1 (UKJV) Behold, the day of the LORD comes, and your spoil shall be divided in the midst of you.
1 (ROH) Hľa, prichádza deň Hospodinovi, a rozdelená bude tvoja korisť v tvojom strede.
2 (UKJV) "For I will gather all nations against Jerusalem to battle; and the city shall be taken, and the houses ransacked, and the women ravished; and half of the city shall go forth into captivity, and the residue of the people shall not be cut off from the city. "
2 (ROH) Shromaždím všetky národy proti Jeruzalemu do boja, a mesto bude vzaté, domy budú olúpené, ženy budú sprznené, a polovica mesta vyjde do zajatia, ale ostatok ľudu nebude vyplienený z mesta.
3 (UKJV) Then shall the LORD go forth, and fight against those nations, as when he fought in the day of battle.
3 (ROH) Ale Hospodin vyjde a bude bojovať proti tým národom ako v deň, v ktorý bojuje, v deň bitky.
4 (UKJV) "And his feet shall stand in that day upon the mount of Olives, which is before Jerusalem on the east, and the mount of Olives shall cleave in the midst thereof toward the east and toward the west, and there shall be a very great valley; and half of the mountain shall remove toward the north, and half of it toward the south. "
4 (ROH) A jeho nohy budú stáť toho dňa na Olivovom vrchu, ktorý je naproti Jeruzalemu od východu, a Olivový vrch sa rozdvojí od svojej polovice na východ a na západ v dolinu veľmi velikú. A polovica vrchu uhne na sever a jeho druhá polovica na juh.
5 (UKJV) "And all of you shall flee to the valley of the mountains; for the valley of the mountains shall reach unto Azal: yea, all of you shall flee, like all of you fled from before the earthquake in the days of Uzziah king of Judah: and the LORD my God shall come, and all the saints with you. "
5 (ROH) A budete utekať dolinou mojich vrchov, lebo dolina vrchov bude sahať po Ácel. A budete utekať, ako ste utekali pred zemetrasením za dní Uziáša, judského kráľa. A tak prijde Hospodin, môj Bôh, a všetci svätí s tebou.
6 (UKJV) And it shall come to pass in that day, that the light shall not be clear, nor dark:
6 (ROH) A stane sa toho dňa, že nebude svetla; bude šero a chlad.
7 (UKJV) But it shall be one day which shall be known to the LORD, not day, nor night: but it shall come to pass, that at evening time it shall be light.
7 (ROH) A bude to jeden deň, ktorý je známy Hospodinovi; nebude to deň ani to nebude noc; ale stane sa, že v čas večera bude svetlo.
8 (UKJV) "And it shall be in that day, that living waters shall go out from Jerusalem; half of them toward the former sea, and half of them toward the hinder sea: in summer and in winter shall it be. "
8 (ROH) A stane sa toho dňa, že budú vychádzať živé vody z Jeruzalema; jedna ich polovica pojde do východného mora a ich druhá polovica do západného mora; v lete i v zime tak bude.
9 (UKJV) And the LORD shall be king over all the earth: in that day shall there be one LORD, and his name one.
9 (ROH) A Hospodin bude kráľom nad celou zemou; toho dňa bude Hospodin jeden a jeho meno jedno.
10 (UKJV) All the land shall be turned as a plain from Geba to Rimmon south of Jerusalem: and it shall be lifted up, and inhabited in her place, from Benjamin's gate unto the place of the first gate, unto the corner gate, and from the tower of Hananeel unto the king's winepresses.
10 (ROH) Celá zem sa premení, takže bude jako Araba od Geby po Rimmon, na juh od Jeruzalema, a ten bude vyvýšený a bude stáť na svojom mieste od brány Benjaminovej až po miesto prvej brány, až po bránu Uhlov a od veže Chananeela až po preše kráľove.
11 (UKJV) "And men shall dwell in it, and there shall be no more utter destruction; but Jerusalem shall be safely inhabited. "
11 (ROH) A budú bývať v ňom, a nebude už viacej kliatby, a Jeruzalem bude bývať bezpečne.
12 (UKJV) "And this shall be the plague wherewith the LORD will strike all the people that have fought against Jerusalem; Their flesh shall consume away while they stand upon their feet, and their eyes shall consume away in their holes, and their tongue shall consume away in their mouth. "
12 (ROH) A toto bude rana, ktorou raní Hospodin všetky národy, ktoré budú bojovať proti Jeruzalemu: jeho telo bude hniť, kým bude stáť na svojich nohách, a jeho oči sa rozlejú vo svojich dierach, a jeho jazyk zhnije v ich ústach.
13 (UKJV) "And it shall come to pass in that day, that a great tumult from the LORD shall be among them; and they shall lay hold every one on the hand of his neighbour, and his hand shall rise up against the hand of his neighbour. "
13 (ROH) A stane sa toho dňa, že bude veľký zmätok Hospodinov medzi nimi, a chopia každý ruku svojho druha, a jeho ruka sa pozdvihne proti ruke jeho druha.
