1 (WLC) דְּבַר־יְהוָ֣ה ׀ אֲשֶׁ֣ר הָיָ֗ה אֶל־צְפַנְיָה֙ בֶּן־כּוּשִׁ֣י בֶן־גְּדַלְיָ֔ה בֶּן־אֲמַרְיָ֖ה בֶּן־חִזְקִיָּ֑ה בִּימֵ֛י יֹאשִׁיָּ֥הוּ בֶן־אָמֹ֖ון מֶ֥לֶךְ יְהוּדָֽה׃
1 (KAT) Slovo, ktoré Pán prehovoril k Sofoniášovi, synovi Chusiho, syna Godoliáša, syna Amariáša, syna Ezechiáša, v dňoch júdskeho kráľa, Amonovho syna Joziáša.
1 (UKJV) The word of the LORD which came unto Zephaniah the son of Cushi, the son of Gedaliah, the son of Amariah, the son of Hizkiah, in the days of Josiah the son of Amon, king of Judah.

2 (WLC) אָסֹ֨ף אָסֵ֜ף כֹּ֗ל מֵעַ֛ל פְּנֵ֥י הָאֲדָמָ֖ה נְאֻם־יְהוָֽה׃
2 (KAT) „Dočista zmetiem všetko z povrchu zeme, hovorí Pán.
2 (UKJV) I will utterly consume all things from off the land, says the LORD.

3 (WLC) אָסֵ֨ף אָדָ֜ם וּבְהֵמָ֗ה אָסֵ֤ף עֹוף־הַשָּׁמַ֙יִם֙ וּדְגֵ֣י הַיָּ֔ם וְהַמַּכְשֵׁלֹ֖ות אֶת־הָרְשָׁעִ֑ים וְהִכְרַתִּ֣י אֶת־הָאָדָ֗ם מֵעַ֛ל פְּנֵ֥י הָאֲדָמָ֖ה נְאֻם־יְהוָֽה׃
3 (KAT) Zmetiem ľudí i zvieratá, zmetiem vtáky neba a ryby mora. Skaza zločincom! - a vykántrim ľudí z povrchu zeme, hovorí Pán.
3 (UKJV) "I will consume man and beast; I will consume the fowls of the heaven, and the fishes of the sea, and the stumbling blocks with the wicked: and I will cut off man from off the land, says the LORD. "

4 (WLC) וְנָטִ֤יתִי יָדִי֙ עַל־יְהוּדָ֔ה וְעַ֖ל כָּל־יֹושְׁבֵ֣י יְרוּשָׁלִָ֑ם וְהִכְרַתִּ֞י מִן־הַמָּקֹ֤ום הַזֶּה֙ אֶת־שְׁאָ֣ר הַבַּ֔עַל אֶת־שֵׁ֥ם הַכְּמָרִ֖ים עִם־הַכֹּהֲנִֽים׃
4 (KAT) Vystriem ruku proti Júdovi a proti obyvateľom Jeruzalema a vyhubím z tohto miesta zvyšky bálov i mená žrecov a kňazov;
4 (UKJV) "I will also stretch out mine hand upon Judah, and upon all the inhabitants of Jerusalem; and I will cut off the remnant of Baal from this place, and the name of the Chemarims with the priests; "

5 (WLC) וְאֶת־הַמִּשְׁתַּחֲוִ֥ים עַל־הַגַּגֹּ֖ות לִצְבָ֣א הַשָּׁמָ֑יִם וְאֶת־הַמִּֽשְׁתַּחֲוִים֙ הַנִּשְׁבָּעִ֣ים לַֽיהוָ֔ה וְהַנִּשְׁבָּעִ֖ים בְּמַלְכָּֽם׃
5 (KAT) i tých, čo sa na strechách klaňajú nebeskému vojsku; i tých, čo sa klaňajú a prisahajú na Pána, ale prisahajú aj na Melkoma;
5 (UKJV) "And them that worship the host of heaven upon the housetops; and them that worship and that swear by the LORD, and that swear by Malcham; "

6 (WLC) וְאֶת־הַנְּסֹוגִ֖ים מֵאַחֲרֵ֣י יְהוָ֑ה וַאֲשֶׁ֛ר לֹֽא־בִקְשׁ֥וּ אֶת־יְהוָ֖ה וְלֹ֥א דְרָשֻֽׁהוּ׃
6 (KAT) i tých, čo sa vzdialili od Pána, nehľadajú Pána a nejdú za ním.“
6 (UKJV) "And them that are turned back from the LORD; and those that have not sought the LORD, nor enquired for him. "

7 (WLC) הַ֕ס מִפְּנֵ֖י אֲדֹנָ֣י יְהוִ֑ה כִּ֤י קָרֹוב֙ יֹ֣ום יְהוָ֔ה כִּֽי־הֵכִ֧ין יְהוָ֛ה זֶ֖בַח הִקְדִּ֥ישׁ קְרֻאָֽיו׃
7 (KAT) Ticho pred tvárou Pána, Jahveho! Veď blízko je Pánov deň; áno, Pán usporiadal obetu, zasvätil svojich povolaných.
7 (UKJV) Hold your peace at the presence of the Lord GOD: for the day of the LORD is at hand: for the LORD has prepared a sacrifice, he has bid his guest.

