Kniha proroka Abdiáša

1 (UKJV) "The vision of Obadiah. Thus says the Lord GOD concerning Edom; We have heard a rumour from the LORD, and an ambassador is sent among the heathen, Arise all of you, and let us rise up against her in battle. "
1 (ROH) Videnie Obadiášovo: Takto hovorí Pán Hospodin o Edomovi: Počuli sme povesť od Hospodina, a posol je poslaný medzi národy, ktorý hovorí: Vstaňte, a nože vstaňme proti nemu do boja!
1 (RIV) Visione di Abdia. Così parla il Signore, l’Eterno, riguardo a Edom: Noi abbiam ricevuto un messaggio dall’Eterno, e un ambasciatore è stato mandato alle nazioni: "Levatevi! Leviamoci contro Edom a combattere!"

2 (UKJV) Behold, I have made you small among the heathen: you are greatly despised.
2 (ROH) Hľa, učinil som ťa malým medzi národami; opovržený si veľmi.
2 (RIV) Ecco, io ti rendo piccolo tra le nazioni, tu sei profondamente sprezzato.

3 (UKJV) "The pride of your heart has deceived you, you that dwell in the clefts of the rock, whose habitation is high; that says in his heart, Who shall bring me down to the ground? "
3 (ROH) Pýcha tvojho srdca ťa oklamala, oj, ty, ktorý bývaš v skalných rozsadlinách, vo svojom vysokom bydlisku, ktorý hovoríš vo svojom srdci: Kto ma strhne na zem?!
3 (RIV) L’orgoglio del tuo cuore t’ha ingannato, o tu che abiti fra le spaccature delle rocce, che son l’alta tua dimora, tu che dici in cuor tuo: "Chi mi trarrà giù a terra?"

4 (UKJV) Though you exalt yourself as the eagle, and though you set your nest among the stars, thence will I bring you down, says the LORD.
4 (ROH) Keby si si spravil vysoko jako orol, a keby si položil svoje hniezdo medzi hviezdami, aj odtiaľ ťa strhnem, hovorí Hospodin.
4 (RIV) Quand’anche tu facessi il tuo nido in alto come l’aquila, quand’anche tu lo ponessi fra le stelle, io ti trarrò giù di là, dice l’Eterno.

5 (UKJV) If thieves came to you, if robbers by night, (how are you cut off!) would they not have stolen till they had enough? if the grape-gatherers came to you, would they not leave some grapes?
5 (ROH) Keby prišli zlodeji na teba, keby lupiči vnoci - Oj, aký si zničený! -, či nenakradnú iba toľko, čo im je dosť? Keby prišli poberači hrozien na teba, či by nezanechali paberkov?
5 (RIV) Se dei ladri e de’ briganti venissero a te di notte, come saresti ruinato! Non ruberebbero essi quanto bastasse loro? Se venissero da te de’ vendemmiatori, non lascerebbero qualcosa da racimolare?

6 (UKJV) How are the things of Esau searched out! how are his hidden things sought up!
6 (ROH) Oj, aké sú prekutané veci Ezavove, prehľadané jeho poklady!
6 (RIV) Oh com’è stato frugato Esaù! Come sono stati cercati i suoi tesori nascosti!

7 (UKJV) "All the men of your confederacy have brought you even to the border: the men that were at peace with you have deceived you, and prevailed against you; that they eat your bread have laid a wound under you: there is none understanding in him. "
7 (ROH) Až k pomedziu ťa vyprevadia všetci tí mužovia, s ktorými máš smluvu; povedú ťa, zmocnia sa ťa mužovia, s ktorými máš pokoj! Tí, ktorí jedia tvoj chlieb, nadstavia ti pascu! Nebude proti tomu rozumu.

8 (UKJV) Shall I not in that day, says the LORD, even destroy the wise men out of Edom, and understanding out of the mount of Esau?
8 (ROH) Či nebude toho dňa tak, hovorí Hospodin, že vyhubím múdrych z Edoma a rozumnosť s vrchu Ezavovho?
8 (RIV) In quel giorno, dice l’Eterno, io farò sparire da Edom i savi e dal monte d’Esaù il discernimento.

9 (UKJV) And your mighty men, O Teman, shall be dismayed, to the end that every one of the mount of Esau may be cut off by slaughter.
9 (ROH) A tvoji udatní sa budú desiť, Témane, aby bol vyťatý človek s vrchu Ezavovho pre vraždu.
9 (RIV) E i tuoi prodi, o Teman, saranno costernati, affinché l’ultimo uomo sia sterminato dal monte di Esaù, nel massacro.

10 (UKJV) For your violence against your brother Jacob shame shall cover you, and you shall be cut off for ever.
10 (ROH) Pre ukrutnosť, ktorú si páchal na svojom bratovi Jakobovi, pokryje ťa hanba, a budeš vyťatý na večnosť.
10 (RIV) A cagione della violenza fatta al tuo fratello Giacobbe, tu sarai coperto d’onta e sarai sterminato per sempre.

