Kniha proroka Jonáša

1 (HEM) וירע אל יונה רעה גדולה ויחר לו׃
1 (VUL) Et afflictus est Ionas afflictione magna et iratus est;
1 (KAT) Jonášovi sa to veľmi nepáčilo a nahneval sa.
1 (UKJV) But it displeased Jonah exceedingly, and he was very angry.

2 (HEM) ויתפלל אל יהוה ויאמר אנה יהוה הלוא זה דברי עד היותי על אדמתי על כן קדמתי לברח תרשישה כי ידעתי כי אתה אל חנון ורחום ארך אפים ורב חסד ונחם על הרעה׃
2 (VUL) et oravit ad Dominum et dixit: “ Obsecro, Domine, numquid non hoc est verbum meum, cum adhuc essem in terra mea? Propter hoc praeoccupavi ut fugerem in Tharsis. Sciebam enim quia tu Deus clemens et misericors es, longanimis et multae miserationis et ignoscens super malitia.
2 (KAT) I modlil sa k Pánovi: „Ach, Pane, či som to nepovedal, kým som bol vo svojej krajine? Preto som chcel najprv utiecť do Taršišu, veď som vedel, že si láskavý a milosrdný Boh, trpezlivý a veľký v zľutovaní a zmilúvaš sa nad nešťastím.
2 (UKJV) And he prayed unto the LORD, and said, I pray you, O LORD, was not this my saying, when I was yet in my country? Therefore I fled before unto Tarshish: for I knew that you are a gracious God, and merciful, slow to anger, and of great kindness, and repent you of the evil.

3 (HEM) ועתה יהוה קח נא את נפשי ממני כי טוב מותי מחיי׃
3 (VUL) Et nunc, Domine, tolle, quaeso, animam meam a me, quia melior est mihi mors quam vita”.
3 (KAT) Teraz však, Pane, odním odo mňa moju dušu, lebo mi je lepšie zomrieť, než žiť.“
3 (UKJV) "Therefore now, O LORD, take, I plead to you, my life from me; for it is better for me to die than to live. "

4 (HEM) ויאמר יהוה ההיטב חרה לך׃
4 (VUL) Et dixit Dominus: “ Putasne bene irasceris tu? ”.
4 (KAT) Pán povedal: „Azda sa právom hneváš?“
4 (UKJV) Then said the LORD, Do you well to be angry?

5 (HEM) ויצא יונה מן העיר וישב מקדם לעיר ויעש לו שם סכה וישב תחתיה בצל עד אשר יראה מה יהיה בעיר׃
5 (VUL) Et egressus est Ionas de civitate et sedit contra orientem civitatis et fecit sibimet umbraculum ibi et sedebat subter illud in umbra, donec videret quid accideret in civitate.
5 (KAT) Nato vyšiel Jonáš z mesta a býval východne od mesta; urobil si tam striešku a sedel pod ňou v tôni, chcel vidieť, čo sa stane v meste.
5 (UKJV) So Jonah went out of the city, and sat on the east side of the city, and there made him a booth, and sat under it in the shadow, till he might see what would become of the city.

6 (HEM) וימן יהוה אלהים קיקיון ויעל מעל ליונה להיות צל על ראשו להציל לו מרעתו וישמח יונה על הקיקיון שמחה גדולה׃
6 (VUL) Et praeparavit Dominus Deus hederam, et ascendit super Ionam, ut esset umbra super caput eius et protegeret eum ab afflictione sua. Et laetatus est Ionas super hedera laetitia magna.
6 (KAT) Vtedy Pán, Boh, rozkázal ricínovému kru, ktorý vyrástol nad Jonášom a robil mu nad hlavou tieň, aby ho oslobodil od nepríjemnosti. Jonáš sa ricínovému kru veľmi zaradoval.
6 (UKJV) And the LORD God prepared a gourd, and made it to come up over Jonah, that it might be a shadow over his head, to deliver him from his grief. So Jonah was exceeding glad of the gourd.

7 (HEM) וימן האלהים תולעת בעלות השחר למחרת ותך את הקיקיון וייבש׃
7 (VUL) Et paravit Deus vermem, cum surgeret aurora in crastinum, et percussit hederam, quae exaruit.
7 (KAT) Keď na druhý deň vychádzala ranná zora, rozkázal Boh červíku a on zranil ricínus, takže vyschol.
7 (UKJV) But God prepared a worm when the morning rose the next day, and it stroke the gourd that it withered.

8 (HEM) ויהי כזרח השמש וימן אלהים רוח קדים חרישית ותך השמש על ראש יונה ויתעלף וישאל את נפשו למות ויאמר טוב מותי מחיי׃
8 (VUL) Et, cum ortus fuisset sol, praecepit Deus vento orientali calido; et percussit sol super caput Ionae, et elanguit; et petivit animae suae, ut moreretur, et dixit: “ Melius est mihi mori quam vivere ”
8 (KAT) A keď vyšlo slnko, rozkázal Boh horúcemu východnému vetru a slnce pražilo Jonášovi na hlavu, že omdlieval a duša si mu žiadala umrieť. I povedal: „Lepšie mi je zomrieť, ako žiť.“
8 (UKJV) "And it came to pass, when the sun did arise, that God prepared a vehement east wind; and the sun beat upon the head of Jonah, that he fainted, and wished in himself to die, and said, It is better for me to die than to live. "

9 (HEM) ויאמר אלהים אל יונה ההיטב חרה לך על הקיקיון ויאמר היטב חרה לי עד מות׃
9 (VUL) Et dixit Deus ad Ionam: “ Putasne bene irasceris tu super hedera? ”. Et dixit: “ Bene irascor ego usque ad mortem ”.
9 (KAT) Vtedy povedal Boh Jonášovi: „Azda sa právom hneváš na ricínus?“ Odpovedal: „Právom sa hnevám až na smrť.“
9 (UKJV) And God said to Jonah, Do you well to be angry for the gourd? And he said, I do well to be angry, even unto death.

10 (HEM) ויאמר יהוה אתה חסת על הקיקיון אשר לא עמלת בו ולא גדלתו שבן לילה היה ובן לילה אבד׃
10 (VUL) Et dixit Dominus: “ Tu doles super hederam, in qua non laborasti neque fecisti, ut cresceret, quae sub una nocte nata est et sub una nocte periit.
10 (KAT) Pán povedal: „Ty ľutuješ ricínus, na ktorom si nerobil a nevypestoval si ho; ktorý za noc vznikol a za noc zanikol.
10 (UKJV) "Then said the LORD, You have had pity on the gourd, for the which you have not laboured, neither made it grow; which came up in a night, and perished in a night: "

11 (HEM) ואני לא אחוס על נינוה העיר הגדולה אשר יש בה הרבה משתים עשרה רבו אדם אשר לא ידע בין ימינו לשמאלו ובהמה רבה׃
11 (VUL) Et ego non parcam Nineve civitati magnae, in qua sunt plus quam centum viginti milia hominum, qui nesciunt quid sit inter dexteram et sinistram suam, et iumenta multa? ”.
11 (KAT) A ja sa nemám zľutovať nad veľkým mestom Ninive, v ktorom je viac než sto dvadsaťtisíc ľudí, ktorí nevedia rozlišovať medzi pravicou a ľavicou? K tomu množstvo zvierat.“
11 (UKJV) "And should not I spare Nineveh, that great city, wherein are more then sixscore thousand persons that cannot discern between their right hand and their left hand; and also much cattle? "
