1 (HEM) דברי עמוס אשר היה בנקדים מתקוע אשר חזה על ישראל בימי עזיה מלך יהודה ובימי ירבעם בן יואש מלך ישראל שנתים לפני הרעש׃
1 (VUL) Verba Amos, qui fuit in pastori bus de Thecua; quae vidit super Israel in diebus Oziae regis Iudae et in diebus Ieroboam filii Ioas regis Israel, duobus annis ante terraemotum.
1 (KAT) Slová Amosa, jedného z pastierov v Tekue, ktoré videl proti Izraelu v dňoch júdskeho kráľa Oziáša a v dňoch izraelského kráľa Jeroboama syna Joasovho, dva roky pred zemetrasením.
1 (UKJV) The words of Amos, who was among the herdmen of Tekoa, which he saw concerning Israel in the days of Uzziah king of Judah, and in the days of Jeroboam the son of Joash king of Israel, two years before the earthquake.

2 (HEM) ויאמר יהוה מציון ישאג ומירושלם יתן קולו ואבלו נאות הרעים ויבש ראש הכרמל׃
2 (VUL) Et dixit: “ Dominus de Sion rugit et de Ierusalem dat vocem suam; et lugent pascua pastorum, et exsiccatur vertex Carmeli ”.
2 (KAT) I povedal: „Pán volá zo Siona, z Jeruzalema vydáva svoj hlas. Smútia nivy pastierov a zoschýna vrchol Karmelu.“
2 (UKJV) "And he said, The LORD will roar from Zion, and utter his voice from Jerusalem; and the habitations of the shepherds shall mourn, and the top of Carmel shall wither. "

3 (HEM) כה אמר יהוה על שלשה פשעי דמשק ועל ארבעה לא אשיבנו על דושם בחרצות הברזל את הגלעד׃
3 (VUL) Haec dicit Dominus: “ Super tribus sceleribus Damasci et super quattuor verbum non revocabo: eo quod trituraverint in plaustris ferreis Galaad,
3 (KAT) Toto hovorí Pán: „Pre tri hriechy Damasku, ba pre štyri - neodvolám to: pretože mláťačkou železnou mlátili Galaád,
3 (UKJV) "Thus says the LORD; For three transgressions of Damascus, and for four, I will not turn away the punishment thereof; because they have threshed Gilead with threshing instruments of iron: "

4 (HEM) ושלחתי אש בבית חזאל ואכלה ארמנות בן הדד׃
4 (VUL) mittam ignem in domum Hazael, et devorabit aedes Benadad;
4 (KAT) vrhnem oheň na Hazaelov dom a strávi Benadadove paláce.
4 (UKJV) But I will send a fire into the house of Hazael, which shall devour the palaces of Benhadad.

5 (HEM) ושברתי בריח דמשק והכרתי יושב מבקעת און ותומך שבט מבית עדן וגלו עם ארם קירה אמר יהוה׃
5 (VUL) conteram vectem Damasci et disperdam habitatorem de Biceataven et tenentem sceptrum de Betheden; et transferetur populus Syriae Cir ”, dicit Dominus.
5 (KAT) Zlámem závory Damasku, vykynožím obyvateľov z údolia hriechu a z Bet Edenu toho, čo drží žezlo, ľud Aramu však pôjde do Kíru“ - hovorí Pán.
5 (UKJV) I will break also the bar of Damascus, and cut off the inhabitant from the plain of Aven, and him that holds the sceptre from the house of Eden: and the people of Syria shall go into captivity unto Kir, says the LORD.

6 (HEM) כה אמר יהוה על שלשה פשעי עזה ועל ארבעה לא אשיבנו על הגלותם גלות שלמה להסגיר לאדום׃
6 (VUL) Haec dicit Dominus: “ Super tribus sceleribus Gazae et super quattuor verbum non revocabo: eo quod transtulerint captivitatem perfectam, ut traderent eam in Edom,
6 (KAT) Toto hovorí Pán: „Pre tri hriechy Gazy, ba pre štyri - neodvolám to: pretože odviedli všetkých do zajatia, aby ich vydali Edomu,
6 (UKJV) "Thus says the LORD; For three transgressions of Gaza, and for four, I will not turn away the punishment thereof; because they carried away captive the whole captivity, to deliver them up to Edom: "

7 (HEM) ושלחתי אש בחומת עזה ואכלה ארמנתיה׃
7 (VUL) mittam ignem in murum Gazae, et devorabit aedes eius;
7 (KAT) vrhnem oheň na múry Gazy a strávi jej paláce.
7 (UKJV) But I will send a fire on the wall of Gaza, which shall devour the palaces thereof:

8 (HEM) והכרתי יושב מאשדוד ותומך שבט מאשקלון והשיבותי ידי על עקרון ואבדו שארית פלשתים אמר אדני יהוה׃
8 (VUL) disperdam habitatorem de Azoto et tenentem sceptrum de Ascalone; convertam manum meam super Accaron, et peribunt reliqui Philisthinorum ”, dicit Dominus Deus.
8 (KAT) Vykynožím obyvateľov Azotu a z Askalonu toho, čo drží žezlo; vystriem ruku proti Akaronu, takže zhynú zvyšky Filištíncov“ - hovorí Pán, Jahve.
8 (UKJV) And I will cut off the inhabitant from Ashdod, and him that holds the sceptre from Ashkelon, and I will turn mine hand against Ekron: and the remnant of the Philistines shall perish, says the Lord GOD.

