1 (KJV) And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,
1 (ROH) A Hospodin hovoril Mojžišovi a riekol:
2 (KJV) Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, I am the LORD your God.
2 (ROH) Hovor synom Izraelovým a povieš im: Ja som Hospodin, váš Bôh.
3 (KJV) After the doings of the land of Egypt, wherein ye dwelt, shall ye not do: and after the doings of the land of Canaan, whither I bring you, shall ye not do: neither shall ye walk in their ordinances.
3 (ROH) Podľa skutkov Egyptskej zeme, v ktorej ste bývali, nebudete robiť ani podľa skutkov Kanaánskej zeme, do ktorej vás vovediem, nebudete robiť ani nebudete chodiť v ich ustanoveniach.
4 (KJV) Ye shall do my judgments, and keep mine ordinances, to walk therein: I am the LORD your God.
4 (ROH) Moje súdy budete činiť a budete ostríhať moje ustanovenia, aby ste v nich chodili. Ja som Hospodin, váš Bôh.
5 (KJV) Ye shall therefore keep my statutes, and my judgments: which if a man do, he shall live in them: I am the LORD.
5 (ROH) A tedy budete ostríhať moje ustanovenia a moje súdy, ktoré, keď bude činiť človek, bude nimi žiť. Ja som Hospodin.
6 (KJV) None of you shall approach to any that is near of kin to him, to uncover their nakedness: I am the LORD.
6 (ROH) Nikto z vás sa nepriblíži k niktorému svojmu pokrevnému nato, aby odkryl jeho nahotu. Ja som Hospodin.
7 (KJV) The nakedness of thy father, or the nakedness of thy mother, shalt thou not uncover: she is thy mother; thou shalt not uncover her nakedness.
7 (ROH) Neodkryješ nahoty svojho otca ani nahoty svojej matere; je to tvoja mater, neodkryješ jej nahoty.
8 (KJV) The nakedness of thy father's wife shalt thou not uncover: it is thy father's nakedness.
8 (ROH) Neodkryješ nahoty ženy svojho otca; je to nahota tvojho otca.
9 (KJV) The nakedness of thy sister, the daughter of thy father, or daughter of thy mother, whether she be born at home, or born abroad, even their nakedness thou shalt not uncover.
9 (ROH) Neodkryješ nahoty svojej sestry, dcéry svojeho otca alebo dcéry svojej matere, už či by bola narodená v dome alebo či by bola narodená inde; neodkryješ ich nahoty.
10 (KJV) The nakedness of thy son's daughter, or of thy daughter's daughter, even their nakedness thou shalt not uncover: for theirs is thine own nakedness.
10 (ROH) Neodkryješ nahoty svojej vnučky, dcéry svojeho syna alebo dcéry svojej dcéry, lebo sú tvojou nahotou.
11 (KJV) The nakedness of thy father's wife's daughter, begotten of thy father, she is thy sister, thou shalt not uncover her nakedness.
11 (ROH) Neodkryješ nahoty dcéry ženy svojeho otca, ktorá je splodená od tvojho otca; je tvoje sestra, neodkryješ jej nahoty.
12 (KJV) Thou shalt not uncover the nakedness of thy father's sister: she is thy father's near kinswoman.
12 (ROH) Neodkryješ nahoty svojej tetky, sestry svojeho otca; je pokrevná tvojho otca.
13 (KJV) Thou shalt not uncover the nakedness of thy mother's sister: for she is thy mother's near kinswoman.