14 (UKJV) "And Judah also shall fight at Jerusalem; and the wealth of all the heathen round about shall be gathered together, gold, and silver, and apparel, in great abundance. "
14 (ROH) A bude i Júda bojovať proti Jeruzalemu, a shromaždené bude imanie všetkých národov naokolo, zlato a striebro a rúcha, veľmi mnoho.
15 (UKJV) And so shall be the plague of the horse, of the mule, of the camel, and of the ass, and of all the beasts that shall be in these tents, as this plague.
15 (ROH) A taká bude aj rana koňa, mulice, veľblúda a osla a každého hoväda, ktoré bude v tých táboroch, ako táto rana.
16 (UKJV) And it shall come to pass, that every one that is left of all the nations which came against Jerusalem shall even go up from year to year to worship the King, the LORD of hosts, and to keep the feast of tabernacles.
16 (ROH) A stane sa, že každý, kto pozostane zo všetkých tých národov, ktoré prijdú proti Jeruzalemu, bude prichádzať hore z roka na rok, aby sa klaňal Kráľovi Hospodinovi Zástupov a aby slávil slávnosť stánov.
17 (UKJV) And it shall be, that whoso will not come up of all the families of the earth unto Jerusalem to worship the King, the LORD of hosts, even upon them shall be no rain.
17 (ROH) A stane sa, že kto neprijde z čeľadí zeme hore do Jeruzalema, aby sa klaňal Kráľovi Hospodinovi Zástupov, nebude na nich dažďa.
18 (UKJV) "And if the family of Egypt go not up, and come not, that have no rain; there shall be the plague, wherewith the LORD will strike the heathen that come not up to keep the feast of tabernacles. "
18 (ROH) A keby neišla hore čeľaď Egypta ani neprišla, nebude ani na nich, ale bude na nich rana, ktorou raní Hospodin národy, ktoré neprijdú hore, aby slávily slávnosť stánov.
19 (UKJV) This shall be the punishment of Egypt, and the punishment of all nations that come not up to keep the feast of tabernacles.
19 (ROH) To bude trest za hriech Egypta a trest za hriech všetkých národov, ktoré neprijdú hore, aby slávily slávnosť stánov.
20 (UKJV) "In that day shall there be upon the bells of the horses, HOLINESS UNTO THE LORD; and the pots in the LORD's house shall be like the bowls before the altar. "
20 (ROH) Toho dňa bude na zvoncoch koňa: Sväté Hospodinovi, a hrnce v dome Hospodinovom budú jako čaše pred oltárom.
21 (UKJV) Yea, every pot in Jerusalem and in Judah shall be holiness unto the LORD of hosts: and all they that sacrifice shall come and take of them, and seethe therein: and in that day there shall be no more the Canaanite in the house of the LORD of hosts.
21 (ROH) A každý hrniec v Jeruzaleme a v Judsku bude svätý Hospodinovi Zástupov, a tak budú prichádzať všetci, ktorí obetujú, a budú brať z nich a budú v nich variť a nebude už viacej Kananeja v dome Hospodina Zástupov toho dňa.

Verš 2
"For I will gather all nations against Jerusalem to battle; and the city shall be taken, and the houses ransacked, and the women ravished; and half of the city shall go forth into captivity, and the residue of the people shall not be cut off from the city. "
Iz 13:16 - "Their children also shall be dashed to pieces before their eyes; their houses shall be spoiled, and their wives ravished. "
Verš 3
Then shall the LORD go forth, and fight against those nations, as when he fought in the day of battle.
Iz 42:13 - "The LORD shall go forth as a mighty man, he shall stir up jealousy like a man of war: he shall cry, yea, roar; he shall prevail against his enemies. "
Verš 5
"And all of you shall flee to the valley of the mountains; for the valley of the mountains shall reach unto Azal: yea, all of you shall flee, like all of you fled from before the earthquake in the days of Uzziah king of Judah: and the LORD my God shall come, and all the saints with you. "
Am 1:1 - The words of Amos, who was among the herdmen of Tekoa, which he saw concerning Israel in the days of Uzziah king of Judah, and in the days of Jeroboam the son of Joash king of Israel, two years before the earthquake.

But it shall be one day which shall be known to the LORD, not day, nor night: but it shall come to pass, that at evening time it shall be light.
Zjv 21:25 - And the gates of it shall not be shut at all by day: for there shall be no night there.
