Kniha proroka Amosa

1 (HEM) הוי השאננים בציון והבטחים בהר שמרון נקבי ראשית הגוים ובאו להם בית ישראל׃
1 (VUL) Vae, qui tranquilli sunt in Sion et confidunt in monte Samariae; designati primitiae populorum, ad quos venit domus Israel!
1 (KAT) Beda bezstarostným na Sione a bezpečným na vrchu Samárie, váženým prvého národa, ku ktorým prichádza Izraelov dom.
1 (UKJV) Woe to them that are at ease in Zion, and trust in the mountain of Samaria, which are named chief of the nations, to whom the house of Israel came!

2 (HEM) עברו כלנה וראו ולכו משם חמת רבה ורדו גת פלשתים הטובים מן הממלכות האלה אם רב גבולם מגבלכם׃
2 (VUL) Transite in Chalanne et videte; et ite inde in Emath magnam et descendite in Geth Palaestinorum. Numquid meliores regnis istis vos, aut latior terminus eorum termino vestro est?
2 (KAT) Prejdite do Kalana a viďte, choďte odtiaľ do veľkého Ematu, potom zostúpte do filištínskeho Getu, či im je lepšie ako týmto kráľovstvám a či majú väčšie územie, než je vaše?
2 (UKJV) "Pass all of you unto Calneh, and see; and from thence go all of you to Hamath the great: then go down to Gath of the Philistines: be they better than these kingdoms? or their border greater than your border? "

3 (HEM) המנדים ליום רע ותגישון שבת חמס׃
3 (VUL) Qui removetis diem malum et appropinquare facitis solium violentiae.
3 (KAT) Odďaľujete zlý deň, ale trón násilia približujete.
3 (UKJV) "All of you that put far away the evil day, and cause the seat of violence to come near; "

4 (HEM) השכבים על מטות שן וסרחים על ערשותם ואכלים כרים מצאן ועגלים מתוך מרבק׃
4 (VUL) Qui dormiunt in lectis eburneis, recumbentes in stratis suis, comedentes agnos de grege et vitulos de medio armenti;
4 (KAT) Sedíte na pohovkách zo slonoviny, vyvaľujete sa na lôžkach, jete baránky zo stáda a teľce z prostriedku čriedy.
4 (UKJV) "That lie upon beds of ivory, and stretch themselves upon their couches, and eat the lambs out of the flock, and the calves out of the midst of the stall; "

5 (HEM) הפרטים על פי הנבל כדויד חשבו להם כלי שיר׃
5 (VUL) canentes ad vocem psalterii, sicut David excogitant sibi vasa cantici;
5 (KAT) Vyspevujú si pri zvuku harfy, vymýšľajú si hudobné nástroje ako Dávid.
5 (UKJV) "That chant to the sound of the viol, and invent to themselves instruments of music, like David; "

6 (HEM) השתים במזרקי יין וראשית שמנים ימשחו ולא נחלו על שבר יוסף׃
6 (VUL) bibentes vinum in phialis, optimis unguentis delibuti, et non sunt contristati super ruina Ioseph.
6 (KAT) Pijú víno z krčahov, natierajú sa najlepším olejom, ale pre podlomenie Jozefa sa netrápia.
6 (UKJV) That drink wine in bowls, and anoint themselves with the chief ointments: but they are not grieved for the affliction of Joseph.

7 (HEM) לכן עתה יגלו בראש גלים וסר מרזח סרוחים׃
7 (VUL) Quapropter nunc migrabunt in capite transmigrantium, et auferetur factio lascivientium.
7 (KAT) Preto pôjdu teraz do zajatia na čele zajatcov, prestane hulákanie tých, čo sa vyvaľujú.
7 (UKJV) Therefore now shall they go captive with the first that go captive, and the banquet of them that stretched themselves shall be removed.

8 (HEM) נשבע אדני יהוה בנפשו נאם יהוה אלהי צבאות מתאב אנכי את גאון יעקב וארמנתיו שנאתי והסגרתי עיר ומלאה׃
8 (VUL) Iuravit Dominus Deus in anima sua, dicit Dominus, Deus exercituum: “ Detestor ego superbiam Iacob et domos eius odi et tradam civitatem et plenitudinem eius ”.

8 (UKJV) The Lord GOD has sworn by himself, says the LORD the God of hosts, I detest the excellency of Jacob, and hate his palaces: therefore will I deliver up the city with all that is therein.

9 (HEM) והיה אם יותרו עשרה אנשים בבית אחד ומתו׃
9 (VUL) Quod si reliqui fuerint decem viri in domo una, et ipsi morientur;
9 (KAT) Ak vtedy ostane v jednom dome desať mužov, zomrú.
9 (UKJV) And it shall come to pass, if there remain ten men in one house, that they shall die.

10 (HEM) ונשאו דודו ומסרפו להוציא עצמים מן הבית ואמר לאשר בירכתי הבית העוד עמך ואמר אפס ואמר הס כי לא להזכיר בשם יהוה׃
10 (VUL) et tollet eum propinquus suus et comburet eum, ut efferat ossa de domo, et dicet ei, qui in penetralibus domus est: “ Numquid adhuc est penes te? ”. Et respondebit: “Non est”; et dicet ei: “Tace!”; non est qui recordetur nominis Domini.

11 (HEM) כי הנה יהוה מצוה והכה הבית הגדול רסיסים והבית הקטן בקעים׃
11 (VUL) Quia ecce Dominus mandat et percutiet domum maiorem ruinis et domum minorem scissionibus.
11 (KAT) Lebo hľa, Pán dáva rozkaz a rozbije veľký dom na sutiny a malý dom na kúsky.
11 (UKJV) For, behold, the LORD commands, and he will strike the great house with breaches, and the little house with clefts.

12 (HEM) הירצון בסלע סוסים אם יחרוש בבקרים כי הפכתם לראש משפט ופרי צדקה ללענה׃
12 (VUL) Numquid currunt in petris equi, aut aratur mare in bobus, quoniam convertistis in venenum iudicium et fructum iustitiae in absinthium?
12 (KAT) Či po skalách bežia kone a orú more na voloch? Veď ste na jed obrátili právo a ovocie spravodlivosti na palinu.
12 (UKJV) Shall horses run upon the rock? will one plow there with oxen? for all of you have turned judgment into gall, and the fruit of righteousness into hemlock:

13 (HEM) השמחים ללא דבר האמרים הלוא בחזקנו לקחנו לנו קרנים׃
13 (VUL) Qui laetantur pro Lodabar, qui dicunt: “ Numquid non in fortitudine nostra cepimus nobis Carnaim? ”.
13 (KAT) Čo sa tešíte pre ničomnosť? - Čo vravíte: „A nezaujali sme vlastnou silou Karnaim?“
13 (UKJV) All of you which rejoice in a thing of nothing, which say, Have we not taken to us horns by our own strength?

14 (HEM) כי הנני מקים עליכם בית ישראל נאם יהוה אלהי הצבאות גוי ולחצו אתכם מלבוא חמת עד נחל הערבה׃
14 (VUL) “ Ecce enim suscitabo super vos, domus Israel, dicit Dominus, Deus exercituum, gentem; et oppriment vos ab introitu Emath usque ad torrentem Arabae ”.
14 (KAT) „Lebo, hľa, ja vzbudím proti vám, dom Izraela, hovorí Pán, Boh zástupov - národ a bude vás utláčať od priechodu do Ematu až po Potok púšte.“
14 (UKJV) "But, behold, I will raise up against you a nation, O house of Israel, says the LORD the God of hosts; and they shall afflict you from the entering in of Hemath unto the river of the wilderness. "
