1 (HEM) וידבר יהוה אל משה ואל אהרן לאמר אלהם׃
1 (UKJV) And the LORD spoke unto Moses and to Aaron, saying unto them,

2 (HEM) דברו אל בני ישראל לאמר זאת החיה אשר תאכלו מכל הבהמה אשר על הארץ׃
2 (UKJV) Speak unto the children of Israel, saying, These are the beasts which all of you shall eat among all the beasts that are on the earth.

3 (HEM) כל מפרסת פרסה ושסעת שסע פרסת מעלת גרה בבהמה אתה תאכלו׃
3 (UKJV) Whatsoever parts the hoof, and is cloven footed, and chews the cud, among the beasts, that shall all of you eat.

4 (HEM) אך את זה לא תאכלו ממעלי הגרה וממפריסי הפרסה את הגמל כי מעלה גרה הוא ופרסה איננו מפריס טמא הוא לכם׃
4 (UKJV) "Nevertheless these shall all of you not eat of them that chew the cud, or of them that divide the hoof: as the camel, because he chews the cud, but divides not the hoof; he is unclean unto you. "

5 (HEM) ואת השפן כי מעלה גרה הוא ופרסה לא יפריס טמא הוא לכם׃
5 (UKJV) "And the coney, because he chews the cud, but divides not the hoof; he is unclean unto you. "

6 (HEM) ואת הארנבת כי מעלת גרה הוא ופרסה לא הפריסה טמאה הוא לכם׃
6 (UKJV) "And the hare, because he chews the cud, but divides not the hoof; he is unclean unto you. "

7 (HEM) ואת החזיר כי מפריס פרסה הוא ושסע שסע פרסה והוא גרה לא יגר טמא הוא לכם׃
7 (UKJV) "And the swine, though he divide the hoof, and be cloven footed, yet he chews not the cud; he is unclean to you. "

8 (HEM) מבשרם לא תאכלו ובנבלתם לא תגעו טמאים הם לכם׃
8 (UKJV) "Of their flesh shall all of you not eat, and their carcass shall all of you not touch; they are unclean to you. "

9 (HEM) את זה תאכלו מכל אשר במים כל אשר לו סנפיר וקשקשת במים בימים ובנחלים אתם תאכלו׃
9 (UKJV) These shall all of you eat of all that are in the waters: whatsoever has fins and scales in the waters, in the seas, and in the rivers, them shall all of you eat.

10 (HEM) וכל אשר אין לו סנפיר וקשקשת בימים ובנחלים מכל שרץ המים ומכל נפש החיה אשר במים שקץ הם לכם׃
10 (UKJV) And all that have not fins and scales in the seas, and in the rivers, of all that move in the waters, and of any living thing which is in the waters, they shall be an abomination unto you:

11 (HEM) ושקץ יהיו לכם מבשרם לא תאכלו ואת נבלתם תשקצו׃
11 (UKJV) "They shall be even an abomination unto you; all of you shall not eat of their flesh, but all of you shall have their carcasses in abomination. "

12 (HEM) כל אשר אין לו סנפיר וקשקשת במים שקץ הוא לכם׃
12 (UKJV) Whatsoever has no fins nor scales in the waters, that shall be an abomination unto you.

13 (HEM) ואת אלה תשקצו מן העוף לא יאכלו שקץ הם את הנשר ואת הפרס ואת העזניה׃
13 (UKJV) "And these are they which all of you shall have in abomination among the fowls; they shall not be eaten, they are an abomination: the eagle, and the vulture, and the buzzard, "

14 (HEM) ואת הדאה ואת האיה למינה׃
14 (UKJV) "And the vulture, and the kite after his kind; "

15 (HEM) את כל ערב למינו׃
15 (UKJV) "Every raven after his kind; "

16 (HEM) ואת בת היענה ואת התחמס ואת השחף ואת הנץ למינהו׃
16 (UKJV) And the owl, and the night hawk, and the cuckoo, and the hawk after his kind,

17 (HEM) ואת הכוס ואת השלך ואת הינשוף׃
17 (UKJV) And the little owl, and the cormorant, and the great owl,

18 (HEM) ואת התנשמת ואת הקאת ואת הרחם׃
18 (UKJV) And the swan, and the pelican, and the carrion vulture,

19 (HEM) ואת החסידה האנפה למינה ואת הדוכיפת ואת העטלף׃
19 (UKJV) And the stork, the heron after her kind, and the lapwing, and the bat.

