

2 (HEM) ומי מכלכל את יום בואו ומי העמד בהראותו כי הוא כאש מצרף וכברית מכבסים׃
2 (UKJV) But who may abide the day of his coming? and who shall stand when he appears? for he is like a refiner's fire, and like fullers' soap:

3 (HEM) וישב מצרף ומטהר כסף וטהר את בני לוי וזקק אתם כזהב וככסף והיו ליהוה מגישי מנחה בצדקה׃
3 (UKJV) And he shall sit as a refiner and purifier of silver: and he shall purify the sons of Levi, and purge them as gold and silver, that they may offer unto the LORD an offering in righteousness.

4 (HEM) וערבה ליהוה מנחת יהודה וירושלם כימי עולם וכשנים קדמניות׃
4 (UKJV) Then shall the offering of Judah and Jerusalem be pleasant unto the LORD, as in the days of old, and as in former years.

5 (HEM) וקרבתי אליכם למשפט והייתי עד ממהר במכשפים ובמנאפים ובנשבעים לשקר ובעשקי שכר שכיר אלמנה ויתום ומטי גר ולא יראוני אמר יהוה צבאות׃
5 (UKJV) "And I will come near to you to judgment; and I will be a swift witness against the sorcerers, and against the adulterers, and against false swearers, and against those that oppress the worker in his wages, the widow, and the fatherless, and that turn aside the stranger from his right, and fear not me, says the LORD of hosts. "

6 (HEM) כי אני יהוה לא שניתי ואתם בני יעקב לא כליתם׃
6 (UKJV) "For I am the LORD, I change not; therefore all of you sons of Jacob are not consumed. "

7 (HEM) למימי אבתיכם סרתם מחקי ולא שמרתם שובו אלי ואשובה אליכם אמר יהוה צבאות ואמרתם במה נשוב׃
7 (UKJV) Even from the days of your fathers all of you are gone away from mine ordinances, and have not kept them. Return unto me, and I will return unto you, says the LORD of hosts. But all of you said, Wherein shall we return?

8 (HEM) היקבע אדם אלהים כי אתם קבעים אתי ואמרתם במה קבענוך המעשר והתרומה׃
8 (UKJV) Will a man rob God? Yet all of you have robbed me. But all of you say, Wherein have we robbed you? In tithes and offerings.

9 (HEM) במארה אתם נארים ואתי אתם קבעים הגוי כלו׃
9 (UKJV) All of you are cursed with a curse: for all of you have robbed me, even this whole nation.

10 (HEM) הביאו את כל המעשר אל בית האוצר ויהי טרף בביתי ובחנוני נא בזאת אמר יהוה צבאות אם לא אפתח לכם את ארבות השמים והריקתי לכם ברכה עד בלי די׃
10 (UKJV) Bring all of you all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be food in mine house, and prove me now herewith, says the LORD of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it.

11 (HEM) וגערתי לכם באכל ולא ישחת לכם את פרי האדמה ולא תשכל לכם הגפן בשדה אמר יהוה צבאות׃
11 (UKJV) "And I will rebuke the devourer for your sakes, and he shall not destroy the fruits of your ground; neither shall your vine cast her fruit before the time in the field, says the LORD of hosts. "

12 (HEM) ואשרו אתכם כל הגוים כי תהיו אתם ארץ חפץ אמר יהוה צבאות׃
12 (UKJV) And all nations shall call you blessed: for all of you shall be a delightsome land, says the LORD of hosts.

13 (HEM) חזקו עלי דבריכם אמר יהוה ואמרתם מה נדברנו עליך׃
13 (UKJV) Your words have been stout against me, says the LORD. Yet all of you say, What have we spoken so much against you?

14 (HEM) אמרתם שוא עבד אלהים ומה בצע כי שמרנו משמרתו וכי הלכנו קדרנית מפני יהוה צבאות׃
14 (UKJV) All of you have said, It is vain to serve God: and what profit is it that we have kept his ordinance, and that we have walked mournfully before the LORD of hosts?

15 (HEM) ועתה אנחנו מאשרים זדים גם נבנו עשי רשעה גם בחנו אלהים וימלטו׃
15 (UKJV) "And now we call the proud happy; yea, they that work wickedness are set up; yea, they that tempt God are even delivered. "

16 (HEM) אז נדברו יראי יהוה איש את רעהו ויקשב יהוה וישמע ויכתב ספר זכרון לפניו ליראי יהוה ולחשבי שמו׃
16 (UKJV) Then they that feared the LORD spoke often one to another: and the LORD hearkened, and heard it, and a book of remembrance was written before him for them that feared the LORD, and that thought upon his name.

17 (HEM) והיו לי אמר יהוה צבאות ליום אשר אני עשה סגלה וחמלתי עליהם כאשר יחמל איש על בנו העבד אתו׃
17 (UKJV) "And they shall be mine, says the LORD of hosts, in that day when I make up my jewels; and I will spare them, as a man spares his own son that serves him. "

18 (HEM) ושבתם וראיתם בין צדיק לרשע בין עבד אלהים לאשר לא עבדו׃
18 (UKJV) Then shall all of you return, and discern between the righteous and the wicked, between him that serves God and him that serves him not.

