1 (LS) Il me fit voir Josué, le souverain sacrificateur, debout devant l'ange de l'Eternel, et Satan qui se tenait à sa droite pour l'accuser.
1 (UKJV) And he showed me Joshua the high priest standing before the angel of the LORD, and Satan standing at his right hand to resist him.
2 (LS) L'Eternel dit à Satan: Que l'Eternel te réprime, Satan! que l'Eternel te réprime, lui qui a choisi Jérusalem! N'est-ce pas là un tison arraché du feu?
2 (UKJV) "And the LORD said unto Satan, The LORD rebuke you, O Satan; even the LORD that has chosen Jerusalem rebuke you: is not this a brand plucked out of the fire? "
3 (LS) Or Josué était couvert de vêtements sales, et il se tenait debout devant l'ange.
3 (UKJV) Now Joshua was clothed with filthy garments, and stood before the angel.
4 (LS) L'ange, prenant la parole, dit à ceux qui étaient devant lui: Otez-lui les vêtements sales! Puis il dit à Josué: Vois, je t'enlève ton iniquité, et je te revêts d'habits de fête.
4 (UKJV) And he answered and spoke unto those that stood before him, saying, Take away the filthy garments from him. And unto him he said, Behold, I have caused your iniquity to pass from you, and I will clothe you with change of raiment.
5 (LS) Je dis: Qu'on mette sur sa tête un turban pur! Et ils mirent un turban pur sur sa tête, et ils lui mirent des vêtements. L'ange de l'Eternel était là.
5 (UKJV) And I said, Let them set a fair turban upon his head. So they set a fair turban upon his head, and clothed him with garments. And the angel of the LORD stood by.
6 (LS) L'ange de l'Eternel fit à Josué cette déclaration:
6 (UKJV) And the angel of the LORD protested unto Joshua, saying,
7 (LS) Ainsi parle l'Eternel des armées: Si tu marches dans mes voies et si tu observes mes ordres, tu jugeras ma maison et tu garderas mes parvis, et je te donnerai libre accès parmi ceux qui sont ici.
7 (UKJV) "Thus says the LORD of hosts; If you will walk in my ways, and if you will keep my charge, then you shall also judge my house, and shall also keep my courts, and I will give you places to walk among these that stand by. "
8 (LS) Ecoute donc, Josué, souverain sacrificateur, toi et tes compagnons qui sont assis devant toi! car ce sont des hommes qui serviront de signes. Voici, je ferai venir mon serviteur, le germe.
8 (UKJV) Hear now, O Joshua the high priest, you, and your fellows that sit before you: for they are men wondered at: for, behold, I will bring forth my servant the BRANCH.
9 (LS) Car voici, pour ce qui est de la pierre que j'ai placée devant Josué, il y a sept yeux sur cette seule pierre; voici, je graverai moi-même ce qui doit y être gravé, dit l'Eternel des armées; et j'enlèverai l'iniquité de ce pays, en un jour.
9 (UKJV) "For behold the stone that I have laid before Joshua; upon one stone shall be seven eyes: behold, I will engrave the graving thereof, says the LORD of hosts, and I will remove the iniquity of that land in one day. "
10 (LS) En ce jour-là, dit l'Eternel des armées, vous vous inviterez les uns les autres sous la vigne et sous le figuier.
10 (UKJV) In that day, says the LORD of hosts, shall all of you call every man his neighbour under the vine and under the fig tree.

Ecoute donc, Josué, souverain sacrificateur, toi et tes compagnons qui sont assis devant toi! car ce sont des hommes qui serviront de signes. Voici, je ferai venir mon serviteur, le germe.
Iz 4:2 - En ce temps-là, le germe de l'Eternel Aura de la magnificence et de la gloire, Et le fruit du pays aura de l'éclat et de la beauté Pour les réchappés d'Israël.
Iz 11:1 - Puis un rameau sortira du tronc d'Isaï, Et un rejeton naîtra de ses racines.
Jer 23:5 - Voici, les jours viennent, dit l'Eternel, Où je susciterai à David un germe juste; Il régnera en roi et prospérera, Il pratiquera la justice et l'équité dans le pays.
Jer 33:15 - En ces jours et en ce temps-là, Je ferai éclore à David un germe de justice; Il pratiquera la justice et l'équité dans le pays.
Za 6:12 - Tu lui diras: Ainsi parle l'Eternel des armées: Voici, un homme, dont le nom est germe, germera dans son lieu, et bâtira le temple de l'Eternel.

Júd 1:9 - Or, l'archange Michel, lorsqu'il contestait avec le diable et lui disputait le corps de Moïse, n'osa pas porter contre lui un jugement injurieux, mais il dit: Que le Seigneur te réprime!

L'ange, prenant la parole, dit à ceux qui étaient devant lui: Otez-lui les vêtements sales! Puis il dit à Josué: Vois, je t'enlève ton iniquité, et je te revêts d'habits de fête.
Mi 7:18 - Quel Dieu est semblable à toi, Qui pardonnes l'iniquité, qui oublies les péchés Du reste de ton héritage? Il ne garde pas sa colère à toujours, Car il prend plaisir à la miséricorde.
Zach 3,1-5 - Veľkňaz Jozue zosobňuje celý kňazský stav, ba celý národ, ktorý aj vinou kňazstva upadol do nemilosti a ktorý by diabol, satan, chcel zničiť. Slová: "Nech ťa zavráti Pán" dozaista nehovorí sám Boh, ale v jeho zastúpení anjel. Boh nechce zničiť národ, ktorý sa i tak len Božou milosťou zachránil od zániku, je ako hlaveň, vytrhnutá z ohňa. Omilostením veľkňaza celý národ dostáva milosť, čo sa symbolicky naznačuje odňatím nečistých a oblečením skvostných šiat.
Zach 3,7 - Veľkňazovi sa sľubuje ochrana anjelov. Iní prekladajú koniec verša: "a dám ti prístup medzi týchto, čo tu stoja", a rozumejú to buď tak, že sa veľkňaz po smrti dostane medzi anjelov, alebo tak, že bude ako anjeli, prostredníkom medzi Bohom a ľuďmi; porov. Mal 2,7.
Zach 3,8 - Výhonok je nesporne Mesiáš, ktorý sa aj v dávnejších proroctvách volá Pánovým služobníkom; pozri Iz 42,1; 49,3.5; 50,10; 52,13; 53,11; Ez 34,23 n. - Aj meno Výhonok dávajú Mesiášovi už staršie proroctvá: Iz 4,2; Jer 23,5; 33,15; porov. Zach 6,12; tiež Iz 11,1.10; 53,2.
Zach 3,9 - Výklad tohto verša je veľmi ťažký. Najpravdepodobnejšie zvýrazňuje tento kameň Božie kráľovstvo. Boh dáva toto kráľovstvo spravovať veľkňazovi Jozuemu. No svoj skutočný lesk dosiahne až vtedy, keď príde Mesiáš, až vtedy vyryje Boh doň ozdobu. Oči sú buď Božia prozreteľnosť (porov. 4,10), ktorá zvláštnym spôsobom chráni túto ríšu, alebo sú to anjeli, ktorých úlohou je strážiť ju.
Zach 3,10 - Opisuje sa pokojamilovnosť Božieho kráľovstva, porov. 1 Kr 5,5.