20 (HEM) כל שרץ העוף ההלך על ארבע שקץ הוא לכם׃
20 (UKJV) All fowls that creep, going upon all four, shall be an abomination unto you.

21 (HEM) אך את זה תאכלו מכל שרץ העוף ההלך על ארבע אשר לא כרעים ממעל לרגליו לנתר בהן על הארץ׃
21 (UKJV) "Yet these may all of you eat of every flying creeping thing that goes upon all four, which have legs above their feet, to leap likewise upon the earth; "

22 (HEM) את אלה מהם תאכלו את הארבה למינו ואת הסלעם למינהו ואת החרגל למינהו ואת החגב למינהו׃
22 (UKJV) "Even these of them all of you may eat; the locust after his kind, and the bald locust after his kind, and the beetle after his kind, and the grasshopper after his kind. "

23 (HEM) וכל שרץ העוף אשר לו ארבע רגלים שקץ הוא לכם׃
23 (UKJV) But all other flying creeping things, which have four feet, shall be an abomination unto you.

24 (HEM) ולאלה תטמאו כל הנגע בנבלתם יטמא עד הערב׃
24 (UKJV) And for these all of you shall be unclean: whosoever touches the carcass of them shall be unclean until the even.

25 (HEM) וכל הנשא מנבלתם יכבס בגדיו וטמא עד הערב׃
25 (UKJV) And whosoever bears ought of the carcass of them shall wash his clothes, and be unclean until the even.

26 (HEM) לכל הבהמה אשר הוא מפרסת פרסה ושסע איננה שסעת וגרה איננה מעלה טמאים הם לכם כל הנגע בהם יטמא׃
26 (UKJV) The carcasses of every beast which divides the hoof, and is not cloven footed, nor chews the cud, are unclean unto you: every one that touches them shall be unclean.

27 (HEM) וכל הולך על כפיו בכל החיה ההלכת על ארבע טמאים הם לכם כל הנגע בנבלתם יטמא עד הערב׃
27 (UKJV) And whatsoever goes upon his paws, among all manner of beasts that go on all four, those are unclean unto you: whoso touches their carcass shall be unclean until the even.

28 (HEM) והנשא את נבלתם יכבס בגדיו וטמא עד הערב טמאים המה לכם׃
28 (UKJV) And he that bears the carcass of them shall wash his clothes, and be unclean until the even: they are unclean unto you.

29 (HEM) וזה לכם הטמא בשרץ השרץ על הארץ החלד והעכבר והצב למינהו׃
29 (UKJV) "These also shall be unclean unto you among the creeping things that creep upon the earth; the weasel, and the mouse, and the tortoise after his kind, "

30 (HEM) והאנקה והכח והלטאה והחמט והתנשמת׃
30 (UKJV) And the ferret, and the chameleon, and the lizard, and the snail, and the mole.

31 (HEM) אלה הטמאים לכם בכל השרץ כל הנגע בהם במתם יטמא עד הערב׃
31 (UKJV) These are unclean to you among all that creep: whosoever does touch them, when they be dead, shall be unclean until the even.

32 (HEM) וכל אשר יפל עליו מהם במתם יטמא מכל כלי עץ או בגד או עור או שק כל כלי אשר יעשה מלאכה בהם במים יובא וטמא עד הערב וטהר׃
32 (UKJV) "And upon whatsoever any of them, when they are dead, does fall, it shall be unclean; whether it be any vessel of wood, or raiment, or skin, or sack, whatsoever vessel it be, wherein any work is done, it must be put into water, and it shall be unclean until the even; so it shall be cleansed. "

33 (HEM) וכל כלי חרש אשר יפל מהם אל תוכו כל אשר בתוכו יטמא ואתו תשברו׃
33 (UKJV) "And every earthen vessel, into where any of them falls, whatsoever is in it shall be unclean; and all of you shall break it. "

34 (HEM) מכל האכל אשר יאכל אשר יבוא עליו מים יטמא וכל משקה אשר ישתה בכל כלי יטמא׃
34 (UKJV) Of all food which may be eaten, that on which such water comes shall be unclean: and all drink that may be drunk in every such vessel shall be unclean.