Verš 8
"And it shall be in that day, that living waters shall go out from Jerusalem; half of them toward the former sea, and half of them toward the hinder sea: in summer and in winter shall it be. "
Ez 47:1 - "Afterward he brought me again unto the door of the house; and, behold, waters issued out from under the threshold of the house eastward: for the forefront of the house stood toward the east, and the waters came down from under from the right side of the house, at the south side of the altar. "
Joe 3:18 - And it shall come to pass in that day, that the mountains shall drop down new wine, and the hills shall flow with milk, and all the rivers of Judah shall flow with waters, and a fountain shall come forth out of the house of the LORD, and shall water the valley of Shittim.
Zjv 22:1 - And he showed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding out of the throne of God and of the Lamb.
Verš 16
And it shall come to pass, that every one that is left of all the nations which came against Jerusalem shall even go up from year to year to worship the King, the LORD of hosts, and to keep the feast of tabernacles.
Iz 66:23 - And it shall come to pass, that from one new moon to another, and from one sabbath to another, shall all flesh come to worship before me, says the LORD.
Verš 21
Yea, every pot in Jerusalem and in Judah shall be holiness unto the LORD of hosts: and all they that sacrifice shall come and take of them, and seethe therein: and in that day there shall be no more the Canaanite in the house of the LORD of hosts.
Iz 35:8 - "And an highway shall be there, and a way, and it shall be called The way of holiness; the unclean shall not pass over it; but it shall be for those: the travelling men, though fools, shall not go astray therein. "
Joe 3:17 - So shall all of you know that I am the LORD your God dwelling in Zion, my holy mountain: then shall Jerusalem be holy, and there shall no strangers pass through her any more.
Zjv 21:27 - And there shall in no wise enter into it any thing that defiles, neither whatsoever works abomination, or makes a lie: but they which are written in the Lamb's book of life.
Zjv 22:15 - For without are dogs, and sorcerers, and whoremongers, and murderers, and idolaters, and whosoever loves and makes a lie.
Zach 14,1 - O Pánovom dni pozri pozn. k Iz 2,12.
Zach 14,5 - Tento verš je nejasný. Znamená asi toľko, že Boh novoutvoreným údolím umožní obyvateľom Jeruzalema útek. Kde ležalo miesto zvané Asal, nevieme. O tomto zemetrasení porov. Am 1,1. - "Svätí" sú tu anjeli.
Zach 14,6 - Tieto verše sú veľmi nejasné. Možno im azda rozumieť tak, že pre nepriateľov budú zlé časy (tma, zima, ľad), keď Pán príde bojovať za svoj ľud. Ale ani pre Pánov ľud to ešte nebude deň, lebo ešte budú trvať útrapy, no nebude to ani noc, lebo kynie nádej spásy. Až vtedy, keď sa už bude zdať, že prichádza noc záhuby, naraz vznikne svetlo. - V. 6 prekladáme podľa Vulg, lebo v hebr. nedáva zmysel. Ale malou zmenou hebr. textu by tieto dva verše dostali veľmi pekný zmysel: "Až príde Pán, nebude sa striedať deň so studenými nocami". Bude jediný trvalý deň - nie deň a noc - lebo i vo večernom čase bude svetlo.
Zach 14,8 - V Palestíne, kde v lete väčšina potokov vyschne, hojnosť vody znamená požehnanie, porov. 13,1; Ez 47,1 n. Východné more je Mŕtve more, Západné je Stredozemné more.
Zach 14,10 - Okolie Jeruzalema sa zmení na rovinu, z ktorej bude vyčnievať mesto, postavené na vrchu. - O Gabae pozri 2 Kr 23,8. - Remon je azda dnešné Khirbet Umm er-Rammáním, asi 15 km severovýchodne od Bersabe. O Benjamínovej bráne porov. Jer 37,13. - Prvá brána je nám neznáma. - O Rožnej bráne porov. 2 Kr 14,13. - Veža Hananeel bola na severnom múre mesta (Neh 3,1; 12,39). Kráľovské lisy boli asi tam, kde aj Kráľovské záhrady; pozri Jer 39,4. - Celá táto stať opisuje bezpečnosť nového Božieho kráľovstva.
Zach 14,15 - Ako budú hynúť ľudia (verš 12), tak budú hynúť aj zvieratá.
Zach 14,16 - Meno starozákonného sviatku Stánkov len označuje sviatky nového Božieho kráľovstva, ktoré budú svätiť aj obrátení pohania.
Zach 14,17 - V proroctvách o mesiášskych časoch dážď a úrodnosť zvýrazňujú duchovné dary.
Zach 14,20 - Posledné dva verše vyjadrujú myšlienku, že v novom Božom kráľovstve všetko bude zasvätené Pánovi. Obiet bude toľko, že nádoby, ktoré boli v jeruzalemskom chráme, nebudú stačiť pri obetách. Starozákonnými pojmami sa zas označuje novozákonná bohoslužba. - Kanaánčania, pohania (alebo podľa Vulg kupci), nebudú znesväcovať chrám.