8 (WLC) וְהָיָ֗ה בְּיֹום֙ זֶ֣בַח יְהוָ֔ה וּפָקַדְתִּ֥י עַל־הַשָּׂרִ֖ים וְעַל־בְּנֵ֣י הַמֶּ֑לֶךְ וְעַ֥ל כָּל־הַלֹּבְשִׁ֖ים מַלְבּ֥וּשׁ נָכְרִֽי׃
8 (KAT) „V deň Pánovej obety navštívim kniežatá a kráľovičov i všetkých, čo sa obliekajú do rúch cudzincov.
8 (UKJV) And it shall come to pass in the day of the LORD's sacrifice, that I will punish the princes, and the king's children, and all such as are clothed with strange apparel.

9 (WLC) וּפָקַדְתִּ֗י עַ֧ל כָּל־הַדֹּולֵ֛ג עַל־הַמִּפְתָּ֖ן בַּיֹּ֣ום הַה֑וּא הַֽמְמַלְאִ֛ים בֵּ֥ית אֲדֹנֵיהֶ֖ם חָמָ֥ס וּמִרְמָֽה׃ ס
9 (KAT) A navštívim tých, čo preskakujú v ten deň cez prah, čo naplňujú dom svojho Pána klamstvom a lsťou.
9 (UKJV) In the same day also will I punish all those that leap on the threshold, which fill their masters' houses with violence and deceit.

10 (WLC) וְהָיָה֩ בַיֹּ֨ום הַה֜וּא נְאֻם־יְהוָ֗ה קֹ֤ול צְעָקָה֙ מִשַּׁ֣עַר הַדָּגִ֔ים וִֽילָלָ֖ה מִן־הַמִּשְׁנֶ֑ה וְשֶׁ֥בֶר גָּדֹ֖ול מֵהַגְּבָעֹֽות׃
10 (KAT) V ten deň, hovorí Pán, bude hlasný krik od Rybnej brány, jajkanie od druhej a veľká záhuba od kopcov.
10 (UKJV) And it shall come to pass in that day, says the LORD, that there shall be the noise of a cry from the fish gate, and an howling from the second, and a great crashing from the hills.

11 (WLC) הֵילִ֖ילוּ יֹשְׁבֵ֣י הַמַּכְתֵּ֑שׁ כִּ֤י נִדְמָה֙ כָּל־עַ֣ם כְּנַ֔עַן נִכְרְת֖וּ כָּל־נְטִ֥ילֵי כָֽסֶף׃
11 (KAT) Jajkajte, obyvatelia Možiara, veď zahynie celý kanaánsky ľud, vyničia všetkých, čo vážia striebro.
11 (UKJV) "Wail, all of you inhabitants of Maktesh, for all the merchant people are cut down; all they that bear silver are cut off. "

12 (WLC) וְהָיָה֙ בָּעֵ֣ת הַהִ֔יא אֲחַפֵּ֥שׂ אֶת־יְרוּשָׁלִַ֖ם בַּנֵּרֹ֑ות וּפָקַדְתִּ֣י עַל־הָאֲנָשִׁ֗ים הַקֹּֽפְאִים֙ עַל־שִׁמְרֵיהֶ֔ם הָאֹֽמְרִים֙ בִּלְבָבָ֔ם לֹֽא־יֵיטִ֥יב יְהוָ֖ה וְלֹ֥א יָרֵֽעַ׃
12 (KAT) V ten deň prekutám Jeruzalem lampami a navštívim chlapov, ktorí tučnejú na svojich kvasniciach a hovoria si: »Pán neurobí ani dobré, ani zlé.«
12 (UKJV) And it shall come to pass at that time, that I will search Jerusalem with candles, and punish the men that are settled on their sediments of wine: that say in their heart, The LORD will not do good, neither will he do evil.

