Kniha proroka Aggea

1 (CPDV) In the second year of king Darius, in the sixth month, on the first day of the month, the word of the Lord came, by the hand of Haggai the prophet, to Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel, governor of Judah, and to Jesus the son of Jehozadak, the high priest, saying:
1 (ROH) Druhého roku kráľa Dária, šiesteho mesiaca, prvého dňa toho mesiaca, stalo sa slovo Hospodinovo skrze proroka Haggea na Zorobábela, syna Šealtielovho, judského vojvodu, a na Jozuu, syna Jehocadákovho, najväčšieho kňaza, povediac:

2 (CPDV) Thus says the Lord of hosts, saying: This people claims that the time has not yet arrived for building the house of the Lord.
2 (ROH) Takto hovorí Hospodin Zástupov: Tento ľud hovorí: Nie je toto čas prijsť, čas, aby sa staväl dom Hospodinov.

3 (CPDV) But the word of the Lord came by the hand of Haggai the prophet, saying:
3 (ROH) A stalo sa slovo Hospodinovo skrze proroka Haggea povediac:

4 (CPDV) Is it time for you to dwell in paneled houses, while this house is deserted?
4 (ROH) Či je čas pre vás, aby ste vy bývali vo svojich vykladaných domoch, kým je tento dom pustý?

5 (CPDV) And now, thus says the Lord of hosts: Set your hearts upon your ways.
5 (ROH) Preto teraz takto hovorí Hospodin Zástupov: Priložte svoje srdce ku svojim cestám!

6 (CPDV) You sowed much and have brought in little. You consumed and have not been satisfied. You drank and have not been inebriated. You covered yourselves and have not been warmed. And whoever gathered wages, has put them in a bag with holes.
6 (ROH) Sejete mnoho, ale snášate málo; jete, ale nemáte toľko, aby ste sa nasýtili; pijete víno, ale nemáte toľko, aby ste sa napili; obliekate sa, ale človek nemá toľko, aby sa zohrial, a ten, kto odkladá mzdu, odkladá do deravého vreca.

7 (CPDV) Thus says the Lord of hosts: Set your hearts upon your ways.
7 (ROH) Takto hovorí Hospodin Zástupov: Priložte svoje srdce ku svojim cestám!

8 (CPDV) Ascend to the mountain, bring wood and build the house, and it shall be acceptable to me, and I shall be glorified, says the Lord.
8 (ROH) Iďte hore na vrch, dopravte dreva, staväjte dom, a budem mať v ňom záľubu, a budem oslávený, hovorí Hospodin.

9 (CPDV) You have looked for more, and behold, it became less, and you brought it home, and I blew it away. What is the cause of this, says the Lord of hosts? It is because my house is desolate, yet you have hurried, each one to his own house.
9 (ROH) Hľadíte po mnohu, a hľa, je málo, a keď to vnesiete do domu, ja to rozfúknem. Prečo? hovorí Hospodin Zástupov. Pre svoj dom, že je pustý, a vy každý bežíte do svojho domu.

10 (CPDV) Because of this, the heavens over you have been prohibited from giving dew, and the earth has been prohibited from giving her sprouts.
10 (ROH) Preto sa pre vás zavrely nebesia, takže nedávajú rosy, a zem sa zavrela so svojou úrodou.

11 (CPDV) And I called a drought over the land, and over the mountains, and over the wheat, and over the wine, and over the oil, and whatever the soil would bring forth, and over men, and over beasts of burden, and over all the labor of hands.
11 (ROH) A zavolal som sucho na zem i na vrchy, na zbožie, na vínnu šťavu, na olej i na to, čo vydáva zem, na človeka i na hovädo i na všetku prácu rúk.

12 (CPDV) And Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel, and Jesus the son of Jehozadak, the high priest, and all the remnant of the people heeded the voice of the Lord their God, and the words of Haggai the prophet, just as the Lord their God sent him to them. And the people were fearful before the face of the Lord.
12 (ROH) A poslúchol Zorobábel, syn Šealtielov, i Jozua, syn Jehocadákov, najväčší kňaz, i všetok ostatok ľudu na hlas Hospodina, svojho Boha, i na slová proroka Haggea, tak ako ho poslal Hospodin, ich Bôh, a ľud sa bál tvári Hospodinovej.

13 (CPDV) And Haggai, a messenger of the Lord among messengers of the Lord, spoke to the people, saying: the Lord says, “I am with you.”
13 (ROH) Vtedy povedal Haggeus, posol Hospodinov, v posolstve Hospodinovom ľudu a riekol: Ja som s vami, hovorí Hospodin.

14 (CPDV) And the Lord stirred the spirit of Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel, governor of Judah, and the spirit of Jesus the son of Jehozadak, the high priest, and the spirit of the remainder of all the people. And they entered and performed work in the house of the Lord of hosts their God,
14 (ROH) A Hospodin zobudil ducha Zorobábela, syna Šealtielovho, vojvodu Júdovho, i ducha Jozuu, syna Jehocadákovho, najväčšieho kňaza, i ducha všetkého ostatku ľudu, a tak prišli a konali dielo na dome Hospodina Zástupov, svojho Boha,

15 (ROH) dvadsiateho a štvrtého dňa, šiesteho mesiaca, druhého roku kráľa Dária.