35 (HEM) וכל אשר יפל מנבלתם עליו יטמא תנור וכירים יתץ טמאים הם וטמאים יהיו לכם׃
35 (UKJV) "And every thing whereupon any part of their carcass falls shall be unclean; whether it be oven, or ranges for pots, they shall be broken down: for they are unclean and shall be unclean unto you. "

36 (HEM) אך מעין ובור מקוה מים יהיה טהור ונגע בנבלתם יטמא׃
36 (UKJV) Nevertheless a fountain or pit, wherein there is plenty of water, shall be clean: but that which touches their carcass shall be unclean.

37 (HEM) וכי יפל מנבלתם על כל זרע זרוע אשר יזרע טהור הוא׃
37 (UKJV) And if any part of their carcass fall upon any sowing seed which is to be sown, it shall be clean.

38 (HEM) וכי יתן מים על זרע ונפל מנבלתם עליו טמא הוא לכם׃
38 (UKJV) But if any water be put upon the seed, and any part of their carcass fall thereon, it shall be unclean unto you.

39 (HEM) וכי ימות מן הבהמה אשר היא לכם לאכלה הנגע בנבלתה יטמא עד הערב׃
39 (UKJV) "And if any beast, of which all of you may eat, die; he that touches the carcass thereof shall be unclean until the even. "

40 (HEM) והאכל מנבלתה יכבס בגדיו וטמא עד הערב והנשא את נבלתה יכבס בגדיו וטמא עד הערב׃
40 (UKJV) And he that eats of the carcass of it shall wash his clothes, and be unclean until the even: he also that bears the carcass of it shall wash his clothes, and be unclean until the even.

41 (HEM) וכל השרץ השרץ על הארץ שקץ הוא לא יאכל׃
41 (UKJV) "And every creeping thing that creeps upon the earth shall be an abomination; it shall not be eaten. "

42 (HEM) כל הולך על גחון וכל הולך על ארבע עד כל מרבה רגלים לכל השרץ השרץ על הארץ לא תאכלום כי שקץ הם׃
42 (UKJV) "Whatsoever goes upon the belly, and whatsoever goes upon all four, or whatsoever has more feet among all creeping things that creep upon the earth, them all of you shall not eat; for they are an abomination. "

43 (HEM) אל תשקצו את נפשתיכם בכל השרץ השרץ ולא תטמאו בהם ונטמתם בם׃
43 (UKJV) All of you shall not make yourselves abominable with any creeping thing that creeps, neither shall all of you make yourselves unclean with them, that all of you should be defiled thereby.

44 (HEM) כי אני יהוה אלהיכם והתקדשתם והייתם קדשים כי קדוש אני ולא תטמאו את נפשתיכם בכל השרץ הרמש על הארץ׃
44 (UKJV) "For I am the LORD your God: all of you shall therefore sanctify yourselves, and all of you shall be holy; for I am holy: neither shall all of you defile yourselves with any manner of creeping thing that creeps upon the earth. "

45 (HEM) כי אני יהוה המעלה אתכם מארץ מצרים להית לכם לאלהים והייתם קדשים כי קדוש אני׃
45 (UKJV) For I am the LORD that brings you up out of the land of Egypt, to be your God: all of you shall therefore be holy, for I am holy.

46 (HEM) זאת תורת הבהמה והעוף וכל נפש החיה הרמשת במים ולכל נפש השרצת על הארץ׃
46 (UKJV) This is the law of the beasts, and of the fowl, and of every living creature that moves in the waters, and of every creature that creeps upon the earth:

47 (HEM) להבדיל בין הטמא ובין הטהר ובין החיה הנאכלת ובין החיה אשר לא תאכל׃
47 (UKJV) To make a difference between the unclean and the clean, and between the beast that may be eaten and the beast that may not be eaten.
