Kniha Levitikus

1 (KAT) Pán vravel Mojžišovi: „Hovor kňazom, Áronovým synom, a povedz im: Nepoškvrňte sa mŕtvolou niektorého súkmeňovca,
1 (VUL) Dixit quoque Dominus ad Moysen: “ Loquere ad sacer dotes filios Aaron et dices eis: Ne contaminetur sacerdos in mortibus civium suorum,
1 (UKJV) And the LORD said unto Moses, Speak unto the priests the sons of Aaron, and say unto them, There shall none be defiled for the dead among his people:

2 (KAT) okrem mŕtvoly najbližších príbuzných, a to svojej matky, svojho otca, svojho syna, svojej dcéry, svojho brata
2 (VUL) nisi tantum in consanguineis propinquis, id est super matre et patre et filio ac filia, fratre quoque
2 (UKJV) But for his kin, that is near unto him, that is, for his mother, and for his father, and for his son, and for his daughter, and for his brother.

3 (KAT) a svojej sestry, ak je ešte panna a je mu blízko, lebo nepatrí nijakému mužovi; ňou sa môže poškvrniť.
3 (VUL) et sorore virgine propinqua, quae non est nupta viro; in ipsa contaminabitur.
3 (UKJV) "And for his sister a virgin, that is nigh unto him, which has had no husband; for her may he be defiled. "

4 (KAT) Ale (mŕtvolou) niekoho iného zo svojho ľudu sa nesmie poškvrniť a tým znesvätiť.
4 (VUL) Non contaminabitur ut maritus in cognatis suis, ne profanetur.
4 (UKJV) But he shall not defile himself, being a chief man among his people, to profane himself.

5 (KAT) Neostrihajú si hlavy dohola, ani bokombriadky si neoholia a neurobia si na tele zárezy.
5 (VUL) Non radent caput nec barbam neque in carne sua facient incisuras.
5 (UKJV) They shall not make baldness upon their head, neither shall they shave off the corner of their beard, nor make any cuttings in their flesh.

6 (KAT) Sú zasvätení svojmu Bohu a nesmú znesvätiť meno svojho Boha. Oni prinášajú Pánovi zápalné žertvy, chlieb svojho Boha, preto nech sú svätí.
6 (VUL) Sancti erunt Deo suo et non polluent nomen eius: incensa enim Domini et panem Dei sui offerunt et ideo sancti erunt.
6 (UKJV) They shall be holy unto their God, and not profane the name of their God: for the offerings of the LORD made by fire, and the bread of their God, they do offer: therefore they shall be holy.

7 (KAT) Nesmú si vziať za ženu ani pobehlicu, ani padlú, ani ženu zapudenú od svojho muža si nevezmú, lebo (kňaz) je zasvätený svojmu Bohu.
7 (VUL) Scortum et oppressam non ducent uxorem nec eam, quae repudiata est a marito, quia consecratus est Deo suo.
7 (UKJV) "They shall not take a wife that is a whore, or profane; neither shall they take a woman put away from her husband: for he is holy unto his God. "

8 (KAT) A ty ho uctievaj, lebo on predkladá chlieb svojho Boha. Nech ti je svätým, lebo ja, Pán, ktorý vás posväcujem, som svätý!
8 (VUL) Et sanctificabis eum, quia panem Dei sui offert. Sit ergo sanctus tibi, quia ego sanctus sum, Dominus, qui sanctifico vos.
8 (UKJV) "You shall sanctify him therefore; for he offers the bread of your God: he shall be holy unto you: for I the LORD, which sanctify you, am holy. "

9 (KAT) Ak sa kňazova dcéra znesvätí smilstvom, znesvätí svojho otca, bude bez milosti upálená.
9 (VUL) Sacerdotis filia, si profanaverit se stupro, profanat nomen patris sui; flammis exuretur.
9 (UKJV) And the daughter of any priest, if she profane herself by playing the whore, she profanes her father: she shall be burnt with fire.

10 (KAT) Ale kňaz, ktorý je najvyšší medzi svojimi bratmi, na ktorého hlavu bol vyliaty olej pomazania a ktorého posvätili a obliekli do posvätného rúcha, nenechá si rozpustené vlasy, ani si neroztrhne rúcho.
10 (VUL) Sacerdos maximus inter fratres suos, super cuius caput fusum est unctionis oleum, et cuius manus in sacerdotio consecratae sunt, vestitusque est sanctis vestibus, comam suam non excutiet, vestimenta non scindet
10 (UKJV) "And he that is the high priest among his brethren, upon whose head the anointing oil was poured, and that is consecrated to put on the garments, shall not uncover his head, nor rend his clothes; "

11 (KAT) Nepriblíži sa k nijakej mŕtvole, ani svojím otcom sa nepoškvrní, ani svojou matkou.
11 (VUL) et ad omnem mortuum non ingredietur omnino; super patre quoque suo et matre non contaminabitur.
11 (UKJV) "Neither shall he go in to any dead body, nor defile himself for his father, or for his mother; "

12 (KAT) Nesmie opustiť svätyňu a neznesvätí svätyňu svojho Boha, lebo je na ňom posvätenie Božím olejom pomazania. Ja som Pán!
12 (VUL) Nec egredietur de sanctuario, ne polluat sanctuarium Domini, quia consecratus est oleo unctionis Dei sui. Ego Dominus.
12 (UKJV) "Neither shall he go out of the sanctuary, nor profane the sanctuary of his God; for the crown of the anointing oil of his God is upon him: I am the LORD. "

13 (KAT) Za ženu si vezme pannu.
13 (VUL) Virginem ducet uxorem;
13 (UKJV) And he shall take a wife in her virginity.