9 (HEM) כה אמר יהוה על שלשה פשעי צר ועל ארבעה לא אשיבנו על הסגירם גלות שלמה לאדום ולא זכרו ברית אחים׃
9 (VUL) Haec dicit Dominus: “ Super tribus sceleribus Tyri et super quattuor verbum non revocabo: eo quod tradiderint captivitatem perfectam in Edom et non sint recordati foederis fratrum,
9 (KAT) Toto hovorí Pán: „Pre tri hriechy Týru, ba pre štyri - neodvolám to: pretože vydali všetkých zajatcov Edomu a nepamätali na bratskú zmluvu,
9 (UKJV) "Thus says the LORD; For three transgressions of Tyrus, and for four, I will not turn away the punishment thereof; because they delivered up the whole captivity to Edom, and remembered not the brotherly covenant: "

10 (HEM) ושלחתי אש בחומת צר ואכלה ארמנותיה׃
10 (VUL) mittam ignem in murum Tyri, et devorabit aedes eius ”.
10 (KAT) vrhnem oheň na múry Týru a strávi jeho paláce.“
10 (UKJV) But I will send a fire on the wall of Tyrus, which shall devour the palaces thereof.

11 (HEM) כה אמר יהוה על שלשה פשעי אדום ועל ארבעה לא אשיבנו על רדפו בחרב אחיו ושחת רחמיו ויטרף לעד אפו ועברתו שמרה נצח׃
11 (VUL) Haec dicit Dominus: “ Super tribus sceleribus Edom et super quattuor verbum non revocabo: eo quod persecutus sit in gladio fratrem suum et violaverit misericordiam eius et tenuerit ultra furorem suum et indignationem suam servaverit usque in finem,
11 (KAT) Toto hovorí Pán: „Pre tri hriechy Edomu, ba pre štyri - neodvolám to: pretože mečom stíhal svojho brata, zničil lásku k nemu, jednostaj držal svoj hnev a svoju zlosť prechovával večne,
11 (UKJV) "Thus says the LORD; For three transgressions of Edom, and for four, I will not turn away the punishment thereof; because he did pursue his brother with the sword, and did cast off all pity, and his anger did tear perpetually, and he kept his wrath for ever: "

12 (HEM) ושלחתי אש בתימן ואכלה ארמנות בצרה׃
12 (VUL) mittam ignem in Theman, et devorabit aedes Bosrae ”.
12 (KAT) vrhnem oheň na Teman a strávi paláce Bozry.“
12 (UKJV) But I will send a fire upon Teman, which shall devour the palaces of Bozrah.

13 (HEM) כה אמר יהוה על שלשה פשעי בני עמון ועל ארבעה לא אשיבנו על בקעם הרות הגלעד למען הרחיב את גבולם׃
13 (VUL) Haec dicit Dominus: “ Super tribus sceleribus filiorum Ammon et super quattuor verbum non revocabo: eo quod dissecuerint praegnantes Galaad ad dilatandum terminum suum,
13 (KAT) Toto hovorí Pán: „Pre tri hriechy Amonových synov, ba pre štyri - neodvolám to: pretože rozparovali ťarchavé Galaádu, aby rozšírili svoje hranice,
13 (UKJV) "Thus says the LORD; For three transgressions of the children of Ammon, and for four, I will not turn away the punishment thereof; because they have ripped up the women with child of Gilead, that they might enlarge their border: "

14 (HEM) והצתי אש בחומת רבה ואכלה ארמנותיה בתרועה ביום מלחמה בסער ביום סופה׃
14 (VUL) succendam ignem in muro Rabba, et devorabit aedes eius in ululatu in die belli et in turbine in die procellae;
14 (KAT) zapálim oheň na múroch Raby, takže strávi jej paláce za lomozu v deň vojny, za búrky v deň víchrice.
14 (UKJV) But I will kindle a fire in the wall of Rabbah, and it shall devour the palaces thereof, with shouting in the day of battle, with a tempest in the day of the whirlwind:

15 (HEM) והלך מלכם בגולה הוא ושריו יחדו אמר יהוה׃
15 (VUL) et ibit rex eorum in captivitatem, ipse et principes eius simul ”, dicit Dominus.
15 (KAT) Jej kráľ pôjde do zajatia, on a s ním jeho kniežatá“ - hovorí Pán.
15 (UKJV) And their king shall go into captivity, he and his princes together, says the LORD.