13 (WLC) וְהָיָ֤ה חֵילָם֙ לִמְשִׁסָּ֔ה וּבָתֵּיהֶ֖ם לִשְׁמָמָ֑ה וּבָנ֤וּ בָתִּים֙ וְלֹ֣א יֵשֵׁ֔בוּ וְנָטְע֣וּ כְרָמִ֔ים וְלֹ֥א יִשְׁתּ֖וּ אֶת־יֵינָֽם׃
13 (KAT) Ich bohatstvo prepadne lúpeži a ich domy spustnutiu; budú stavať domy, no bývať (v nich) nebudú, budú vysadzovať vinohrady, ale víno z nich piť nebudú.“
13 (UKJV) "Therefore their goods shall become a booty, and their houses a desolation: they shall also build houses, but not inhabit them; and they shall plant vineyards, but not drink the wine thereof. "

14 (WLC) קָרֹ֤וב יֹום־יְהוָה֙ הַגָּדֹ֔ול קָרֹ֖וב וּמַהֵ֣ר מְאֹ֑ד קֹ֚ול יֹ֣ום יְהוָ֔ה מַ֥ר צֹרֵ֖חַ שָׁ֥ם גִּבֹּֽור׃
14 (KAT) Blízko je Pánov deň, blízko a je veľmi rýchly. Čuj, Pánov deň, trpko tam kričí silák.
14 (UKJV) The great day of the LORD is near, it is near, and hastes greatly, even the voice of the day of the LORD: the mighty man shall cry there bitterly.

15 (WLC) יֹ֥ום עֶבְרָ֖ה הַיֹּ֣ום הַה֑וּא יֹ֧ום צָרָ֣ה וּמְצוּקָ֗ה יֹ֤ום שֹׁאָה֙ וּמְשֹׁואָ֔ה יֹ֥ום חֹ֙שֶׁךְ֙ וַאֲפֵלָ֔ה יֹ֥ום עָנָ֖ן וַעֲרָפֶֽל׃
15 (KAT) Ten deň je deň hnevu, deň úzkosti a zvierania, deň víchra a víchrice, deň tmy a temnoty, deň oblakov a mrákavy.
15 (UKJV) That day is a day of wrath, a day of trouble and distress, a day of devastation and desolation, a day of darkness and gloominess, a day of clouds and thick darkness,

16 (WLC) יֹ֥ום שֹׁופָ֖ר וּתְרוּעָ֑ה עַ֚ל הֶעָרִ֣ים הַבְּצֻרֹ֔ות וְעַ֖ל הַפִּנֹּ֥ות הַגְּבֹהֹֽות׃
16 (KAT) Deň pozauny a lomozu proti opevneným mestám a proti vysokým baštám.
16 (UKJV) A day of the trumpet and alarm against the fenced cities, and against the high towers.

17 (WLC) וַהֲצֵרֹ֣תִי לָאָדָ֗ם וְהָֽלְכוּ֙ כַּֽעִוְרִ֔ים כִּ֥י לַֽיהוָ֖ה חָטָ֑אוּ וְשֻׁפַּ֤ךְ דָּמָם֙ כֶּֽעָפָ֔ר וּלְחֻמָ֖ם כַּגְּלָלִֽים׃
17 (KAT) Do úzkosti vženiem ľudí, že budú chodiť ako slepí, lebo zhrešili proti Pánovi; ich krv sa bude vylievať ako prach a ich telá ako hnoj.
17 (UKJV) And I will bring distress upon men, that they shall walk like blind men, because they have sinned against the LORD: and their blood shall be poured out as dust, and their flesh as the dung.

18 (WLC) גַּם־כַּסְפָּ֨ם גַּם־זְהָבָ֜ם לֹֽא־יוּכַ֣ל לְהַצִּילָ֗ם בְּיֹום֙ עֶבְרַ֣ת יְהוָ֔ה וּבְאֵשׁ֙ קִנְאָתֹ֔ו תֵּאָכֵ֖ל כָּל־הָאָ֑רֶץ כִּֽי־כָלָ֤ה אַךְ־נִבְהָלָה֙ יַֽעֲשֶׂ֔ה אֵ֥ת כָּל־יֹשְׁבֵ֖י הָאָֽרֶץ׃ ס
18 (KAT) Ani ich striebro, ani ich zlato ich nevládze zachrániť v deň Pánovho hnevu. Oheň jeho žiarlivosti pohltí celú zem, lebo skoncuje, a to hrozne, so všetkými obyvateľmi zeme.
18 (UKJV) "Neither their silver nor their gold shall be able to deliver them in the day of the LORD's wrath; but the whole land shall be devoured by the fire of his jealousy: for he shall make even a speedy purging of all them that dwell in the land. "
