1 (HEM) הוי עיר דמים כלה כחש פרק מלאה לא ימיש טרף׃
1 (VUL) Vae, civitas sanguinum, universa mendacii praeda plena! Non recedet a te rapina.
1 (KAT) Beda krvavému mestu! Je samé klamstvo, je plné násilia, neprestáva plieniť.

2 (HEM) קול שוט וקול רעש אופן וסוס דהר ומרכבה מרקדה׃
2 (VUL) Vox flagellorum et vox strepitus rotarum, equi frementes et quadrigae ferventes, equites irruentes
2 (KAT) Pleskot biča, hlučný rachot kolies, kone cválajú, vozy sa rútia,
2 (UKJV) The noise of a whip, and the noise of the rattling of the wheels, and of the prancing horses, and of the jumping chariots.

3 (HEM) פרש מעלה ולהב חרב וברק חנית ורב חלל וכבד פגר ואין קצה לגויה יכשלו בגויתם׃
3 (VUL) et gladii micantes et hastae fulgurantes et multitudo interfectorum et acervi mortuorum; nec est finis cadaverum, et corruunt super corpora.

7 (UKJV) And it shall come to pass, that all they that look upon you shall flee from you, and say, Nineveh is laid waste: who will lament for her? whence shall I seek comforters for you?

8 (HEM) התיטבי מנא אמון הישבה ביארים מים סביב לה אשר חיל ים מים חומתה׃
8 (VUL) Numquid melior es quam Noamon, quae habitabat in fluminibus? Aquae in circuitu eius: cuius vallum mare, aquae muri eius.

12 (HEM) כל מבצריך תאנים עם בכורים אם ינועו ונפלו על פי אוכל׃
12 (VUL) Omnes munitiones tuae sicut ficus cum ficis praecocibus: si concussae fuerint, cadent in os comedentis.

13 (VUL) Ecce populus tuus, mulieres in medio tui; inimicis tuis late patebunt portae terrae tuae; devorabit ignis vectes tuos.

13 (UKJV) Behold, your people in the midst of you are women: the gates of your land shall be set wide open unto your enemies: the fire shall devour your bars.

14 (HEM) מי מצור שאבי לך חזקי מבצריך באי בטיט ורמסי בחמר החזיקי מלבן׃
14 (VUL) Aquam propter obsidionem hauri tibi, firma munitiones tuas; intra in lutum et calca argillam, tene typum laterum.
14 (KAT) Načieraj si vodu pre obliehanie, opevni svoje hradby, vstúp do blata, šliap hlinu, vezmi formu na tehly.
14 (UKJV) Draw you waters for the siege, fortify your strong holds: go into clay, and tread the mortar, make strong the brick-kiln.

15 (HEM) שם תאכלך אש תכריתך חרב תאכלך כילק התכבד כילק התכבדי כארבה׃
15 (VUL) Ibi comedet te ignis, peribis gladio, devorabit te ut bruchus. Augere ut bruchus, multiplicare ut locusta.

19 (HEM) אין כהה לשברך נחלה מכתך כל שמעי שמעך תקעו כף עליך כי על מי לא עברה רעתך תמיד׃
19 (VUL) Non est remedium fracturae tuae, insanabilis est plaga tua; omnes, qui audierint auditionem tuam, plaudent manibus super te, quia super quem non transiit malitia tua semper? ”.