14 (KAT) Vdovu, zapudenú ženu, padlú alebo pobehlicu si nesmie vziať. Iba pannu zo svojho ľudu si vezme za ženu,
14 (VUL) viduam et repudiatam et oppressam atque meretricem non accipiet, sed virginem de cognatis suis ducet uxorem.
14 (UKJV) A widow, or a divorced woman, or profane, or an harlot, these shall he not take: but he shall take a virgin of his own people to wife.

15 (KAT) aby neznesvätil svoje potomstvo vo svojom národe. Lebo ja som Pán, ktorý ho posväcujem!“
15 (VUL) Ne profanet stirpem suam inter cognatos suos, quia ego Dominus, qui sanctifico eum ”.
15 (UKJV) Neither shall he profane his seed among his people: for I the LORD do sanctify him.

16 (KAT) Pán hovoril Mojžišovi:
16 (VUL) Locutusque est Dominus ad Moysen dicens:
16 (UKJV) And the LORD spoke unto Moses, saying,

17 (KAT) „Povedz Áronovi: Ak by mal v budúcich pokoleniach niekto z tvojho potomstva nejakú telesnú chybu, ten sa nesmie priblížiť, aby predložil chlieb svojho Boha.
17 (VUL) “ Loquere ad Aaron: Homo de semine tuo in generationibus suis, qui habuerit maculam, non accedet, ut offerat panem Dei sui;
17 (UKJV) Speak unto Aaron, saying, Whosoever he be of your seed in their generations that has any blemish, let him not approach to offer the bread of his God.

18 (KAT) Nesmie sa priblížiť nik, kto má telesnú chybu: nik slepý, krivý, zohyzdený na tvári, alebo kto má niektorý úd dlhší,
18 (VUL) quia quicumque habuerit maculam, non accedet: si caecus fuerit vel claudus, si mutilo naso vel deformis,
18 (UKJV) For whatsoever man he be that has a blemish, he shall not approach: a blind man, or a lame, or he that has a flat nose, or any thing superfluous,

19 (KAT) alebo so zlomenou nohou či rukou,
19 (VUL) si fracto pede vel manu,
19 (UKJV) Or a man that is broken footed, or broken handed,

20 (KAT) alebo hrbatý, suchotinársky, s beľmom na oku, ani kto má prašivosť alebo lišaj, ani vykleštenec.
20 (VUL) si gibbus, si pusillus, si albuginem habens in oculo, si iugem scabiem, si impetiginem in corpore vel contritos testiculos.
20 (UKJV) "Or crooked back, or a dwarf, or that has a blemish in his eye, or be scurvy, or scabbed, or has his stones broken; "

21 (KAT) Nik, kto by mal z potomstva kňaza Árona telesnú chybu, nesmie sa priblížiť, aby priniesol zápalnú žertvu Pánovi. Má chybu, nech sa nepribližuje obetovať chlieb svojho Boha!
21 (VUL) Omnis, qui habuerit maculam de semine Aaron sacerdotis, non accedet offerre incensa Domini nec panem Dei sui.
21 (UKJV) "No man that has a blemish of the seed of Aaron the priest shall come nigh to offer the offerings of the LORD made by fire: he has a blemish; he shall not come nigh to offer the bread of his God. "

22 (KAT) Ale chlieb svojho Boha, svätosväté a sväté, môže jesť.
22 (VUL) Vescetur tamen pane Dei sui de sanctissimis et de sanctis.
22 (UKJV) He shall eat the bread of his God, both of the most holy, and of the holy.

23 (KAT) Len cez oponu nesmie prejsť a pristúpiť k oltáru, lebo má telesnú chybu, aby nepoškvrnil moju svätyňu. Ja som Pán, ktorý ich posväcujem!“
23 (VUL) Sed ad velum non ingrediatur nec accedat ad altare, quia maculam habet et contaminare non debet sanctuaria mea, quia ego Dominus, qui sanctifico ea ”.
23 (UKJV) "Only he shall not go in unto the vail, nor come nigh unto the altar, because he has a blemish; that he profane not my sanctuaries: for I the LORD do sanctify them. "

24 (KAT) A Mojžiš to oznámil Áronovi, jeho synom a všetkým Izraelitom.
24 (VUL) Locutus est ergo Moyses ad Aaron et filios eius et ad omnem Israel.
24 (UKJV) And Moses told it unto Aaron, and to his sons, and unto all the children of Israel.