15 (KJV) Thou shalt not uncover the nakedness of thy daughter in law: she is thy son's wife; thou shalt not uncover her nakedness.
15 (ROH) Neodkryješ nahoty svojej nevesty; je žena tvojho syna, neodkryješ jej nahoty.
16 (KJV) Thou shalt not uncover the nakedness of thy brother's wife: it is thy brother's nakedness.
16 (ROH) Neodkryješ nahoty svojej švagrinej, ženy svojho brata; je nahotou tvojho brata.
17 (KJV) Thou shalt not uncover the nakedness of a woman and her daughter, neither shalt thou take her son's daughter, or her daughter's daughter, to uncover her nakedness; for they are her near kinswomen: it is wickedness.
17 (ROH) Neodkryješ nahoty ženy a jej dcéry. Nevezmeš si dcéry jej syna ani dcéry jej dcéry, aby si odkryl jej nahotu; pokrevné sú; to je mrzká vec.
18 (KJV) Neither shalt thou take a wife to her sister, to vex her, to uncover her nakedness, beside the other in her life time.
18 (ROH) A nevezmeš si ženy ku jej sestre, aby si ju sužoval odkrývajúc jej nahotu popri nej za jej života.
19 (KJV) Also thou shalt not approach unto a woman to uncover her nakedness, as long as she is put apart for her uncleanness.
19 (ROH) A k žene, keď je v odlúčenosti svojej nečistoty, sa nepriblížiš, aby si odkryl jej nahotu.
20 (KJV) Moreover thou shalt not lie carnally with thy neighbour's wife, to defile thyself with her.
20 (ROH) A so ženou svojho blížneho nebudeš obcovať v súloži, aby si sa ňou zanečistil.
21 (KJV) And thou shalt not let any of thy seed pass through the fire to Molech, neither shalt thou profane the name of thy God: I am the LORD.
21 (ROH) A nedáš, aby niekto z tvojho semena bol prevedený cez oheň Molochovi, a nepoškvrníš mena svojho Boha. Ja som Hospodin.
22 (KJV) Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind: it is abomination.
22 (ROH) Nebudeš ležať s mužským pohlavím, ako sa líha so ženou; to je ohavnosť.
23 (KJV) Neither shalt thou lie with any beast to defile thyself therewith: neither shall any woman stand before a beast to lie down thereto: it is confusion.
23 (ROH) Ani nebudeš obcovať v súloži s niktorým hovädom, aby si sa ním zanečistil, ako ani žena sa nepostaví na súlož pred hovädo; to je ohavná premrštenosť.
24 (KJV) Defile not ye yourselves in any of these things: for in all these the nations are defiled which I cast out before you:
24 (ROH) Nezanečistite sa niktorou z tých vecí, lebo všetkými tými vecami zanečisťovali sa pohania, ktorých vyženiem zpred vašej tvári.
25 (KJV) And the land is defiled: therefore I do visit the iniquity thereof upon it, and the land itself vomiteth out her inhabitants.
25 (ROH) Lebo sa zanečistila zem, a preto navštívim jej neprávosť na nej, a zem vyvráti svojich obyvateľov.
26 (KJV) Ye shall therefore keep my statutes and my judgments, and shall not commit any of these abominations; neither any of your own nation, nor any stranger that sojourneth among you:
26 (ROH) Ale vy budete ostríhať moje ustanovenia a moje súdy a nevykonáte niktorej z tých ohavností ani zrodený doma ani pohostín, ktorý pohostíni medzi vami.
27 (KJV) (For all these abominations have the men of the land done, which were before you, and the land is defiled;)
27 (ROH) Lebo všetky tie ohavnosti robia ľudia zeme, ktorí sú pred vami, a zanečistená je zem.
28 (KJV) That the land spue not you out also, when ye defile it, as it spued out the nations that were before you.
28 (ROH) Aby aj vás nevyvrátila zem preto, že by ste ju zanečistili, tak ako vyvráti národ, ktorý je pred vami.
29 (KJV) For whosoever shall commit any of these abominations, even the souls that commit them shall be cut off from among their people.
29 (ROH) Lebo každý, kto by urobil niektorú z tých ohavností, duše, ktoré by to urobily, budú vyťaté zprostred svojho ľudu.
30 (KJV) Therefore shall ye keep mine ordinance, that ye commit not any one of these abominable customs, which were committed before you, and that ye defile not yourselves therein: I am the LORD your God.
30 (ROH) A preto budete ostríhať moje nariadenie, aby ste neurobili niktorého z tých ohavných ustanovení, ktoré sa robily pred vami, a nezanečistíte sa nimi. Ja som Hospodin, váš Bôh.

Verš 5
Ye shall therefore keep my statutes, and my judgments: which if a man do, he shall live in them: I am the LORD.
Ez 20:11 - And I gave them my statutes, and shewed them my judgments, which if a man do, he shall even live in them.
Ez 20:13 - But the house of Israel rebelled against me in the wilderness: they walked not in my statutes, and they despised my judgments, which if a man do, he shall even live in them; and my sabbaths they greatly polluted: then I said, I would pour out my fury upon them in the wilderness, to consume them.
Rim 10:5 - For Moses describeth the righteousness which is of the law, That the man which doeth those things shall live by them.
Gal 3:12 - And the law is not of faith: but, The man that doeth them shall live in them.
Verš 8
The nakedness of thy father's wife shalt thou not uncover: it is thy father's nakedness.
Lv 20:11 - And the man that lieth with his father's wife hath uncovered his father's nakedness: both of them shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them.
1Kor 5:1 - It is reported commonly that there is fornication among you, and such fornication as is not so much as named among the Gentiles, that one should have his father's wife.

The nakedness of thy father's wife's daughter, begotten of thy father, she is thy sister, thou shalt not uncover her nakedness.
Lv 20:17 - And if a man shall take his sister, his father's daughter, or his mother's daughter, and see her nakedness, and she see his nakedness; it is a wicked thing; and they shall be cut off in the sight of their people: he hath uncovered his sister's nakedness; he shall bear his iniquity.

Thou shalt not uncover the nakedness of thy father's sister: she is thy father's near kinswoman.
Lv 20:19 - And thou shalt not uncover the nakedness of thy mother's sister, nor of thy father's sister: for he uncovereth his near kin: they shall bear their iniquity.
Verš 14
Thou shalt not uncover the nakedness of thy father's brother, thou shalt not approach to his wife: she is thine aunt.
Lv 20:20 - And if a man shall lie with his uncle's wife, he hath uncovered his uncle's nakedness: they shall bear their sin; they shall die childless.
Ez 22:11 - And one hath committed abomination with his neighbour's wife; and another hath lewdly defiled his daughter in law; and another in thee hath humbled his sister, his father's daughter.

