1 (UKJV) In the second year of Darius the king, in the sixth month, in the first day of the month, came the word of the LORD by Haggai the prophet unto Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel, governor of Judah, and to Joshua the son of Josedech, the high priest, saying,
1 (HEM) בשנת שתים לדריוש המלך בחדש הששי ביום אחד לחדש היה דבר יהוה ביד חגי הנביא אל זרבבל בן שאלתיאל פחת יהודה ואל יהושע בן יהוצדק הכהן הגדול לאמר׃
1 (KAT) V druhom roku kráľa Dária, v šiestom mesiaci, v prvý deň mesiaca, prehovoril Pán prostredníctvom proroka Aggea k júdskemu námestníkovi Zorobábelovi, synovi Salatiela, a k veľkňazovi Jozuemu, synovi Josedeka:

2 (UKJV) Thus speaks the LORD of hosts, saying, This people say, The time is not come, the time that the LORD's house should be built.
2 (HEM) כה אמר יהוה צבאות לאמר העם הזה אמרו לא עת בא עת בית יהוה להבנות׃
2 (KAT) „Toto hovorí Pán zástupov: Tento ľud vraví: »Ešte neprišiel čas stavať Pánov dom.«“

3 (UKJV) Then came the word of the LORD by Haggai the prophet, saying,
3 (HEM) ויהי דבר יהוה ביד חגי הנביא לאמר׃
3 (KAT) Pán však prehovoril prostredníctvom proroka Aggea takto:

4 (UKJV) Is it time for you, O all of you, to dwell in your covered over houses, and this house lie waste?
4 (HEM) העת לכם אתם לשבת בבתיכם ספונים והבית הזה חרב׃
4 (KAT) „Pre vás je už čas bývať vo vykladaných domoch, kým tento dom je pustý?

5 (UKJV) "Now therefore thus says the LORD of hosts; Consider your ways. "
5 (HEM) ועתה כה אמר יהוה צבאות שימו לבבכם על דרכיכם׃
5 (KAT) Nuž, teraz toto hovorí Pán zástupov: Všimnite si, ako sa vám vodí!

6 (UKJV) "All of you have sown much, and bring in little; all of you eat, but all of you have not enough; all of you drink, but all of you are not filled with drink; all of you clothe you, but there is none warm; and he that earns wages earns wages to put it into a bag with holes. "
6 (HEM) זרעתם הרבה והבא מעט אכול ואין לשבעה שתו ואין לשכרה לבוש ואין לחם לו והמשתכר משתכר אל צרור נקוב׃
6 (KAT) Siali ste veľa, málo ste zvážali; keď ste jedli, nenasýtili ste sa; keď ste pili, nenapojili ste sa; obliekaním ste sa nezohriali a kto robil za mzdu, dával mzdu do deravého vrecka.“

7 (UKJV) "Thus says the LORD of hosts; Consider your ways. "
7 (HEM) כה אמר יהוה צבאות שימו לבבכם על דרכיכם׃
7 (KAT) Toto hovorí Pán zástupov: „Všimnite si, ako sa vám vodí!

8 (UKJV) "Go up to the mountain, and bring wood, and build the house; and I will take pleasure in it, and I will be glorified, says the LORD. "
8 (HEM) עלו ההר והבאתם עץ ובנו הבית וארצה בו ואכבד אמר יהוה׃
8 (KAT) Choďte do hory, dovezte drevo a stavajte dom! Budem v ňom mať záľubu a oslávim sa, hovorí Pán.

9 (UKJV) "All of you looked for much, and, lo it came to little; and when all of you brought it home, I did blow upon it. Why? says the LORD of hosts. Because of mine house that is waste, and all of you run every man unto his own house. "
9 (HEM) פנה אל הרבה והנה למעט והבאתם הבית ונפחתי בו יען מה נאם יהוה צבאות יען ביתי אשר הוא חרב ואתם רצים איש לביתו׃
9 (KAT) Hľadel si za množstvom, a bolo z toho málo; doviezli ste to domov, a odfúkol som to. Prečo? - hovorí Pán zástupov. Pre môj dom, ktorý je pustý, kým každý z vás beží do svojho domu.

10 (UKJV) Therefore the heaven over you is stayed from dew, and the earth is stayed from her fruit.
10 (HEM) על כן עליכם כלאו שמים מטל והארץ כלאה יבולה׃
10 (KAT) Preto sa nad vami zavrelo nebo, že niet rosy a zem nevydala svoju úrodu.

11 (UKJV) And I called for a drought upon the land, and upon the mountains, and upon the corn, and upon the new wine, and upon the oil, and upon that which the ground brings forth, and upon men, and upon cattle, and upon all the labour of the hands.
11 (HEM) ואקרא חרב על הארץ ועל ההרים ועל הדגן ועל התירוש ועל היצהר ועל אשר תוציא האדמה ועל האדם ועל הבהמה ועל כל יגיע כפים׃
11 (KAT) Privolal som suchotu na zem, na vrchy, na obilie, na mušt, na olej a na všetko, čo zem vydáva; na ľudí, na zvieratá a na všetku prácu rúk.“

12 (UKJV) Then Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel, and Joshua the son of Josedech, the high priest, with all the remnant of the people, obeyed the voice of the LORD their God, and the words of Haggai the prophet, as the LORD their God had sent him, and the people did fear before the LORD.
12 (HEM) וישמע זרבבל בן שלתיאל ויהושע בן יהוצדק הכהן הגדול וכל שארית העם בקול יהוה אלהיהם ועל דברי חגי הנביא כאשר שלחו יהוה אלהיהם וייראו העם מפני יהוה׃
12 (KAT) Salatielov syn Zorobábel a veľkňaz, Josedekov syn Jozue, a celý zvyšok ľudu poslúchol hlas Pána, svojho Boha, a slová proroka Aggea, lebo ho poslal Pán, ich Boh. A ľud sa bál Pána.

13 (UKJV) Then spoke Haggai the LORD's messenger in the LORD's message unto the people, saying, I am with you, says the LORD.
13 (HEM) ויאמר חגי מלאך יהוה במלאכות יהוה לעם לאמר אני אתכם נאם יהוה׃
13 (KAT) Aggeus, Pánov posol, povedal ľudu podľa Pánovho posolstva: „Ja som s vami, hovorí Pán.“

14 (UKJV) "And the LORD stirred up the spirit of Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel, governor of Judah, and the spirit of Joshua the son of Josedech, the high priest, and the spirit of all the remnant of the people; and they came and did work in the house of the LORD of hosts, their God, "
14 (HEM) ויער יהוה את רוח זרבבל בן שלתיאל פחת יהודה ואת רוח יהושע בן יהוצדק הכהן הגדול ואת רוח כל שארית העם ויבאו ויעשו מלאכה בבית יהוה צבאות אלהיהם׃
14 (KAT) I povzbudil Pán ducha júdskeho námestníka, Salatielovho syna Zorobábela, i ducha veľkňaza, Josedekovho syna Jozueho, ako aj ducha celého zvyšku ľudu a dali sa do roboty na dome Pána zástupov, svojho Boha;

15 (UKJV) In the four and twentieth day of the sixth month, in the second year of Darius the king.
15 (HEM) ביום עשרים וארבעה לחדש בששי בשנת שתים לדריוש המלך׃
15 (KAT) dvadsiateho štvrtého dňa šiesteho mesiaca v druhom roku kráľa Dária.
