Kniha proroka Joela

14 (UKJV) Sanctify all of you a fast, call a solemn assembly, gather the elders and all the inhabitants of the land into the house of the LORD your God, and cry unto the LORD,

15 (KAR) Jaj ez a nap! Bizony közel van az Úrnak napja, és mint a pusztítás, úgy jön el a Mindenhatótól.
15 (UKJV) Alas for the day! for the day of the LORD is at hand, and as a destruction from the Almighty shall it come.

16 (KAR) Hát nem szemünk láttára irtatott-é ki az élelem, az öröm és vígasság Istenünk házából?!

17 (KAR) Elsenyvedtek a magvak barázdáik alatt, elpusztultak a gabonás házak, összedõltek a csûrök; mert kiaszott a gabona.
17 (UKJV) "The seed is rotten under their clods, the garners are laid desolate, the barns are broken down; for the corn is withered. "

18 (KAR) Mint nyög a barom! Megháborodtak a marha-csordák, mert nincs legelõjük; bûnhõdnek még a juhnyájak is!
18 (UKJV) "How do the beasts groan! the herds of cattle are perplexed, because they have no pasture; yea, the flocks of sheep are made desolate. "

19 (KAR) Hozzád kiáltok Uram, mert tûz emésztette meg a puszta virányait, és láng perzselte le a mezõ minden fáját.

20 (UKJV) The beasts of the field cry also unto you: for the rivers of waters are dried up, and the fire has devoured the pastures of the wilderness.
