Kniha proroka Aggea

1 (KAR) Dárius király második esztendejének hatodik hónapjában, a hónapnak elsõ napján szóla az Úr Aggeus próféta által Zorobábelnek, a Sealtiél fiának, Júda fejedelmének, és Jósuának, a Jehosadák fiának, a fõpapnak, mondván:
1 (UKJV) In the second year of Darius the king, in the sixth month, in the first day of the month, came the word of the LORD by Haggai the prophet unto Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel, governor of Judah, and to Joshua the son of Josedech, the high priest, saying,

2 (KAR) Így szól a Seregeknek Ura, mondván: Ezt mondja e nép: Nem jött még el az idõ, az Úr háza építésének ideje!
2 (UKJV) Thus speaks the LORD of hosts, saying, This people say, The time is not come, the time that the LORD's house should be built.

3 (KAR) Az Úr pedig így szól Aggeus próféta által, mondván:
3 (UKJV) Then came the word of the LORD by Haggai the prophet, saying,

4 (KAR) Ideje-é néktek, hogy ti mennyezetes házakban lakozzatok, holott ez a ház romban áll?
4 (UKJV) Is it time for you, O all of you, to dwell in your covered over houses, and this house lie waste?

5 (KAR) Most azért ezt mondja a Seregeknek Ura: Gondoljátok meg jól a ti útaitokat!
5 (UKJV) "Now therefore thus says the LORD of hosts; Consider your ways. "

6 (KAR) Sokat vetettetek, de keveset takartok; esztek, de meg nem elégesztek; isztok, de meg nem részegesztek; ruházkodtok, de meg nem melegesztek, a bérlõ is lyukas zacskóra bérel.
6 (UKJV) "All of you have sown much, and bring in little; all of you eat, but all of you have not enough; all of you drink, but all of you are not filled with drink; all of you clothe you, but there is none warm; and he that earns wages earns wages to put it into a bag with holes. "

7 (KAR) Ezt mondja a Seregeknek Ura: Gondoljátok meg jól a ti útaitokat!
7 (UKJV) "Thus says the LORD of hosts; Consider your ways. "

8 (KAR) Menjetek fel a hegyre, és hordjatok fát, és építsétek e házat, hogy gyönyörködjem benne, és dicsõíttessem, azt mondja az Úr.
8 (UKJV) "Go up to the mountain, and bring wood, and build the house; and I will take pleasure in it, and I will be glorified, says the LORD. "

9 (KAR) Sokat vártatok, de ímé kevés lett; haza is hordtátok, de én ráfuvallok arra! Mi okért? azt mondja a Seregeknek Ura. Az én házamért, a mely ím romban áll, ti pedig siettek, kiki a maga házához.
9 (UKJV) "All of you looked for much, and, lo it came to little; and when all of you brought it home, I did blow upon it. Why? says the LORD of hosts. Because of mine house that is waste, and all of you run every man unto his own house. "

10 (KAR) Azért vonták meg tõletek az egek a harmatot, vonta meg a föld az õ termését.
10 (UKJV) Therefore the heaven over you is stayed from dew, and the earth is stayed from her fruit.

11 (KAR) És pusztulást rendeltem a [sík] földre és a hegyekre, a búzára és a borra, az olajra és mindarra, a mit a föld terem; sõt az emberre és a baromra és minden kézimunkára is.
11 (UKJV) And I called for a drought upon the land, and upon the mountains, and upon the corn, and upon the new wine, and upon the oil, and upon that which the ground brings forth, and upon men, and upon cattle, and upon all the labour of the hands.

12 (KAR) És meghallá Zorobábel, a Sealtiél fia, és Jósua, a Jehosadák fia, a fõpap, és a nép minden többi [tag]ja az Úrnak, az õ Istenöknek szavát és Aggeus próféta beszédeit, a miként elküldte õt az Úr, az õ Istenök, és megfélemlék a nép az Úr elõtt.
12 (UKJV) Then Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel, and Joshua the son of Josedech, the high priest, with all the remnant of the people, obeyed the voice of the LORD their God, and the words of Haggai the prophet, as the LORD their God had sent him, and the people did fear before the LORD.

13 (KAR) És szóla Aggeus, az Úr követe, az Úr küldetésében, mondván a népnek: Én veletek vagyok, azt mondja az Úr.
13 (UKJV) Then spoke Haggai the LORD's messenger in the LORD's message unto the people, saying, I am with you, says the LORD.

14 (KAR) És felindítá az Úr Zorobábelnek, a Sealtiél fiának, a Júda fejedelmének lelkét, és Jósuának, a Jehosadák fiának, a fõpapnak lelkét, és a nép minden többi [tag]jának lelkét is, és bemenének és munkálkodának a Seregek Urának, az õ Istenöknek házában.
14 (UKJV) "And the LORD stirred up the spirit of Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel, governor of Judah, and the spirit of Joshua the son of Josedech, the high priest, and the spirit of all the remnant of the people; and they came and did work in the house of the LORD of hosts, their God, "

15 (KAR) A hatodik hónapnak huszonnegyedik napján, Dárius királynak második esztendejében.
15 (UKJV) In the four and twentieth day of the sixth month, in the second year of Darius the king.
