Kniha proroka Joela

1 (HEM) דבר יהוה אשר היה אל יואל בן פתואל׃
1 (UKJV) The word of the LORD that came to Joel the son of Pethuel.

2 (HEM) שמעו זאת הזקנים והאזינו כל יושבי הארץ ההיתה זאת בימיכם ואם בימי אבתיכם׃
2 (UKJV) Hear this, all of you old men, and give ear, all you inhabitants of the land. Has this been in your days, or even in the days of your fathers?

3 (HEM) עליה לבניכם ספרו ובניכם לבניהם ובניהם לדור אחר׃
3 (UKJV) Tell all of you your children of it, and let your children tell their children, and their children another generation.

4 (HEM) יתר הגזם אכל הארבה ויתר הארבה אכל הילק ויתר הילק אכל החסיל׃

5 (HEM) הקיצו שכורים ובכו והיללו כל שתי יין על עסיס כי נכרת מפיכם׃

6 (HEM) כי גוי עלה על ארצי עצום ואין מספר שניו שני אריה ומתלעות לביא לו׃

7 (HEM) שם גפני לשמה ותאנתי לקצפה חשף חשפה והשליך הלבינו שריגיה׃

8 (HEM) אלי כבתולה חגרת שק על בעל נעוריה׃

10 (HEM) שדד שדה אבלה אדמה כי שדד דגן הוביש תירוש אמלל יצהר׃

11 (HEM) הבישו אכרים הילילו כרמים על חטה ועל שערה כי אבד קציר שדה׃
11 (UKJV) "Be all of you ashamed, O all of you husbandmen; wail, O all of you vinedressers, for the wheat and for the barley; because the harvest of the field is perished. "

12 (HEM) הגפן הובישה והתאנה אמללה רמון גם תמר ותפוח כל עצי השדה יבשו כי הביש ששון מן בני אדם׃
12 (UKJV) "The vine is dried up, and the fig tree languishes; the pomegranate tree, the palm tree also, and the apple tree, even all the trees of the field, are withered: because joy is withered away from the sons of men. "

13 (HEM) חגרו וספדו הכהנים הילילו משרתי מזבח באו לינו בשקים משרתי אלהי כי נמנע מבית אלהיכם מנחה ונסך׃
13 (UKJV) Gird yourselves, and lament, all of you priests: wail, all of you ministers of the altar: come, lie all night in sackcloth, all of you ministers of my God: for the food offering and the drink offering is withheld from the house of your God.

14 (HEM) קדשו צום קראו עצרה אספו זקנים כל ישבי הארץ בית יהוה אלהיכם וזעקו אל יהוה׃
14 (UKJV) Sanctify all of you a fast, call a solemn assembly, gather the elders and all the inhabitants of the land into the house of the LORD your God, and cry unto the LORD,

15 (HEM) אהה ליום כי קרוב יום יהוה וכשד משדי יבוא׃
15 (UKJV) Alas for the day! for the day of the LORD is at hand, and as a destruction from the Almighty shall it come.

16 (HEM) הלוא נגד עינינו אכל נכרת מבית אלהינו שמחה וגיל׃
16 (UKJV) Is not the food cut off before our eyes, yea, joy and gladness from the house of our God?

17 (HEM) עבשו פרדות תחת מגרפתיהם נשמו אצרות נהרסו ממגרות כי הביש דגן׃
17 (UKJV) "The seed is rotten under their clods, the garners are laid desolate, the barns are broken down; for the corn is withered. "

18 (HEM) מה נאנחה בהמה נבכו עדרי בקר כי אין מרעה להם גם עדרי הצאן נאשמו׃
18 (UKJV) "How do the beasts groan! the herds of cattle are perplexed, because they have no pasture; yea, the flocks of sheep are made desolate. "

19 (HEM) אליך יהוה אקרא כי אש אכלה נאות מדבר ולהבה להטה כל עצי השדה׃
19 (UKJV) O LORD, to you will I cry: for the fire has devoured the pastures of the wilderness, and the flame has burned all the trees of the field.

20 (HEM) גם בהמות שדה תערוג אליך כי יבשו אפיקי מים ואש אכלה נאות המדבר׃
20 (UKJV) The beasts of the field cry also unto you: for the rivers of waters are dried up, and the fire has devoured the pastures of the wilderness.
