1 (HEM) ויקחו בני אהרן נדב ואביהוא איש מחתתו ויתנו בהן אש וישימו עליה קטרת ויקרבו לפני יהוה אש זרה אשר לא צוה אתם׃
1 (UKJV) And Nadab and Abihu, the sons of Aaron, took either of them his censer, and put fire therein, and put incense thereon, and offered strange fire before the LORD, which he commanded them not.

2 (HEM) ותצא אש מלפני יהוה ותאכל אותם וימתו לפני יהוה׃
2 (UKJV) And there went out fire from the LORD, and devoured them, and they died before the LORD.

3 (HEM) ויאמר משה אל אהרן הוא אשר דבר יהוה לאמר בקרבי אקדש ועל פני כל העם אכבד וידם אהרן׃
3 (UKJV) Then Moses said unto Aaron, This is it that the LORD spoke, saying, I will be sanctified in them that come nigh me, and before all the people I will be glorified. And Aaron held his peace.

4 (HEM) ויקרא משה אל מישאל ואל אלצפן בני עזיאל דד אהרן ויאמר אלהם קרבו שאו את אחיכם מאת פני הקדש אל מחוץ למחנה׃
4 (UKJV) And Moses called Mishael and Elzaphan, the sons of Uzziel the uncle of Aaron, and said unto them, Come near, carry your brethren from before the sanctuary out of the camp.

5 (HEM) ויקרבו וישאם בכתנתם אל מחוץ למחנה כאשר דבר משה׃
5 (UKJV) "So they went near, and carried them in their coats out of the camp; as Moses had said. "

6 (HEM) ויאמר משה אל אהרן ולאלעזר ולאיתמר בניו ראשיכם אל תפרעו ובגדיכם לא תפרמו ולא תמתו ועל כל העדה יקצף ואחיכם כל בית ישראל יבכו את השרפה אשר שרף יהוה׃
6 (UKJV) "And Moses said unto Aaron, and unto Eleazar and unto Ithamar, his sons, Uncover not your heads, neither rend your clothes; lest all of you die, and lest wrath come upon all the people: but let your brethren, the whole house of Israel, mourn for the burning which the LORD has kindled. "

7 (HEM) ומפתח אהל מועד לא תצאו פן תמתו כי שמן משחת יהוה עליכם ויעשו כדבר משה׃
7 (UKJV) And all of you shall not go out from the door of the tabernacle of the congregation, lest all of you die: for the anointing oil of the LORD is upon you. And they did according to the word of Moses.

8 (HEM) וידבר יהוה אל אהרן לאמר׃
8 (UKJV) And the LORD spoke unto Aaron, saying,

9 (HEM) יין ושכר אל תשת אתה ובניך אתך בבאכם אל אהל מועד ולא תמתו חקת עולם לדרתיכם׃
9 (UKJV) Do not drink wine nor strong drink, you, nor your sons with you, when all of you go into the tabernacle of the congregation, lest all of you die: it shall be a statute for ever throughout your generations:

10 (HEM) ולהבדיל בין הקדש ובין החל ובין הטמא ובין הטהור׃
10 (UKJV) "And that all of you may put difference between holy and unholy, and between unclean and clean; "

11 (HEM) ולהורת את בני ישראל את כל החקים אשר דבר יהוה אליהם ביד משה׃
11 (UKJV) And that all of you may teach the children of Israel all the statutes which the LORD has spoken unto them by the hand of Moses.

12 (HEM) וידבר משה אל אהרן ואל אלעזר ואל איתמר בניו הנותרים קחו את המנחה הנותרת מאשי יהוה ואכלוה מצות אצל המזבח כי קדש קדשים הוא׃
12 (UKJV) And Moses spoke unto Aaron, and unto Eleazar and unto Ithamar, his sons that were left, Take the food offering that remains of the offerings of the LORD made by fire, and eat it without leaven beside the altar: for it is most holy:

13 (HEM) ואכלתם אתה במקום קדש כי חקך וחק בניך הוא מאשי יהוה כי כן צויתי׃
13 (UKJV) And all of you shall eat it in the holy place, because it is your due, and your sons' due, of the sacrifices of the LORD made by fire: for so I am commanded.

14 (HEM) ואת חזה התנופה ואת שוק התרומה תאכלו במקום טהור אתה ובניך ובנתיך אתך כי חקך וחק בניך נתנו מזבחי שלמי בני ישראל׃
14 (UKJV) "And the wave breast and heave shoulder shall all of you eat in a clean place; you, and your sons, and your daughters with you: for they be your due, and your sons' due, which are given out of the sacrifices of peace offerings of the children of Israel. "

15 (HEM) שוק התרומה וחזה התנופה על אשי החלבים יביאו להניף תנופה לפני יהוה והיה לך ולבניך אתך לחק עולם כאשר צוה יהוה׃
15 (UKJV) "The heave shoulder and the wave breast shall they bring with the offerings made by fire of the fat, to wave it for a wave offering before the LORD; and it shall be yours, and your sons' with you, by a statute for ever; as the LORD has commanded. "

16 (HEM) ואת שעיר החטאת דרש דרש משה והנה שרף ויקצף על אלעזר ועל איתמר בני אהרן הנותרם לאמר׃
16 (UKJV) And Moses diligently sought the goat of the sin offering, and, behold, it was burnt: and he was angry with Eleazar and Ithamar, the sons of Aaron which were left alive, saying,

17 (HEM) מדוע לא אכלתם את החטאת במקום הקדש כי קדש קדשים הוא ואתה נתן לכם לשאת את עון העדה לכפר עליהם לפני יהוה׃
17 (UKJV) Wherefore have all of you not eaten the sin offering in the holy place, seeing it is most holy, and God has given it you to bear the iniquity of the congregation, to make atonement for them before the LORD?

18 (HEM) הן לא הובא את דמה אל הקדש פנימה אכול תאכלו אתה בקדש כאשר צויתי׃
18 (UKJV) Behold, the blood of it was not brought in within the holy place: all of you should indeed have eaten it in the holy place, as I commanded.

19 (HEM) וידבר אהרן אל משה הן היום הקריבו את חטאתם ואת עלתם לפני יהוה ותקראנה אתי כאלה ואכלתי חטאת היום הייטב בעיני יהוה׃
19 (UKJV) "And Aaron said unto Moses, Behold, this day have they offered their sin offering and their burnt offering before the LORD; and such things have befallen me: and if I had eaten the sin offering to day, should it have been accepted in the sight of the LORD? "

20 (HEM) וישמע משה וייטב בעיניו׃
20 (UKJV) And when Moses heard that, he was content.