Thou shalt not uncover the nakedness of thy daughter in law: she is thy son's wife; thou shalt not uncover her nakedness.
Lv 20:12 - And if a man lie with his daughter in law, both of them shall surely be put to death: they have wrought confusion; their blood shall be upon them.
Verš 16
Thou shalt not uncover the nakedness of thy brother's wife: it is thy brother's nakedness.
Lv 20:21 - And if a man shall take his brother's wife, it is an unclean thing: he hath uncovered his brother's nakedness; they shall be childless.
Verš 17
Thou shalt not uncover the nakedness of a woman and her daughter, neither shalt thou take her son's daughter, or her daughter's daughter, to uncover her nakedness; for they are her near kinswomen: it is wickedness.
Lv 20:14 - And if a man take a wife and her mother, it is wickedness: they shall be burnt with fire, both he and they; that there be no wickedness among you.

Also thou shalt not approach unto a woman to uncover her nakedness, as long as she is put apart for her uncleanness.
Lv 20:18 - And if a man shall lie with a woman having her sickness, and shall uncover her nakedness; he hath discovered her fountain, and she hath uncovered the fountain of her blood: and both of them shall be cut off from among their people.

Moreover thou shalt not lie carnally with thy neighbour's wife, to defile thyself with her.
Lv 20:10 - And the man that committeth adultery with another man's wife, even he that committeth adultery with his neighbour's wife, the adulterer and the adulteress shall surely be put to death.
Verš 21
And thou shalt not let any of thy seed pass through the fire to Molech, neither shalt thou profane the name of thy God: I am the LORD.
Lv 20:2 - Again, thou shalt say to the children of Israel, Whosoever he be of the children of Israel, or of the strangers that sojourn in Israel, that giveth any of his seed unto Molech; he shall surely be put to death: the people of the land shall stone him with stones.
Dt 18:10 - There shall not be found among you any one that maketh his son or his daughter to pass through the fire, or that useth divination, or an observer of times, or an enchanter, or a witch,
2Kr 17:17 - And they caused their sons and their daughters to pass through the fire, and used divination and enchantments, and sold themselves to do evil in the sight of the LORD, to provoke him to anger.
2Kr 23:10 - And he defiled Topheth, which is in the valley of the children of Hinnom, that no man might make his son or his daughter to pass through the fire to Molech.
Verš 22
Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind: it is abomination.
Lv 20:13 - If a man also lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination: they shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them.
Verš 23
Neither shalt thou lie with any beast to defile thyself therewith: neither shall any woman stand before a beast to lie down thereto: it is confusion.
Lv 20:15 - And if a man lie with a beast, he shall surely be put to death: and ye shall slay the beast.
Verš 26
Ye shall therefore keep my statutes and my judgments, and shall not commit any of these abominations; neither any of your own nation, nor any stranger that sojourneth among you:
Lv 20:22 - Ye shall therefore keep all my statutes, and all my judgments, and do them: that the land, whither I bring you to dwell therein, spue you not out.
Lv 18,1 - V hlave sa opisuje svätosť manželského zväzku. Zakazuje sa nasledovať Egypťanov a najmä Kanaánčanov, ktorých mravná skazenosť bola známa (Gn 19,5; 29,30.31; 39,6.7).
Lv 18,7-8 - Zakazuje sa pohlavné obcovanie a manželstvo medzi pokrvnými a aj medzi niektorými príbuznými. "Odkryť nahotu" je eufemizmus pre označenie telesného styku. Pretože otec a matka sú jedno telo, odkryje sa nahota otcova, keď sa odkryje nahota matkina. Zakazuje sa teda pohlavný styk medzi synom a matkou a medzi otcom a dcérou.
Lv 18,8-9 - Zakazuje sa manželstvo s nevlastnou matkou, čiže druhoradou ženou otcovou, s vlastnou a nevlastnou sestrou atď.
Lv 18,18 - Nebolo možno vziať si dve sestry súčasne, i keď sa trpelo mnohoženstvo. To by bolo príčinou žiarlivosti a nepokoja (Gn 29,30). – Mnohé z týchto zákonov už platili pred Mojžišom, teraz sa obnovujú a zdokonaľujú.
Lv 18,19 - Porov. 12; 15,19.24.
Lv 18,21 - Moloch, boh slnka u Kanaánčanov, Milkom u Amončanov, Melkart u Feničanov uctieval sa obetovaním detí. Kanaánčania obetovali mu aj dospelých, Dt 12,31. Socha Molochova bola dutá, kovová, pol človeka a pol býka. Ruky mal natiahnuté dopredu a držal v nich medenú misu. Pred obetovaním sochu rozpálili a na misu položili dieťa, ktoré potom spadlo otvorom do dutého brucha modly, kde sa spálilo. Boh túto ohavnú modloslužbu zakazoval pod trestom smrti ukameňovaním. V neskorších časoch Izraeliti uctievali tohto boha (Šalamún 1 Kr 11,5; ostatní Izraeliti 2 Kr 17,16 atď.). Moloch je vlastne prepis hebr. melek. Rabíni dali menu výslovnosť podľa slova bošet – hanba.