11 (UKJV) In the day that you stood on the other side, in the day that the strangers carried away captive his forces, and foreigners entered into his gates, and cast lots upon Jerusalem, even you were as one of them.
11 (ROH) Toho dňa, ktorého si stál naproti, toho dňa, ktorého cudzinci zajímali jeho vojsko, a keď cudzozemci vošli do jeho brán a o Jeruzalem hádzali los, aj ty si bol ako jeden z nich.

12 (ROH) A preto sa nedívaj na deň svojho brata, na deň jeho nešťastia ani sa neraduj nad synmi Júdovými v deň ich zahynutia ani neroztváraj naširoko svojich úst v deň úzkosti.

13 (UKJV) "You should not have entered into the gate of my people in the day of their calamity; yea, you should not have looked on their affliction in the day of their calamity, nor have laid hands on their substance in the day of their calamity; "
13 (ROH) Nevojdi do brány môjho ľudu v deň ich zkazy; nedívaj sa i ty na jeho zlé v deň jeho zkazy; ani nevystri svojej ruky na jeho imanie v deň jeho zkazy.

14 (UKJV) "Neither should you have stood in the crossway, to cut off those of his that did escape; neither should you have delivered up those of his that did remain in the day of distress. "

15 (UKJV) For the day of the LORD is near upon all the heathen: as you have done, it shall be done unto you: your reward shall return upon your own head.
15 (ROH) Lebo je blízko deň Hospodinov, ktorý prijde na všetky tie národy. Jako si robil, tak sa urobí aj tebe; tvoja odplata sa navráti na tvoju hlavu.
15 (RIV) Poiché il giorno dell’Eterno è vicino per tutte le nazioni; come hai fatto, così ti sarà fatto; le tue azioni ti ricadranno sul capo.

16 (UKJV) For as all of you have drunk upon my holy mountain, so shall all the heathen drink continually, yea, they shall drink, and they shall swallow down, and they shall be as though they had not been.
16 (ROH) Lebo jako ste pili na vrchu mojej svätosti, tak budú piť všetky tie národy ustavične, a tedy budú piť a budú hltať a budú, jako keby ich nebolo bývalo.

17 (UKJV) "But upon mount Zion shall be deliverance, and there shall be holiness; and the house of Jacob shall possess their possessions. "

18 (UKJV) "And the house of Jacob shall be a fire, and the house of Joseph a flame, and the house of Esau for stubble, and they shall kindle in them, and devour them; and there shall not be any remaining of the house of Esau; for the LORD has spoken it. "
18 (ROH) A dom Jakobov bude ohňom a dom Jozefov plameňom, a dom Ezavov bude slamou, a rozpália sa na neho a strávia ho, ani nebude toho, kto by pozostal domu Ezavovmu, lebo Hospodin hovoril.
18 (RIV) La casa di Giacobbe sarà un fuoco, e la casa di Giuseppe una fiamma; e la casa d’Esaù come stoppia, ch’essi incendieranno e divoreranno: e nulla più rimarrà della casa d’Esaù, perché l’Eterno ha parlato.

19 (UKJV) "And they of the south shall possess the mount of Esau; and they of the plain the Philistines: and they shall possess the fields of Ephraim, and the fields of Samaria: and Benjamin shall possess Gilead. "
19 (ROH) Tí na juhu budú dedične vládnuť vrchom Ezavovým a tí na rovine Filištínmi a budú dedične vládnuť poľom Efraimovým a poľom Samárie a Benjamin Gileádom.
19 (RIV) Quelli del mezzogiorno possederanno il monte d’Esaù; quelli della pianura il paese de’ Filistei; possederanno i campi d’Efraim e i campi di Samaria; e Beniamino possederà Galaad.

20 (UKJV) "And the captivity of this host of the children of Israel shall possess that of the Canaanites, even unto Zarephath; and the captivity of Jerusalem, which is in Sepharad, shall possess the cities of the south. "
20 (ROH) A zajatí toho vojska synov Izraelových budú vládnuť tým, čo bolo majetkom Kananejov až po Sareptu, a zajatí Jeruzalema, ktorí sú v Sefarade, budú dedične vládnuť mestami na juhu.
20 (RIV) I deportati di questo esercito dei figliuoli d’Israele che sono fra i Cananei fino a Sarepta, e i deportati di Gerusalemme che sono a Sefarad, possederanno le città del mezzogiorno.

21 (UKJV) "And saviours shall come up on mount Zion to judge the mount of Esau; and the kingdom shall be the LORD's. "
21 (ROH) A tak vyjdú záchrancovia na vrch Sion, aby súdili vrch Ezavov, a kráľovstvo bude Hospodinovo.
21 (RIV) E dei liberatori saliranno sul monte Sion per giudicare il monte d’Esaù; e il regno sarà dell’Eterno.
