2 (HEM) אהבתי אתכם אמר יהוה ואמרתם במה אהבתנו הלוא אח עשו ליעקב נאם יהוה ואהב את יעקב׃
2 (KAT) „Miloval som vás, hovorí Pán, vy sa však pýtate: »Čímže si nám preukazoval lásku?« - Či Ezau nebol Jakubovi bratom? - hovorí Pán. Miloval som však Jakuba

3 (CPDV) but held hatred for Esau? And I have set his mountains in solitude, and his inheritance with the serpents of the desert.
3 (HEM) ואת עשו שנאתי ואשים את הריו שממה ואת נחלתו לתנות מדבר׃

4 (HEM) כי תאמר אדום רששנו ונשוב ונבנה חרבות כה אמר יהוה צבאות המה יבנו ואני אהרוס וקראו להם גבול רשעה והעם אשר זעם יהוה עד עולם׃
4 (KAT) Ak povieš, Edom: »Sme spustošení, ale zas postavíme rozvaliny,« toto hovorí Pán zástupov: Oni postavia, ja však zrúcam a budú ich volať »Územie bezbožnosti« a »Ľud, na ktorý sa Pán večne hnevá«.

5 (HEM) ועיניכם תראינה ואתם תאמרו יגדל יהוה מעל לגבול ישראל׃
5 (KAT) Keď to vaše oči uvidia, poviete: »Pán je veľký až za hranice Izraela.«

6 (CPDV) The son honors the father, and the servant his master. If, therefore, I am Father, where is my honor? And if I am Master, where is my fear? says the Lord of hosts to you, O priests, who despise my name. And you have said, “In what way, have we despised your name?”
6 (HEM) בן יכבד אב ועבד אדניו ואם אב אני איה כבודי ואם אדונים אני איה מוראי אמר יהוה צבאות לכם הכהנים בוזי שמי ואמרתם במה בזינו את שמך׃
6 (KAT) Syn si má ctiť otca a sluha svojho pána. Ak som ja otec, kde je úcta ku mne? Ak som Pán, kde je bázeň voči mne? - hovorí Pán zástupov vám, kňazi, ktorí opovrhujete mojím menom. Ale vy sa pýtate: »Akože opovrhujeme tvojím menom?«

7 (CPDV) You offer polluted bread upon my altar, and you say, “In what way, have we polluted you?” In that you say, “The table of the Lord has been despised.”
7 (HEM) מגישים על מזבחי לחם מגאל ואמרתם במה גאלנוך באמרכם שלחן יהוה נבזה הוא׃
7 (KAT) Tak, že prinášate na môj oltár poškvrnený chlieb. A spytujete sa: »Čím sme ťa poškvrnili?« Keď hovoríte: »Pánov stôl možno podceniť.«

8 (CPDV) If you offer the blind for sacrifice, is this not evil? And if you offer the lame and the sick, is this not evil? Offer it to your leader, if he will be pleased with it, or if he will accept your face, says the Lord of hosts.
8 (HEM) וכי תגשון עור לזבח אין רע וכי תגישו פסח וחלה אין רע הקריבהו נא לפחתך הירצך או הישא פניך אמר יהוה צבאות׃
8 (KAT) Keď prinášate slepé na obetu, to nie je zlo? A keď prinášate chromé a choré, to nie je zlo? Nože daruj to svojmu predstavenému, či mu budeš milý, alebo či bude blahosklonný k tebe! - hovorí Pán zástupov.

9 (CPDV) And now, beseech the face of God, so that he may have mercy on you (for by your hand has this been done) if, in any way, he might accept your faces, says the Lord of hosts.
9 (HEM) ועתה חלו נא פני אל ויחננו מידכם היתה זאת הישא מכם פנים אמר יהוה צבאות׃
9 (KAT) Ale teraz udobrite tvár Boha, aby sa nad vami zľutoval. Toto robili vaše ruky! Či bude blahosklonný k vám? - hovorí Pán zástupov.

10 (CPDV) Who is there among you that would close the doors and enflame my altar without pay? I have no favor in you, says the Lord of hosts. And I will not accept a gift from your hand.
10 (HEM) מי גם בכם ויסגר דלתים ולא תאירו מזבחי חנם אין לי חפץ בכם אמר יהוה צבאות ומנחה לא ארצה מידכם׃
10 (KAT) Keby bol niekto z vás, kto by zavrel bránu, aby ste nezapaľovali môj oltár nadarmo! Nemám vo vás zaľúbenie - hovorí Pán zástupov, a neprijmem obetu z vašich rúk.

11 (CPDV) For, from the rising of the sun even to its setting, my name is great among the Gentiles, and in every place, a clean oblation is being sacrificed and offered to my name. For my name is great among the Gentiles, says the Lord of hosts.
11 (HEM) כי ממזרח שמש ועד מבואו גדול שמי בגוים ובכל מקום מקטר מגש לשמי ומנחה טהורה כי גדול שמי בגוים אמר יהוה צבאות׃
11 (KAT) Lebo od východu slnka až po západ je veľké moje meno medzi národmi a na každom mieste budú obetovať, budú prinášať môjmu menu čistú obetu, lebo je veľké moje meno medzi národmi, hovorí Pán zástupov.

12 (CPDV) And you have polluted it, in that you say, “The table of the Lord has been contaminated; and that which is placed upon it is contemptible, compared with the fire that devours it.”
12 (HEM) ואתם מחללים אותו באמרכם שלחן אדני מגאל הוא וניבו נבזה אכלו׃
12 (KAT) Ale vy ho znesväcujete, keď hovoríte: »Pánov stôl môže byť poškvrnený a jeho pokrmom môže byť bezcenný plod.«

13 (CPDV) And you have said, “Behold our labor,” and you have exhaled it away, says the Lord of hosts. And you brought in by plunder the lame, and the sick, and brought it in as a gift. How can I receive this from your hand, says the Lord?
13 (HEM) ואמרתם הנה מתלאה והפחתם אותו אמר יהוה צבאות והבאתם גזול ואת הפסח ואת החולה והבאתם את המנחה הארצה אותה מידכם אמר יהוה׃
13 (KAT) Hovoríte: »To je námaha!« a opovrhujete ňou, hovorí Pán zástupov; a prinášate ulúpené, chromé a choré; prinášate to ako obetu, a to mám prijať z vašich rúk? - hovorí Pán.

14 (CPDV) Cursed is the deceitful, who holds in his flock a male, and, when making a vow, offers in sacrifice that which is feeble to the Lord. For I am a great King, says the Lord of hosts, and my name is dreadful among the Gentiles.
14 (HEM) וארור נוכל ויש בעדרו זכר ונדר וזבח משחת לאדני כי מלך גדול אני אמר יהוה צבאות ושמי נורא בגוים׃
14 (KAT) Zlorečený je podvodník, ktorý má v stáde samčeka; urobí svojmu Pánovi sľub, obetuje však chybné. Veď ja som veľký Kráľ - hovorí Pán zástupov, a moje meno je obávané medzi národmi.