הנני שלח מלאכי ופנה דרך לפני ופתאם יבוא אל היכלו האדון אשר אתם מבקשים ומלאך הברית אשר אתם חפצים הנה בא אמר יהוה צבאות׃

Mt 11:10 - כי זה הוא אשר כתוב עליו הנני שלח מלאכי לפניך ופנה רדכך לפניך׃

Mk 1:2 - ככתוב בנביאים הנני שלח מלאכי לפניך ופנה דרכך לפניך׃

Lk 1:76 - ואתה הילד נביא עליון תקרא כי לפני יהוה תלך לפנות את דרכיו׃

Lk 7:27 - זה הוא אשר כתוב עליו הנני שלח מלאכי לפניך ופנה דרכך לפניך׃

חזקו עלי דבריכם אמר יהוה ואמרתם מה נדברנו עליך׃

Jób 21:14 - ויאמרו לאל סור ממנו ודעת דרכיך לא חפצנו׃

וקרבתי אליכם למשפט והייתי עד ממהר במכשפים ובמנאפים ובנשבעים לשקר ובעשקי שכר שכיר אלמנה ויתום ומטי גר ולא יראוני אמר יהוה צבאות׃

Ex 20:7 - לא תשא את שם יהוה אלהיך לשוא כי לא ינקה יהוה את אשר ישא את שמו לשוא׃

Ex 22:22 - כל אלמנה ויתום לא תענון׃

Dt 24:17 - לא תטה משפט גר יתום ולא תחבל בגד אלמנה׃

Am 2:7 - השאפים על עפר ארץ בראש דלים ודרך ענוים יטו ואיש ואביו ילכו אל הנערה למען חלל את שם קדשי׃

כי אני יהוה לא שניתי ואתם בני יעקב לא כליתם׃

Ž 33:11 - עצת יהוה לעולם תעמד מחשבות לבו לדר ודר׃

Prís 19:21 - רבות מחשבות בלב איש ועצת יהוה היא תקום׃

Iz 14:26 - זאת העצה היעוצה על כל הארץ וזאת היד הנטויה על כל הגוים׃

Iz 25:9 - ואמר ביום ההוא הנה אלהינו זה קוינו לו ויושיענו זה יהוה קוינו לו נגילה ונשמחה בישועתו׃

Iz 46:10 - מגיד מראשית אחרית ומקדם אשר לא נעשו אמר עצתי תקום וכל חפצי אעשה׃

למימי אבתיכם סרתם מחקי ולא שמרתם שובו אלי ואשובה אליכם אמר יהוה צבאות ואמרתם במה נשוב׃

Za 1:3 - ואמרת אלהם כה אמר יהוה צבאות שובו אלי נאם יהוה צבאות ואשוב אליכם אמר יהוה צבאות׃

Mal 3,1-4 - Na žaloby, že na svete zavládol zločin, prisľubuje Boh Mesiáša, ktorému príde predchodca pripraviť cestu; porov. Iz 40,3; Mt 11,10; Lk 7,27. Mesiáš oslávi svoj chrám (porov. Ag 2,7) a prevedie mravnú očistu. Z akejsi zeliny, zvanej bórit, pripravovali práči lúh; porov. Jer 2,22. O podobnej, ku vytápaniu kovu prirovnanej mravnej očiste porov. Iz 1,25; Jer 6,27; Ez 22,20. Mesiáš sa volá anjelom, poslom zmluvy, lebo uzavrel novozákonnú zmluvu medzi Bohom a novým Božím národom. Dosť jasne sa v tejto stati naznačuje aj božstvo Mesiáša: Boh hovorí, že pošle pred sebou predchodcu, stotožňuje sa teda s Mesiášom, ktorý má prísť do svojho chrámu. Mesiáš predovšetkým ustanoví čistú obetu; o tej pozri 1,11.

Mal 3,6 - Keď sa národ obrátil k Bohu, Boh ho zachránil. Dôkaz toho je, že národ až dosiaľ trvá, napriek jeho hriechom. Ak sa obrátia, aj teraz ich zachráni, lebo on sa nemení, zaobchádza s nimi vždy rovnako podľa zásluh.

Mal 3,8-10 - O desiatkoch pozri Lv 27,30–33; Nm 18, 20–32; Dt 14,22–29. O poplatkoch napr. Nm 15,17–21; Lv 7,14.32. – Požehnaním sa tu rozumie dážď.

Mal 3,11 - Žráčom tu volá prorok kobylky; porov. Joel 1,4.

Mal 3,16 - Pamätná kniha je symbolom Božej vševedúcnosti, porov. Ž 56,9; 139,16. Boh nezabudne na zásluhy pobožných.

Mal 3,19 - Verše 19–24 sú vo Vulg 4,1–6. – Deň, o ktorom sa tu hovorí, je deň súdu.

Mal 3,20 - Teliatko poskakuje veľmi veselo. Týmto ľudovým prirovnaním chce prorok znázorniť radosť spasených.

Mal 3,22-24 - Prorok upozorňuje, že kto chce pri Božom súde obstáť, má zachovávať Boží zákon. Aby súd nezastihol ľudí nepripravených, pošle Boh pred svojím príchodom k súdu proroka Eliáša. O tomto prorokovi vieme, že nezomrel, ale že ho Boh vzal v ohnivom voze do neba (2 Kr 2,11; Sir 48,9; 1 Mach 2,58). – Sú však aj medzi katolíckymi učencami takí, ktorí po príklade sv. Efréma tvrdia, že tu Malachiáš nehovorí o Eliášovi, ale o sv. Jánovi Krstiteľovi, a odvolávajú sa pritom na slová anjela Zachariášovi, otcovi sv. Jána Krstiteľa (Lk 1,17), a na slová Spasiteľa (Mt 11,14). Nie je teda celkom isté, že pred posledným súdom príde znovu na zem Eliáš.
